Lucy sat in third period, wondering why Natsu never came back and how it all went down.

She let her mind wander all pf the place, thinking about the whole situation as Natsu came into the classroom. He looked around the room until spotting the blonde, and walking over.

He sat down next to her, panting a little, but all in all,smiling.

"Are you alright, Natsu?" Lucy asked, a little concerned about what had happened and why he was out of breath.

Natsu nodded, giving himself a moment before speaking, "I, uh, ran all the way of here from the other end of the school.

"But, are you alright Lucy?" He asked, concern lacing in his voice. 

Lucy gave a half shrug and said, "I'm fine, just a bit worried I have to move again."

"Don't worry Luce," Natsu said, giving her toothy grin. "I won't let that happen!"

Lucy gave him a warm smile, but was soon replaced with confusion, "Luce?"

"Yup! It's my nickname for you!" He replied.

Lucy gave a sweet giggle to Natsu's exitement.

Before anything else was said, their teacher, mr. Gildarts said, "alright students, listen up!" Making third period begin.

Having finally finished her first day of school, Lucy walked towards her locker, having the intent of putting her things away.

"Hey, Lucy!" Her brother called for her.

Lucy smiled at the voice and looked toward him, as she reached her locker, now opening it, "hey Laxus!"

"Um... do you think I can sorta, maybe, kinda live with you?" Laxus asked, sheepishly. "Dad kicked me out."

Lucy giggled at the question, "yeah, of course. Here's a spare keu, I'll be there soon, but I have to do something first."

He nodded at her then walked off, waving goodbye.

She put her things away, then walked into the music room, to clean up for her music teacher, ms. Lyra.

After she finished cleaning, she thought of one of her favourite songs as a kid and smiled.

The two of them finished, a bit out of breath, but smiling at each other. Lucy hadn't sung with someone in years and she was glad it was Natsu, though she was a little embarrassed she was caught off guard like that.

Before either said anything, they both looked at the time, eyes wide. "I've got to go!" They said in unison, bolting out the door, then going into opposite directions.

Lucy ran home and opened the door. "I'm home!" She yelled out for her brother to hear.

"Took you long enough," Laxus said, rolling his eyes. "What were you doing anyway?"

"I had to clean the music room," she told him, hiding the other thing she did. She rubbed her neck, hoping he'd believe it took her that long to clean.

Laxus's eyes furrowed, "it doesn't take you that long to clean, what else were you doing?"

She managed to stifle a laugh before saying, "um... nothing? Anyway, I'm, uh, going to do my homework! See ya!" She bolted upstairs before Laxus could ask anymore questions.

After a while, Laxus yelled for Lucy to come downstairs

"What do you need?" She asked him.

"Can you set the table? I made dinner," Laxus had said.

Lucy nodded and went into the kitchen to set the table.

"So, what are you making," Lucy asked, feeling her stomach grumble.

"Your favourite food! Ramen!" Laxus smiled happily.

Lucy gave a short laugh and said, "I don't eat ramen anymore."

Laxus eyes went wide, but he soon recovered with a little playful smirk, "I also made rice balls."

Lucy shook her head and said, "nope, sorry."

"What!?" Laxus exclaimed, crying. "What happened to my little sister!?"

Lucy rolled her eyes as he hugged her and she responded with, "she grew up."

She pushed him off her and said, "just hurry up, I'm hungry! Or do you want me to Lucy-kick you?"

"On it!" Laxus yelled and ran off.

Once they finished eating, Lucy thanked Laxus and walked towards her room.

"What about the dishes?!" Laxus exclaimed as she walked off.

"Not my problem," Lucy responded, making Laxus frown.

As the sun came up, waking Lucy through the blinds, she sat up groggily, walking into her bathroom to get ready for the day.

She took a quick shower and dried her hair, putting it in her side pony-tail, then quickly brushing her hair and applying a thin layer of makeup. Once done, she put on the school uniform, which looked like every  uniform ever, she had thought, and walked downstairs.

Her eyes widened as she saw the table still dirty from the night before. 

She clenched her teeth and ran out the door, angry, "Laxus!"

She ran to school, fury in her eyes, no one daring to get in her way.

She made it inside of the school and stopped when she saw Laxus and Natsu talking in front of Laxus's locker.

"Laxus!" Lucy roared, making everyone look at her.

His eyes widened and he quickly hid behind Natsu, "help me Natsu! She's gonna kill me!"

Natsu shook his head, "is she worse than Erza?"

Laxus nodded quickly, "way worse!"

"Then I'm out of here! Sorry Laxus! Hopefully I'll see you later!" Natsu quickly ran off, practically shrieking.

"Natsu..." Laxus said, holding out a hand, as if to reach him. He turned around and gave Lucy a nervous smile, "hey... hey Lucy..."

"And where have you two been?" Erza asked upon the two siblings arrival.

"Oh, you know, teaching Laxus to clean up after himself," Lucy said, inspecting her nails.

Laxus's eyes were wide in terror, afraid that Lucy would strike any second/.

"Anyway..." Levy said, ignoring Laxus. "Class is starting soon. Lets go, Gajeel." 

Gajeel shrugged and followed the short blue-nette to their next class.

"So does Juvia," Juvia smiled, walking in the other direction.

"I''m coming Juvia," Gray said, walking next to her.

"Is it just me," Lucy said, watching the two walk away, "or would they adorable together?"

Mira's eyes widened after Lucy finished, "you just gave me the best idea Lucy! Text me after school!"

"Sure will!" Lucy told her.

Mira nodded and walked off to her class with Erza and Jellal.

"Alright Luce! Our turn!" Natsu said, smiling at her. "Unless you wanna skip, because I'm down."

Lucy shook her head, "like I'd ever. Now let's go."

"Aye sir!" Natsu said and they walked off to class together.

They were talking about nonsense, laughing and giggling, being total dorks.

Lisanna, in the distance, saw the two, clenched her teeth, "let's see about that."

"Natsu!" Lisanna yelled, smiling. "I've missed you! And I love you so~ much!" She hugged him, making him stumble backwards a little bit.

"Lisanna, we broke up yesterday," Natsu said to her, pushing her off. His face had switched from a happy tone to a serious one.

'I didn't realize they broke up, poor Natsu...'  Lucy thought.

"Aw come one Natsu~! You only did that because that blondie over there lied about me," Lisanna said, pouting as she got up from the floor.

Lucy's eyes widened at Lisanna's words and her eyes fell to the floor, "I'll see you in class, Natsu."

She walked away before anyone could say anything else.

Natsu grit his teeth, "Lisanna, we can't be friends any more if you're going to be mean to Lucy or any of my friends. Listen, I trust Lucy and yes you could say I  just met her yesterday, but I also trust Levy and Laxus. Heck! I even trust Gray more than you!"

Lisanna's eyes widened, "Natsu... I'm-"

"Save it Lisanna, you're not welcome with me and my friends anymore." Natsu pushed past her, and ran after Lucy.

"I didn't mean it... I swear..." Lisanna said in a small whisper, falling onto her knees, crying.

Natsu sat next to Lucy, putting a gentle hand on her head for reassurance, "are you okay Lucy?"

Lucy nodded, giving a small smiled, "I just feel so bad though, I've ruined a relationship on my first day of school! I've screwed up."

Natsu rested his forehead and closed his eyes, "you didn't mess anything up, Lisanna did, so never worry about it, got it."

Lucy gave a real smile this time as she closed her eyes, "aye..."

The bell had rang, indicating lunch had finally started.

"Let's go Luce," Natsu said, holding a hand out for her.

Lucy smiled and grabbed it, "let's it!"

They got to the cafeteria and sat with their friends, Lucy sitting next to Mira and Natsu sitting next to Lucy and Gray.

"So Lucy~" Mira sang out, a devious smile forming. "Do you have a crush on anyone?"

"Don't answer that," Gray said, stopping the conversation that the others were having.

Mira sent Gray a glare making him shiver and shrink down.

"Well, do you?" Mira asked.

Lucy shook her head, "what kind of question is that! I only moved here yesterday. I didn't have enough time getting to know anyone yet.

"Not even Natsu?" Mira asked.

Lucy shook her head again, "if I'm going to fall in love, I'm going to need more than just a day." 

"Then I 'll wait," Mira said, smiling again.

"Anyway... does anyone have the time?" Levy asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah, it's 12 O'clock," Jellal said, pulling out his phone.

"Oh shoot!" Lucy got up abruptly, "I need to go! Be right back!" 

She ran off out of the cafeteria, making everyone look after her.

"Okay, well, that was weird," Laxus said, clapping his hands together, "but I'm going to follow her."

"No you'r not," Mira said. She glared at him, challenging him. Laxus took the challenge, but ended up losing.

"Fine," Laxus said, crossing his arms.

"Natsu, would you be a dear and-" Mira started.

"He's already gone," Gray said, looking at to where Natsu ran off too.

"Good."

Lucy sat in front of a grave, looking down upon it, "hi mom. It's been a while, hasn't it? Well, I moved to Fairy Tail School for the Arts, like you wanted. I've started singing again and met some amazing friends."

Lucy felt a drop on her cheek and looked, "it's not raining... oh."

She felt her cheek and sniffled, "I really miss you, you know that? Laxus and father aren't getting along right now, but I'm sure in just a few weeks, they'll be back to normal. I send letters to dad every week and he misses me very much, but we both agreed that this was best for everyone. Every time I sing, I'll sing with everything I've got for you, I swear I will."

Lucy felt a pair of arms wrap around her in a tight embrace, "hey, it's okay."

She turned around and hugged Natsu back, "I miss her Natsu, I really do. She... she died in a car accident on this very day 5 years ago."

"She's smiling down on you everyday and I'm sure she's proud of the women you've become," Natsu said, stroking her hair.

"Lucy~! Where did you go!?" Laxus said, hugging her. "You should've taken big brother Laxus with you!"

She rolled her eyes and pushed him off, "I need to go to music class, Laxus, and so do you."

She walked away from him leaving him with Mira who was dragging him to their class.

Lucy and Natsu sat down and waited as the bell rang.

"Alright class! So today I ask of two singers to come up and sing a song for us? I need it for today's. One girl and one boy please." Their teacher, ms Lyra said.

Lucy and Natsu raised their hands at the same time.

"Perfect!" Ms. Lyra said. "You two come up and sing, please."

They walked up and whispered to each other before nodding and starting the song.
