22. The Sleepover Pt 1
"What are they? 12? Why are they having a damn sleepover?" Gray growled with frustration as he fell face first onto his bed.
"Juvia thinks its a good idea." His blue haired wife interjected. Juvia was packing her clothes into a suitcase. She contemplated whether to pack her husband's clothes but decided against it seeing as he'd probably lose them; that stripping habit of his still had yet to cease.
"But why our home? Couldn't they have picked Natsu's?" Gray said.
Juvia shook her head. "Natsu and Lucy have three little ones in their house to take care of. Having five more teenagers would just be overwhelming." She pointed out as if it was obvious... which it was. "And it was Ultear's idea."
Gray let out another frustrated growl. "Dammit, that girl." He cursed. "I don't see we have to go to a hotel." He added.
Juvia frowned as silence fell between the two. "You know..." She started slowly. Gray's eyes looked to her, his eyebrows still furrowed. "I thought you'd look forward to going to a hotel, we'll finally be in a place where no one will hear."
Gray raised a brow at his wife sceptically as he sat up. "Hear what?"
Juvia smiled at him ever so innocently and Gray's cheeks suddenly went a rosy colour.
He jumped to his feet. "You-You know what?" He yanked out some clothes from his closet and started to stuff them in a suitcase. "Maybe the sleepover isn't such a bad idea. The kids won't destroy the house."
___________
Nashi stuffed random clothes into her bag. Mainly the ones that smelt the most decent and unfortunately there wasn't many of them. Knowing how sleepovers concerning her friends often went, bringing a few spare changes of clothes was just common sense.
She really looked forward to going. The past few days had been stressful on her and she really needed an escape. What better way was there than having fun with your friends for one night?
When Nashi was ready, she sped her way down the stairs and towards the front door.
"I'M LEAVING!" Nashi called out on the top of her lungs. It was probably louder than necessary but she didn't really care; the same couldn't be said for the neighbours though.
"Have a good time sweetie!" She heard her mom yell back.
With that, Nashi raced out the door. The Fullbuster home wasn't that far away and she wanted to get there a little early so she could get dibs on the good snacks. To her surprise as she was walking, she caught sight of a certain half naked boy who she hadn't tormented in a while.
Using her very stealthy and efficient ninja skills, she quietly tip toed her way behind Storm. She inched closer and closer to him and he still hadn't noticed.
This is just too easy. Nashi thought to herself with a grin. She tackled Storm from behind.
"What the fu-" Storm cursed as him and Nashi tumbled onto the ground. He landed on his back hard and let out a pained groan.
"Ugh..." Nashi groaned. "I didn't expect that to hurt me." She held her head in her hands as she slowly sat up. Only when she opened her eyes did she realise she was on top of Storm with her legs on either side of his body. Her cheeks suddenly went red.
Storm sat up until their faces were inches apart. He glared at the pink haired girl before shoving her off him.
"KYAAA!" Nashi squealed. She fell face first into the ground.
"Why the hell did you do that?" Storm yelled.
Nashi groaned once again. "Well I thought it would be funny." She admitted rubbing her face now.
Storm rolled his eyes. "What in Mavis's name does Gale see you?" He grumbled to himself before getting on his feet and dusting himself off.
"What do you mean?" Nashi asked frowning at him. "What does this have to do with Gale?"
Storm let out a sigh. "You're so dense that it physically hurts me, Flame Brain." He shook his head. He started to walk away.
"I'm not dense." Nashi retorted running up next to him.
"Yes you are." Storm stated.
"I am not."
"You are."
"I am not."
"You are."
"I am not."
Storm stopped his tracks finally getting fed up. "Why are you following me?! I'm not in the mood for this shit especially with you, Flame Brain." He ranted, his face red with anger. "So can you just leave me alone?"
Nashi backed away a little but continued to walk in the same direction as Storm, eyeing him curiously. "You having Quinn problems? You're always so sensitive when it's about her." She speculated.
Storm growled. "This has nothing to do with her so stop following me." He seethed.
"I'm going to the sleepover at your house, stupid. I'm not following you on purpose or like to annoy you." Nashi said crossing her arms over her chest. "Although it actually is kinda fun annoying you." She shrugged.
"Wait..." Storm calmed down for a second. "What sleepover?"
"Ultear invited everyone to your house for a sleepover."
Storm face palmed. That was the first time he'd ever heard anything about a sleepover. "I swear she never tells me anything."

Hunter waited outside the Dreyar house with his hands in his pockets. He'd been there for twenty minutes waiting for Alexis to come out.
The sun had long since set so the sky was now pitch black with only the scattered light of the stars and the full moon illuminating the sky. It was a pretty view, Hunter thought to himself... but what would be even prettier to him in that moment would be some food. His stomach was already growling.
The door of the Dreyar home finally opened and out came Alexis dressed in pink short shorts and a white singlet. Her blonde hair was tied in a high ponytail that seemed to bounce every time she took a step. She had a giant bag slung over her shoulder and a small fluffy lavender coloured blanket in her hand.
"Oh good you're here." She said, her eyes practically lit up. She threw her bag at Hunter and the full force caused the wind to get knocked out of him.
Hunter wheezed. The bag was heavy as hell, it felt like he was carrying a tonne of bricks. "What the hell do you have in here? We're only there for one night."
"It's girl stuff that I'm planning on using tonight." Alexis simply answered with a devilish smirk on her face.
Something about that smirk made Hunter feel uneasy. She had something up her sleeve and his gut told him it wasn't good.
"Anyways, thanks for walking me to Storm and Ultear's house." Alexis said with a smile as the two started to make their way down the street.
Hunter shrugged slinging the bag over his shoulder. "No problem. You don't even know where their house is. Even if you did, it would be dangerous for you to be walking around at night by yourself." He said.
"Aw it's so cute that you care." Alexis pinched at Hunter's cheeks. Growling, he swatted her hands away. "I was hoping I could get your help with something, Hunter."
"Do I get a choice in the matter?"
Alexis was silent for a few moments thinking about her answer. "Nope." She said popping the p.
Hunter just rolled his eyes and let out a sigh. "Okay, what is it?"

Gale was running a little late thanks to Lily throwing a tantrum. The head of her favourite teddy bear had ripped completely off and she was a screaming and crying mess for a good two hours. Thanks to his mom being out and his dad being completely useless at comforting his daughter, Gale was left to calm Lily down and stitch her bear back together.
It was a struggle but he'd done it so now it was time to wind down and have some fun with his friends.
He walked into the Fullbuster house and into the living room where everyone was congregated in a circle. To his surprise, the room was pretty quiet.
Hunter was busy cleaning his sword. Alexis was playing with Storm's hair while he was dozing off and Nashi was staring at the ceiling. When Nashi saw Gale, her eyes immediately lit up.
"Took you long enough!" She called out. "Come sit next to me!" She eagerly patted the empty space next to her gesturing for him to sit there. Gale threw his bag to the side before taking the seat next to Nashi.
"Where's Ul?" Gale asked.
Storm jerked awake. "Probably somewhere killing any sign of joy like she did here." He commented sarcastically with a slight shrug.
"She went to go find board games down in the basement." Hunter answered. He held his sword in the air trying to see if it was polished enough. When it wasn't to his satisfaction, he began cleaning it once again. "That was twenty minutes ago."
"She said we're not allowed to touch the snacks until we finish at least one board game." Nashi pouted clutching onto her stomach. "It's like she forgot how to have fun."
Ultear burst in the room with a big stack of board games in her hands. She dumped them in the middle of the circle. "Okay guys, let's get this party started-"
"Ul, no offence but no one wants to play those outdated games." Gale said running his finger along one of the boxes. A heap of dust accumulated on his finger which meant no one had touched these for years.
Ultear sighed in frustration. "Well that's what we used to do when-"
"When we were little kids." Storm finished.
"I have an idea that could potentially be fun." Alexis suggested. All eyes were on her as they waited for her to continue. She stopped playing with Storm's hair and found her way to her bag. Rummaging through her bag, she pulled out a box. She held it out to everyone. "We're going to play Truth or Dare."
"Hmmm... Interesting." Nashi said.
"What's in the box though?" Hunter asked narrowing his eyes.
"Wax strips. If someone fails to do a dare or tell the truth, I will personally wax their eyebrows off or any other body part." Alexis explained as she grinned devilishly. "I bought this off a guy who enchanted them to hurt ten times worst than a normal wax strip." She added rather proudly.
"How did you even get your hands on those?" Ultear said with wide eyes.
Alexis closed her eyes and sighed. "Don't ask."
"How will you know if someone's telling the truth or not?" Gale asked. "Someone could just easily lie."
Alexis rubbed her hands together. "Hunter and I set up a magic barrier around the entire perimeter of this house that requires everyone to tell the truth or perform a dare. If you don't, you'll get zapped by lightning so strong that it matches the power of my dad's dragon roar... which I hear hurts a lot." She replied smugly as if she was proud of herself... which she was. "Don't ask me how I know how to do that 'cause I honestly don't know."
"Even the nice version of Alexis is a creepily good mastermind." Storm said. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad thing. In this instance though, he was leaning towards the bad side.
"It's not that I don't care about the game or anything but my stomach is kinda really rumbly so can I like... eat the snacks now?" Nashi interrupted.
"Go for it, Nashi." Ultear said with a sigh.
Nashi's eyes lit up as she raced to the kitchen. Hunter - who was also hungry but hid it much better than Nashi - quickly scurried to the food right behind her.
Gale frowned at Alexis. "You really thought out this game huh?" He said to which she nodded. "Why do I suddenly feel so scared?"
Alexis chuckled as she put her hand on Gale's shoulder. "You have nothing to worry about as long as you stick to the rules of the games." She said with her usual dazzling smile. "If you don't though..." Her smile faded and a somewhat dark aura started to emanate from her. She then looked back at Gale with her head tilted slightly to the side and a sinister grin spread across her lips. "You'll just get hurt really REALLY bad."
In that moment, some sliver of Alexis' old sadistic self was showing which made even Ultear gulp.
Tonight was not going to be easy.
