Just to make it clear, in this story, Romeo and Wendy are not too young to like each other.  They are both in their early twenties in this one.  As in Romeo is twenty-three, and Wendy is twenty-one.  

    Now on with the story...

      Romeo drives to the local market.  He goes inside to purchase some lettuce, spinach, carrots, figs, grapes, strawberries, bread, cheese, eggs, and milk.   He accidentally bumps into a young lady he has not seen in a while.  He watches in horror as she falls down flat on her face.

    Wendy is in the same place as Romeo.  She too is after a few groceries.  She looks around for some chocolate when someone knocks into her and she trips.  She feels awkward as she hits her face by accident.  She hears a familiar voice pipe up,  "Wendy Marvel is that you?  I have not seen you in ages!"

     Wendy stands up and reaches for the peaches she lost grip of in the fall.  She looks up to see the owner of the voice.  She gasps when she recognizes him as none other than Romeo her crush!  Whoa, as if things were not a mess already as it is for her!  She smiles.  "H-Hi, R-Romeo!  I have not seen you in years!"

    "What brings you here?"  Romeo asks as he helps her pick up the fruit.  He does not wait for an answer as he feels his face form a blush across it.  He hands her the last peach as their hands' touch. 

    "I thought that should be obvious!  I came here to buy a few food supplies just as you did Romeo."   Wendy says.

   "Ah, I see!  It was great to see you again!"  Romeo says.

   "Yes, well, it was nice to see you too!" Wendy remarks.

   " By the way do you have plans tonight?"  Romeo ask.  He thinks that perhaps, he was not too blunt to ask such a thing.  After all, he was the one to knock her down.  It is not as if he should expect her to want to spend time with him just because they happen to be in the same market place that day.  

   Much to his surprise, Wendy grins!  She tucks a stray hair behind her left ear and manages to reply,  "I  am not busy.  I was just about to go have a typical single person's dinner and reruns of  Gunsmoke.  Then I was gonna sip some lemonade and watch Jeopardy!" 

    Romeo laughs.  "Oh, well then, in that case, would you be okay with my place instead for the meal?  We could still watch the Gunsmoke reruns if you wish.  We could even have the lemonade!   It just so happens I made a fresh batch this morning!" Romeo remarks.

    "Sure, that would be great!  However, I would need to go to my place to put away my stuff first.  Plus, I have no idea where you live!"  Wendy states.

    "Oh, here is my address!"  Romeo says as he hands her a notecard with his name and address written across it.

     "Wow, thanks!  Oh, and here is my number!"   She hands him a slip of paper with her name and phone number on it. 

     "Thanks, Wendy!" 

    "Your welcome!  Well, see you later!"  

          She gets back to her list.  She finds the other items in no time. She gets to the register and pays for the items. She heads on home after she gets them into her car.  She arrives at her apartment in about fifteen minutes as she does not live far from the food place.

      She parks her car, gets out, closes the door, gets the goods out of the trunk, carries them inside, puts them away, and changes out of work clothes.  She puts on a black dress with pink flower prints on it, a black hairband, and pink shoes.  Finally, she adds a few accessories such as a pair of pink flamingo earrings, and a pink bracelet.  

    Now, she is in her car and on the way to Romeo's.  She is stuck in the traffic light but does not mind the wait.  She feels a bit nervous about this.  She is not sure why she has been the one to crush on him for years!  It is just like she is not sure what to expect as it been a while since her last date. 

     To add fuel to the fire so to speak, the last guy she went out with left her for his ex-girlfriend once they made up from the fight they had.  So, with that said, she was not sure what kind of circumstances to find herself in when she gets there.  Is this just a friend hang out, or is it a date?  Wendy recalls Romeo did not really say!  She sighs.

   As the light turns green, she turns right. She goes down the roadways and turns left, then another left, two more left, a right, and finally she finds herself on the street he supposedly lives on now only to find the house number.  She gasps when she spots it!  She did know he was this rich!  
   

   Goodness, his place is a two-story mansion, with a fountain, and two swimming pools out front, then there is a nice garden full of vegetables, an apple orchard, a pear orchard, a cherry orchard, and a nice back porch.  She is not sure which door to enter.   

     Wendy goes to the back door and rings the doorbell.  Someone opens it and looks at her with annoyance in their eyes. 

    "Ugh, my brother never told me he was about to have a guest over!  Good thing, I already have a date with Loke tonight then!"  Lisanna says.  She waits until Wendy steps inside, then heads out the same door with her purse over her left shoulder.  The same girl, hopes on a motorcycle, fastens her helmet, and drives away to meet up with her boyfriend!

    Wendy continues on until she sees the living room. She sits down on the sofa.  She finds it to be quite cozy as hers is all but worn out.  Too bad, she can not afford to replace it yet.  She takes a look around her in amazement.  This place is even bigger now than she could ever begin to describe even in her wildest dreams!   

    Romeo sees Wendy!  He smiles as he approaches her!  He can not believe she actually came!  For a while there he thought that maybe she would change her mind and decide to stay home. He is glad that she did not though.

   "Wendy!"  

    "Romeo!" 

         Wendy follows Romeo into the kitchen. She sits down. She smiles when she sees the meatless lasagna, garlic bread, and salad.  For dessert, she can smell a cherry cake with a fudge swirl.  She can hardly wait to dig into this delicious feast!  

       Romeo says the blessing.  Now, he just stares at her as he eats.  Wendy does not mind. She admits she glances over him quite a bit too.  It is not she can help it.  She is in his house after all!  The man she swoons over in private many times.  She feels rather silly at where her thoughts take her.

       After the meal, and dessert, the two go to sit on the sofa.  Romeo is next to Wendy.  He places an arm around her.  He thinks, wait a minute!  Why is it she does not shove my arm away?  Is this the same woman I  saw earlier today?   Could she really be the same person?

      Wendy smiles as he turns on the tv.  They watch a few reruns of Gunsmoke together.  Then, they just sit around in silence.  Each enjoys the others company. 

     Romeo removes his arm and reaches over to move a loose hair behind her ear when his eyes meet hers.  He suddenly feels drawn to her. He cups her chin in his hands.  

     He hears her sigh as he asks, "Wendy, how can such a beautiful and kind person be so lonely?  How can you be in such pain?"  He lets go and she starts to say something, but as she speaks scoots closer to the edge of the furniture.

    Suddenly without any warning,  Wendy falls off the couch and with a thud lands on the rug in front of it.  She winces in pain.  Her ankle hurts now. 

     Romeo, slides off to examine her ankle, when his forehead touches hers, his nose meets her own and her lips are only inches away.  He can feel her breath nearby.  He can sense she wants more of him, but what could it be?  He is not too sure how it happens now, but he finds himself on her lap as she tries to move.  As she attempts to move out from under him, she ends up with her lips across his.  It is an accidental kiss!

      Romeo steadies her to assure her all is well when he feels her lips touch his!  He looks at her in surprise. He sees her tears and blush.  He lets go of her arms, and reaches up, and places a hand under her chin the other on her cheek.  He knows it might be a mistake, but it is now or never.  He returns the kiss.   As he does she begins to relax, and she moans a bit too.

    Romeo releases her!  He speaks,  "I am s-sorry, I never meant to make you u-uncomfortable!"  

    Wendy laughs.  "It is okay, really!  I gave you a kiss even it was not intentional, so I suppose it is okay that you gave me one b-back and..."  "Shh, Wendy, d-do not talk!" Romeo says.  With that, he pulls her close, kisses her again this time with more passion than the first kiss!

     "W-wow!"  Wendy states.  She thinks it amazing that he should kiss her like this! 

    "Yeah, I know. I just love you!"

    "I love you, too!"  Wendy remarks, as he wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him again.
