Her eyes adjusted to the time on the digital clock. The red digits seemed to be mocking her as she read 11:45.

The bed springs sprung back into place as the weight next to her left the bed.

Every night. Every night this month her boyfriend would do this. Sneak out of bed at 11:45 then come back at 2 am smelling of vanilla and roses and warp his arm around her.

Vanilla and roses.

The sent of her English partner. The girl who sits across the room to her in maths. One of her big sister's best friends. The blonde beauty every guy wanted to date.

Lucy Heartfilia. The girl her boyfriend was in love with.

Now you may think she was overreacting, there could be millions of girls with that smell, or mabey there's a different reason to why he comes home with perfume on.

But the youngest Strauss sibling had ran every possible scenario over in his head and none of them sounded like something Natsu would be doing 5 minutes before midnight.

There was no changing the fact, her boyfriend was cheating on her. She had come to that conclusion long before she even realized who it was with.

What a horrible situation to find yourself in.

No matter what part you play, it's akward and shameful.

If your the cheater, you'll be full of regret and self-loathing. You'd think of your self as a coward for not even having the guts to break up with your original girlfriend.

If you the one he cheats on his girlfriend with or 'the side chick', you have to live with the fact that the cheater might not really like you. He has a girlfriend allready to do all that mushy lovey stuff with, while your just a booty-call.

If your the one who got cheated on, often refered to as 'the victim', you know that everytime he's not with you, there's a chance he's sticking his tounge down some random person's throat.

Honestly it was a stupid Idea, Lisanna knew it the moment her feet touched the floor, But no matter how much her mind protested, she still followed the salmon haired boy out of the building.

She tiptoed along the dim pathway, always staying a few feet behind him, until eventually they reached a large mansion.

She quickly hid behind a large oak tree when she saw a window on the top floor open.

There stood a blonde girl with shining brown eyes and angelic face. Really, how could Lisanna blame him for chosing her?

"Natsu!" Her whisper sounded like a faint song. Her face glowed as she smiled down at him. He looked back up at her with a look that confirmed  all of Lisanna's suspicions.

All of a sudden everything hit her like a truck, depression weighing down on her like a bag of bricks.

Before there had always been the chance that she was making it up in her head, That it couldn't possibly be true. Now she realized, every 'I love you' he said to her was directed at Lucy. Every compliment he gave her, felt like his way of saying 'Lucy can still do it better'.

Before she knew it, a familiar damp feeling washed down her cheeks. Tears gushed out of her dull eyes as every word he ever said to her morphed into something he could say to Lucy that would be ten times sweeter.

She couldn't stand it any longer.

She ment emotionally but apparently she couldn't stand it physically anymore either.

Her knees buried into the ground below the tree and her white knuckles layed beside them.

After what felt like forever, she got to her feet. She looked behind her one last time before making her decision.

She saw that Lucy had climbed down somehow and there they stood, surrounded by roses, too involved in each other to have a care in the world with their lips locking together in slow passion.

That made up her mind. Tomorrow she would break up with Natsu herself and they would finally be completely happy.

"Goodbye Natsu, I don't want you to have to stay loyal to someone that you probably don't have a future with."

"Lis..."

She didn't want to hear a lame apology. She wanted to leave, move back in with her sister and clean up the mess he'd made of her.

"I'm not going to tell anyone about Lucy. Let's just say we grew apart... that's partially true anyway, huh?" She gave a sniff and shut the door behind her.

She never heard much from the couple again.

She ran into Lucy or Natsu at her Natalie's (her daughter's) school a few times.

Plus, she had called Natsu to pick up his son once, after finding Natalie and Igneel in her living room, kissing.

But apart from that?

She hadn't really had a proper conversation with the pair in years and, unsurprisingly, she didn't really mind it that much...

890 words! This is probably one of my longest chapters ever! Anyways I tried my best to make everyone a good guy in this story but it's really hard to show Natsu in a good way when he's the cheater...
