After leaving the city of Malba, Y/N, A, Matthew, Noah, Mio, Lanz, Sena, Eunie, Taion, Nikol, Glimmer, Riku, Manana, Ethel, Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Wendy, Carla, and Juvia return to Magnolia Town to begin the rebuilding the Fairy Tail guild hall.

They were walking in the streets of Magnolia that were familiar to the Fairy Tail members, but it is new to everyone else. Peaceful place with tons of buildings side by side on the streets and there was a huge church building in it. 

Lucy: (thoughts) In my opinion, Magnolia is the jewel of eastern Fiore. But it's shown much brighter when the Fairy Tail guild hall was part of the skyline. Strange to think it was a year since we walked these streets.

They were walking to where the old guild building was, which is now a huge crater due the events in the Tartaros incident. A while back, Lucy sent out a letter to every guild member that was in the Fairy Tail guild saying that they are planning to bring their guild back.

Mio: Look at this place. It's way different from the colonies.

Sena: Mimi's right. Our colonies never look so vibrant and colorful.

Ethel: Yes. It is a nice change from the usual sights.

Y/N: Glad you guys are enjoying it.

Nia: (annoyed) Hey.... Y/N, how long are you going to let her hold your arm like that?

Y/N: My arm? (look at his arm which revealed that Juvia was hugging it) Juvia?! Why are you hugging my arm like that?

Juvia: (smile) Why, I'm making sure you are protected, of course. We wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you, would we?

Juvia's breasts were pressing his arm, making him blush as Lucy, A, Wendy, and Nia were having jealous looks on their faces.

Natsu: Does this bring back some memories or what?

Happy: Hey look! They fixed up Kardia Cathedral.

Lucy: (thoughts) The members we've been able to find, we're all in favor of getting the guild back together.

Wendy: It's so good to see everything's back to normal.

Carla: The town's always been resilient. 

Lucy: Yeah. (thoughts) After the fight with Avatar, our group needed to split up for a while. But we agreed to reconvene here and Magnolia.

(flashback)

Bolearis: (to Ethel) Are you sure about this commander?

Ethel: I'm positive. It would be exactly like what Y/N said. If we even returned to the colony or the Queen, we would be locked up or worse. Once I reach this safe haven of theirs I connect you with the private line we have with each other. The Consuls nor the Queen can access that with nothing they have or with their Irises.

Bolearis: (sigh) Very well. I hope you'll stay safe.

Ethel: I will.

Bolearis: (turns to Y/N, A, Matthew, Nia, and Dromarch) I'm trusting you with her safety.

Matthew: Relax! No worries.

A: Indeed. We shall keep her safe along with the others.

Erza: I won't be long, but I need to report back to Jellal first.

Gray: Hey Gajeel, can you not tell the Council about us? Keep it hush-hush.

Juvia: (smile, blush) They wouldn't approve of us shacking up, right Y/N?

Y/N: (blush) Wait what? 

Gray: Give me a break! I mean me and Erza's mission!

Wendy: (blush, steaming) Shack up?

A: (left eye begins to twitch)

Nia: (mutters) I swear you leave him alone for five seconds he does something to annoy you. It's hard enough to win his heart.

Levy: (smile) We need to report back as well, but we'll meet you there ASAP.

Y/N: Good to know. Also...

Levy: (smile) Don't worry, Y/N. We'll let the Council know to watch out for these Moebius guys. No worries.

Y/N: (smiles) Thanks!

Levy then blushed at his smile.

Levy: (thoughts) That smile of his paired with that face. It's so hot.

Y/N: You alright?

Levy: (blush while wilding throwing her arms out) Y-Y-Y-Yeah! I'm fine.

Gajeel: Kinda thought working for the Magic Council was my true calling.

Lily: (sweat drop) That is supposed to be a joke right?

Gajeel: I bet old Wood-Face would be sad to see me go.

Happy: (tease) Now that one's definitely a joke.

Gajeel: (begin chasing after Happy) I should arrest you for that!

Happy: (files away) No crime in being funny!

After that Happy flew behind Sena to protect himself.

Sena: Leave the kitty alone! Or (brings out her hammer) I'll send you flying, Rust Bucket!

Gajeel: Rust Bucket?! You want me to arrest you too, you little pipsqueak! 

Sena: Pipsqueak?!?!?! You wanna go Screw Face!

Gajeel: Bring it on, ya runt!

Mio: (bonks Gajeel and Sena on their heads) Stop it, Sena. You know, he was just pushing your buttons.

Sena: But Mimi!

Gajeel: (annoyed) Hey if she started it why did you bonk me on the head too?

Glimmer: Because you deserved it insulting Sena and for abusing your power, what else Gearbrain.

Gajeel: Gearbrain?! I don't abuse my power, that was the old me!

Euine: Sure it was. Or maybe it was all that rust on your brain.

Riku: Riku thinks Iron Man brain loses screws!

Gajeel: I'll arrest guys for those insults!

Natsu and Lucy smile at each other because they are both happy and excited to return home to Magnolia town and rebuild the Fairy Tail guild hall.

(flashback ended)

Lucy: (thoughts) It's a shame, but I seriously doubt we're gonna get any information about Zeref from those Avatar members. They worshiped him, but they didn't actually know him.

She also worries about something she has been thinking about for a while. Wendy looks at Lucy and notices that she seems sad.

Wendy: Is something wrong? You look sad. Aren't you glad to be back here?

Lucy: (reassure smile) Uh-huh, of course I am. I just kinda got lost in my memories for a second.

Natsu knows that Lucy is lying that nothing is alright. Because Natsu knows her better than anyone in Fairy Tail and can tell when something is wrong with her. Y/N also knows she is hiding something that is bothering her or she is worried about something

Lucy: (thoughts) Yeah, so many memories were made in this town. Some are sad, some are happy, most of them still make me smile. I formed them with my Fairy Tail family. I was afraid after what happened last year. Those memories would be all we had left.

(flashback)

After Makarov announces that he is disbanding the guild after the battle with Tartaros, everyone is shocked. 

Wakaba: (shocked) Master, are you out of your mind?!

Macao: What's wrong with you?!

Lucy is the most shocked that Makarov is disbanding the guild because she knows how much both the guild and its members mean to him, she can't believe that he would ever disband the guild.

Member #1: I can't believe you wouldn't talk to us first!

Member #2: How will we put food on the table?!

Member #3: Yeah, we need money!

Member #4: Tell us you're joking!

Makarov: I am disbanding the Fairy Tail guild. Which means from this point on, you must forge your own way forward. (turns his back on his members) That's final. 

Warren: I just can't accept this Master!

Max: You've got to realize that you're messing with our lives here!

Member #5: If you want to quit so bad, why don't you just leave by yourself?!

Member #6: Yeah!

Mirajane and Lisanna are saddened by Makarov's decision to disband the guild.

Elfman: A real man never quits! Fairy Tail ain't going away! 

Makarov: I've made my decision and Fairy Tail is no more! HEAR ME?!?! YOU ARE NEVER TO SPEAK ITS NAME AGAIN!!! LEAVE IT IN THE PAST!!!

Everyone is upset by Makarov's words and still can't believe that he is disbanding the guild especially, after everything they've been through together, not only as a guild, but as a family.

Lucy is heartbroken by Makarov's words because joining Fairy Tail was her dream and she learned and grew so much with Fairy Tail. She made new friends and became apart of a big family.

Hearing Makarov say to never speak Fairy Tail's name again breaks her heart, especially since it's coming from him because is the guild's father figure. She knows how much he loves everyone as his children which makes it even more heartbreaking.

(flashback ended)

Lucy: (thoughts) Makarov was gone before the shock could wear off, we were all in a daze. Eventually, everyone did have to start forging their own paths, as he'd said. And just like that, Fairy Tail was over. We were left clutching those memories we shared.

Just as everyone is about to reach where the old guild hall was, Lucy stops which made everyone notice. 

Juvia: Are you alright?

Happy: Come on, Lucy. We're just about there.

Y/N: What's the matter?

Matthew: Yeah, we're nearly at the old guild hall.

Lucy: (sad) I know, but honestly, I'm kind of too scared to get any closer. 

Natsu: Why? Cause the building's gone? (smile) That's the least important part of the guild. It's what's inside us that counts.

Lucy: (sad) We all feel the same way about it, but everyone else? 

A: You're thinking back to the day your guild was disbanded, correct?

Lucy: (nodded, sad) I mean, it was exciting when Natsu showed up out of nowhere and talked about reviving the guild. So I let myself get fired up too. (clenched her hand) And right away, I sent out messages to everybody that had been in the guild, at least those I could find. No word for me for an entire year. Then suddenly, I asked them to drop everyone, come to Magnolia and rebuild Fairy Tail. Maybe they've done exactly what the Master said and started making their own way through life. Maybe they've moved on. Are we the only ones who feel this way? What if they have put it in the past? What if they've forgotten about it all together?  

Y/N: Lucy.... (walks up to her) Now, you have every right to that, you truly do. But while you think that most of your guild friends have moved on with their lives, but you can't think so negatively. (smile at her and take her hand) But I know deep down they were waiting for someone like you to call them and bring them back together. Because bonds cannot vanish like that. They never do.

Lucy wiped a tear from her eye and nodded. Soon Y/N felt someone patted him on the back and he turned to see another member of Fairy Tail, Cana Alberona.

Cana: (smile) Thanks for telling her that pal. I know my memories are not that great, but it's only been a year.

Natsu: Cana?!

Juvia: (surprised) You're here?

Lanz: You guys know her?

Wendy: Yeah, she's Cana Alberona. One of Fairy Tail's members.

Cana: (smile) What's up? It's so good to see you guys again and nice to see some nice faces. Wendy, I think you've grown a bit since last time.

Wendy: (sweat drop) No, not really...

Cana: And you're just as bouncy as always, Lucy! 

Y/N: (thoughts, blush) Does she have to play with her breasts like that?

Cana then looks at Y/N before she walks and places her hand on his chin, making him look up at her.

Cana: (seductive smile) We didn't get to introduce ourselves, handsome~. Name's Cana baby~.

Y/N: (blush) N-N-N-N-Nice t-t-t-t-to you meet you too.

Cana: (seductive smile) What's wrong cutie~? (presses her breasts on his face) Cat caught your tongue~?

Y/N blushed very madly to the point where his face is just as red as Erza's hair color. Cana seeing this couldn't help but giggle a bit seductive because of Y/N's red face, witnessing how adorable that red face of his looks was and couldn't help but press her breasts further into his face.

Cana: (seductive smile) You know what? You really are cute when you blush~.

Y/N: (thoughts) Damn it, her breasts and her tone...! It's like when Na'el got everyone so drunk they became so handies with me.

Although Y/N could feel a dark aura coming from A, Nia, Lucy, Juvia, and even Wendy of all people had a menacing aura around her.

Lucy: (dark aura fades) Cana...

Cana: (smile) Not gonna lie, with all that happened, this has been an eye opening year for me. I decided I'd try to track down my old man, so I'm gonna take a trip. (pulls out one of Lucy's letters) I can't hardly believe I got your letter, what a lucky break. I imagine everyone else feels the same.

Lucy: (gasps in surprise) Huh?

Cana: (smile) The guild's family. I've been a member ever since I was a little kid. So when Makarov decided to break it up all of a sudden, I was pretty lost. I had know idea how I was gonna make a living or who I could turn to. In a weird way, it helped put things into perspective.

Cana takes a drink from her bottle as Y/N and the others smile in agreement with her.

Cana: (smile) The whole situation was such a shock to all of us. It was like that (gesture to Y/N) guy said it seemed like nobody had the stones to reach out. Or I should say nobody but you Lucy, good call.

After Lucy hears what Cana says she looks at Y/N and Natsu with an expression if they think the others also came because of her letter, they both smile with confidence that they did.

Cana: (grabs Lucy's hand) So come on, everyone's waiting.

Lucy: (surprised) They are?

Cana starts pulling Lucy all the way to where the guild hall was so they can reunite with all their guild mates. As Lucy and Cana reach where the guild hall used to be, Lucy is shocked by what she sees when they get there. All the members that she was able to find and send letters to actually came back. 

Warren: (smile) Looking good Lucy! You're rocking that long hair!

Jet, Droy, and Vijeeter: (smile) It's so awesome to see you guys!

Max: (smile) When I got your letter, it made me really happy.

Reedus: Oui.

Nab: (nods his head) 

Macao: Heard Natsu caused a scene at the capital.

Romeo: Hey Wendy, we missed you and Carla around here.

Wakaba: Looking like a scrubber there, Happy.

Bisca, Alzack, Asuka, Laki and Kinana welcome Lucy and the others back.

Erza: (smile) Certainly took you long enough.

Levy: (smile) Back at Magnolia, it feels good. 

Lucy: Warren...

Warren: (pulls out a phone) You like the portable communication lacrima I built?

Lucy: Nab...

Juvia: He read your sorcerer weekly articles, and so did I.

Lucy: Reedus... Max...

Reedus: Oui, oui.

Max: Here in the flesh.

Lucy: Alzack, Bisca, and little Asuka...

Erza: Still such a beauty and happy family. 

Lucy: Jet... Droy....

Jet and Droy: Team Shadow Gear together again!

Levy: I had to leave the Council for that to happen.

Macao, Romeo, and Wakaba: (shocked) YOU WERE WORKING FOR THE MAGIC COUNCIL?!?!?!

Lucy: Macao, Wakaba, and Romeo...

Gajeel: (smirk) Gotta have to lock you guys up for being chumps.

Lucy: Laki....

Gray: (to Laki) Digging the new hair style.

Lucy: Vijeeter...

Lily: (seeing Vijeeter dancing) I'm guessing that's some kind of reunion dance.

Lucy: Kinana...

Max: She actually learned some magic. (Kinana pulls a wand) 

???: I wasn't gonna miss this for the world.

Elfman and Lisanna appear behind Lucy.

Lucy: Lisanna... Elfman...

Elfman: A reunion fit for a real man! 

???: Lucy.

Lucy gasped as she turned and saw Mirajane before she began to tear up with joy.

Lucy: (teary) Mira, it's you...

Mirajane: (smiles) Welcome back home.

Lucy: (crying) I am home.

Lucy begins to cry happy tears to be reunited with all of her guild members. This scene brought a smile to Y/N, A, Matthew, Nia, and Dromarch.

Lucy: (thoughts) It felt so natural for us to be together again. Like a real family. I was so happy, the tears wouldn't stop. 

Lucy: (crying) I missed you all!

All the Fairy Tail wizards are happy not only to be together again, but also happy to be a family again. Mirajane hugs Lucy to calm her down because she doesn't want her to keep crying as Lucy hugs her back because she missed Mira a lot. She is one of the members she is close to.

Y/N smiles at the reunion of the Fairy Tail wizards. But his smile suddenly fades into a frown, as he remembers something.

A: (worried) Y/N? Are you alright?

Y/N: I... I'm gonna go for a walk, I won't be gone for too long. (walks away)

Noah: What's wrong with Y/N?

Matthew: (looks at Nia) You think he was remembering Na'el?

Nia: Well of course, he was! What else would he be thinking about? Shouldn't you be too?

Matthew looked down as he remembered what happened to Na'el and his grandfather.

Sena: Who's Na'el?

Matthew: She was my sister, someone who was very close to Y/N.

Ethel: May we ask what happened to her?

Matthew and Nia looked at each other. 

A: Tell them. They are a part of our group now.

Nia: Are you sure, A?

A: Remember what Na'el always said: Our pain is their pain, and their pain is our pain.

Matthew: (sigh) Alright then. But it's not a pleasant story for you lot.

Glimmer: Hello. We're soldiers tricked into battling for a bunch of fake gods for amusement? We didn't take that well either.

Matthew: Right, so buckle up for this. It happened before Y/N, A, and I became liberators... 

(flashback)

The camera shifted to show Matthew sprinting in desperation around a burning landscape.

Matthew: (panting) Na'el! Grandad!

Nia: Moebius attacked one of the safe havens, unleashing everything they had at us.

Matthew dodged a barrage of shots fired from a bunch of Beam Troopers. One launched a charge shot at him, but he managed to get behind a building just as it fired. He turned the corner to continue finding the people he was looking for.

Matthew: We had no idea why it happened. But the army they sent was bigger and badder than anything they previously sent at us.

As soon as Matthew did, he widened his eyes in shock and horror. He saw an old man being stabbed by Ausar through the chest by his dark blade.

Past Matthew: GRANDAD!!!

Ausar: Hmmmm. (turns to Matthew) If you won't tell me, then he will.

Matthew's Grandad: Matthew...

As Ausar pulled out his blade, he then walked over to Matthew, but was kicked in the head by Y/N.

Y/N: (angry) YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!!!!

Ausar: You... I didn't think you would be here, but oh well. (gets into his stance) I'll get what I want after I kill you. 

Nia: The man was Ausar, Z's top goon. Or if you want to be technically, Consul A. No one matched his loyalty and devotion to Z and Moebius cause better than him. 

Ausar rushed at Y/N with lightning fast speed and went in for a slash, but Y/N barely dodge it in time. Y/N brought his sword and tried to strike Ausar, but he just blocked it and pushed Y/N back 

Y/N threw his sword at him, but he dodge it all while Y/N went in for a punch, but that was blocked by Ausar grabbing it and then threw him away and into a crate.

Ausar: Hmmmm. Not as good as I thought you would be. Oh well. (point his sword at him) Where is it?

Y/N: Huh? Where's what?

Ausar: What we seek in this place! We know one of you has it. We just need their location!

Y/N: I don't know what you're talking about!

Ausar: Hmmmm. So stubborn. But then again..... Just as I expected from you.

Y/N: From me? 

Ausar: You don't need to know. Just know that your suffering will end now. (bring his sword in for a strike)

As Ausar was about to end him, Matthew punched him in the head.

Past Matthew: You murder my grandad! (goes in for another punch) You'll pay for it!

Y/N: Matthew!

As he went in for another strike, Ausar grabbed his fist and began to twist it causing Matthew pain in the process.

Ausar: I gave him a choice. Tell me where it was and live or die. (twist Matthew's arm some more)

???: Y/N? Matthew?

Everyone turned and saw Na'el approaching them. She had white hair and Gormtti ears. Her skin is white and her eyes are yellow. She has a blue diamond shaped core crystal with a red tint on her chest. She has a lean physique and a decent sized bust. On her torso, she wears a white tank-top with a diamond cutout above her chest that exposes the core crystal. On top of that tank-top she has black belly-covering high cut pants. On her legs she wears black high leg boots with green stripes. Her hands have black fingerless gloves. She also wears a large dark tan jacket that she keeps unbuttoned. The sleeves and bottom of the jacket have bronze details. The inside of the jacket is black with green studs and trim.

Y/N: Na'el! Get out of here!

Ausar then noticed a red Core Crystal that she had in her possession.

Ausar: There it is! (begin to walk toward her)

Y/N: (afraid) NA'EL! RUN!!!

As Ausar got closer to her, Matthew's grandad stopped by grabbing his arm. 

Ausar: (surprised) What?! 

Past Matthew: Granddad! 

Matthew's Grandad: Take care of...Na'el... the future...

Past Matthew: GRANDAD!!!

Matthew's Grandad: It's in your hands, Matthew! Y/N! 

Matthew's grandad explodes in a burst of light, sending everyone flying from it. Y/N and Matthew went flying into a wall head first, slowly sending them into unconsciousness. As Y/N did so he slowly brought out his arm. 

Y/N: (weak) Na'el..... (faints)

Matthew: After that explosion, the two of us were knocked out, and when we came to, A, Nia, Dromarch and some others that we knew were watching over us.....

(flashback ended) 

Matthew: (sad) But when we asked about Na'el.... Well.....

Nia: When we found them. We only found them, Na'el was nowhere in sight.

Sena: You mean... she's gone?

Dromarch: Yes. We found evidence of Y/N, Matthew, and Ausar being there. But we found no trace of Lady Na'el blood or scent. It's like she vanished into thin air.

Taion: And Ausar?

A: He escaped. Whatever it is he was looking for wasn't in the safe haven anymore. Y/N blames himself for Na'el vanishing.

Matthew: He and her had a big fight before the attack and he blames himself for it, if he had been by her side. She probably wouldn't have disappeared.

Mio: I am so sorry to hear that.

A: Don't be. Na'el wouldn't want you to be.

Noah: You said Ausar is one of the Consuls?

Nia: That's right. 

Dromarch: Indeed. One of the four strongest Consuls there is. And in fact the strongest of them all.

Lanz: This guy is the strongest Consul?!

A: Yes. It is because of this that all of the other Consuls fear and respect him.

Nia: But mostly fear. Z gives him everything he needs to keep the others in line. Power, fear, control, and domination.

Euine: If he's so strong, why not take over?

Dromarch: I'm afraid it is not that simple, Lady Euine. Ausar has complete loyalty to him. In fact, Ausar once destroyed an entire county to prove his loyalty to him. Made the survivors fear the name of Moebius.

Glimmer: This guy did what?!

Nikol: That's madness! 

Matthew: No, that's Moebius. But (looks at his hands) Y/N truly blames himself for my sis disappearance. He searched for three whole months after she went missing. (closes his hands) Searching for any sign of her.

Taion: I'm guessing he never found her yet, did he?

Nia: No.... We know deep down he'll never stop searching for her. He wants to make things right between them again. You know? (small laugh) It's one of the things about him, he hates bad blood between someone he knows.

Noah: So he wants to make amends for what happened between them, is that right?

A: Yes. He won't rest until he does. That's why he fights so hard against Moebius. He fights for Na'el sake as well.

Ethel: He has honor, I'll give him that.

Nia: More like stubbornness. I swore it took 10 of us to keep him in his bed while he finished resting up after that day. He wanted to search for Na'el right away.

Mio: They seem pretty close, aren't they?

A: Indeed. Y/N and Na'el grew up with each other. No matter what happened to each other, the other had their back.

Nikol: Do you think we should help him?

Riku: Riku want to find Y/N friend.

Dromarch: Unfortunately, he wants to find Na'el by himself. After all, he thinks it his fault she vanished.

Manana: But Manana think Y/N shouldn't take burden by himself.

Nia: Trust me, we tried to convince him, but he's too hard-headed.

Sena: But...

???: It's alright.

They turned to see Y/N who came back from his walk.

Y/N: I know it seems unfair, but I have to do this by myself. Na'el is my best friend in the whole world. She would do the same if she was in my shoes.

Glimmer: Still, doesn't that make you feel lonely doing it without everyone's help?

Y/N: No.... It just makes me more determined to find her. (grips his hand) I'll find her no matter what!

A: (worried) Y/N...

Y/N: (smile at A) Don't worry A. I'll be fine! You know Na'el would be the same if she was looking for me.

Natsu was hearing and couldn't help but feel bad for Y/N. He goes over a pile of rubble, digs through the rubble and finds something very important. 

Natsu: (smile) Guess what I found. A little ragged but who cares.

Natsu pulled it out of the ground. It was the Fairy Tail guild flag. Their guild still lives and was coming back into action!

Natsu: Our guild is back in action! Fairy Tail still rules!

(elsewhere)

The full moon was in the sky as a figure was standing in the middle of a grassfield, littering the field with a bunch of bodies. She was wearing a white sleeved collared bodysuit with black accents, red shoulder pads, on her back were decorations shaped in the form of A's Monado, and on her chest was a red Core Crystal shaped in the form of a cross. Finally she was wearing a black mask on her face. The figure looked around the field and then looked up at the full moon.

???: .......Y/N.....

Chapter 9 ended.
