Somewhere in the city...

"Here!" Gajeel growled as he attacked Rogue. The two dragon slayers had gotten their fight underway and it looks like he was gaining the upper hand.

"Waah!" Rogue yelped as he was knocked back from an Iron Dragon's Club.

"You can't get stronger than me in one day." Gajeel told him. "Give up. You can't beat me if you weren't able to defeat the Lionheart in two."

"You're..." Rogue glowered at him, "...not as strong as Sora Lionheart or Natsu Dragneel."

"What the hell did you..." An angry vein popped up as Gajeel gave him an intimidating glare. "...just say to me? You punk."

"You're passionate, as I thought." Orga smirked as he clashed with Laxus, their lightning attacks sparked around them in a display for dominance.

"You talked big and this is all you can do?" Laxus replied.

"I wonder..." Orga took a step back, getting ready for another attack while Laxus waited for him patiently.

"Hoho." The sound of sandals clopping across the ground caught their attention. "Some strong fellows here..." It was none other than Lamia Scale's monster. " Can I join in? I can finally feel my blood boil."

"Jura of the Ten Saints." Orga said.

"So we get to meet, Monster." Laxus grinned, his hands twitching in anticipation.

"You're the one bewitching Lyon!" Chelia said as she and Juvia continued their catfight, neither one of them was gaining the advantage.

"Juvia only has eyes for Gray!" Juvia shot back and they growled at one another before butting heads.

"It's surprising to see Chelia have such a hard time with her enemy." A voice spoke, catching Chelia's attention.

"Shit! Not the best place to get to.." Another voice spoke, catching Juvia's attention. Together the two girls spun around to see the objects of their affection stand before them.

"How come you're so worn out Gray?" Lyon grinned.

"We'll take care of you at once." The Ice mage retorted.

'We'll take care of you at once. We'll be together forever. I love you, Juvia.' "Where are we going for our honeymoon, Darling?" Juvia immediately latched onto Gray with a blush on her face.

"What the hell is inside your head!?" He asked her.

"No way!" Lyon growled, making a fist. "I must make Juvia realize...that I'm a much better man than Gray!"

Outside the city...

"...Where the hell are we now?" Natsu asked, a tick mark throbbing painfully on his head.

"Looks like a dining room." Sora replied, looking around.

"I didn't think we would get lost." Loki frowned.

"This is a problem." Mira added cheekily.

"I don't really know a lot about Mr. Castle's structure..." Yukino mumbled, ashamed to be useless in the time of need.

"Mr. Castle? How do you know the gender of the building?" Wendy asked her.

"We're supposed to escape as soon as possible to inform everyone of our situation." Lily said while Carla nodded her head in agreement.

"Aye." Happy said.

"I agree." Kiki replied.

"To be faster, let's just find some soldiers and ask them." Lexi offered with a slight grin. 

"And if they can't help us we can always fight." Natsu smirked.

"It's like you two were meant for each other." Carla huffed, shaking her head. "Besides, we would end up with more wounded people."

"But with so many of us we might succeed." Lucas said.

"That's not the only issue...our guild is currently fighting in the Games." Mira said with a worried expression before changing it into a happy one. "It's a tournament sponsored by the king. We should try not to leave a bad impression."

"We already beat all of the Executors...I think it's a little too late for that." Wendy reminded her.

"She does have a point." Yukino said.

"Lucy, you don't have to worry so much over that." Loki said as he watched his owner carefully. She hadn't said a word this entire time and she was looking at her future self with concern.

"Yeah." She said, giving him a small smile.

"Hrgggh..."

"Oh!" Lexi said when they noticed that Future Lucy had regained consciousness.

"Are you ok?" Lucas asked as he fluttered over. "Future Lucy?"

"Where am I?" Future Lucy asked as she rose to a sitting position, hand to her head.

"Dunno. Sora said it looks like the Castle's dining hall." Wendy told her as they looked around. There was definitely a dining table and a lot of gold items decorating the walls.

"So we're still...inside the castle..." Future Lucy paused for a moment to gather her thoughts. "According to my memory...after we escaped from Hell Palace...we all...get captured again by the Royal Army. That's why we must let them know first..."

"Is that what actually happened to Future Lucy?" Lily wondered.

"What are you saying?" Lexi frowned at her, arms crossed over her chest. "They can't possibly catch us."

"Indeed. It doesn't look like we could lose so easily." Mira added.

"While escaping, we happen across Eclipse." Future Lucy continued. "Because of that we're unable to use magic and they caught us."

"That sounds dumb." Natsu said. "Our future selves sound like total morons."

"We were just unlucky..." replied Future Lucy.

B'ad luck...' Yukino thought, looking downcast.

"We stayed in jail...until that time arrived..."

"That time?" Happy looked at Future Lucy in concern.

"Uhm...why did you come from the future, Lucy?" Wendy asked her.

"For real. What what's this about?" Sora asked.

"To change the worst possible future." She replied, looking at the ground.

"The worst future?" Lexi repeated, unsure by what she meant by that.'Was it possible to have a future worst than a bad future?'

"What happened in the future you know...?" Yukino asked her.

"In the future from which I came...only despair is awaiting us. A swarm of more than 10,000 dragons will attack the kingdom." She said, shocking everyone speechless. "The city will be burned, the castle destroyed...and many lives will be lost."

Natsu and Sora's jaws hit the ground. "WHAT....THE...HELL!?"

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" Lucas and Happy exclaimed.

"You're too loud." Lily bristled.

"A heard...of over...10,000 dragons..." Mira stammered. 

"How...How is that even possible?!" Yukino muttered.

"As if Acnologia wasn't bad enough." Lexi gulped.

"Could it be somehow connected to that graveyard Natsu showed us?" Wendy asked.

"I wonder..." Carla said as she thought deeply.

"We can't stand here and wait!" Sora said as he comically wore a army uniform while holding a shield and a cannon.

"He's right! We're going to have to fight!" Natsu said, wearing a helmet and holding a bunch of spears under his arm.

Lucy's jaw dropped.  "You guys want to fight these things!?"

"We can't take on that many dragons!" Happy cried.

"Will everyone...believe us?" Future Lucy asked.

"Is it a lie!?" Natsu rounded on her immediately with a shocked expression. "Are you screwing with us!?"

"NO! But I wonder, will the others believe something like this...?" Future Lucy clarified herself.

"Why would anyone...doubt your words, Luce?" Sora asked her.

Hearing that, Future Lucy's eyes widened before she looked away and smiled with a blush.

"My future self shouldn't be so miserable." Lucy smiled. "You should trust your friends more often."

"Are you lecturing yourself?" Future Lucy chuckled lightly. "But you're right..."

'Now it makes sense!' Carla thought, thinking back on the images she got while the group ended up in Hell Palace in the first place...no...when she had the first image of the white knight. 'The crumbling castle...Lucy singing...no...she was crying and screaming...' Her eyes lit up in confusion. 'Crying...? Why!?'  "When the dragons arrive...What happened to us in the castle?" She asked Future Lucy.

"Carla...imagine it. I guess we..." Wendy couldn't finish her sentence since she didn't want to say it.

"Do we die?" Lexi asked.

"That is...will we die?" Mira added.

"I refuse to believe we went out like that!" Sora declared.

'Is it because they were with me?' Yukino frowned. 'How unfortunate...'

"I don't know how many days passed. But when I woke up... I remembered about Eclipse. I didn't know how to activate it, but...somehow I managed to open the gate. I believed that maybe I could come back to the past..." She looked at them. "And well...I'm really back in the past. On July 4th of X793."

"Wasn't the 4th just a few days ago?" Loki spoke up.

"Can't you travel earlier than that with Eclipse?" Mira questioned.

"I don't know...a part of it was broken, maybe it's because of that...There are lacrimas scattered around the city to film the Games. I want you to meet Jellal and the others using an underground passage."

"Jellal?" Natsu asked with a confused look.

"That blue-haired guy that Erza really likes?" Lexi asked as she pictured the man.

"I told him everyone. I think now he should be thinking of a strategy." Future Lucy told them.

"Thinking of a strategy...?" Lucy said.

"Sorry. I didn't come from the future with a strategy." Future Lucy apologized. "I don't know how to prevent that."

'Indeed...' Arcadois thought. He had regained conscious and listened into the conversation. He remembered asked about Hisui about this and the Princess told him about the mysterious being from the future.'You told the Princess about Eclipse 2. And it's also a lie that you came on the 4th.' His eyes narrowed dangerously as he watched Future Lucy. 'Why are you lying to your friends!?'

" I'm really sorry...I didn't know what to do here...so far I've been wandering around the town..."

"Cheer up. We'll do something about it." Sora grinned.

"Eh?" Future Lucy looked up as Sora's hand came behind her and pressed her forehead against his with passionate grin on his face.

"No more tears, let's get moving. To protect our future...Fairy Tail will definitely change it."

Future Lucy's Flashback..

Sora and Natsu were walking through intense flames towards a massive dragon with glowing eyes.

"Thank you..." Future Lucy spoke, tears coming down as the group smiled at her. "Let's hurry, the passage is this way." Getting to her feet she led the group and grabbed a torch so that they could see what was ahead of them.

"How do you know the way?" Natsu asked her as they followed behind.

"Because I wanted to avoid getting captured by the Royal Army again."

"So you explored the basement ahead of time?" Lucas asked.

"Good thinking." Kiki said as the Exceeds ran alongside them.

"We must get out fast to send a signal to the others." Mira said.

"They're probably worried about us." Wendy agreed as she ran by her side.

"Yeah no kidding!" Lexi said.

"We found the escapees!" Suddenly voices reached their ears as a lot of soldiers appeared before them. "Get them!"

"The Royal Army?!" Future Lucy looked in shock, causing everyone behind her to stop running. "I didn't expect them to be stationed here..."

Natsu cracked his knuckles. "Don't worry. We got magic. This'll be a walk in the park

"Arcadios vanished!" Wendy said as she looked behind her for the knight before realizing that he wasn't the only one missing. "Yukino isn't here either."

"Why did they go off on their own at a time like this?" Lucy frowned. Her future self remained quiet.

"I don't care about that knight, but I can't leave Yukino alone." Mira stated firmly as she turned around. "I'm going back."

"Mira! We must stay together!" Lucy yelled after her.

"Everyone...be careful...I leave the rest to you!" She said as she disappeared.

"You got it, Mira." Sora said as he turned to face the army and popped his neck.

"Fine then! We'll settle things here once and for all!" Natsu declared.

"Yeah, I'm with you guys." Loki stated and they charged at the enemy, bulldozing them over.

"We're going to break through!"

Back to the city...

"Try saying it again." Gajeel threatened. "Who would be easier than who?"

"Rogue..." Frosch said as he watched his partner kneeling in front of the iron dragon slayer completely out of breath.

"I think I'm starting to understand..." The shadow dragon slayer said. "...the reason you joined Fairy Tail."

"What do you mean?"

"It makes sense that you don't remember. I was just a bald boy at the time...just a kid that admired the guild you were in, Phantom Lord."

'Why is he bringing them up? ' Gajeel wondered but he kept his mouth shut as Rogue told his story.

"But then the guild broke up after losing to Fairy Tail. And what's more, you even joined their guild. I couldn't believe it...why would you join the guild that destroyed Phantom Lord...but there had to be a reason...for you to stay. And now I understand it. " Rogue smiled. "Friends...right? Sabertooth doesn't have that concept. We're the master's army. Orders are absolute. Victory was absolute." His body started to tremble as he remembered all that he and Sting went through. "What's a guild? What are friends...? What am I fighting for...? Now I also understand why you're strong, and why we can't win against you." 'Except for the Lady since she's impossibly powerful...and Sting after he awakened because of Lecter, I guess.'

"Stand up." Gajeel ordered roughly. "You haven't understood a damn thing." He stooped down till he was at Rogue's eye level. "The frog...is your friend isn't he?"

"The frog?" Rogue said with confusion.

"Fro agrees!" Frosch said with happiness.

"Frosch is a cat!" The shadow dragon slayer snapped.

"To be precise he's an Exceed." Gajeel fired back. "Right?"

"That's true..." Rogue smiled. "Frosch is my friend. You're no match."

'Rogue!' Suddenly a wave of energy surrounded him and a voice filled with malice and hatred spoke to him.'Look ahead. The enemy is still...in front of you.'

"Who are you!?" Rogue exclaimed, looking around wildly. "Where are you?!"

"Uh? What's going on?" Gajeel asked, watching him.

'Rogue...kill Gajeel. That is your destiny.'

"Where are you!? Damn it! Show yourself!" Rogue ordered once more.

'Idiot...I'm your shadow.' Rogue looked down in fright as a sinister eye looked back at him from the dark depths. 'I'll lend you my power. Kill Gajeel.'

"Hey! You okay? What's the matter?" Gajeel sensed something evil coming off of his opponent, the dark aura that surrounded him was something he had never seen before. "Hey! Speak to me!" When he tried to reason with him he was knocked back, crashing to the ground.

"Gajeel!＂Levy shouted.

"What's going on!?" Cana growled.

"W-What happened? Rogue is suddenly acting weird!" Chapati said.

"Maybe Gajeel said something to him?" Yajima offered.

"Here we go! Kuboh!＂Matoh exclaimed with glee.

"You bastard..." Gajeel snarled as he rolled to a stop.

"Kukuku...I'll lend you some of my power, Rogue." A voice different spoke.

"Who are you?"

"Shadow." The voice said, surrounding Rogue's body with a dark aura. "The shadow that controls destiny."

"What are you sa-...Gwah!" Gajeel didn't get to finish his sentence before he got kicked. "I don't know what happened, but I guess you wanna fight to the end. Interesting! Iron Dragon's Sword!" He changed his arm into a sword and stabbed at Rogue who disappeared upon impact.

"Shadow Dragon's Waxwing Flash!" The slayer suddenly reappeared, attacking Gajeel with a torrent of shadows from his hands.

"Gajeel!" Levy exclaimed.

"Who...Who is that?" Frosch stared in shock when he saw Rogue fighting.

"Gh!" Gajeel grunted as he somersaulted back and landed on his feet. "Where did he go?" He looked around when his foe was nowhere in sight.

"Here. Shadow Dragon's Slash!" Rogue jumped out of Gajeel's shadow and punched him swiftly.

"That is..." Makarov said as he watched the fight.

"He's possessed by something..." Mavis frowned, noticing that Gajeel was struggling to land a hit. Rogue was doing a hit-and-run tactic, hitting and retreating back into his opponent's shadow at fast speeds. 'A remarkably evil magic...that I've never seen before!?'

"Ugh...uh..." Gajeel growled as he glared at his enemy, blood spilling out of his wounds.

"As I thought, you aren't as strong as Sora Lionheart...or Natsu Dragneel for that matter." 'Shadow' mused, an evil glint in his eye. "Though not even those two could compete with me now."

"This magic!" Ultear tensed up as she felt an ominous presence. "There's no mistaking it! It's coming from the town."

"Stay calm." Jellal said, his eyes flashing as he felt the disturbing presence as well. "Future Lucy is involved in a battle. As long as Sora and the others are with her there's no need to fret." Inside the underground passage, the air was filled with shouts and cries as the small group of mages battle bravely against the Royal Army.

"Stay back, Lucy." Lily said as he turned into his giant form and swung his blade.

"I'm fine!" She replied, whipping some of the guards with her whip. Kiki smiled as she knocked her share of guards around with her bare fists with Lucas in their Neko Forms.

"Take this!" Wendy yelled as she pulverized her opponents with a Sky Dragon's Crushing Fang.

"Sliver Dragon's Wind Attack!" Lexi yelled as she tore through the guard with sliver wispy 'wings'.

"These guys are just kids, but they're strong." Some of the guards faltered at the sight of their opponents. "Call the anti-magic unit! We're not letting them pass!"

"I would like to see you try!" Natsu growled, as he threw a solider at the others, knocking them all down.

Solar light began to surround Sora. "Screw this! A present from yours truly! Soalr Dragon's Secret Art..." He moved his arms in a circular motion and the golden light danced around him. "Soaring Solar Crusher!"

"AIEEEE!" The guards all tripped over one another as golden torrents lashed out at them, licking at their heels.

"Stand back! We're the anti-magic unit!" A new set of guards arrived at the scene with some kind of staff in hand.

"The kingdom has a unit like that too?!" Carla spat with disgust.

"Ha...hahaha!" Natsu grinned asshe prowled towards them. "Do you really think...that with that sort of puny magic...you can stand a chance against a specialist?" Placing his hands near her mouth he took a deep breath, his cheeks swelled up. "Fire Dragon's Roar!"

"This is the famous Gajeel? What an easy job." 'Shadow' proclaimed as he started to choke Gajeel to death. The iron dragon slayer couldn't land one scratch on his opponent and was now at his mercy, his feet barely touching the ground as the hand around his throat tightened.

"Please stop!" Levy screamed. "He's going to die! Gajeel!"

"Frosch must go." The Exceed had abandoned his post and hurried down the hall as fast as his legs could take him. "Frosch must take Rogue back."

"The shadow will erode you." 'Shadow' smiled as he dropped Gajeel on the ground. "And you will disappear forever. Sleep in the darkness." He started to shroud Gajeel's body with dark aura.

"Eheh..." Gajeel grinned. "If Salamander, Lionheart and the little girl can do it, then so can I!"

"What are you..." 'Shadow' asked until he realized what Gajeel was doing, his mouth opened as he sucked in the darkness. "No way..."

"He ate...the shadows...!?" Levy gasped as Gajeel got back to his feet.

"Gehehe...I don't know who you are you bastard, but get out of his body."

"Rogue's?" 'Shadow' asked.

"Also his name is not Rogue. He's Raios and used to be my disciple. You didn't look up to me. I know better than anything else that I wasn't that kind of guy." Soon Rogue's magic flowed through Gajeel's body, covering him in a pure black aura. The dragon slayer's red eyes gleamed as he grinned. "You feared me. I'll help you remember...that fear."

'This is...A Iron Shadow Dragon!?'
