------------------------

Sora and Lucas stared at Henrietta with shock written on their faces.

"Y-Y-You're...S-Sora's... mom?" Lucas stuttered as he could have caught many flies in his mouth with how much he was gaping.

The Exceed turned to his partner. Sora suddenly bent his head low and his body shook lightly. Lucas and Henrietta looked at the dragon slayer in worry. They looked at each other before Henrietta stepped forward and spoke.

"Sora, listen to me. I know it's a lot to take in, I mean I haven't been in your life for the past seventeen years and I completely understand that you're very confused...but I'm here now. I'm here for you, sweetie." Henrietta gave her son the motherly smile she reserved for Sora and Sora alone.

"I..." Sora walked towards the woman slowly, his friends parting before him so he could get a clear path towards him. "I...I...I-I..." Sora continued to repeat the pronoun as he got closer and closer to his father. Lucas watched with interest at the scene before him, but the worry was clear in his eyes.

'Sora...'

Sora came to a stop as he stood in front of Henrietta. His body shook, his fists clenched tightly as he stood before the woman who came from out of nowhere and proclaimed to be his mother. The dragon slayer's head snapped upwards and Henrietta was taken back when she saw just how similar her son was to her.

'You really are my son...aren't you, Sora.' However, Henrietta was surprised when she noticed the emerald orbs that were not much different from her sapphire. Sora looked at his mother and was filled with a mixture of emotions. First there was shock, then surprise, then confusion, followed by more confusion. All in rapid succession. However, his brain reduced the hormones and signals going throughout his body before focusing on two emotions.

Happiness and Sadness.

Henrietta was about to say something when Sora suddenly embraced her in a hug tightly, shocking both her and Lucas.

"I....I always wanted to meet you...Mom."

Henrietta blinked at Sora in surprise for a moment before her face softened and she smiled. She then hugged Sora back. "You've really grown into a fine young man." She said.

Lucas smiled at the scene with a smile when Sora suddenly pulled away.

"Dammit! Not now! Damn tears!" Sora as tears almost spilled down his face before he wipe them away.

"No Sora, it's ok to cry even someone like you deserves to shed tears every now then." Henrietta said.

Sora continued to wipe away at his tears before he dropped his arm and looked back at his mother. "Yeah, I know. It's just this is the second time I've seen you and to find out that you're my mom is just....a bit overwhelming."

"Hmm? You've met her before, Sora?" Lucas asked in confusion.

Sora nodded. "Yeah. The first time was back at the Tower of Heaven and now...Umm, what exactly is this place, mom?"

Henrietta looked around at the yellow clouds. "This is the Corridor of the Afterlife. It's were those on the border between life and death end up."

Sora and Lucas looked at each other then back at Henrietta with pale faces. "Wait, if we were here, does this mean we're dead?! I can't be dead! I promised Lucy that I would still be there for him!" Sora exclaimed while freaking out.

"Yeah! So are so many things I wanted to do in my life!" Lucas yelled.

Henrietta only shook her head, a chuckle escaping her lips. Her white hair, which seemed much more vibrant in the brightly colorful meadow, fell into her face. "No, I can assure that you two are not dead. Like I said before, you are just at the border of life and death."

Processing the information, Sora and Lucas calmed down. "Okay, that's good to know." Lucas breathe out before pausing. "But wait. If that's true, then how come you're here miss Henrietta?"

Henrietta looked down at the ground with a sad smile on her face. "Well, there's two reasons for that." She replied before speaking again. "The first reason is....I've been dead for a long time now..." Hearing that shock the duo to their cores.

"What do you mean you're dead!?" Sora yelled. "That has to be some kind of joke, right?"

"No, it's the the truth." Henrietta replied, "And the other reason was that I needed to tell you something important, Sora."

"What is it?" Sora asked, though he was still shocked at the last part.

"You already know a dragon named Pydron, right?" Henrietta asked.

Sora was taken back by the question. "Yeah, I do. He's the dragon that raised me and taught me Dragon Slayer Magic." He replied before tilting his head in confusion. "How do you know him?"

Henrietta smiled sweetly at Sora. "Because...he's my husband!"

Sora and Lucas eyes bugged out of their heads in shock with their jaws hanging low, frozen in disbelief.

"HHHHHHUUUUHHHHHH!?"

Henrietta tried her best not to laugh at their shocked expressions. "What is it?"

"W-What do you mean Pydron is your husband!?" Sora exclaimed loudly. "How is that even humanly possible!?"

"Yeah, how can someone married a dragon!?" Lucas agreed.

Henrietta shook her head at them. "If you two would've let me finish, you would've known that Pydron had the ability to become a human as well."

"Seriously?" Sora asked. "But I've never seen him become one before..."

"It was because he lost his ability to become one before you were born." Henrietta explained.

Sora rubbed his head to get his thoughts together. It was one surprise after another today. "So, you're telling me that Pydron is my real Dad?" He asked, making sure he heard right.

"Yes." Henrietta nodded.

"So if Pydron is Sora's real father and you're his mother, then that's means Sora..." Lucas trailed off as he looked at his friend.

"Is a Dragon/ Human hybrid. Half human, half dragon." Henrietta confirmed.

"Whoa!" Sora said, taking a step back. "That's some heavy stuff to take in at once."

"It is, but it's also the reason you were born with a large amount of Magic Power." Henrietta spoke again.

"Wait what?" Lucas questioned.

"When a hybrid of any kind is born, they're gifted with so much magic power that they're considered stronger than either side of their genes. So far, Sora is the first and only hybrid that exists." Henrietta replied.

"Then that would explain why I'm so strong...and why Acnologia called me a 'Hybrid'." Sora muttered before a thought came to his mind. "Hey Mom? If you knew Pydron, do you know of any dragons by the name of Igneel, Metallicana, Mellow or Grandineey?"

"As a matter of fact, I do. Why do you ask?" Henrietta wondered.

"I'm friends with their adopted children," Sora said.

"Ah. The other Dragon Slayers?" Henrietta asked.

"You know of them?" Lucas asked in surprise.

"I known them through the dragons. Truthfully, I was friends with them, almost like a family. Igneel, The Fire Dragon King. A powerful dragon that was quite scarred, thanks to the fights that he participated in with other dragons. Metallicana, The Iron Dragon. A bit brutish, but not horrendous. I met him and while we butted heads at times, he didn't wish to squabble either. And Grandina, The Sky Dragon. Beautiful as dragons go, although unrestrained in tongue; she often angered many dragons through her words. Mellow, The Sliver Dragon. Very humble. Regarded herself as equal to everyone, and displays very little hubris toward her status as a dragon. Pydron...well, you know. Along with a few other dragons, they were kinder and wished for coexistence," Henrietta said.

"Do you know where they are now?  Sora and the others wish to see them again," Lucas asked.

Henrietta sighed. "I wish I could tell you, but it's not my place. Only they can tell you."

Sora frowned at that. "Aw man, really? I was hoping to get a lead on them."

Henrietta placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know you and the other Dragon Slayers missed them, sweetie. But I promise you that when the right time comes, you will see them again."

Hearing that brought a small smile to Sora's face. "Yeah, you're right."

Henrietta then became serious. "Also, there's one more thing I need to warn you about."

Sora noticed how serious his mother became and knew he had to pay attention to what she had to say. Lucas also chose to listen as well.

Henrietta then spoke. "There's a powerful wizard from 400 years ago roaming the world. He just as, if not, dangerous as Acnologia. He power makes all the enemies you've encountered so far look like child's play."

Sora narrowed his eyes at that. There was a powerful wizard that was as strong as Acnologia? But who? Could it be Zeref?

"Are you talking about Zeref?" Lucas asked, seeming to have read Sora's mind.

Henrietta shook her head. "No, not Zeref. But not far from him. The wizard I speak of is named Genesis."

Sora became quiet for a moment. He knew her heard that name before from somewhere. He continued to think about til his eyes widen at the recognition . "W-What?" he said.

"What's wrong, Sora?" Henrietta asked him.

"I know a guy by that name. I fought him back on Galuna Island and was barely about to put a scratch on him because I couldn't fight at my full strength at night. I was able to drive him away after a while, but I he's still alive and kicking."

"What?" Henrietta said in shock before gritting her teeth. "If that's the case, then he appears he's planning to make his move..."

"What do you mean by that?" Lucas wondered.

Henrietta looked back at them both. "I believe that when you fought Genesis around that time, he was holding back most of his power because he was testing you power. And if I'm right, he's going to attack you again in the near future without holding back a thing. "Which means, I'll have to give you this..." She suddenly placed her hand on Sora's chest, before he was soon outlined in a faint white, which hummed softly, like a flock of hummingbirds. After a second or two, it vanished.

"What was that?" Sora asked, feeling a tingly feeling inside.

"I gave you some of my magic. I have a feeling you're going to need it in the future." Henrietta explained.

"Wow! You're a wizard to. Miss Henrietta?" Lucas asked in surprise.

Heniretta nodded. "Yes I am, but not just any wizard. I'm an Angel Slayer."

"A Angel Slayer!?" Sora and Lucas exclaimed in unison. They've never heard about this type of Slayer magic. There was Dragon Slayer Magic, God Slayer Magic, and even Devil Slayer Magic. But this was one magic they never heard of or read about. "Does that you mean you have the ability to slay Angels?" Sora asked.

"Yes." Henrietta replied. "Like other Slayer Magic, it was to learn this magic of the teachings from an Angel. Anyone who used this type of magic gained the ability to generate a specific element of his/her body for defensive and supportive purposes but also there are offensive."

"So, I have Angel Slaying Magic too?" Sora asked.

"Well, not exactly. Only those who were taught it can use that magic. But since you were  born from a Angel Slayer and you have some of my blood in your veins, You should be able to use that amount of magic and make it your own." Henrietta said.

Sora looked down at his hands in amazement and saw little flickers of white light dance around his fingers.

"Whoa, this feels great." He mumbled to himself.

"I also have one more gift, this time for both of you." Henrietta said as the duo's clothes glowed and Sora was now wearing new clothes while Lucas was wearing a new scarf.

"Wow..." Sora said, admiring his new attire in awe.

"This is awesome!" Lucas exclaimed, bringing his new scarf to his face.

Henrietta smiled at them. "I'm glad you like your new attire. I figured that you would want to see your friends again in style."

Sora grinned at his mother. "Thanks a lot mom, really." Then a sad expression spread across his face. "But, can I ask you something?"

Noticing Sora's expression, Henrietta replied. "Of course, sweetie. What is it?"

Sora became quiet for a moment before speaking again. "It's just that....what happened that cause you to end up here?"

If Henrietta was surprised by the question, she didn't show it. Instead she took a deep breath before answering. "It was some time after your birth. My best friend Anna told me that you had more magical power in your tiny body than the average mage could ever hope to have and that you would grow into a powerful mage. Pydron and I both believe that you were destined for greatness. However, some time after your birth, Dragons saw you as an abomination and threat that need to be destroyed, while, many humans wanted to use you as a weapon. The only Dragons who accepted you were Pydron, Igneel, Grandeeney, Metalicana, Weisslogia and Skiadrum."

"So that's the beginning of the nightmare..." Sora said as his fists clenched at his sides.

Heniretta nodded. "Before long, a dragon raid came and torched everything to the ground in order to find you and kill you. When they attacked, I decided to step in then and took on most of them. The ones I didn't get Pydron did. Your mother asked me to protect you and keep you safe. One of the dragons got through and went to strike you, but.... I took the attack to keep you from harm."

This caused Sora and Lucas' eyes to widen at shock at what they heard.

"Before I drifted off to the afterlife, I had you sent somewhere so you be safe. After that, the rest was history." Henrietta finished. "I'm so sorry I wasn't there to raise you...or to love you."

Sora's head was lowered to the ground as his orange bangs covered his eyes.

"Sora, are you alright?" Lucas asked, noticing his best friend's behavior.

"Don't apologize," Sora told Henrietta as he lifted his head. "Maybe I never understood what a mother's love is really like but I had Pydr- I mean, Dad to begin with so I managed. But now I get it, I live because you gave up your life for me. You filled me with love before I was born so here I am, happy and healthy. I'm glad I end up being your, son so don't ever think you weren't a good mother."

Tears began to fall down Henrietta's eyes at Sora's words before she brought him into a hug. "I am proud of you Sora and I want you to continue to become the man you are growing up to be. There was nothing in this world that was more valuable to me at all. I love you so much and I always will." Henrietta stated tearfully as she began to fade.

"M-Mom!" Sora said in shock.

"They're calling me. I wish there was a way I could stay with you but I belong here now. This is the last time I get to see you, until you make your journey here." Henrietta said.

"You're leaving...?" Sora mumbled in sadness.

"Don't worry, You have an entire guild waiting for you to return to them. Especially that Lucy girl. I hope to have lots of grandchildren so I can looked down on them from above." Heniretta said with a teasingly smile.

"Mom!" Sora yelled with a blush, not wanting to have this conversation. Lucas just laughed at him.

"Sora...for letting me be your mother and letting Pydron be your father. Thank you for being our son," Heniretta kissed his forehead, hugged him tearfully and looked over at Lucas. "Please watch over him," she told the Exceed.

"I will," Lucas nodded.

With that, Henrietta dissolved and disappeared completely.

"Hey you okay Sora?" Lucas asked, looking over at said dragon slayer.

"Yeah I guess" Sora said, looking up at where his mother vanished before he dropped his head and sighed.

"What happens now?" Lucas asked.

"We get on with life and keep living for today." Sora replied.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah. I'm just happy that I finally got to meet my mother. I'm sad that she's gone now, but now I I'm a part of Fairy Tail, which is my family too, I guess I'm complete. Sora said. "By the way, thanks Lucas."

"For what?" the Exceed asked.

"For becoming my friend" Sora replied with a grin.

Lucas looked surprised at first before he smiled. "Roger that." Then he looked around for a moment. "So how are we supposed to get back?" he asked.

As if to answer the question, a bright light appeared behind the duo.

"I guess we go out that way" Sora commented as he head for the light.

"Hey, wait up!" Lucas called before he summoned his wings and flew after his partner.

Once they reached the light, it suddenly flashed brightly and enveloped both Sora and Lucas. After the light died down, the duo was gone and returned to the living.

---------------------

(Flashback ends)

"...Somehow, that portal we went through transported us to some unknown part of Fiore. So we it took us a while to get back. After that, we found out that 7 years has passed since the incident on Tenrou Island. So, we rushed back here as fast as we could when I sensed you guys heading here and here we are now." Sora said finished with the story.

Once he was done, he saw everyone's jaws hanging open, frozen in disbelief.

'If they fell any further, they would be in the ground', Lucas thought.

"There's no way," Gajeel finally said.

"It's all true." Sora said.

"It can't be..."Erza spoke in shock.

"Oh it is." Sora nodded.

"So you really are part dragon then?" Lisanna asked.

Sora nodded again. "Yeah."

Everyone was shocked to hear that Sora was some kind of hybrid. It was an even bigger shock when he told them he was part dragon too.

'Is that's why he was able to damage Acnologia so much?' Makarov and Gildarts both thought.

"That is so cool, bro!" Natsu exclaimed as he appeared beside Sora. "Does that you mean you turn into a dragon!?"

"I doubt it. I'm only part dragon, remember?" Sora deadpanned.

"I guess that would also explain why you have so much magic power as well." Levy commented.

"A dragon married to a human...is that even possible?" Gray asked.

"Well, she did say Pydron use to have a human form." Lucas spoke up.

"Then, is is true that she was friends with Grandeeney and the other dragons too?" Wendy asked astonished.

Sora smiled. "Yeah, she said they were as close as family. She didn't give me any info about where they are. All she said was they will explained once they returned."

"Well, it still nice to know that regardless." Lexi said.

"And from the looks of it, she's already considered Lucy her daughter-in-law." Cana said as she looked over at Lucy with a smirk, causing said Celestial Spirit mage to turn red at that.

This caused the rest of the guild to laugh at the girl's dismay.

"Well what are we waiting for..." Makarov grinned at her friends, "let's celebrate as usual!" The group of mages cheered and soon Fairy Tail was back to being the rowdiest guild in Fiore.
