The Offering-Harla
Her eyes twitched.
Her fists shook.
Her wings trembled.
A low growl started up in her throat as she stared at the young couple in front of her.
Carla had just hurried into Fairy Tail after waking up late. She was already cranky, but her anger billowed into a hurricane when she saw that little Natsu-Dragneel wannabe talking to Wendy, HER best friend. Carla glared at the purple-haired boy as he smiled at Wendy. Wendy blushed and pecked the stupid boy's cheek. Carla nearly screamed with rage. The whole guild cowered away from the small cat as she started to stomp towards the young couple, fury radiating off her in waves. Well, all except for a blue cat who scampered up to Carla, oblivious to her anger.
"Carla? Do you want some fish?" Happy blushed as he offered the fish to Carla. 'I'll get her to accept it this time!' He thought.
Carla turned her head to face Happy.
"Tom cat..." She seethed. In addition to the stupid purple headed boy trying to seduce HER Wendy, the idiotic Tom cat DARE ask her if she wants fish?
"Yes, Carla?" Happy said eagerly, shoving the limp fish in her direction as Carla wrinkled her nose in disgust. 'She wants to talk to me? She usually just rejects me!'
"For the last time, I DON'T want your disgusting fish! Don't EVER OFFER IT TO ME AGAIN! Better yet, don't ever TALK TO ME AGAIN!" Carla screamed as the hurricane churned furiously. The whole guildhall fell silent at the little female cat's harsh rejection. Carla couldn't help but feel her gut twist in guilt as the tom cat trudged away with a depressed aura. But Carla didn't have time for guilt now. She pushed those feelings away and started towards Wendy, who was staring at her angrily.
"Wendy...you're coming with me, right now!"
"Oh, uh bye Wendy," Carla heard the boy squeak out. She turned her glare to him and he shut up. Her dismay only increased when she realized that Wendy was blushing and meekly waving back to him and Carla dragged her out of the guild.
"Carla! We talked about this before! You can't be so mean to our guild members! They're our family now!"
Carla felt quite ashamed at Wendy's disappointed expression.
"But Wendy, the stupid purple-haired idiot-"
"His NAME is Romeo!"
Carla looked up in surprise. Wendy hardly raised her voice, least likely to Carla.
"His name is Romeo," Wendy whispered again, "And I like him." The blue-haired girl's voice cracked and Carla noticed that tears had welled up in her companion's eyes.
For the first time in a while, Carla was speechless. "What?" She mumbled. By this time, tears had slipped out of Wendy's eyes. Carla sighed and patted the girl's back. "Honestly, Wendy! I suppose I will try to be nicer to him, for you." Wendy beamed through her tears and hugged Carla tightly.
"Really Carla? Thank you!" Carla couldn't help the small smile that etched itself across her mouth. The pair walked back to the guild together when Wendy spoke up again. "Oh yeah, Carla, you should apologize to Happy! He looked very dejected after you yelled at him." Carla remembered the tom cat and felt the same sting of guilt.
"Hmph. He probably won't try to offer me the disgusting fish now." Carla grimaced at how sad her voice sounded when she talked about the male cat. Wendy giggled.
"Do you like Happy, Carla?"
"No! Of course not! I could never like such a silly male cat!" Carla shouted as they entered the guild hall again. The female exceed immediately put her paw over her mouth when she realized that the Tom cat had heard her words of him, as he was standing in front of the door, waiting for her to come back. The guilt flared up in her again as the male exceed had a depressed aura again. After a moment however, the male cat shook off his aura and offered Carla something in his paw.
"S-Since you didn't seem to like the fish, I got you something else." Carla's mouth dropped open as she starred at the pink cupcake in Happy's hand. 'He... He isn't going to give up on me?' She slowly took the treat from his his paw. Happy's eyes widened as she smiled at him.
"Thank you, Happy. I suppose I don't despise you that much now."
"I-I, yeah, I mean s-sure of course anytime," Happy stuttered. Carla turned quickly, though not fast enough for Happy to not notice the blush dusting her cheeks. Not a second after Carla turned, a thump echoed through the guild hall as Happy fainted.
Tbh I don't think Carla would even like cupcakes but you nah whatever
