Chapter Seven: The King's Request
It's summer! No more testing. Screaming hallelujah that I'm out of school. Not going to miss anybody there. No offense. Except for my friends. I love my friends. I also love you guys. <3

Natsu's POV:
"Natsu! Wake up!" I heard Lucy yell. I fell off the bed, startled by Lucy's scream. Getting off the ground, I saw five guards looking at me with intense stares. It made me flinch by surprise. I realized, however, they weren't my guards. Their armor is different and they carry a lance, while my guards carry swords.
"May we help you?" I asked politely. One of the guards, who looked like the captain, gave me a letter from the King of Sorciere. I opened the letter and found the royal seal placed beside his signature. It must be very important.
"You are Prince-"
"Uh, Natsu! Yes, Natsu, that's me!" Lucy looked at me with strange eyes. I scratched my head, avoiding eye contact with her. I still need to keep my identity a secret. The captain shrugged his shoulders, not really caring about my strange act.
"Yes, Natsu... you are to report to his majesty in an hour. He has some business he would like to take care of." The captain bowed to me and he commanded his troops to leave the inn. I sighed in relief and plopped onto the bed. I couldn't tell Lucy that I'm a prince. As much as I trust her, I have to be cautious.
"You should probably wash up. I'll do it after you," Lucy said. I nodded my head and went inside the bathroom. My teeth cleaned and my body all washed, I got out and saw new clothes on my bed. A note was placed above it and I looked to see that it was from Lucy. I read the note to myself.
"Dear Natsu, I went out to get you new clothes. Don't worry, I'll be back. I need to find clothes for myself too." I put the note to the side and tried on the clothes she gave me. It was really comfortable. Better than the clothes I wore in the castle. They were either too tight or too fancy.
"What time is it?" I heard somebody asked. I looked down and saw Petunia waking up from her sleep. She looked at me with an adorable smile on her face.
"Morning, Petunia. How did you sleep?" I asked.
"Great! I had the best dream ever! I was walking around the shore and I discovered that I had the power to breathe underwater. I jumped into the ocean and I was able to see hundreds of fish. They looked so delicious. I was about to eat one, but I woke up. I wish I kept on sleeping," Petunia said sadly. I rubbed her head and looked at the fish that Lucy got from the festival. It's small, but it's really pretty.
The door opened and I saw Lucy with a new dress on. She gave me a small wave and dashed towards the bathroom. She slammed the door shut and remembered to lock it. It was probably an emergency. After a few minutes, Lucy opened the door and sighed happily.
"I'm done! Let's go, Natsu!" Lucy said as she closed the bathroom door behind her. I nodded my head and carried Petunia over my shoulders. Locking the door to our room, I forgot about the fish and hurried back to go get it. I opened the door again and the fish was gone. I went up to the counter and there were no traces on how the fish left.
"Petunia, did you eat the fish?" I asked, slightly mad. Petunia shook her head. The look in her eyes were sincere. Suddenly, there was a gust of wind that blew right through me and I realized that the windows were open. I never remembered opening the windows. Then again, I do have a horrible memory.
I locked the door again and I caught up with Lucy. She gave me a smile, but it immediately faded away when she couldn't find her fish. How did it even disappear in the first place. It's not like someone was following us.
"Natsu, where's my fish?" Lucy asked with a hint of concern. Petunia pounced off me and settled on Lucy.
"I don't know. One minute it was there and then it was gone," I answered.
"Fish don't just vanish. Petunia, did you eat the fish?" Petunia shook her head.
"I didn't, I swear. Tell her, Natsu," Petunia said as she looked at me. Lucy stared at her, trying to figure out if she was lying or not.
"She didn't, Lucy. I was with her the whole time." Lucy nodded and the conversation dropped. The fish, however, still remained a mystery.

As told, we walked to his majesty's castle. Truthfully, it was bigger than the castle I lived in. As we made our way to the big gate, there were two guards who stood next to it. One on the right and one on the left. One was taller than the other by a lot. They both, however, stood high and mighty like soldiers.
"State your name and business," the tall guard said. I approached him slowly and whispered in his ear for only him to hear.
"I'm Prince Natsu. I was sent here by the king." The soldier blinked and suddenly bowed to show respect. The other guard was confused, but bowed as well. I put my hand on his shoulders and ordered him to open the gate for us to pass. The shorter soldier drew the gate open and I gestured for Lucy and Petunia to come.
"Why did that guard bow at you?" Petunia asked. I scratched my head, not knowing how to answer that question.
"I think they do it to all the people that pass by. Probably a procedure or something?" Petunia squinted her eyes as she looked at me.
"Hmm..."
"U-Uh, look! We're here!" I exclaimed, avoiding the subject. Lucy's eyes were shimmering. She looked amazed by the castle. Admittedly, it was impressive.
"Can we go in?" Lucy asked with excitement on her face.
"Just follow me." Opening the door, the first thing I noticed was the marble floor and the crystal chandelier that's hanging from the top. There were many people here. Some carrying trays of food, while other's were cleaning up the place.
I grabbed Lucy's hand, so she wouldn't be lost. We made our way through the crowd of busy people and searched endlessly for the king. We checked the kitchen, the ballroom, almost everything on the first floor. Yet, there's no sigh of him anywhere.
We came across a mahogany door that was left untouched. It looked really old. Opening the door, I went inside and discovered that it was a library. A massive library, to be exact. The library took up two floors with books on every wall.
"Ugh, where did I put that book?" A faint voice complained. I looked over at Lucy and she must've heard it too. Petunia jumped off of Lucy's hands and went to the direction of the voice. Lucy was about to call her, but I covered her mouth, since we're in the library.
"Lucy, you can't talk when you're in the library. It's a rule." Lucy groaned and followed her cat. I trailed behind her and we saw a man with blue hair, stroking Petunia's head. He looked up and was surprised to have seen me.
"Natsu, is that you?" That voice. It was very familiar.
"Jellal?" Jellal's eyes widened. He stopped petting Petunia and went to give me a really big hug. He probably missed me. After all, it has been about six years.
"I haven't seen you, since we were fourteen! How have you been?" Jellal asked as he made me sit down on one of the chairs.
"I'm going on a little adventure. I stopped here to get some rest. I forgot that you were the king here."
"Did you forget that my parents were once the former rulers of Sorciere? It couldn't have been that long." Jellal and I chuckled. We were really great friends back then. When we were younger, the first time I met Jellal was when his parents decided to have him stay at my palace for a couple of years. He didn't really talk to me all that much. Over time, however, we began to talk more and got to know each other.
Two years went by really fast. Jellal needed to report back to the kingdom immediately. There were news that his parents had been killed and they needed a new ruler. It was him that took the throne when he was sixteen. I never saw him again until now.
"Jellal, I'd like you to meet Lucy. We're traveling together," I said as I showed him to her. Jellal gently grabbed Lucy's hand and planted a short kiss. From the corner of my eye, I could see a tiny blush on her face. It made me a bit angry for some reason.
"Pleasure to meet you, I'm Jellal Fernandes."
"Pleasure to meet you too," Lucy said. Jellal smiled and looked over to see my angry and frustrated face. I quickly hid it with my smile.
"Natsu, can I talk to you in private?" Jellal requested. I looked over at Lucy and she nodded her head in approval. Jellal dragged me near the windows and away from Lucy. He had a serious expression on and I could tell that there something on his mind.
"Is everything alright, Jellal?" Jellal shook his head. There was a faint blush on his cheeks as he scratched his head.
"How's... Erza?" He asked with hesitance. I covered my mouth, but I couldn't keep it in as I made a loud snort. Jellal was always interested in Erza. It was probably because she was the only girl who could talk to him. She was actually the first person Jellal talked to when he moved to my castle.
"She's fine. She was able to help me escape from the castle." Jellal gave me a confused look.
"You have no idea what's going on with Gray and Erza, do you?" I didn't know how to respond. They should be fine. They did risk their lives for me, but they couldn't have been captured. They're too smart for that.
"Are they okay?" Jellal looked away from me and pointed at a familiar cliff. Come to think of it, this was the cliff that Aquarius said her sister, Virgo, was. Why would Jellal show me the same exact cliff as Aquarius did?
"Natsu... I'm afraid to tell you that Erza and Gray are going to jump off that cliff in two days..."

Next Update: Sooner than you think!
Yeah, but I may be lying. I don't really keep promises very well. Hopefully, I do keep my word and remember to update. Anyway, summer vacation is going great! I did some swimming, ice skating, and I'm going to Legoland like right now, so I should be going!
