Hello beautiful peoples! Or handsome! And welcome to a very interesting chapter! I know I said before that it'll get interesting but that was then. Now I'm serious this time. It had been a couple of hours since they left the mainland, and the sun was starting to rise up above the water line. Then all of a sudden the Hippocampuses started acting strange and started looking around them.

“What’s with them?” Laxus asked.

“I-I don’t know.” Gajeel said as his Hippocampus started jerking side to side. The boys decided to look around but they couldn’t see anything. But that didn’t mean that there wasn’t anything below them.

“What the hell are they freaking out about?” Gray asked more to himself.

“I don’t know, but I’ve got a bad feeling.” Natsu said.

“Then let’s hurry and get the hell out of here.” Jellal said, slightly kicking the sides of his Hippocampus to make it go faster and they rest of the boys did the same. And the Hippocampuses happily complied, for a reason the boys did not understand.

After a while the Hippocampuses calmed down a bit, but still seemed to be on edge. But luckily for them they arrived to the island not long after that.

“Come on guys.” Natsu said excitedly, as he started running towards the bottom of the volcano, that the cave would be hiding.

“Calm down Natsu, it’s not like the city is going anywhere.” Gray told him.

“I know, I’m just excited.” He said honestly as he started feeling around on the volcano looking for the cave, and when he found it he put too much pressure on his hands and ended up falling through the invisibility cloak. “Found it!”

“Idiot.” Gajeel said as they walked through the spell where Natsu did, but he hadn’t gotten up yet, so the boys walked over the top of him like it was normal.

“Come on Natsu, I thought you wanted to see Lucy.” Jellal said teasingly.

“I do, but I think I need a minute first.” Natsu said into the ground. The boys ignored him and continued walking all the way down to the mouth of the cave that opened up to the city.

“Well we’re here.” Laxus said.

“Yep, now let’s go.” Gray said putting the mask back over his mouth, and they all did the same. Except Natsu, he was still on the ground whining like a baby.

“Come on.” Gajeel sighed as he dragged Natsu to his feet.

“You guys are assholes.” Natsu said as he put his mask over the bottom half of his face and leaped up into a tree and then onto a roof building. And the boys followed. Hopping roof to roof, until they went to jump onto a building and they were all dragged down off the roof to the ground. And when they turned around, there stood a very mad and upset Cana.

“Hi.” They boys said except Laxus who didn’t know what to do.

“What the fuck do you dipshits think you’re doing here!” Cana yelled at the top of her lungs. “You guys weren’t supposed to come back here! And yet here you are, why? You were supposed to stay there, you know what could happen!”

“Yeah, yeah, but we have an explanation!” Natsu said waving his hands in front of his face trying to think of something.

“And what would that be?” Cana said putting her hands on her hips, while staring at them intensely.

“Umm, we missed you.” Natsu said, which was the first thing that he could think of, and the other boys face palmed.

“I’m going to kill all five of you!” Cana said getting really pissed off, but then stopped. “Wait, five?” She said and looked over at Laxus. “Laxus?”

“Hey Cana.” Laxus said waving at her. The boys jaws dropped to the ground, as they looked back and forth at them.

“How the hell do you to know each other.” Jellal asked after he recovered from the shock that they knew each other, and the rest of the boys weren’t far behind.

“Should I or should you?” Cana asked.

“I guess I probably should.” Laxus said as he took a deep breath. “I am a merman.” Laxus told them. Their jaws dropped again and this time they just stared at Laxus.

“W-what?” Natsu asked.

“You’re a. . . . .” Gray started to say but stopped from pure shock at what was happening.

“Merman?” Gajeel finished.

“Yeah.” Laxus said looking away. “What about it?”

“And you two know each other?” Natsu asked.

“Yeah.” Cana said glaring at Laxus. “He left us almost ten thousand years ago.”

“What you mean he left?” Jellal asked.

“One day he woke up and just up and left us, not long after we had moved in here.” Cana said. “Why did you leave?”

“I left because I didn’t want the royalty.” Laxus said straight up to Cana.

“Royalty?” Gray asked.

“Yeah, my grandfather is the king.” Laxus said.

“Your grandfather is the king?” Natsu asked, and Laxus nodded a little annoyed.

“What about your dad? Wouldn’t he have gotten the crown first?” Gajeel asked.

“He did have the crown.” Laxus said looking at the ground.

“I’m going to guess that the girls told you what happened when we were moving in here.” Cana said.

“Yeah.” Jellal said.

“Well when we our big battle and we lost a lot of lives, his father being one of them, and at the time he was the king, and when Laxus left us there was no one to take the crown.” Cana said. “We’re lucky you grandfather agreed to come out of retirement, to lead the city like you were supposed to do.”

“Well I didn’t want that.” Laxus said looking at Cana. “I still don’t.”

“Then why are you here?” Cana asked.

“Because of-.” Laxus started to say, but stopped before he said anything else.

“Because of what?” Cana asked getting really close to Laxus’s face as her anger towards him kept growing.

“Because of. . . . . . . .” Laxus said but stopped to take a deep breath. “Because of Mira.”

“Mira?” Cana whispered, quite shocked at his reason. “After all these years, you still love her.” Cana said, more as a statement then a question.

“Yeah.” Laxus said, and instead of continuing to get mad at Laxus, Cana calmed down realizing why Laxus came back.

“Well then, getting back on track.” Cana said turning slowly to Natsu, Gray, Jellal, and Gajeel with a calm expression on her face which scared the boys. “What the fuck are you guys doing here?”

“We, we just wanted to see the girls one more time.” Gray said as all the boys cowered near the wall.

“You idiots!” Cana yelled. “You know what could happen! Yet you still came back!”

“What could happen?” Laxus said.

“I drew Tarot cards and their future said that they would bring mass destruction to the girls.” Cana said.

“You idiots! Why didn’t you say something? I would have kept you from coming!” Laxus yelled at the boys.

“None of your business?” Natsu said not knowing how else to answer the question.

“I’m so going to kick all your asses.” Laxus said. “How could you put my people in danger like this?”

“You mean the people you left behind.” Gray said, putting Laxus in a corner.

“You’re in the mood to be a dick aren’t you?” Jellal asked.

“I may have left them, but they are still my family.” Laxus said.

“Yes and now we have to get you all out of here without the girls knowing.” Cana said dragging the boys by the back of the neck towards the end of the alley way.

“Can we at least see the girls first?” Gajeel asked.

“They don’t have to see us.” Natsu said.

“No, you guys have to get out of here now!” Cana said turning the corner only to run into Lucy, Juvia, Levy, Erza, and Mira and they all stared at the boys.

“Hi.” All the boys said at once.

“What are you guys doing here?” Erza asked.

“We wanted to see you guys one more time.” Jellal answered her, and all the girls blushed a little.

“And there you saw them, so let’s go.” Cana said trying to drag them to the main gate from where they came.

“Wait, why are you trying to make them leave?” Lucy asked stopping Cana.

“Because they were never to return here, you know that.” Cana told her.

“But can we at least have a minute?” Levy asked.

“No, these five have to leave right now.” Cana said trying to drag them again.

“Five?” Mira asked, and Cana turned to her realizing what she had just said was a bad idea. Laxus then got up off the ground from being dragged by Cana and looked at Mira with her eyes wide as she looked at the familiar young man that she would never forget. “Laxus?”

“Hey Mira.” Laxus said, and Mira launched at him tackling him to the ground in a huge bear hug.

“Where the hell have you been?” Mira screamed at him.

“What?” Laxus asked, surprised that she remembered him and was worried about him.

“Where the hell have you been all this time?” Mira asked sitting up.

“I’ve been on the mainland this whole time.” Laxus told her.

“You’re still alive, how have you gone this long without turning back and suffocating?” Mira asked as tears rolled down her cheeks.

“I’ve been careful.” Laxus said wiping away Mira’s tears.

“You always were.” Mira whispered to him and gave him a sweet smile.

“Okay love birds we need to get these boys out of here, now.” Cana said grabbing Laxus and dragging him and the other boys towards the main entrance of the city.

“But why?” Juvia asked, as they were a couple of feet away from the cave. “What harm will come to them staying five minutes?” Then Cana turned to the girls.

“I don’t know.” Cana said completely serious which scared the girls a little. Cana turned back to the mouth of the cave but before she started walking again, she looked down the cave and saw multiple red eyes staring at them.

“Hello ladies.” Said a harsh male’s voice, “Remember me?” He said as he walked out from the darkness. And there stood a very tall man who easy stood over Gajeel and Laxus combined easily, his back and legs were dark gray, while his chest and lower face were white.

“Meg.” Lucy said, as she and the other girls backed up pushing the boys backwards behind them.

“Meg?” Natsu asked.

“Megalodon.” Levy said. “The largest shark known in the sea, also the shark king.”

“Thats right, and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you girls, let’s see.” Megalodon said as he thought for a moment. “Lucy, Levy, Juvia, Erza, Cana, and of course my favorite, Mirajane.” He said pointing to each of the girls.

“Cana go.” Erza said, pushing Cana in the direction of a tower.

“And then Laxus.” He looked at him and smiled. “Hows your father?”

“Dead because of you.” Laxus said.

“Oh, yes that’s right, how could I forget that?” Megalodon said slapping his forehead playfully. “And then there’s you.” He said turning to the boys. “I just have to thank you for what you have done for me, it really is an honor for you to think of us in the way that you did.”

“What do you mean? We haven’t done shit for you!” Gray yelled at him.

“Oh, but you have.” Megalodon said. “You lead us here, and thanks to you, we now know where the mermaids have been hiding for the last ten thousand years.”

“What.” The girls asked looking at the boys as they all backed away from them.

“No! No we didn’t!” Gajeel yelled.

“We would never do that!” Jellal yelled.

“Well then you should have been more careful when you were riding those seahorses of yours.” Megalodon said crossing his arm across his chest.

“That was you?” Natsu said. “You’re the one that was disturbing them?”

“I sure was.” Megalodon said. “And because of you boys, we get to deal with them.” He said gesturing towards the girls and the city and they backed up a bit more. “And as a bonus for you, me and my shoal will bring no harm to any of you boys.”

“How could you?” Levy asked the boys.

“We didn’t-” Gajeel started to say, but was cut off.

“How could you do this?” Lucy yelled.

“We trusted you.” Juvia yelled as tears started roll down her cheeks.

“And now you have ruined our home.” Erza yelled at them.

“But we didn’t mean to.” Jellal told her but she and the other girls didn’t want to listen.

“No this means war has come upon us, and it’s all thanks to you.” Mira told them, then there was a loud screech that rang out throughout the entire city. The boys looked up at the tower to see Cana blowing into a large horn sending the message that the enemy was here. And in the city, everyone heard the sound and they all started running towards the castle for shelter.

“Oh, looks like we got some runners.” Megalodon said, while laughing, and hundreds of other sharks stepped out from the shadows of the cave. “This is going to be fun.” Megalodon said and the boys grabbed the girls and jumped up onto the roofs of the buildings, and started running. The girls silently cried to themselves in the boy’s arms as they held on tight, the boys that they had trusted were the ones who brought this upon them.

“What have we done?” Gray asked his friends, but none of them had the answer.
