"His wounds were nothing serious. He will heal fast if he stays in this bed." Wendy said narrowing her eyes particularly at the dark teal haired boy who rolled his eyes. 

"Whatever, old lady." Gale hissed causing Wendy to frown. 

"I'm am not old, ungrateful brat. I just reached 30 not long ago!" She pinched at his cheeks and Gale struggled under her dragon-like grip.

"Suuureeeeeeee." Gale sneered.

"What the hell happened?" Gajeel growled at his son. It was no secret he was angry. Wendy retreated her torment and began to reanalyse Gale's many injuries.

"Gajeel! Calm down! He needs to rest." Levy scolded her husband with a smack to the head. 

Nashi, Storm and Hunter were in the room along with Master Laxus, Erza, Natsu and Gray. The door cracked open and Lucy entered the infirmary. 

"Lily is with the other kids." She assured allowing Levy to breath out in relief. She smiled at Lucy and nodded symbolising her thanks.

Laxus sighed. "Kid, tell us what happened." He commanded to Gale. Gale took a deep breath.

"It was supposed to be an easy mission. Petty thieves stealing some useless cargo from a warehouse. I didn't think it was much so I went alone." He confessed. He looked as if he was ashamed of himself. "I got to the warehouse and next thing I know..." Gale sighed. "I'm surrounded by these five dorks who ambushed me... and well you know, I ended up looking like this." 

Levy gulped as she clutched onto Gajeel's arm. Lucy did the same to Natsu. 

"What did these punks look like?" Storm interrupted. He was angry that his best friend had nearly been killed. Storm stepped forward but then his father grabbed his arm. 

"Control yourself." Gray stated. There was no room for argument. 

"Master, they mentioned Demon's Torment." Gale muttered with a serious tone. This caused everyone's eyes to widen. Hunter clenched his fists tightly while Laxus's aura darkened. "They were trying to get their hands on the wizard that created it. They tried to use me for information on the person. They obviously didn't know she's no longer with Fairy Tail."

Unwanted memories rushed back into Laxus's mind. The room was full of silence as they let Gale's words process in their minds. Nashi was first to speak up.

"Well, that means we have to find her doesn't it?" She questioned. Everyone looked at her. "We have to find Alexis."

"There's a possibility she might not want to be found." Natsu responded rubbing his neck with a defeated sigh. "She made it clear that she hated Fairy Tail last time we saw her."

"I will personally retrieve her." Hunter announced stepping forward. His face was stern as he clenched his jaw. 

Erza interjected, "You are not. Last time you encountered Alexis..." Her eyes lingered on the scar on her son's eye.

"Erza is right, I will not allow you to go after her." Laxus's voice was emotionless. Hunter glared at his Master. "It's too dangerous."

"You know what else is dangerous? Excommunicating a wizard struggling with her powerful magic instead of helping her control it." Hunter argued, snarling at Laxus. Laxus stayed silent; he wasn't sure what to say.

"I think the best thing to do is calm down, let Gale rest and sleep on it." Wendy interrupted trying to discreetly suppress the situation.

"Good choice, Aunt Wendy." Nashi added with a nervous chuckle. 

"Hunter. Outside. Now." Erza demanded, her aura was dark and terrifying. Hunter rolled his eyes, turned around and stormed out of the infirmary. Erza followed behind. 

"Hunter just rolled his eyes at Erza. Let's hope he lives to see tomorrow." Natsu said, a sympathetic look on his face.

"Laxus... are you alright? Alexis..." Lucy started but she couldn't bring herself to finish her sentence. The blond haired man's eyes were filled with grief. 

"I'll be in my office." Laxus muttered before exiting the room.

"It's like old wounds being ripped open for Laxus." Levy whispered. She put her hand on Gale's forehead causing him to raise a brow. "It's not easy for someone to excommunicate their own daughter."
