Sick Day (Stingyu)
It was a relatively quite day at the Saber Tooth guild. Sting was in in his office doing paperwork- or more like starring at it waiting for Yukino or Rogue to do it for him.
"Hey Rogue, where's Yukino? Did she go on mission or something?" Sting asked walking out of his office around noon. Usually she'd come and help him file papers, and he missed the celestial mage's company.
Rogue looked around and shrugged. "I don't think she has come in today." He said
"Fro thinks so too!" The adorable cat exclaimed.
Sting grinned, seeing a chance to escape his duties. "Rogue, finish my paperwork! I'm gonna check on Yukino!" He cried, making a mad dash to the exit.
Rogue growled. "He always ditchs his responsibilities as master." He walked to the office and opened the door. "OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!" Rogue yelled, seeing Sting hadn't even started the paperwork.
Sting ran up the street Yukino lived on. In his mind it had taken much longer to reach the celestial mage's apartment than usual. The dragon slayer was actually really worried for Yukino.
Sting climbed up to the living room window and crawled through. looking around he voiced his thoughts. "It's really dark in here..." Sting walked into Yukino's bed room to see if she was in there.
As he entered the room, he heard a fit of coughing come from under the covers. Yukino was facing away from Sting. He walked to her bedside and placed his hand on the girls shoulder.
"Yukino?" Sting whispered.
She slowly turned over and opened her eyes. "S-Sting-Sama!" She cried, pulling the covers up to her eyes. "Wh-wh...I-I..."
Sting sighed. "You don't have to add "Sama" to my name all the time, Yuki." Sighing, he laid Yukino back down. He grinned. "I'll take care of you, so get some rest."
"S-sorry...a-and it isn't necessary for you to take care of me." She mumbled with a red face.
"You're sick, and I'm taking care of you. End of story." He said.
Sting walked out of the room to grab a wet rag for Yukino. He didn't know what had possessed him to willingly care for his sick friend. Whenever Rogue got sick Sting would laugh, and annoy him, but with Yukino he wanted to help her get well and hear her sweet giggles again.
Sting opened the closet door. He took out a rag and wet it. Walking back, Sting began to think of something Minerva had said about him and Yukino. Something about love? Yeah, she said that Sting and Yukino were obviously in love, but they were just to dense to reallize it.
Sting gently placed the rag on Yukino's forehead. "Don't get up, Yuki. I'll fix you something to eat."
Sting looked for some pots and pans and some ingredients for soup. It seemed his mind wanted to keep wondering to the girl sick in the other room. How her name slid off his tongue. Was Minerva right? Was he in love with her? That would explain the warm feeling he got around Yukino, and why he acted differently around her, he thought to himself.
Sting snapped out of his trance and took the pot of off the stove. "I love Yuki..." He mumbled, with disbelief as he poured soup in a bowl.
Sting entered Yukino's bedroom once again and offered her the soup.
Yukino blushed, and took the bowl Sting had for her. "Thank you...I'll make it up to you..." She whispered in a horse voice.
Sting gently patted her head. "Don't worry about it." He smiled lovingly at her. "I'm paying you back. You're always helping me with my duities as master, and you never ask for anything in return...I don't know what is do without you Yuki." He breathed out softly.
Yukino blushed once more.
Sting stayed by Yukino until she finished her soup and drifted back to sleep. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "I love you Yuki..." He smiled. 'I'll tell you how I feel properly when your better.' He thought to himself as he left her apartment.
Finally! I finished another oneshot! It's a lot harder to write when you're in highshool, and I'm homeschooled. The authors on this site who go to public schools and can still update are honestly amazing. Thanks for reading.
