The Wall

Miraak sat in the park, relaxing as he looked up at the sky. "Who will be going with you? The mission is a tough one, and the barkeep seemed adamant you take a team." Shrugging Miraak ran a mental list of people as he tried to answer the wraith. "Probably Nashi and Igneel, I've known them my whole life, and trust them with it." The wraith sighed. "As you say boy. Don't forget our primary goal. I sense the call of something with a familiar power, and intend to find out what it is." Sighing Miraak stood, looking at the wraith briefly. "We should go ask them." He stated, marching off to the guild hall.

"Do we really have to take the train?" Nashi asked, visibly shaking at the very thought of the train. Miraak, not understanding she got motion sick due to her magic. "Yeah, it's the fastest way, why?" Igneel nudged his friend. "Dragon slayers get motion sick. I don't because my magics not developed enough, but hers is." Miraak got a look of realization on his face. "Ah, got it." Looking back to Nashi he held her shoulder. "Don't worry Nashi, it's not too long of a ride." Miraak said, patting his friends back now. Visibly she seemed to relax, nodding as she listened to her friends calming voice. As the train now stopped in front of the team, opening it's doors as they all entered.

Nashi groaned miserably, laying on her seat across from Igneel and Miraak. "You didn't say she'd be this bad Igneel." Igneel shrugged, taking satisfaction in one of the few areas he was better than Nashi in. "Eh, either way all we can do is wait to get there now."

After several hours on the train, and going through hell for Nashi, they now stood on the train station deck in the northern part of Fiore. "Ok, mission said we'd find the guy in town. Let's get moving." Miraak started walking without looking back to see if his friends were following him.

"Oh, you three are the ones who came to help me?" The elder man asked, coming out from behind the counter of his shop. "Yes sir, now what do you need us to do? The request didn't explain anything sir." Miraak spoke with the politeness due to his elder as the man went to a bookshelf. "Well for starters, could you move it? The issues behind it." Nodding to his friends Miraak grabbed one end while Igneel got the other, lifting with their combined strength they slowly moved the bookshelf to the side. "There, now, do you see anything?" Looking to the wall in confusion, the trio didn't see anything. "No, what should we be seeing?" Igneel asked bluntly. Pointing again the man told them to look closer, the wraith now appeared at Miraaks side, plunging Miraaks view into the wraith world, and exposing the intricate glowing on the wall. Stepping back Miraak now saw it was a portrait. A portrait of Voratu.
