Laxus Dreyar sat at his usual table having a pint like he would from time to time. He was by himself because the rest of the Thunder Legion had things to do. He thought back to how Freed confessed his feelings to Mirajane. He was happy for his fellow comrade but, he felt like he wished to have someone just like Freed did. He started eyeing towards a certain brunette sitting at the bar.

"I wonder if she'd be into me" Laxus wondered, "Bickslow did say that I should just be honest to the one I love"

He took another sip, "Maybe I'll do that later"

At the bar

Cana was chugging down another pint yet again. To those not from Fairy Tail, it would seem strange. However, this was always a regular occurrence. She turned to look at the Lightning Dragon Slayer sitting by himself. To be honest, she had feelings for him after the huge Battle of Fairy Tail. Sure, she remembered the time that Laxus said he would only help if she did a striptease for him which was frankly low. But deep inside, she felt like she wouldn't mind it too much. After finishing her drink, Mira came back with another.

"Something on your mind Cana?" Mira asked.

"Yeah, how do you do it?" Cana replied.

"What do you mean?" Mira questioned.

"I mean, how were you able to get together with the person you like?" Cana said more clearly.

"Well, Freed told me his feelings first and I told him mine and then we became a couple" Mira answered, "There really isn't much too it"

"I see" Cana exclaimed.

"So, who's the lucky one?" Mira asked.

"It's Laxus" Cana replied.

"I see, well, he's not the type to tell you himself so maybe you should do it" Mira suggested.

"There is no way that will happen very easily" Cana sighed, "Can I have another barrel?"

"Sure" Mira said in defeat.

Cana grabbed the barrel and started chugging down the alcoholic beverage. Laxus was looking over and was still admiring her. He wondered if there is any time where she would get extremely drunk. If only he had known that his mind spoke too soon there.

Later, that night

As Mirajane was packing up, she noticed Cana was lying on the floor passed out drunk. This was probably the most alcohol she ever drank. More than when she had that drinking contest with Bacchus. She tried picking her up but she felt too heavy for her. Mira looked around and saw Laxus was still in the guild.

"Hey Laxus, a little help here" She called out.

"What seems to be the problem?" Laxus asked, only to realise that Cana was passed out.

"Do you mind if you take Cana back home? I can't carry her" Mira requested.

"Uh, sure thing" Laxus agreed, taking the Card Mage onto his shoulders. He made his way to Fairy Hills, the owner was fine with him coming in. As he was unlocking her door, she started waking up but was still extremely drunk. Cana noticed that she was being carried and saw the head of yellow hair next to her.

"Laxus?" She exclaimed.

"Oh Cana, you're awake" Laxus noted, "I guess I can just put you to bed and I'll take my leave"

"Thank you" Cana thanked. As Laxus was placing her onto her bed, she said something that was barely audible.

"Come again?" Laxus asked.

"I said I love you" Cana confessed. This took him by surprise. The girl that he had feelings for straight up confessed to him. He wasn't sure if she was actually telling the truth or if this was a side of alcohol taking affect. Before Laxus could reply, she immediately went to sleep.

"I guess I'll have to ask her tomorrow then" Laxus exclaimed, taking his leave.

The Next Day

Cana was sitting at the bar yet again but had a throbbing headache. She decided that she wouldn't drink as much next time. Mira had given her some aspirin to take to help with the pain. Just as she was getting a bit better, Laxus decided to sit next to her.

"Hey Cana, you got a minute?" He asked.

"Yeah sure, what would you like?" Cana replied.

"I was wondering if you remembered what happened last night" Laxus exclaimed.

"Uh, I remember you taking me back home because I was passed out, why?" Cana explained.

"Do you remember what you said to me as I was putting you to bed?" Laxus questioned. For a few seconds, Cana was trying to think back to the event. Upon remembering that she confessed to him, a blush started forming on her cheeks. Why did getting drunk had to make her blurt out things at the wrong time?

"And if I do?" She asked.

"Well, let's say that you're not the only one" Laxus said with a smile as he leaned closer. Without hesitation, he placed his lips onto hers. This took Cana by surprise but she complied and kissed back. Upon breaking the kiss, Laxus finally spoke up.

"I love you Cana" He confessed.

"I love you too Laxus" She replied.

"I'm assuming that this happened last night" A voice interrupted. This made the new couple jump and they hadn't realised that Mirajane was listening in. The two were so red, they could give Erza's hair a run for its money.

"It looks like there are now 6 couples in Fairy Tail" Mira said happily as she drew another tick in her notepad, "So who's next?"

"Why do you always want to squabble in people's love lives?" Laxus questioned.

"It's the joy of being a matchmaker" Mira answered, "I'm sure you know this by now"

"How does Freed even deal with you?" Laxus sighed.

"Because he's a good boyfriend, maybe you can get tips from him" Mira suggested.

"Are you suggesting that he won't be a good boyfriend?" Cana questioned.

"Not at all, I am only saying that he has a friend who can help him" Mira answered, "Now goodbye, I'm going to help my brother with his love life"

"Oy vey" Laxus said as the matchmaker ran off.

"Don't worry about it, in my eyes, you are the best boyfriend" Cana told him.

"Thank you" He thanked, giving her a kiss onto her forehead.

Note: I know these two might sound a little bit OOC but I had trouble trying to write this since I do not see much of Laxus in the anime. I hope this came out enjoyable enough because out of all the ships that I am going to write in this, this one is probably the one that's hard to write.
