I'll Never Forget You... My Angel... (Natsu X OC)

Sakura Tenshi...  Cheerful, kind helpful and full of life. They were the words to describe her with. She was 19 years old. She had jet black hair that reached down to her knees, but it was always tied into a plaited half moon pony tail. She also had beautiful purple eyes that sparkled. She came to Fairy Tail not long ago in a short, white silky dress and was very week, not able to control her magic well, but all that has changed. She is a strong girl, who wears  a white high collar tank top with black lines, a short black skirt that had white lines as well as black combat boots and black finger-less gloves. She is very strong, always happy, sometimes has her crazy moments and was loved by the entire guild. Was. She is now dead and everyone in the guild is crying.

"Sakura..." Lucy cried. "This is all my fault..."

What happened you ask? It all happened a few days ago. Sakura was sat in the guild with a nice glass of water, minding her own business, when Natsu Dragneel, her best friend, and crush, ran up to her with a job.

"Sakura! Sakura! Look! Look! Look! Look! We have a new job!" He said.

"That's nice Natsu." She smiled. "Enjoy your mission." She said. Natsu pouted.

"C'mon Sakura, can't you take a hint? I said we." He said.

"You mean you and me?" Sakura asked.

"Yes! We haven't been on a mission since you collapsed with that headache of yours." Natsu grumbled.

"Well it has been a long time since we've been on a job together." Sakura said as she started to think.

"I know right! Me you and Happy! Let's go!" Natsu said.

"Hold on a second." Sakura said. Natsu looked at her. "Lucy comes too."

"What? Why? I just wanted it to be us three like it was for three weeks before your head!" Natsu whined.

"Lucy needs money to pay for her apartment. Hey! Luce!" Sakura shouted.

"Yeah?" Lucy asked as she walked to them.

"Natsu has a question for you." Sakura said.

"What is it?" Lucy asked as she looked at Natsu.

"Do you want to come on a job with us?" He asked. "Please say no." He grumbled.

"Sure. I need to pay for my apartment. The rent will need paying soon." Lucy said.

"Great." Sakura smiled and Natsu's jaw dropped. He then sat in a corner with a gloomy aura.

"I wanted it to be us three like it used to be when you first came..." He grumbled.

"What's with him?" Lucy asked.

"Oh, ignore him, he's just being Natsu. Come on, let's go and pack. We can leave tomorrow." Sakura smiled as she stood up, linked arms with Lucy, and walked out of the guild smiling.

"Ok!" Lucy smiled. Her aura... Her smile... Her laugh... Everything about her could make the mos miscible person, smile and feel happy.

"What's wrong Natsu? The plan of getting Sakura alone failed?" Happy asked as he flew down from wherever he appeared from.

"Yeah, she invited Lucy along." Natsu pouted.

"Well I can preoccupy Lucy while on the job! You just worry about completing the job and confessing to Sakura!" Happy said. 

"Thanks pal." Natsu smiled as the two fist bumped.

The Next Day...

Sakura and Lucy were outside the train station, talking about random stuff when Natsu and Happy ran to them.

"Hey guys!" Natsu shouted.

"Hey Natsu! Hey Happy!" Sakura smiled with a big wave. The two walked to Natsu and Happy to save them from running/flying the entire way.

"You guys ready for our job?" Lucy asked.

"Aye! Let's go on the train Lucy!" Happy said as he started to push Lucy towards the train.

"Hey! Happy! Stop pushing me!" Lucy shouted.

"What's with Happy? He's acting strange." Sakura said.

"Oh, you know, he just wants to finish the job quickly so he can go buy fish for Carla. C'mon Sakura! Let's go!" Natsu said as he started to push Sakura towards the train.

"There's a fish shop not far from here he could quickly get her something from." Sakura said.

"Nope. No time. The train could leave any minute!" Natsu said as he pushed Sakura onto the train. They saw Lucy and Happy sitting down. When Lucy saw them, she smiled and wave.

"Hey guys! Over here!" Lucy shouted.

"Hey!" Sakura shouted as she started to walk towards Lucy, but then Natsu stopped her and pulled her to some other seats.

"Let sit here!" He said.

"What about Happy and Lucy?" Sakura asked.

"Happy said he wants to ask Lucy something in private." Natsu said.

"Ok..." Sakura said as she sat opposite Natsu.

"What's with them? Why are they sitting over there?" Lucy asked.

"Let me explain. Sit down." Happy said as he sat on the table. Lucy then sat down. "Natsu wanted this to just be him and Sakura so we planned for me to suddenly become 'ill' while they go on a mission. On the way back from the mission, Natsu will confess to Sakura how he feels about her, but then Sakura wanted to invite you because you needed to pay rent for your apartment." Happy explained.

"Oh my gosh, if I knew, I wouldn't have accepted. Maybe we can quickly think of an excuse." Lucy said, but then the doors shut and the train started to move.

"Too late." Happy said with a -_- face.

"Oh man." Natsu said as he started to feel sick and hold his stomach.

"Are you alright Natsu?" Sakura asked.

"Train, moving... Make this nightmare stop." He cried.

"Try going to sleep." Sakura said.

"Ok." Natsu said as he leaned his head against the window and closed his eyes, but then the train bumped, making him hit his head.

"Natsu!" Sakura gasped as a huge bump appeared on his head.

"Ow. That hurt." He said. Sakura covered her mouth and then started to laugh. "Hey! Stop laughing at me!" Natsu shouted, but then he covered his mouth and held his stomach. He then ran to a rest room.

"Oh dear." Sakura said with a sigh.

Hours later...

The train finally stopped and they got off. Natsu felt 1000% back to normal, well, er, Natsu and they walked to the person who sent the request. Apparently there's been a monster in the lake near the woods which came out at night and attacked the people of the town.

"So where should we start first?" Sakura asked.

"Maybe the lake. Check out the area if we don't see anything, check into an inn and wait until night." Natsu said. All of a sudden, Sakura jumped on Natsu's back and pulled his cheek.

"Look at you taking charge." She giggled.

"Sakuwa! Stowp that!" Natsu said and Sakura laughed. Lucy smiled at the two and Happy snickered. They soon got to the woods and walked through the trees, keeping their guard up, just in case something was going to jump out at them. As they got deeper, it got darker.

"I can't see a thing!" Lucy said.

"Neither can we." Happy said.

"I've got this." Sakura smiled. She clapped her hands and a light orb appeared. When they smiled and looked at her, their smiles went and they looked pale. "Now, where is that lake?" Sakura asked. She then looked at the others. "What?"

"S-S-S-Sakura!" Lucy screamed as she pointed behind Sakura. Sakura turned around and went pale. A monster, with no skin on it's face, just a skull, was standing right behind her. 

"Ah!" She screamed as she started to run. Lucy and Natsu ran with her while Happy flew.

"Where did that come from!?" Lucy asked, shouting.

"It must have been following us!" Natsu shouted.

"We need to get out of here, but I can't see any light to show us an exit!" Sakura shouted. She then sighed. "I'm going to reveal something you can't tell anyone at the guild!" She said.

"Alright!" The two said. Angel wings came out of Sakura's back. All three mages/exceed eyes went wide. Sakura picked up Natsu, Lucy and Happy and then started to fly up.

"Ah!" Lucy screamed.

"Don't scream! You'll put me off and we'll go into a-!" Sakura was then put off as they hi a tree and fell down to the ground. "Tree..." She said.

"Ah!" Lucy screamed. The monster had grabbed her and was taking her away.

"Lucy!" Natsu, Happy and Sakura shouted. They then got up and ran after them.

"So you're an angel?" Happy asked.

"Yes. I was sent down to look over Fairy Tail by God." Sakura explained.

"You mean the old man in the sky is real?" Natsu asked and then thunder started to go through the sky.

"Does that answer your question?" Sakura asked.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Happy asked.

"I wasn't supposed to tell anyone! I'm sorry!" Sakura said. She then looked forward and her eyes went wide. Lucy was pushed to the ground and the monster had a sword. It was about to stab Lucy with it. "No!" She shouted. Suddenly, the energy from Natsu and Happy went and the two fell to the ground while Sakura got faster and went in front of Lucy. She then then stabbed in the stomach.

"SAKURA!" Lucy screamed. Sakura started to fall and Lucy caught her. "No! Sakura!" She cried.

"Sak..ura..." Natsu said as he started to crawl to them. "Fire dragon... roar..." He said weakly. A little fire came out of his mouth and shot at the monster, making it go into a tree. He and Happy then got to Sakura.

"No! Come on Sakura! Stay with us!" Lucy cried. She was losing too much blood.

"This can't happen... You're an Angel..." Natsu said.

"I broke a rule..." Sakura said.

"What rule?" Lucy asked.

"Falling in love with a mortal... Natsu..." She said. Natsu's eyes went wide. 

"No..." He said as tears fell down his face. "This can't happen!" He shouted. Sakura weakly put her hand on Natsu's cheek.

"It's alright Natsu. It's fine... I'll be ok... God might accept me back... Just don't cry..." Sakura said.

"You can't leave me like this!" Natsu shouted.

"I'm going to give you, what remaining power I have left..." Sakura said. A light went from her and around Natsu. Sakura then closed her eyes and her arm dropped.

"No! She's dead." Lucy cried.

"SAKURA!" Natsu screamed. He heard some noises. He looked and saw the monster get up. Natsu then stood up. "You... I'll kill you!" He screamed as he ran at the monster with a fire dragon fist at the ready. Before the monster could react, Natsu had punched it in the gut, making it go into a tree, smashing others in the process. Natsu then appeared above of it and shot fire at it through his mouth. He then finished the monster off by going into dragon force and doing a Hidden Fire Form - Crimson Lotus Flame: Phoenix Blade. After he finished the monster off, he started to pant heavily. He then looked at the crying Lucy and Happy and the lifeless Sakura. He walked to them and knelled down.

"Natsu... I'm so, so sorry." Lucy cried. Sakura started to glow. Their eyes went wide as a spirit of Sakura exited her body. She had Angel Wings, a halo and wore the same dress she wore when she first came to the guild.

"Saku...ra..." Natsu said.

"Natsu... Lucy... Happy... Please don't cry... I'm going back to where I belong." She said.

"You belong with us!" Lucy shouted.

"I'm sorry Lucy... Please don't cry over me... Lucy, when you return to the guild, tell them everything and tell them, not to cry, not to be sad, but to be happy. Think of the good times." Sakura said.

"I will. I will Sakura!" Lucy cried.

"Natsu..." Sakura said as she put her hand on Natsu's head and smiled at him. He looked at her. "Don't cry Natsu... Be the Natsu I know and love... Natsu Dragneel Of Fairy Tail." Sakura said.

"Please don't go..." He said.

"I'm sorry... I have to go..." Sakura said as she started to fly up, but then Natsu managed to grab her spiritual hand. 

"NO! You can't go! I... I love you too much!" Natsu cried. Sakura flew back down and gave Natsu a ghost kiss on his lips. 

"Good bye..." She said as she flew up to the sky.

"I'll never forget you Sakura!" Natsu shouted.

And that's how it happened... Sakura Tenshi, age 19, an angel, fairy tail member and guardian angel to fairy tail, died... The entire guild was morning over the death of the angel. They will never forget how she brought a smile on their faces.

2 years later...

Natsu was standing in front of a grave which had the name, Sakura Tenshi on it.

"It's been awhile Sakura... 2 years... I miss you..." He said. He placed some flowers down and looked at the grave. He then started to walk away. "I'll never forget you... My Angel..." He said.

"And I will never forget you, my fire breath friend." Natsu's eyes went wide as he looked at the grave. Sakura... As a spirit angel, was sat on the grave.

"Sakura!"

"My favorite flowers. How sweet." She smiled. Natsu ran to her with wide eyes. 

"You're back!"

"I'm breaking a lot of rule Natsu. I just came to say, I love you and always will... I will return someday, trust me." She smiled before disappearing.

"Sakura!" Natsu shouted, but she was gone. He then fell to his knees and hit the ground while crying. "Sakura!" He screamed as tears came down his face.

"I will never forget you, Natsu Dragneel..." She said.

The End...
