Ryu: COME ON! I'M ALMOST THERE!!

Ryu was racing to the palace having finally broken through all of Freed's runes.

Ryu alright just a little bit further.

Elsewhere.

Natsu and Gajeel were fighting Laxus and not doing well.

Laxus: Ha! Your kidding right? This is the best you can do?!

Natsu: Damn it!

Gajeel: Who would've known he was this strong.

Laxus: I'll admit, Raito worried me for a minute, but now he's out of commission. And with Ryu out of the way, there's no one to save you! RAGING BOLT!!

Laxus threw a massive blast of electricity to the two who were on the ground. When it landed there was an explosion that kicked up a lot of dust and made a dust cloud in the area Laxus hit.

Laxus: Haha! Who's the strongest now? I guess you can't answer that since your both dead!

???: That's still me Thunder Bolt.

Laxus' eyes widened as the smoke cleared and revealed Ryu with his hand out.

Ryu: Yo. Gotta say Laxus, those barriers you had Freed put up, was a full PAIN to get out of.

Natsu: Ryu?!

Gajeel: Wait, you broke through the barriers too?!!

Ryu: Please, as if some walls could stand in my way. Now Laxus, I think it's time we settle this. You and me. 1 on 1.

Laxus: Fine by me! We can see who the strongest in Fairy Tail really is!

Ryu: Again, me. Now go all out if you want to stand a chance.

Laxus: All out?

Ryu: Don't think I haven't caught on to your little ruse. You want all of us to think your going at us full blast just to bring my guard down.

Laxus: Smarter than you look. Alright then.

Gajeel: Be careful! A little while before you got here we whipped out a ton of Dragon Slayer Magic on him and it didn't even scratch him.

Natsu: Yeah! If he really hasn't been going all out you've gotta be careful!

Ryu: Right. Alright Laxus, let's see how you fight against someone who's slayed a REAL Dragon.

Laxus: I'll let you in on a little secret. I haven't told anyone about this since I hate the old mans lectures, but I guess I can trust the three of you.

His canine teeth started to grow shocking the three. His muscle mass started to increase even more than it was making his shirt rip off. His arms became slightly scaly getting Ryu and the others confused. He roared and lightning shot from all around him.

Natsu: You've gotta be kidding me!

Gajeel: Oh no way.

Ryu: That's the power of-

Laxus: LIGHTNING DRAGON-

Ryu: He's a Dragon Slayer?!

Natsu: I HAD NO IDEA!

Laxus: ROAR!!!!!!!

Ryu: Both of you get behind me!!!

A beam of lightning came straight at them and Ryu inhaled.

Ryu: Magma Dragon: ROAR!!!!

Ryu our his own breath attack and it collided with Laxus' causing a massive explosion. With everything cleared up Natsu and Gajeel were both on the ground electrocuted while Ryu stood there slightly scuffed.

Ryu: Tch, lucky shot. If I roared any sooner I wouldn't even be scuffed.

Laxus: Hahaha!! So you wanted me at my Full Power?! Well here it is!!

Ryu: A Lighting Dragon Slayer Huh? That sure is a new one. Alright then, let's see what you can do.

Ryu jumped side to side before sprinting to Laxus. Laxus went for a straight punch while Ryu countered with his own punch. Laxus swept him bellow the legs and was ready to slam Ryu with a downwards double axe handed slam. Ryu caught himself with his hands and blocked the attack. The impact made the ground gave in below them and Ryu adjusted his hands.

Ryu: Magma Dragon: Talon!!

He kicked Laxus in the face once before spinning around on his hands and kicking him another 4 times. He pushed off the ground and kicked him one last time in the ribs. Laxus only smirked and grabbed Ryu's leg before slamming him into the ground.

Laxus: Lightning Dragon: IRON FIST!!!

Laxus punched Ryu in the face sending him into a nearby pillar. Ryu got back up and cracked his knuckles and wiping the blood off of his mouth. He ran towards Laxus with a speed surpassing that of earlier appearing almost instantly in front of Laxus.

Ryu: Magma Dragon: Blazing Claw!!

He landed a powerful claw attack on Laxus' stomach making him spit out blood and go skidding back.

Ryu: What wring big guy? I see you can dish it out, but can you take it?

Laxus: Oh, I'll do more than just that! You three losers, Erza Mystogan and Raito, the old geezer, those weaklings in Fairy Tail, and the pathetic people of Magnolia, YOUR TIME IS OVER NOW!!!!!

Even more power exuded from Laxus and rays of light shone from beneath the ground.

Ryu: No damn way. How in GODS name, did you manage to figure out how to do that? I haven't even figured out how to do that.

Natsu: This feels like one of gramps' spells.

Gajeel: This guys insane. He's trying to cast Makarov's Ultimate judgment spell. It'll target anyone the caster see's as their enemy.

Laxus: That's right! I've masters the Fairy Law spell!

Ryu: Mastered is probably a stretch but I'll bite.

Ryu stood firm with his arms crossed over his chest.

Natsu: What are you doing Ryu?!!

Gajeel: Are you crazy?! That spell will destroy all of us!

Ryu: Please, I know it won't do anything.

Laxus: I must've knocked a screw loose in your head! You should know as well as I do how this spell works!

Ryu: It destroys whoever the caster see's as their enemy, I know that. That's why I'm saying: Go ahead and use it. I know how that spell works inside and out.

Laxus: Your funeral!!

Gajeel: You don't know what your doing! We all need to get out of here!

???: Laxus! STOP!!!

We all turned around to see Levy.

Ryu: Levy? What are you doing here?

Levy: UOU'VE GOTTA SEE THE MASTER HE DOESN'T HAVE MUCH TIME! Master Makarov... I mean your Grandfather, IS CLOSE TO DEATH!

Ryu: Gramps is what?!

Levy: Stop this now! Go see him one last time! Please, hurry before it's to late!!

Ryu: Gramps is going to die? No... It can't be true.

Levy: PLEASE LAXUS!!!

Laxus: ..... This is working out perfectly for me. Now that the old man is at deaths door I have an even better chance at becoming Fairy Tails new master.

As soon as Ryu heard this, his pupils went straight to slits. About 7 veins appeared on his forehead and he clenched his fist.

Ryu: What did you just say? I'm not sure I heard you thunder brain.

Laxus: This is a the don of a new era for Fairy Tail! I'll rebuild everything from the ground up. I'll build the ultimate Guild!

One so powerful, ALL WILL TREMBLE AT OUR NAME!

Levy fell so the ground in disbelief.

Levy: No... Laxus...

Natsu: You can't do this!! Don't you care about gramps at all?!!

Ryu: Oh trust me Natsu, he DOES. And I'm gonna make him realize that after he finishes that stupid spell, and I be the stupidity out of him.

Laxus: Fairy Law!

He clasped his hands together making a Magic Circle appear. When it did, the entirety of Magnolia was engulfed in light. Dust clouds had circled around the palace and Laxus had been smirking.

Laxus: I've finally surpassed the old man.

Ryu: Not even.

Ryu swiped his hand dispelling all of the dust revealing that everyone was still alive. Slightly hurt, but alive none the less.

Laxus: What? Impossible!

Ryu: Your next line is- 'How in the Hell are you all still alive?!!" Right?

Laxus: How in the Hell are you all still alive?!! WHAT?!!!

Ryu: I think you misread the fine print of that spell bud. You may think you consider us as enemies, but your heart has something else to say.

Laxus: My what?! Stop talking nonsense and tell me how your still alive!!

???: The other Guild members and the citizens of Magnolia remain unharmed.

Freed was at the door looking like he was at the wrong end of a long fight.

Ryu: Yeah just as I thought. Let me explain Fairy Law to you Laxus. Fairy Law is indeed one of the most powerful spells in existence. It targets whoever the casters HEART see's as their enemies. Your mind quite possibly see's us as enemies, but your heart doesn't. No mater how many times you try to hit us with that spell, it won't kill us.

Laxus: What are you trying to say?!

Ryu: Your heart says volumes. That tells me all I need to know. You can deny it, but that spell showed us the truth. We're family. Even I couldn't use that spell on a member of Fairy Tail or Magnolia. Now go see your grandfather before I start beating you to a pulp.

Laxus: Let the old man die for all I care! He may be family, BUT I'M STRONGER!!!!!

Lighting lashed out from around him.

Ryu: WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! You might be his Grandson but you aren't even stronger than me!! Blood ties are meaningless!!! Everyone in the Guild is family!!

Laxus: That's just a lie! Blood ties do mater!!

Ryu: I'LL HAVE TO SHOW YOU THAT YOUR WRONG!!

Laxus: AND YOUR DEAD!!!

They rushed at each other and slashed fist. The entire cathedral was shaking. The roof blew of as their battle took to the skies.

Ryu: Why did you even bother coming up here?! You know I can fly! Magma Dragon: Wing Attack!!!

He spun around hit Laxus with a whip of lava. As they fought Ryu had been inner monologging.

Ryu: 'I never thought we'd have to face off with stakes like this Laxus. Even though I never said it flat out, I respected you. And even now, I can't help but admire how you became so strong on your own. Back then, if you went all out, I could've lost. You moved so much faster, fought so much harder. Your a Wizard that I'll respect until the end. But seeing how your acting right now... this isn't the real you.'

Laxus: Lighting Dragon: Demolition Fist!!!

A Magic Circle appeared in front of Laxus as he punched it and a massive fist made out of lightning hit Ryu. The battle was so intense that there were sparks going in the air.

Laxus: Why won't you just DIE?!!!!

He struck Ryu with a powerful kick making him fly down to the ground. Ryu transformed and recovered just before hitting the ground, while also avoiding an areal attack from Laxus.

Laxus: This can't go on forever! We might equally tied in power but my ability to become heartless gives me the edge!!!

Ryu reverted back to normal and smirked.

Laxus: I can't understand what's so funny! Why do you tell me?!!

Ryu: It's funny that you think being heartless makes you stronger, but it's even funnier that you think I'm giving it my all.

Laxus: Your bluffing! You've pulled out all the stops to keep up with me in this fight?

Ryu: I still have one last transformation Laxus.

Gajeel: Did he just say he had another transformation?

Levy: Wait, he can transform again?

Natsu: Wait, could mean that?

Laxus: WELL THEN SHOW ME THIS POWER SO I CAN CRUSH IT AND YOU!!!

Ryu: If you want.

Ryu's aura began to brighten up as he adopted a familiar look once again.

Natsu: Wait! That's the form he took back at the Tower of Heaven!

Gajeel: Whats going on with him? He's completely changing, and his power is going through the roof.

Levy: Is that his true power?

Freed: The power of a true Dragon Slayer. It's mind boggling.

Hiro: It's his Dragon Force.

Ryu: HRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Ryu shouted to the sky and magma from his body into the sky, piercing the dark clouds and revealing the blue skies.

Freed: His power split the clouds?!

Ryu: I'll give you one chance Laxus. Surrender now and things can end peacefully.

Laxus: I WILL NEVER SURRENDER TO THE LIKES OF YOU!!! LIGHTNING DRAGON: HEAVENWARD HALBERD!!!!!!

Laxus threw a massive trident of lightning towards Ryu.

Ryu: Don't day I didn't warn you. HRAAAA!!!!

Ryu punched the trident breaking it apart.

Laxus: NO WAY!!

Natsu: With just one punch?!

Ryu's body was engulfed in magma as he readied to attack. In the blink of an eye, he was in front of Laxus with his fist cocked back for a punch.

Ryu: Magma Dragon: Scorching Fist!!

He punched Laxus in the stomach making him go up.

Ryu: TALON!!

Ryu doin kicked him back down only for him to reappear in the same place he continued his adult for his next attacks.

Ryu: WING ATTACK! LAVA BASH! BLAZING CLAW!!

Levy: He's amazing. I can feel the attacks from all the way over here. Its almost like the force of his magic is strong enough to break through a Dragons scales and destroy its spirit.

Freed: Dragon Slayer Sacred Arts.

Ryu: Volcanic Emperor: MAGMA DRAGON FIST!!!

Ryu sent a barrage of lava strikes at Laxus sending him crashing down to the ground out cold.

Ryu: WRYYYYYYYYY!!!!

After he finished that battle cry, he went back to his normal state and looked at Laxus.

Ryu: I wish it didn't have to come down to this..... my friend.

Time Skip!

Ryu: PFFT!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Man Laxus really did a number on you guys didn't he?!!!

Ryu was currently laughing at Natsu and Gajeel who had so many bandages and cast on that they looked like mummies. Raito was behind there struggling to hold his laughter at.

Raito: *Snickering* You sure you don't want me to get the rest of you both? Make you fit the look?

Gajeel: Screw you and your parade.

Natsu: *Muffled noises*

Lucy: Do you have any idea what he said?

Ryu: He said he's still gonna perform.

Lucy: YOU UNDERSTOOD THAT?!!

Raito: Wait you cant?

Gajeel: Come on, how are you going be apart of the action? Your out

Natsu: *Muffled noises*

Raito: HA!!!

Gajeel: That's got nothing to do with it bro! What the heck's your problem!

Lucy: Can you translate Ryu?

Ryu: Oh no problem. He said-

Gajeel: SHUT UP!!

Ryu: Fine I won't say it.

Raito: I WILL! Natsu says he thinks Gajeel is scared of singing!

Gajeel: HOW COULD YOU?!!

Lucy: How can you understand?

Victor: I think they're both use to here incoherent nonsense.

Hiro: Yeah probably. Fish stick?

Victor: I'd love one!

Ryu: So, Fairy Tail is pretty nice huh?

Raito: Yeah, I think I know what makes it so nice here. It's not that there are powerful Wizards, but everyone treats each other like family. That's what Phantom was missing.

The guild became silent as they heard footsteps. They saw Laxus who was badly hurt and bandages all over enter the guild.

Macao: Laxus?

Wakaba: What do you want?

Laxus: Where's the old man?

Jet: We ain't telling!

Droy: You think you can just-

Ryu: That's enough you two.

Everyone looked at Ryu was was walking towards Laxus.

Ryu: Follow me.

Ryu began walking to the infirmary and Laxus followed.

Let: Are you nuts?!!

Ryu: Do you wanna get hurt?

He backed off as they walked to the door of the infirmary. That is until they were interrupted by a very ticked off Natsu.

Natsu: *Vicious Muffled Noises*

Ryu: Seriously? Now?

Laxus: Natsu.

Natsu: *More Muffled Noises.*

Ryu facepalmed at Natsu before continuing to walk.

Ryu: Don't get your hopes up Natsu. There's a chance there isn't gonna be a next time.

Laxus followed while Natsu was getting angrier. That was until Laxus actually waved, making his rage subside, and making him actually feel accomplished from getting Laxus to acknowledge him.

Ryu: Alright guys, when I get back down here, I better see you all giving your getting ready for the parade!

The guild started cheering as they still went up the stairs.

Ryu: Here it is.

Laxus: Thanks.

This surprised even Ryu.

Ryu: Did you just...

Laxus: Yeah?

Ryu: Holy cow I must've hit you harder than I thought. Must've put a screw back in place.

Laxus was about to retort to that before shaking his head.

Ryu: I think we both know this is goodbye.

Laxus: Yeah...

Ryu: Well. I'll tell you this now. I've always respected you as a Wizard and even a man.

Laxus' eyes widened before Ryu walked away and waved.

Ryu: See yah around, Senpai.

Laxus had tears welling in his eyes before walking into the infirmary.

Time Skip!

The Fantasia Parade had started and everyone in Magnolia had made time to see it. There were many different floats. Mira and Elfman were on a float were he was transformed into his beast soul and Mira had turned into a giant pink snake. Juvia and Gray were on another one where they made a castle of ice dressed as a prince and princes and as well made the words "Fairy Tail". Erza was in a different outfit making swords spin and Requiping into different outfits as well. Natsu and Happy walked down the street with flames behind them. Natsu shot out flames that spelled Fairy at the price of much coughing. Now we come to Ryu and Raito on a float with dragon wings that were made out of is but had lava inside of them.

Ryu: Ready for this bro?

Raito: Always.

They each held their hands in the sky shooting magma and ice balls up in the sky. When they collided they bursted in the sky creating something very unexpected.

In the sky formed Northern Lights the spread across for miles and miles. Even reaching as for to a Guild called Cait Shelter.

Elsewhere!

A certain girl looked at the sky in amazement.

???: Northern Lights all the way out here?

She slightly smiled possibly knowing the cause of this.

Back to the Parade!!

Ryu and Raito transformed and took flight. They left trails behind them and flew in until the created a Fairy Tail emblem in the sky.

Raito: Alright Ryu, it's time for your big moment.

Ryu: Our big moment.

They flew down to the front float and Ryu grabbed a microphone, and Raito grabbed a guitar.

Ryu: ALRIGHT PEOPLE OF MAGNOLIA! I hope your ready, cause this is gonna come from the soul!

Everyone cheered and Lucy got slightly confused.

Lucy: Whats he planning?

Bisca: Oh right, you never found out, Ryu is a singer!

Lucy: He is?!

Levy: Yeah, he's just as good as Mira is.

He took a deep breath.

Ryu: Author?

I got you.

Ryu: Hey Fairy where going?
I'm trying to assemble all this light.

OH YEAH! Because I lost my voice while doing the same!

The crowd had began cheering at the amazing duo. Ryu had sung his heart out while Raito had played as hard as he could. They were both exhausted and looked at each other before fist bumping and bowing to the crowd. Ryu pointed his index finger and thumb out pointing to the sky. All of the guild had done the same. Ryu took off his jacket and threw it into the crowd.

Raito: Well say goodbye to that.

Ryu: I know, but I have better ones. Until the next one Readers.

PS: I know I said I'd take a break from doing this story, but I am having WAY to much fun with this!
