POV: Lucy

"Natsu!" I yelled at him as I ran after him, trying not to trip over any rocks or tree roots. "Get back here!" But he didn't seem to hear me, and kept running after the wolves.

'Damn it Natsu!'

I yelled at him in my head. But then my foot caught a tree root, and I fell and rolled down the hill that I was running on top of. I then found out how steep it was as I rolled down until I reached the bottom. I laid still for a few moments as the dizziness was consuming my head. After a while I was able to push myself up to my hands and knees. Then all of a sudden I heard a snapping noise from the right of me. I looked and saw glowing green eyes staring at me, and then more eyes followed.

'Did they circle back around?'

I thought as I stood up and went to grab my keys, but they weren't in my hip. And I realized then, that I was screwed.

POV: Natsu

I ran into the woods and tried to keep up with the wolves, in order to get them as far away from the town as I could.

"Natsu!" Lucy yelled from behind me, her voice sounding distant. "Get back here!" But I didn't listen I kept running and chasing the wolves. After a little while longer, I lost them and finally stopped.

'That should be far enough for now.'

I thought as I turned around, and started heading back towards the town. Then I heard a loud and extremely painful scream from far in front of me. It sounded like Lucy.

"Lucy!" I yelled as I took off towards her scream. I ran and ran until I saw Erza and Gray running, with Happy flying, as fast as they could towards where the scream came from as well. Then I saw Lucy crawling up the edge of the hill, and I could see the look on her face was pure fear. She clawed at the earth to help her up the edge of the hill, and when she finally got up to try and run, there was blood covering her practically head to toe. So much that I wanted to gag from the smell. She tried to run but was to scared to watch where she was going and fell.

"Lucy!" We yelled at the same time. She looked to both of her sides at Gray, Erza, and Happy then to me. The next thing she looked at was the hill as the whole pack of wolves came flying over the edge of the hill and went running at Lucy.

"Lucy!" Happy yelled and went flying towards her at max speed, but wasn't fast enough. The brown wolf with the crow feathers rammed it's side into Happy and he went flying into a tree.

"Happy!" I yelled, but when I looked back at Lucy, the wolves jumped on her and my ears were flooded with the sound of her screams. "Lucy!" I yelled and ran forwards towards her as did Erza and Gray. Then when I was about to jump over the top of the wolves to try and grab her, I watched the largest wolf wrap his mouth around her neck. With her screaming in pain, the large wolf looked over at me and flung his head to the side and making Lucy's body be flung in the same direction. But she wasn't screaming anymore. Because she no longer had a throat.

'Luce?'

Her body hit the ground far from the wolves, like a pile of bricks. And blood was pouring out of where she used to have a throat. Even though there was no light shining in her eyes anymore, she still seemed to be staring at me, waiting for me to help her. But all I could do was stand there and stare at her.

"HOW DARE YOU?" I yell, finally out of my paralyzed position. My body then caught on fire, but also seemed to explode more then just simplely catch on fire. And do to my outrage, the grass and trees around me started buning as well. "Fire Dragon: Roar!" I yelled and the wolf that was on fire jumped in front of the others. But my flames were much stronger then before, and pushed the wolf back and into the others, knocking them down.

'They killed her!'

The wolves started to get up from their dog pile, most of them burned from my flames. They all stared at me as if they were wondering something. They then started backing up.

"Fire Dragon: Iron Fist!" I yelled as I jumped at the wolves. They were lucky to move over just in time that they didn't get hit, but the force from my fist hitting the ground made it shake like an earthquake, and the wolves were thrown away from me, as the force expanded outwards, and pushed them further.

'I will make them pay!'

I started running at the largest wolf, that still had blood running down the front of its face, Lucy's blood. I threw a fist at him, but he dodged again, making me punch the ground once more. Even though my fist was on fire, and I didn't use any magic, the ground still shook as my fist created a crater and made the wolf go flying to the side. It landed on its side and rolled to its feet, and just stared at me. It looked to all the other wolves and then started running with the other wolves right behind him. I went to start running, but was stopped.

"Natsu!" Erza yelled, and I whipped my head to behind me to stare at her.

"What?" I asked, but seemed to sound more like a demand.

"Don't try to avenge her by yourself." She said.

"Lets go get the Guild and hunt them down." Gray said.

"This is something all of us should do." Erza said.

"Lucy?" I heard someone say. And when I turned my head I saw Happy was awake and was standing a few feet away from her body. I walked over to the other side of Lucy's body and fell to my knees as I stared at Lucy's body.

'I will avenge you.'

I then started crying and I bent over so my head was touching the ground.

"Lucy, I'm so sorry!" I cried.

"Don't blame yourself, Natsu." Erza said as she and Gray sat on the other side of what was left of Lucy's body, next to Happy who was now crying in Erza's lap.

"You're not the only one to blame Natsu." Gray said.

"How is it not my fault?" I asked into the ground. "I ran into these damn woods, and she followed me. If I hadn't have run in here, she wouldn't be dead!"

"Natsu, you know that's not tr-." Gray started to say but was stopped.

"How is it not?" I yelled, interupting him. Gray went to say something, but stopped as he couldn't come up with an answer.

"How are we going to get her back to the Guild?" Erza asked.

"I guess were going to have to carry her." Gray said.

"Can we just sit here for a little longer?" Happy asked into Erza's leg.

"I suppose we can." She said patting his head. I then sat there staring at Lucy, as her eyes started to turn white. Erza then leaned over and closed her eyes as tears rolled down her face. Time passed and it felt like hours, when it had to have only been a few minutes.

"We should probably get going." Gray said and stood up, as did Erza as she held Happy in her arms. I then lifted Lucy into my arms and was about to stand up, when all of a sudden Lucy's body started gasping, and her eyes shot open. I dropped her and backed away from her body. I watched as her eyes turned from white to their original chocolate brown. And then she sat up, coughing. She then looked over at Gray, Erza, and Happy then to me.

"Lucy?" I asked. "Lucy!" I yelled, and tackled her into a giant bear hug and felt weight on top of me from Erza, Happy, and Gray jumping on me and Lucy.

"Lucy!" They yelled.

"Guys, I can't breathe." She whispered. We then got off of her.

"How are you okay?" Gray asked her.

"What do you mean?" She asked. She was then quiet as her eyes widden as everything seemed to come back to her. She touched her neck and when she pulled her hand away, she stared at the blood and looked horrified. "I . . . . I was attacked, by the wolves?" She asked.

"Yes." I said, and she moved her destroyed shirt up to look at her stomach, and there was a lot of blood, but no wound and no scars.

"How?" She asked.

"That's probably a question we should try and answer at the Guild." Erza said. Lucy nodded and we helped her stand up, she winced a little.

"Are you okay Lucy?" Happy asked, still in Erza's arms.

"Yeah, just sore." She said as she stretched a little.

"Umm, Lucy." Erza said.

"Hmm?" Lucy hummed as she looked at her, with her arms still above her head.

"You might want to be careful with how you move." Erza said as she pointed at Lucy's shirt. So much of it was torn that as she stretched her shirt was revealing most of her breasts.

"Oh!" Lucy said as she crossed her arms over her chest and pink decorated her cheeks.

"Here." I said as I undid the belt around my hips and took my jacket off. "It might not be a good idea if people saw you completely covered in blood." I offered my one sleeved jacket to her, and Lucy slipped her arm through the sleeve and then through the other. Because I was bigger then her, the right sleeve went almost to her finger tips, and she had to cross the front of it over each other, so that she could do the belt.

"Thanks." She said. And then looked behind me. "What happened?" We all followed her gaze and saw that the woods seemed to be burning down. Gray, Erza, and Happy then looked over at me and I scratched the back of my head.

"Yeah, my bad." I said. "I thought they killed you, and I guess I just lost my temper." Lucy then blushed and looked away.

"We should probably get back." Gray said as he looked up at the sky, and the sun was nearing the horizon. We then walked out of the woods and into the town, as people were being rushed to the hospital.

"There you all are!" Jim Fury yelled as he ran up to us. "Are you all okay?" He asked as he eyed Lucy, I looked to see that she had blood on her chin.

"Oh yeah, that's just the wolf's blood." I said. And then Gray and Erza saw the blood as well.

"Yes, we're alright." Erza said a bit hesatent.

"Did you get rid of them?" Jim asked,

"But we weren't able to kill the wolf pack like you wanted." Gray said.

"Oh, I see." Jim said, as he lowered his head a little.

"But don't worry Mr. Fury." Lucy said. "Something tells me that they won't be coming back anytime soon." Jim looked up at Lucy, and smiled.

"I hope they don't." He said, and then walked away to go help people to the hospital.

"Come on, we need to get home." I said and we walked to the train station. When we got there, Gray and Erza went to go get our tickets and I sat down with Lucy on a bench.

"Hey Luce?" I asked.

"Yeah?" She answered as she petted Happy, who was passed out on her lap.

"Why do you think the wolves won't be back?" I asked her.

"I don't know." She said and then turned her head so that she was looking at me. "But I think my attack is going to be more troublesome then we think."
