Gray sat at the table in deep thought, he was thinking about when his rival and friend, Natsu, announced that he and Lucy were a couple. That made him think about his own relationship status. If he were to be completely honest, he does share feelings towards Juvia. However, he doesn't know whether or not, he should come face to face with her and admit his feelings. Sure, Juvia seems to stalk him almost every second he's in the guild but, does he have what it takes to be a good boyfriend?

"Yo Ice for brains, what are you doing sitting around?" Natsu suddenly asked.

"Sorry, I'm just thinking about something" Gray replied.

"Strange, you normally don't act like this when I call you a name" Natsu pointed out, "Is there something wrong?"

"No, not really" Gray swiftly answered, "I should probably get going now"

Gray swiftly departed away from the table before Natsu could even question him. As he was going towards the Guild doors, he saw Juvia in the corner of his eye watching him. Juvia seemed worried when he started leaving. Lucy noticed this and decided to ask.

"Say Juvia, you seemed a little worried, something wrong?" Lucy asked.

"Well, Gray-sama doesn't seem like himself there" Juvia explained, "He didn't even pick a fight with Natsu-san when he was insulted."

"Yeah, it looked like something was on his mind" Lucy agreed.

Juvia wondered what could possibly get Gray to act like this. He has been like that for a while when she thought about it. Come to think of it, Juvia realised that this only began to happen when Lucy and Natsu got together. Was there some correlation to that? Juvia turned her pupils towards Lucy wondering if Gray had some form of feelings towards the Celestial Mage and was depressed because he had no chance.

'That can't be, Gray-sama always saw Lucy-san as a sister' Juvia thought

It had been three days now and Gray was still acting like this. He wouldn't pick a fight with anyone, he rarely made some cold related comment, and he didn't even strip a single article of clothing. Everyone seemed to worry about the Ice-Make Mage however, Natsu seemed to be able to understand what's going on in his ice brain.

"Luce, I think I know what's up with Gray" Natsu exclaimed.

"Really, how come?" Lucy asked.

"I noticed that he was starting to act like this when we got together" Natsu stated, "I have a feeling that it has something to do with his relationship status"

"How come you are never this perceptive at any other time?" Lucy questioned.

"That's because I know Gray like the back of my hand" Natsu answered, "I'm going to have a pep talk with him"

"Alright, just try not to make this hard on him" Lucy called out.

"Will do" He replied. Natsu then made his way towards Gray and caught his attention.

"Hey Gray, I'd like to have a word with you privately" Natsu exclaimed.

"Um ok, sure" Gray complied.

The two made there way outside of the guild and stopped at the nearby alley just outside the door. Juvia noticed this and tried to secretly follow them. She hid behind the corner so that she wouldn't get noticed.

"So, what's going on with you recently?" Natsu asked.

"Well, I've been looking at you and Lucy and it made me wish I had what you two have" Gray answered.

"I was right, you were thinking about your relationship status" Natsu confirmed.

"Yeah, I just doubt that I would be a good boyfriend" Gray exclaimed.

"Well, it really depends on who you like" Natsu replied, "So, who do you have sights for?"

"Promise you won't laugh?" Gray requested.

"I'll try not to" Natsu agreed.

"I have feelings for Juvia" Gray admitted. There was a pregnant silence until Natsu spoke up.

"Oh, well that's not really something to be embarrassed about" Natsu exclaimed, "I mean, she has an obvious attraction to you"

"Well yeah but, I feel like I wouldn't be a great boyfriend for her" Gray replied.

"How come?" Natsu questioned.

"To be honest, I feel like I'll fail to do anything right considered what I did in the past" Gray answered, remembering what happened to Ur.

"Well, the only solution is to tell her yourself" Natsu said as he turned around, "You can come out now Juvia"

This took Gray by surprise, Juvia came out of her hiding spot behind the corner. He was not expecting her to be listening this whole time. A blush started creeping up on Gray's face realising that he had admitted his feelings in front of the girl he likes.

"Was Juvia that obvious?" Juvia asked.

"You forget that I am a Dragon Slayer and have heightened senses" Natsu replied as he walked off.

"So Gray-sama, is it true that you have feelings for Juvia?" She asked.

"Yes, I do" Gray answered, "I just think that I wouldn't be able to be a great boyfriend because I'm afraid of hurting you"

"Don't be silly Gray-sama" Juvia said as she placed her hands on his face, "No matter what, you will always be perfect to Juvia"

"You think so?" He questioned.

"Juvia knows so" She replied. The two had their faces only centimetres apart before closing the gap with their lips. Meanwhile, back inside the guild at the table where Natsu had returned.

"So, were you able to do something?" Lucy asked.

"Lets say that all is well and that Mira will be happy" Natsu answered.
