"You're disgusting" a familiar voice she knew too well spat on her hung body against the wall, back facing him "Celestial Wizards shouldn't be around anymore! I don't understand why I have a daughter with such a terrible power!" He picked up a whip and smacked his 10 year old daughter's bare back. She bit her lips, refusing to give in, refusing to beg for mercy, refusing to cry, and she refuses to break

"Your mother hid that she was a celestial wizard from me before she died, and now she gave you her keys!" He whipped her again. She didn't make a sound, holding in her screams "you're the world's last Celestial Wizard!" He started laughing, hitting her like it was a game "but you can't use your spirits  because of the magic seal I placed around your ankle. You can't make your spirits hurt me! You can't use them!" She clenched her jaw

"My spirits are not tools..." her mother was a gentle soul. She taught Lucy the love and care she should give to her partners. It was true there were others with the same magic, they weren't like the rest...

Her father scowled and whipped her in a pound. Her eyes widened

"You won't talk back to me! Who said you have a right! You wizards lost all your rights after what you did!" She shut her eyes in the agony of pain, keeping her tears from showing themselves, but they came out on their own

"Cry! Brat! Beg for mercy!" He laughed. The whipping never stopped. It was too much for her too bare. She was too close to braking

"You are no daughter of mine! Not anymore! You're nothing!" In the matter of seconds, she gave in and screamed from the top of her lungs. The pain was too great, too much for her small body to handle.

She continued to scream until her body collapsed, hanging from her chains locked around her tiny wrists. He snorted "I knew you'll break" she stared at the wall, out of breath "I'll see if I feel like feeding you tonight" he shuts the iron door. Her body started vibrating.

Why..? It wasn't till a few days ago that her and both her parents were happy and holding hands outside together. When her mother started growing weak during the walk, that's when he found out her secret... When she dropped her keys. The love in her father's eyes were gone, not just for his wife, but his daughter as well... All because of stereotypes

Tears couldn't stop falling from her eyes... So much was going on behind her... The heat was unbearable, and whatever felt like water ran down her spine. Trying to be as strong as she could for such a little girl, she couldn't... She was officially broken

~ 8 years later~

Team Natsu; Natsu, Erza, Gray, and Happy, got off the train to do a special mission they decided to do together for the wealthiest man in Fiore. Natsu recovered from his motion sickness after finally stepping onto the Heartfilia Konzern

"I'm all fired up!" Natsu cheered with Happy

"We're not even there yet, dumbass!" Gray snarled, shirtless

"Put on a shirt! Ice queen!" Natsu scowled

"Make me! Flame head!" Gray yelled back

"Enough!" Erza demanded, making them separate. The two wrapped their arms around each other's shoulders like unlikely friends, so she wouldn't hurt them for irrigating her "we have a job to do! I don't need you causing trouble to the richest man in Fiore!"

"Aye sir!" The boys saluted nervously. Erza sighed and walked forward. She's so scary...

"We're almost there, stay cool until we leave the mansion" they obeyed, seeing a gigantic mansion about a black away. Natsu started at it, thinking really hard on why it looked familiar, until a certain smell caught his attention. He made a disgusted face

"What's wrong, Natsu?" Happy asked

"I smell..." He sniffled again "blood" his friends looked at him

"Blood?" Gray asked

"It must have something to do with the job we're taking... It must be a monster or something killing people on the land near by" Erza thought "just a hunch" Natsu continued sniffling, feeling uneasy

"But it's so strong..." The group made it to the mansion. A few guards walked them to Mr.Heartfilia's large office. Natsu couldn't stop smelling that disgusting smell filling up the mansion

"I'll get right to the point, then..." Mr.Heartfilia said, staring at the Fairy Tail members sitting right in front of him. His eyes noticed Natsu most "there had been some rumors from my men that the forest in front of my mansion is haunted" Natsu and Happy flinched

"Haunted? You mean... Ghost?" Erza asked. Mr.Heartfilia nodded without the hint of emotion in his eyes

"Yes, and I don't like the idea of having a ghost living on my land, that will make me look bad"

"I don't see how" Gray comment. Erza punched the back of his head to shut him up

"So you want us to get rid of a ghost?" Erza asked, like what she just did never happened

"Yes, I figured the greatest guild in the land can deal with something like this, can you do it?" The group looked at each other, unsure "other lower ranked guilds couldn't do it, so I'm counting on you" Erza stood up

"We'll give it our best" the boys stood after her. Mr.Heartfilia stood and faced the window behind him

"Very good... If you succeed, you'll be rewarded your 10 million jewels" the group looked at each other with determination and walked out the mansion

"Wow... 10 million jewels" Happy said "I would have 10 million fish!"

"Or 10 million cakes" Erza's eyes sparkled. The boys sweatdropped at her obsession with cake. Narsu frowned, looking down

"What's with you?" Gray asked

"Smelling all this blood makes me feel weird..."

"I'm sure it had something to do with-"

"No!" Natsu snapped at her "that smell was all over that house!" Erza and Gray looked each other surprised

"Are you sure?" Gray asked. Natsu nodded slowly

"We'll check the place out after our mission" Erza said. They nodded and walked towards the forest. Natus flinched, feeling like he's being watched. He looked around until his eyes landed on a dark window high on the side of the mansion with a silhouette staring at him before it left. His body was sweating more than he realized

"Natsu?" Happy frowned. Natsu shook it off and followed his group to the forest. Everyone had been searching for hours and it was getting dark quick

"When is this ghost gonna come out?" Natsu whined

"Ghost usually come out at night Natsu, this is the best time for it to show up" Erza said, leading

"Have we thought of a plan to catch something that's not even alive?" Gray asked

"Of course I have" she said, stopping. The boys looked at each other confused, then back at her grinning like she had a good idea

"How?" Happy asked. She took out a silver cross, a wooden stake, a hammer, and a torch out of nowhere

"We're not hunting a vampire, Erza" Gray sweat dropped. Natsu flared his fist

"Who cares!? I'm ready for some action!" Happy gasped with his eyes wide open "huh? What's wrong, Happy?" Happy shakily pointed up ahead. Everyone looked up and widened their eyes when they saw a white figure standing a few feet from them

"T-the ghost..." Erza gasped. The ghost figure stood still with light hair in a high bun and bangs, wearing a long dress with her hands together. Natsu snorted

"So you're the ghost that has been haunting these woods, huh?" He smirked, running towards her

"Natsu!" Erza gasped. Natsu looked at the ghost's face and saw tears falling under her hair covering her eyes. He immediately stopped and stared at her confused

"You're... Crying..?" She took a step back slowly "why? Why are you even out here..?" She looked up slightly and handed him her closed hand. He opened his hand to her curiously so she could drop something cold on his warm skin. She removed her hand to let him see a Pink Key with a heart as the bow

"Please..." She spoke, sobbing "please help her..." She reached for his cheek, but disappeared into the night. He frowned and stared at the key. His friends ran up to him

"Are you alright, Natsu?" Erza asked. He stared at the spot the woman was standing. Her dress... And the style of her hair. Something about her... What did she want from him?

"Yeah..." Erza looked at his hand

"A Celestial Gate key?" He looked at her confused

"A what?"

"They are keys that open the gate to the celestial world" Gray said "they were used by the magic of celestial wizards"

"They were said to be very dangerous... Those wizards use the power of the celestial spirits to do their crimes and cause millions of deaths" Natsu and Happy's eyes widened

"And I'm holding one of their keys?!"

"That ghost must've been a celestial wizard that had been killed to decrease their population" Erza said

"But... She didn't look like she would hurt anyone..." Natsu said to himself, staring at the key and its unique neck of gold stained vines

"Come on, it looks like the celestial wizard has rested in peace... Let's report to Mr.Heartfilia" they nodded and went back to the mansion, where the blood smell grows again...

"You finished your job already?" Mr.Heartfilia asked, Surprised

"Yes, we believe it was the spirit that belonged to a female celestial wizard and left this behind" Erza showed him the key. He stayed silent "she left without a problem, sir" he looked out the window

"That woman was my wife..." Everyone's eyes widened "I didn't know she was a celestial wizard before she died" he sighed "oh well" he looked at everyone, stopping at Natsu looking around uncomfortably, sniffling the place

"As promised" Mr.Heartfilia took out a brief case and opened it in front of them, showing them their 10 million jewels

"Whoa!" Gray gasped "so that's what it really looks like!" Mr.Heartfilia closed the case and handed it to Erza

"I hope this wasn't a problem for you" he said

"It really wasn't..." Natsu frowned. Erza glanced at him before giving Mr.Heartfilia the key. He just stared at it

"Keep it, I have no need for it" Erza stared at him before giving the key back to Natsu. It was given to him after all. He took it and starred at it, remembering that woman, when she was about to reach for his cheek...

"We will take our leave" Erza bowed and turned around. Natsu was going to say something about touring the mansion to find the source of the bloody smell, but Mr.Heartfilia beat him to to

"There's another reward" everyone looked at him

"Another?" Gray asked

"Yes, it comes with the jewels"

"If you insist" Erza said

"But I must tell you... Only one can have it. Who will take it?" His eyes were mostly on Natsu. Everyone looked at each other

"What is it?" Erza asked

"You'll find out soon enough to, who will take it" she sighed

"Since Natsu was the one who did all the work, basically, I think he should be the one to take it" Happy said

"Huh?" Natsu sweat dropped

"Good point" Erza said

"So, you'll take the other one, then?" Mr.Heartfilia asked. Natsu rubbed the back of his neck

"Is it good?"

"That's all decided on how you look at it"

"Alright then" the large emotionless man nodded

"It shall be delivered to you outside. If you would wait, it should be out for you shortly" so much for the tour...

"Okay" the group went outside to wait for this extra reward

"What do you think it is?" Gray asked

"It better not be a trick" Erza said, gripping on the suit case of money

"Why would it be a trick?" Happy asked "you saw the money, didn't you?"

"Yeah, but-" she looked at Natsu's eyes widening "Natsu? What's wrong?"

"The smell... It's coming closer..." The mansion door opened. Natsu smelled the bloody air from every direction, forcing himself to cover his nose disgusted. A group of soldiers walked out, facing Natsu

"Are you the one that took the reward?" One man asked

"Yeah?" He asked, sounding odd from pinching his nose. The men looked at each other and nodded before moving apart and throw something in front of him and his friends like it was a sack

Natsu removed his hand and smelled the uneasy smell. It was coming from this... Erza looked over that the cloak covering something and saw bruised, red, deep wounded feet... With a bright blue anklet with writing on it. It was a body...

"What's the meaning of this?!" Erza took out a sword and pointed it at the expressionless guards. Happy nervously walked up to the body and saw fingers sticking out from the edges of the cloak

"Is this person alive..?" He cried

"It's fine, if it can take a few beatings, it should continue to live" one guard spat. Natsu flared his body angrily

"You're calling a person like they're a object!? You toss this person like a sack of potatoes! How dare you!?" One guard lifted his torch and paralyzed him before he could come closer to attack. His body was frozen, along with his friends "I can't move... You bastard!"

"I can't either!" Gray shouted

"What are you- whoa!" Erza fell on her knees with the boys

"We put a forbidden spell on you all, to keep you from coming back after you leave" the first guard said

"This thing is now in your hands, do what you want with it. The master wants nothing to do with it anymore" the second guard said before going back to the mansion with everyone else "good bye Mr.Dragneel" Natsu flinched

"Stop!" Erza ran after them but go electrocuted by invisible walls by doing it

"Erza!" Gray caught her. She glared and looked at the covered body

"What's the person's status?" Natsu walked up to the body curiously and lifted the large good to see a full head of blonde hair

"A girl?" His eyes widened. Erza rushed to her to remove the cloak off her body, seeing it covered in only two pieces of rags deep in red. The body was dark on blood and bruised, and the cuts were just terrifying

"How could someone do this this a girl this small..?" She frowned and looked at the odd looking anklet "a magic seal?"

"Magic seal?" Gray asked

"It's a magic item that prevents the ones wearing it to use magic, mainly used on prisoners"

"I-is she alive..?" Happy asked, staring at the terrifying wounds

"Yeah..." Natsu said "I can hear her heart beat" Happy shyly walked over to her to move her hair to see her face but jumped when she slowly and dramatically shivered to sit up. Erza's eyes widened when she saw a key ring filled with gold and silver celestial gate keys. She took out her sword as soon as her bloody hand reached for them

"She's a celestial wizard!" Erza glared. The girl froze, shadowing her eyes so she can't be seen "move away from the keys!" The girl shakily moved her hand away from her keys and struggled to lift her bloody arms to cover her head

"Erza! Knock it off!" Natsu glared

"Natsu..."

"You said she has a magic seal! So she can't use her keys!" She put her sword away

"Right..." He sat down in front of the girl and tried looking at her face. She flinched and looked away

"I won't hurt you" he picked up her keys and handed it to her. She slowly looked up "I'm Natsu!" He grinned his signature smile "here's your keys" Erza watched carefully at her shaking bloody hands reaching for the keys. Erza's grip on her sword tightened. Gray held her hand, making her look at him surprised. He nodded. She relaxed and looked at the girl shakily taking her keys back, making them jingle dramatically and hugged them under her cloak, the cloak Happy fixed so her body can be covered

Natsu smiled and looked at Erza staring at the girl "we have to take her to a hospital" the girl flinched and quickly shook her head, no matter how much pain

"Nn..." She moved her legs away from everyone "n-nn!" She tried to run, but ended up crawling and fall. Natsu and Gray hurried to help her. Contact with her arms made them feel how bad she was shaking. She pulled her arms away and covered her head with her hood, curling in a ball, silently crying. The group frowned at the scene

"What are we going to do..?" Gray frowned

"We can't just leave her here... She might be beaten by that man..." Happy cried. The girl looked up slightly at him. Natsu stared at her and stood

"Since she doesn't want to go to a hospital, we have to take her to Wendy"

"Are you crazy, Natsu!? She's a celestial wizard! They use their spirits for evil and kill people!" Erza glared

"Does she look like she would kill someone!" He snapped, shocking his friends "doesn't she deserve a second chance!? Jellal got one! More than one! Why can't she!?" She was taken back a little before straightening herself

"Fine, do what you want to do" she dug through her luggage and threw him a first aid kit "she's your property" he glared and looked at the girl looking down, refusing to be seen. He squat down and picked up bridal style, making her go through a panic

"Hey, hey, it's okay" he cooed, making her relax a little "let's find a river"

"I saw one while we were searching for the ghost!" Gray said. They nodded and walked to the river. Erza was not too far from them. Happy flew and stared at the girl's tense body. Her head was looking over Natsu's shoulder. Happy looked up and saw Mr.Heartfilia staring at them through his window before walking away. How can a man be so cruel..?

Well that turned into a sad beginning. I know what you're thinking. Was I really thinking about this during class? Well I'm a little dramatic and I think I was reading a drama before writing this, so it leaked. Lol! Wait on for the next chapter. It might be 2 or 3 chapters in total!
