Under the arena...

"I am the head of the Holy Chivaric order of the Cherry Blossoms, a part of the army of the Kingdom of Fiore that is stationed in Crocus. My name is Arcadios." Arcadios introduced himself formly to the group.

"And I'm Yukino Agria, temporary sergeant." Yukino also introduced herself but she knew that they know who she was.

"Why is the upper stratum of the army here in person?" Gray pondered.

"Yukino...weren't you a member of Saber tooth?" Lucy asked.

"You said they forced you to leave, right?" Happy asked.

"Exactly." Carla agreed. 

"I'll explain. We needed the power of a Celestial wizard for a certain strategy...so we asked Sergeant Yukino to help us." Arcadios said.

"A Celestial wizard...!?" Wendy repeated.

"Wait! I don't understand what you're talking about!" Natsu growled, "Stop saying complex stuff and tell us what you want!"

"You're Natsu Dragneel, right?" The man smiled. "Even though you weren't the main attraction in the tag battle, it was still really wonderful."

"I couldn't care less." In one second, Natsu got up close and personal, his eyes boring deep into Arcadios's. "I'm more interested to know why you need a Celestial wizard. If you've got something to say, say it clearly."

"Natsu...I think you know already, but that's an upper ranking officer." Happy stated nervously.

"Then you shouldn't say 'that' either..." Lily added.

"...Come with me." Whirling around, Arcondios proceeded to leave, clearly disturbed and a bit frightened by Natsu's aggression.

"Lucy, I will ask you too." Yukino spoke stiffly. "If this plan is successful...we will be able to defeat Zeref and Acnologia." Seeing as there was no other choice the group followed the two to the Flower Light palace, Mercurius. 

"Now that everyone is present," Arcadios spoke as looked at them. "First of all...I would like to apologize for trying to kidnap Lucy a few days ago. It was a mistake."

"That was your doing?!" Sora snapped, his anger level rose a bit. 

"Of course I didn't mean to cause any harm." Arcadios said as he led them down a long flight of stairs. "But I guess I was a little forceful. That time I believed we needed a Celestial wizard immediately, so I ended up taking a hasty decision. I'm sorry." The stairway led to a huge hallway and they proceeded to walk, their heels hitting the tiled floor which echoed around the walls. "The Domus Flau was a camouflage to obtain a great amount of 'magic' from various wizards."

"Have you been stealing magic every year?" Lexi asked.

"How dirty." Gajeel stated loudly.

"You can say whatever you wish." Arcadios said calmly, Yukino walking a few steps behind him with her eyes glued to the front. "It was all for the sake of a certain project. "Eclipse, the door that can change the world, requires a large amount of magic power to build it." The hallway yawned open, leading into another chamber. Within it stood a giant device.

"A door!?" The group gasped as they stared at it.

"When the sun and the moon intersect...open the door with the 12 keys. If you open the door, you will be able to travel back 400 years...and defeat Zeref before he was immortal. This is the Eclipse Project." Arcadios explained, leaving the group speechless.

"T-Travel back in time..!? Is such a feat possible?" Kiki asked.

"Lucy, I heard that time flows differently in the celestial spirit world." Yukino said, getting the blonde's attention.

"That's true, but..."

"We want the help of a Celestial wizard to use the dimensional boundary line of the Celestial Spirit world to open the door." Yukino looked absolutely determined to see this plan succeed, almost as if Zeref's destruction was her only goal in life.

"Originally we were meant to substitute the Celestial wizard with pseudo-magic..." Arcadios said, "But with a real celestial wizard and the 12 keys this project will be even more perfect. It's absolutely necessary when the sun and the moon intersect. In other words, in 3 days on July 7th I would like you to help us, Lucy-dono."

"Eh?" She replied with a dumbfound look on her face before she felt Sora grip her hand.

"July 7th...." Natsu muttered.

"That was the day our dragons vanished." Wendy said.

"Is it just a coincidence...?" Gajeel wondered.

"An eclipse, the intersection of the sun and the moon." Gray stated to himself, the gears in his mind whirling as he tried to match pieces of the mysterious puzzle but there just wasn't enough information.

"Stop there!" New voices spoke and soon they were surrounded by men clad in armor, spears pointed in their direction.

"The Kingdom's army?!" The Fairy Tail mages looked at them in confusion and apprehension.

"What the hell is going on!?" Sora yelled.

"Was this your plan as well?" Lexi glared at Arcadios. "You led us into a trap?!"

"Please be quiet." Some of the men stepped aside to allow another man through. This man was an old, hunched man with a pair of big ears, hammer shaped eyebrows and a scar on the left side of his face, right near his nose. He wore a dark cap that covered most of his forehead, a light colored robe underneath a dark vest and a simple pair of shoes for footwear. He looked displeased as he looked at the group but mor importantly as the man in front. "Colonel Arcadios."

"Minister of the Defense, Darton." Arcadios replied in shock, "What does this mean!?"

"I should say that." Darton replied curtly. "It's absolutely outrageous that you would reveal national top secret information to outsiders."

"They're not outsiders!" Arcadios said angrily, "As you probably know, they will have an important role in this plan."

"That isn't something so easy that you can decide on your own." Darton told him.

"You're just against this project!" By now Arcadios was yelling at the minister while the others stood by and watched．"Please stop this nonsense right away!"

"Of course I'm against it!" Darton fired back. "You want to change history! Can you even imagine how dangerous that might be!? Brat!" That seemed to shut him up as he tried to figure out a plan to get out of the mess. By now the Fairy Tail mages stood in a circle, back to back, looking at the army with angry looks.

"That's true...if you change the past..." Happy frowned.

"The present will change too." Carla finished his sentence, paws on her hips.

"As well as the future." Lucas said.

"I'm arresting you for treason against the country!"Darton ordered. "I'm going to arrest Yukino Agria and Lucy Heartfilia too! Expel the others from here!"

"What?!" Gray exclaimed.

"Hey, why me..!?" Lucy yelled.

"Bastards...don't you dare drag Lucy into this..." Sora growled as he started glow, already creating a golden fist. 

"If you want her, you'll have to go through us!" Natsu said, igniting his flames

"Stop! You mustn't use magic here!" Arcadios shouted but it was too late. The sun ensignia on the door glowed brightly as a reaction to Sora and Natsu's magic and suddenly sucked away all of it away, sealing it shut.

"Sora!/Nastu!" Lucy and Lexi cried out respectively.

"Didn't you hear? The Domus Flau was a system to steal small parts of a wizard's magic to send it to Eclipse. But if you try to use your magic when you're so close it will be absorbed completely." Darton said as Sora and Natsu fell to the ground, completely drained and out cold. "Do not cause a ruckus. Wizards unable to use magic aren't considered enemies by our army."

"Wait! Let go!" Lucy struggled as the army grabbed her and restrained her.

"Aren't you supposed to be Arcadios' subordinates!?" Yukino yelled as she recognized some of the men.

"Lucy!" Lexi and the gang yelled as they watched their comrade get dragged off.

"Darton!" Arcadios bellowed.

"I won't let you activate Eclipse." the old man replied as he threw the rest of the Fairy Tail mages out. They glowered at him, Sora and Natsu were still pasted out and carried by Gajeel and Lexi respectively.

"Don't think you'll get away with this." Lexi growled as he turned his back on them.

"I would like you to understand that this is not simply my will. It's all for the sake of the country..."Darton replied. "However...I have an advice for you. His majesty really likes Fairy Tail. If you win the Daimatou Enbu I will let you have an audience with him. He is a magnanimous person, I'm sure he'll show consideration toward your friend." and with that he left, closing the door behind him.

"Let's go back." Lexi said. "I don't know how long till Natsu wakes up but he's getting heavy."

As Sora was being carried, he groaned muttered lowly. "Lucy..."

Fairy Tail base...

"What?＂Makarov looked at the group in confusion. When they got back, Erza went off to find the Master and returned with him, Laxus, Juvia and Mirajane. "Lucy was captured by the kingdom's army? And she was accused to be involved in some mysterious project?"

"So in other words, we can only get back Lucy if we win the Games?" Laxus asked, arms folded across his chest.

"Of course we're not even sure we can trust their word." Gray replied.

"Who cares about that!?" Natsu roared, upset that he couldn't save Lucy. "I'm going to save her now!"

"Please calm down, Natsu." Wendy said. Knowing that the fire dragon slayer was going to throw a tantrum the moment he woke up, Erza tied him to a post to prevent him from escaping and do reckless things.

"Are you alright, Sora?" Lexi asked said dragon slayer.

"I will be...once I bust Luce out of jail." Sora replied, tapping his hands together.

"Master." The red-headed mage looked at Makarov for some guidence.

"Hmmm...We can't act rashly, since we're against the king...on the other hand, they can't treat the citizens roughly." Makarov said slowly, "They're probably using her as a hostage until the Eclipse Project is blocked."

"But...I still don't get it. Why did they let us go after we discovered top secret information?" Gajeel asked.

"Maybe they want to use us as witnesses to condemn that Arcadios in the future." Kiki suggested.

"Still, we might very easily spread the top secret information..." Carla added.

"Is that even a good idea?" Lily asked. "Think about the consequences. What would happen if everyone knew about this project? There'll be an uproar and probably riots."

"That would be bad business for the kingdom." Lucas said.

"Maybe they realize they can't hid it much longer." Erza said. "Like Lily said, we don't know what will happen. Let's keep this to ourselves for now."

"If they captured all of us, no one would've known about it anyways." Gray stated.

"Well if you think about it, you're participants of the Games." Mira added. "It would be suspicious if you suddenly didn't show up tomorrow."

"Aren't you as well Mira?" Lexi asked only to get a small grin in response.

"I don't think the kingdom wants a wizard guild as their enemy." Juvia said.

"To us it's irrational that they would arrest Lucy. But the kingdom's army probably considers it just." Erza said with an angry expression on her face. "That's low."

"Stop blabbering, let's go save her!" Natsu roared, snapping out of his binds.

"Cool down."

"Guwah!" Natsu grunted as he was crushed underneath Makarov's giant fist.

"They got a member of our family, it's no time to celebrate." The master stated with a serious expression. "I'm sure we're all thinking the same. Considering our opponent, this time we cannot just attack them...without thinking about the consequences but, here at Fairy Tail...we aren't cowards either."

"Got that right." Sora said as he stood up. "Speaking of which, I got an idea how we can kill two birds with one stone."

Flower Light palace－Dungeon...

"I didn't think it could end up this way..." Yukino sniffed as she huddled against the cold wall, knees drawn up against her chest. "I really...attract bad luck..."

"What are you saying?" Lucy stated, looking at her with a smile. She was by the bars ever since she and Yukino were thrown in their little cell. "If you have time to be depressed you should use it to think about a way to escape!"

"Lucy..."

"Once we escape, first of all we must get back the keys."

"I'm really sorry." Yukino apologized.

"It's not your fault." Lucy assured her. "We were just involved in this internal strife of the kingdom, that's it. In the end it's all about whether this Eclipse Project should be executed or not, right? To be sincere, I actually don't know myself what is right."

"It should...be executed." Yukino said determinedly. "I used to have an older sister. Her name was Sorano. Whatever I did I was always clumsy and made my parents angry. But she always defended me. She was kind...and beautiful...I really loved her. But one day a sect of blind believers of Zeref killed our parents and took my sister away. I was barely able to escape, let alone save my own life. I don't even know whether my sister is alive or not." Tears started to form in her eyes and she hugged her knees a little tighter. "With the Eclipse project we can defeat Zeref. If Zeref had never existed, my sister would..."

'Maybe she wouldn't have been taken away...' Lucy thought as Yukino buried her head and wept silently. 'But...the world might not necessarily change in a way that pleases us. That's the danger of changing history the minister was talking about. She turned her head up to gaze at the ceiling. Is it really possible...to change the past?' 

Touching the ring on her finger absentmindly, Lucy thought 'Sora...please get here.'

The next day...

The last day of the games had arrived and to start off there were tons of fireworks. The stands were filled with the cheering crowds, all pumped up and ready for some action.

"At last! At last it's here! The last day of the Grand Magic Games, the wizards' passionate festival!" Chapati announced, "No matter whether you're happy or sad, today the winner guild will be decided! Today's reporter will be me, Chapati...and the commentator will be Yajima, ex-member of the council."

"Hello again." The old man said.

"And the special guest is...! Mato, official mascotte of the Grand Magic Games!"

"Heya!" The mysterious pumpkin character said as he waved at the crowd.

"Are you ready to be a referee today, Mato?" Chapati asked him.

"Today I'm okay, kaboh. Let's do our best kaboh!" Matoh replied.

"And now it's time for the team to enter." Chapati looked as the gates opened. "Currently in 6th place, will they be able to make a comback? The Hound dog, renamed the Puppy, Quattro Puppy."

"Aaarooo! Yeah!" The guild pumped their fists into the air at the cheers they recieved.

"Next, Blue Pegasus! Lamia Scale! Mermaid Heel!" One by one the teams all filtered out when their names were announced. "And currently in second place, will they have to capitulate!? Or will they get back their title!? Sabertooth!" When the group appeared some of the audience members whispered amongst themselves.

"Uh? The cats that were cheering..."

"One is missing." Frosch stood silently and alone, looking at the field with sad eyes.

"Oh? They look different somehow." Chapati commented.

"Maybe they renewed their fighting spirit?" Yajima questioned.

"They look so cool!" Matoh clapped his hands in excitement.

'Lector...' Sting thought and imagined the cat cheering loudly for him. "Leave it to me. I won't lose again."

"And last but certainly not least, the current number 1! The guild that 7 years ago was considered the strongest made its comeback! Fairy Tail!" Chapati said but as the group finally showed themselves everyone was a bit confused. Instead of the normal members, the group contained Erza, Juvia, Gray, Laxus and Gajeel. "It seems like they have changed their members!"

"Juvia!" Lyon gasped, blushing at the sight of her standing next to Gray with a fierce look on her face.

"Sora or Natsu aren't here!?" Rouge snapped as he looked at the members.

"It's ok, Rogue." Sting said with a smile. "We should consider ourselves lucky then."

"How come Sora who was so skilled in the tag battle, isn't here!?" Chapati asked. "And not only him but Natsu Dragneel isn't present either."

"Uhm...maybe something happened?" Yajima questioned.

"So the brats magic still hasn't recovered." Darton mused as he watched from the balcony. 

C'mon Fairy Tail! Let me see your spirit!" Natsu yelled, getting smiled and grins from his comrades.

"Juvia! Do your best in place of Lexi!"

"Gray! Show them you're a real man!"

"Erzaaa!"

"Gajeel, beat them all!"

"Laxus! Show them how brave you are!" The guild members also roared loud and proud for the team.

"You thought a lot, 6th." Mavis said calmly.

"Actually, this was Sora's idea." Makarov replied, surprising Mavis. "If we in the Grand Magic Games we might be able to get back Lucy lawfully. However, since we cannot trust their words completely...we cannot fight with only one strategy. Now is the best chance because everyone is busy watching the tournament. Even we should be busy cheering on our team, normally."

"Behind the scene, an extra team is going to save Lucy." Mavis agreed. "Basically, it's a strategy that uses two fronts. Very clever."

"I leave it to those brats." Makarov chuckled.

Somewhere in town...

"Let's go." Sora took the lead with Natsu, Lexi, Wendy and Mira behind her. Lucas, Kiki, Happy, Carla and Lily flew beside them as they hurried to the palace. Not knowing what could happen, Sora had his his blade strapped on his back.

"It sounds like the last fight is about to start." Mira said, turning her head towards the arena as tremendous roaring could be heard.

"Good, this is the perfect opportunity!" Natsu replied.

"But how can we enter the castle without being noticed?" Wendy asked.

"We could probably disguise ourselves in costumes..." Lexi looked at them with a questioning look. "Of course it might be a little too obvious since we'd probably stick out like a sore thumb."

"Don't worry about it." Mira smiled. "I already have a plan."

"We'll do our best to save Lucy." Wendy added before looking towards the arena. "I wish good luck to Erza and the others as well."

"I'm sure they'll be fine." Lexi nodded in agreement. "C'mon, we have a family member to rescue."

Sora continued to look forward with a determined gaze. 'Hang on, Luce. I'm on my way!'
