✿❱ Thanksgiving Special ღ
Hey there howdy doodle do! (Sorry that was trash)
Yo Yo Homie Joe! (If you get that reference I'll love you forever and ever lolol)
Anyways, since it was Thanksgiving recently in America, I decided to write a chapter for it since I have't done one yet! OH my gosh I haven't done a Halloween chapter either. . . O.O
I know that a lot of you guys are from other countries and don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I hope that you are still able to enjoy the chapter! (I'm so sorry I'm not being very culture-sensitive right now T-T)
Before I start the chapter, I want each of you to comment on this line what you're thankful for. Even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, it's important to show gratitude towards what you love.
I'll start by saying that I'm thankful for my friends, (most of) my family, how fortunate I am to have a home and food (and a puppy), my beautiful hamster, Anime (duh), BTS (of course), Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, BTS performing at the AMAs, (sorry I'm just getting ridiculous now), my puppy (once again) and all of you guys taking time out of your days to read my books and support my work. ^.^
Alright, on with the entertainment you're here for!
(Please let me know of any spelling mistakes, it's hard to spell-check long chapters)
~
Sky: Hey people, Happy Thanksgiving!
(Sorry I didn't mention that I'd be in this chapter too lol)
Natsu: Happy what?
Sky: T h a n k s g i v i n g
Natsu: I still have no clue what that is.
Erza: Yeah, what is that? Where you give thanks for people giving you stuff on Christmas?
Sky: How does nobody know what Thanksgiving is?!
Lucy: We don;t speak your language, I guess.
Sky: it's not some secret language, it's a holiday!
Erza: How come we've never heard of it, then?
Sky: I don't know! You tell me!
Happy: I think that the name is too long. I want to rename it.
Sky: you don't even know what it is!
Natsu: I agree with the blue guy.
Happy: Aye!
Wendy:I think I know what it is. . . sorry for interrupting.
Sky: That's okay!
Wendy: Okay! ^.^
Sky: Oml you're so cute~
Erza: I know, right?
Wendy: Huh?
Erza: Oh, nothing, nothing.
Wendy: Well, I think that 'Thankgiving' is just a holiday for giving thanks, because of the name.
Sky: That's right~!
Wendy: Really? *-*
Natsu: Really?! That's it?
Sky: Well, yeah. . . but there's more to the story.
--------User Mira is online-------
Mira: Did someone say story time?! I'm ready!
Sky: Oh, hey Mira!
Happy: Story! Story!
Natsu: STORY TIME!!
Sky: Anyone else want to hear a story? IF YOU SEE THIS AS A NOTIFICATION, CLICK IT
-------Users Sting, Rogue and Gray are online--------
Rogue: I like stories~! Is it interesting?
Sting: I'll only stay if it's a good story.
Gray: I'm only here because I feel like it's my duty as a main protagonist.
Sky: Woah, I thought I was the only one who could do fourth-wall stuff!
Gray: What's a fourth-wall?
Sky: Never mind.
Natsu: STORYYYYY
Happy: S T O R Y
Erza: She's getting to it, calm down!
Lucy: . . .
Erza: is it story time yet?
Rogue: I s i t i n t e r e s t i n g
Sky: If you like stories about Pilgrims and Native Americans, then yes.
Natsu: YAY!
Wendy: Was that a spoiler? I don't really like those.
Sky: So cute *^*
Erza: *^*
Wendy: I don't get it.
Sky: Let's get on with the story.
Natsu: STORY TIME!!!
Happy: YAYYYY
Sky: Did Sting and Rogue leave?
Sting: Nope.
Rogue: We're hooked.
Sky: Alright!
Lucy: I don't really like historical stories, but whatever.
Sky: Too bad, that's what Thanksgiving's all about, history!
Gray: Yay...
Natsu: S T O R YYYY
(Short break from writing right here to give my puppy a treat lol)
Sky: Alright. So, a long time ago, back in the early 1600's, the Pilgrims sailed to America from Britain, in a failed search for India, and claimed the land as their own.
Sky: Comments?
Natsu: Ooh! Is there going to be fights?!
Happy: Are they going to meet a bear, or a vicious squirrel?!
Sky: Yes; and. . . probably not...?
Natsu: War!!!
Lucy: Happy, you're stupid.
Sky: The Pilgrims first landed close to the shores of Cape Cod, which is present day Massachusetts, on the Mayflower, and met up with some unexpected natives, that they called Indians, since they thought they landed in India.
Sky: Comments before I continue?
Mira: What's a 'masachusets?'
Sky: Massachusetts is a place in America, it's a modern day state.
Mira: Ohhh okay.
Natsu: What's a state?
Sky: Just shut up and listen.
Natsu: Mean.
Sky: I'm sorry, I love you T^T
Mira: <3
Sky: Shut up.
Sky: Anyways, the Indians were really mad that the Pilgrims for taking their land and trying to colonize it, so they did their best protecting it with the un-advanced weapons that they had at their camps. They had bows and arrows, traps and some spears. Not much to defend against men with guns and knives.
Sky: Comments? Questions?
Wendy: Colonize?
Sky: Build homes and farms on the land.
Wendy: Oh, okay. ^^
Erza: ^.^
Sky: May I move on?
Natsu: WAIT
Sky: Yeah?
Natsu: What's a Pilgrim?
Gray: She's said that word at least twice in every paragraph!
Natsu: Oh. . . well I didn't know what it was back then either.
Sky: A Pilgrim is a person who sailed from Britain to America.
Natsu: Ohhhhh that makes more sense.
Rogue: What did you think it was?
Natsu: Nothing...
Sting: Seriously, could it be that bad?
Natsu: I thought it was some sort of disease. . .
Mira: Pretty smart for a dumb guy.
Natsu: Hey!
Gray: It was a compliment, dummy.
Sky: Ahem, so the Native Americans, or the Indians, fought in a war against the Pilgrims in order to keep their land and their primitive ways of life. Of course, the Pilgrims would have won no problem, but instead, a year later, the Pilgrims and Native Americans made a peace treaty to live in harmony.
Lucy: That's so sweet.
Gray: Wow. Sappy...
Rogue: Peace is a beautiful thing. :,)
MIra: I won't deny that.
Sky: But it gets better. . . this is when Thanksgiving comes in.
Natsu: Yay!
Sky: The Natives and Pilgrims shared each others' strategies for farming, capturing and harvesting food and making clothing and weapons, so both groups lived better lives.
Sky: Comments. . .
Erza: That is the cutest thing ever. <3 (,:
Happy: Aww~
Sting: That's amazing. I wish we could all settle arguments that way.
Mira: True.
Sky: Move on?
Wendy: Please ^^
Sky: On the third Thursday of November, when Thanksgiving today takes place annually, the Pilgrims and the Native Americans shared a feast together in honor of their new alliance, and celebrated their gratitude and gave thanks for everything they had. The end.
Wendy: That was beautiful.
Natsu: Thanksgiving sounds like there would be a lot of food.
Sky: And that's one of the things we do every year, eat lots of food! I go see my family in New Jersey every year and eat with my aunts and uncles and play with all my little cousins!
Mira: That sounds like so much fun!
Sky: It is!
Happy: Is there more to the story?
Sky: It's not very enjoyable. ..
Natsu: I want to hear it!
Gray: I'm interested.
Wendy: I don't want anything bad to happen to the Native Americans or the Pilgrims T-T
Sky: Maybe I shouldn't tell it. . . T^T
Sting: Tell it! We want to know now!
Rogue: I'm here for a complete story and I want it now!
Lucy: I don't want to hear any sad stories :,(
Erza: I don't either. . . but I'm kinda intrigued.
Sky: Well. . . who wants to hear it?
Natsu: Me!
Mira: Me!!
Happy: Aye!
Lucy: No T-T
Erza: I do, I guess. . .
Rogue: Full story!
Sting: I'm with him!
Gray: Meh.
Sky: What about you, Wendy?
Wendy: Um. . . sure, if everyone else wants it. . .
Sky: Are you sure? I mean, you're outnumbered, but you can still have an opinion.
Wendy: I'm sure.
Sky: Okay, so after the feast of Thanksgiving, a little while after, things go from neutral to tension-stricken when the Pilgrims invite more people and family members from Britain to live in America with them, and the Native Americans don't appreciate the Pilgrims taking over the land, and another war starts.
Sky: I know, it's depressing. ;-;
Natsu: Yay!
Erza: Natsu, that's a bad thing.
Natsu: Oh. Boo...
Happy: I think I'm going to change my name to sad now. . . how could the Pilgrims betray their friends like that?!
Wendy: I know, that's cruel. T--T
Rogue: Is there more?
Mira: PLEASE NO MORE
Lucy: NO MORE
Sky: Alright. . .
Gray: I vote more.
Rogue: I vote more.
Sting: We want the real ending.
Sky: Well, there really is no ending. . . history goes on until present day. I guess the ending, for now, is us sitting here texting and having the freedoms we have today, such as he Freedom of Speech.
Wendy: That was beautiful, Skya.
Sky: Thanks. ^.^
Erza: Did you tell that story all on your own, without Wikipedia?
Sky: Um, yeah...
Mira: Woah!
Natsu: So, what's next about Thanksgiving?
Happy: Yeah! What do you do on that holiday?
Sky: That's an easy one! Every year, my family and I travel up to New Jersey and meet at my Aunt's house where a bunch of my other family on my dad's side go as well, and we eat a huge dinner, watch the Thanksgiving parade on TV and my favorite thing to do is help cook the dinner.
Natsu: You can cook!? *o*
Sky: Well, yeah. . .
Wendy: And you mentioned something about little cousins earlier? ^^
Sky: Yep, I've got six little cousins, all under the age of eight, who are all over me, and I never get a dull moment away from them. Surprisingly, I'm a child magnet.
Erza: I expected you to have a thing with kids. You're very creative, calm and responsible.
Sky: Thanks, Erza.
Rogue: I want to celebrate Thanksgiving. ;-;
Sting: Me too!
Happy: Me three!
Lucy: I'm in.
Natsu: I'm in it for the food!
Gray: I just want to help cook.
Mira: Yay, cooking!
Sky: You guys want to know the first step to celebrating Thanksgiving?
Natsu: Yeah!!
Sky: The first step to celebrating Thanksgiving is recognizing what you're most thankful for.
Lucy: What are you thankful for?
(Writing break to comfort my hiccup-y puppy. . .)
Sky: Well, lots of things, but mainly my friends and the people that support me most.
Mira: That's so sweet.
Wendy: When I grow up, I want to be poetical like Sky~San.
Sky: ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
Sky: I love this child so much~
Erza: Me too, Oh My Mavis~
Happy: Let's all go around and say what we're all thankful for!
Sting: Friends, mostly Rogue.
Rogue: Mostly Sting, but friends.
Erza: Friends as well. And cake. Only strawberry, though. No cream cheese icing. Oh, and I like strawberry garnish too.
Sky: I relate 100%.
Wendy: I'm thankful for the amount of peace and good people in our world. ^.^
Sky: Me too, Wendy, me too. ^^
Mira: Shipping.
Happy: Fish!
Natsu: FOOD! And boobs.
Sky: Natsu! o//^//o
Natsu: Just kidding~ I like butts too. . .
Sky: NATSU THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY BOOK AND VTJSCKVIKCLSVnferlkgcjgyhx
Happy: Happy Thanksgiving~!
~
Well, that's all I have for today! And that's a lot for one day! My hands are cramping up from typing so much. . .
Anyways, congrats on getting through the most educational chapter in Fairy Tail Texts history! You should feel a lot smarter now, and if you don't. . . still be proud of yourself.
Sorry for the long note at the top, by the way. . .
I'm gonna keep this footnote short to make up for the heading note...
(I'm sitting like L so my puppers won't eat my fuzzy pajama pants. . .)
Oh! Check out the most recent chapter of My Life to read about some interesting stories that occurred in the last two days! They're seriously interesting, and I couldn't fit them into the footnote. . .
That's all I've got, have a safe day/night, and Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
