"Okay Natsu,"  a young Erza said holding a stick. "If I give you three cats then later I give you three more cats how many do you have?"

"Seven" Natsu said.

"NO! Let's try this again.  If you get three cats, and then another three cats later how many do you have?"

"Seven"

Erza smacked Natsu with the stick.  "Let's try this problem with something else.  If I give you three apples then you get three more how. Many. Do. You. Have?"

Natsu began to count his fingers.  It appeared he was thinking hard. "Thirteen." He said.

Erza was furious. "WHAT IS THREE PLUS THREE DUMBASS?!" She yelled.

Natsu cowered away. "S-six!"

"THEN HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET SEVEN AND THIRTEEN!?"

"I have seven apples at home already, and you forgot about happy." Natsu grinned.

Erza sighed "...obviously I'll have to explain how these problems are supposed to work..."

And this was how it went while Erza was trying to educate Natsu.
