Lucy recalled everything that has happened to her in such a short period of time; the large amount of success she was able to obtain.

Three days ago...

Lucy sighed as she sat down on the train, brushing the hair out of her eyes.  Looking out the window, she realized she had made it just in time for the departure.  Clutching the sides of her hooded-cloak for comfort, Lucy suddenly felt alone.  She didn't want the guild to worry, not at all.  But the biggest thing that mattered right now was saving their lives.  If she could just---

The unfamiliar city began to darken as it began to rain, pooring across the streets and down the road.  Lucy stood in the middle of the street, clothed just like she was in reality.  Shocked, Lucy's breath catched as she blinked in surprise.  Turning, she saw that the town was completely deserted; empty.

"Hello..?"  She yelled over the roar of the rain.

All of the sudden Lucy was surrounded by the ruined versions of the previous homes; they were burnt, on fire, and completely destroyed.

Before Lucy could cry out, the buildings disappeared and were replaced by..

The guild.

Feeling relieved to be back home, Lucy jogged to the front door.

"Everyone!"  She called, her face alightas she swung the door open.  "I'm so glad you're--"

She gasped.

It was empty; no one was there.

When she turned to try and look behind her, she screamed at the image before her.  Blackness surrounded her, but there was a short illumination to show her friends; her family!

They were dead.

Lucy exclaimed loudly, flying out of the vision with a yelp.  As she panted heavily from the pounding of her frightened heart, her knees shook from drained energy as she recalled the vision again.

The same one...  She thought softly, clenching her teeth.  It seems to get more and more painful everytime I see it.

Before she could stop it, however, she was thrown into another vision.

Lucy was in the middle of the same forest from her previous dream.  The foreboding calls of wild creatures in the distance echoed through the trees, making Lucy clutch her arm in fright.

Caballeen...

Stopping abruptly, Lucy ran the word through her mind again.

Being thrown from the vision, Lucy collapsed to her knees as the whistle blew for departure.

Caballeen?  She thought, her eyes wide.  Is that...the name of the forest I was in?  Her expression suddenly turned hard.

Guess I'll have to find out.

Lucy arrived in Beltran a few hours later, and she instantly tensed when she remembered that Zeke's guild, Darkauroral, was here.  Despite that thought, the town looked peaceful and happy; something Lucy didn't really expect.  Stone buildings with red roof-tops and people lining the streets for marketing made Lucy's mood brighten.  She also knew there was a famous library here, and it was so for not having a single book that wasn't interesting or helpful.

Lucy decided to head there first, want to see if - possibly - there was anything there that could help Lucy shed some light on all her questions.  When she got there, she took a moment to take in the library's astounding layout.  Five floors escalated above her; the way to get there by using teleporting escalators.  People would stand in a circle of runes that moved them up to the floor they wanted with a swoosh.  Seeing the library desk and the librarian as well, Lucy walked towards her and felt her old cheery self come back for an instant.

"Excuse me?"  Lucy asked, stopping hesitantly in front of the desk.

The librarian looked up.  "How can I help you, sweetheart?"

"Could you tell me where I can find books on ancient civilizations?  Or..something like that?"  Lucy sweat-dropped.

The lady blinked.  "Could you try to be more specific?  Maybe I could narrow it down for you."

Lucy nodded, somewhat nervous.  "Um..ever heard of anything with the word Caballeen in it..?"

The librarian's eyes flickered with recognition.  "You mean the Tale of the Great Caballeen Superiors?"

That was the closest thing Lucy recognized; after all, it did have Caballeen in the name, so it definately had to be similiar.

"Yes, that's the one!"  Lucy exclaimed with slight excitement.

Smiling, the woman pulled out a note card from a drawer and wrote a code on it with her pen.  "Say this when you get to the fifth floor; it's a priceless - and not to mention old - story that will probably be in the far back shelves."

Lucy nodded.  "Thank you."

Turning, Lucy went to the nearest "portal" and stepped inside, feeling a cold chill run up her body as she did so.

"Fifth floor."  She commanded.

As soon as she blinked, she was up on the fifth floor, high up on the building.

"Woah!"  She breathed, her eyes wide as she looked over her shoulder.  That was incredible...

Lifting the card to eye level, Lucy recited the words the librarian had gave her and suddenly felt a strange pull to the left wing of the fifth floor.  Walking to a bookshelf a few feet away, Lucy ran her fingers lightly across the spines of the hardbacks.  Scanning the titles with her eyes, Lucy was beginning to lose hope when she had gone through nearly all the left wing bookshelves.  However, the corner of the very last shelf was where her excitement was re-kindled.

She'd found it.

It was covered in dust; like no one bothered to dust this part of the shelves.  The front and back cover was a deep, dark green with black stitching.  Tale of the Great Caballeen Superiors was pressed onto the front, and Lucy ran her fingers over the embroidery lightly.  Openign it up with excitement, Lucy turned to the first page.

The Caballeen Superiors were a group of three individuals who existed in ancient millenia, who ruled the first kingdom in Fiore.  That kingdom was named Caballeen.  It consisted of powerful mages and extreme historical happenings, and they even faced a world-ending crisis known as The Time of Darkness; Darkonyt's destruction.

I found it!  Lucy thought, her anticipation rising.

Daronyt was pulled from the "opposite world", known mostly as Etoiles Noires; the dark stars.  The oppositeof Edolas and the Celestial Spirit World, nothing exists there but evil versions of other people or evil monsters.  This is where Daronyt was pulled from by a Dark Mage known as Ikinger, who used an incredible amount of stolen magic to do the sumoning.  Why would he do it?  There is a legend to Daronyt saying that being able to tame Daronyt's powers will give you the power to control every world in existence.

T-The world?!  Lucy thought with incredulity, her eyes wide as she clutched the book tightly.

But before the Ikinger could complete this task, a man from the unknown came to stop him.  All this man used was knowledge; A knowledge unlike anything anyone has ever seen before.

That's exaclty what Fuira told me...  Lucy thought, her eyes shaking.

It was a very special knowledge, given to Rater - the man - by a being no one knows the name or appearance of.  It was the complete opposite of Daronyt, like the opposite side of a coin.  But the knowledge Rater used was called Star Mist...

Lucy gasped, dropping the book onto her lap in shock.  Zeke...said I had Star Mist!  But..how in the world do I have it?!

Anxiety forcing her to move, Lucy picked up the book again with shaky hands.

...Star Mist is a dangerous priviledge.  Anyone that possesses that mythical knowledge is a danger to everyone.  Star Mist can be used to help the evil powers of Daronyt, while at the same time be the cause of the god-like being's demise.  A person must figure out how to unlock their Star Mist ability, because the "Holy Knowing"  doesn't just have the knowledge on Daronyt, but to see the memories of the man that origianlly possessed Star Mist; that was Rater.  Rater used the Star Mist regardless - since he had already opened it in his mind - and was able to cancel the summoning before significant damage was done, and put a stop to Ikinger's influence.  However, it was not without a price.  Many towns were devasted and many lives were lost.

Lucy closed the book, stunned.  So Rater used Star Mist in the way to stop Daronyt.  She scrunched her brow.  Many lives lost, huh?  That proves it; I made the right decision to leave and keep everyone safe.  Standing, Lucy checked out the book and left the library.

But how did Rater unlock the Star Mist within his mind?  Lucy wondered, looking down at the ground sadly.  I bet those pictures in my dream will help me...

She looked up abruptly, her face covered in raw determination.  It's decided, then.  I will head to that forest; the Caballeen Forest.
