*Flashback - 2 years earlier*

The guild was eerily quiet. Everyone drank their booze quietly with miserable looks on their faces. The emotional wound of having a member nearly kill them and destroy the whole city was still fresh. The fact that she was nearly successful made it worse. The silence was broken when shouting came from the top floor.

"Just admit it, Hunter. Stop lying to me!"

"There was nothing going on between us!"

A flash of blue shined and the sound of ice crashing onto a wall echoed throughout the guild. Ultear came running down the stairs with tears brimming her eyes. She was heading for the door with a piece of paper clutched tightly in her grip. Storm jumped to his feet and stepped in her way.

"Ultear, where are you going?" He asked looking at her concerned. She cleared her throat avoiding eye contact with her little brother.

"I'm leaving. I just need to clear my mind." She replied. Storm snatched the paper from her hand and read over it. It was an S Class mission far far away from Magnolia. His eyes widened.

"Y- You can't!" He yelled. "Things are horrible right now. Fairy Tail needs you. Your family needs you... I need you here, Ul." His voice became quieter as his head lowered.

Storm was upset. He was traumatised. The Demon's Torment Spell was the worst thing that could've possibly happened. He'd probably never see his friend again and he didn't want to lose his sister at the same time.

Ultear swallowed hard. "I'm sorry, Storm." She said softly. She choked back a sob and ran through the guild doors.

She left.

She abandoned him.

*End of Flashback*

"Ultear! I'm so glad you're back." Nashi squealed giving wrapping her arms around the girl.

Storm, deciding he didn't want to be near his sister, got into his feet and walked away. Ultear watched on with a hurt expression.

When Ultear left the guild on that day, two years ago, she returned months later. She never stayed at the guild long and would leave again for an even longer time. Doing this, she unintentionally caused a rift in her sibling bond with Storm.

"Hey Gale." Ultear said ruffling the boy's dark real hair. Gale growled in annoyance and swatted her hand away.

"Did you really have to do that?" He snarled. Ultear disregarded his anger and hugged him. Gale tried his hardest but he couldn't help but smile. "Nice to see you too."

Ultear let go and turned to Hunter who had raised a brow at her. She cursed herself when the heat rose to her cheeks.

"Looking good, Ul." He said with a small smirk. Just as Ultear opened her mouth to respond, another voice cut in.

"Hi, I'm Alexis. Nice to meet you."

Ultear's eyes widened as she saw the blonde haired girl hold her hand out to her. Without a second of doubt, she pounced on Alexis who squealed at the sudden impact. Ultear pinned her to the ground.

Alexis gulped as razor sharp icicles pointed down at her. "U-um for whatever I did, I am deeply sorry. Just please don't kill me." She rambled closing her eyes and holding her hands up in surrender.

Ultear tilted her head in confusion, the icicles evaporating into the air. "Wait, what?"

Nashi, with the help of Gale, pulled Ultear off and to her feet. "Alexis is good now." Nashi told the Fullbuster.

Gale nodded his head in agrrement. "She's practically harmless now." He added. Ultear was too confused to even say anything. She watched on as Storm helped Alexis up onto her feet.

"Maybe if you were here, you would know that." Storm said with a hint of venom in his voice. While dusting herself off, Alexis spoke a soft 'Thank you' to Storm who just nodded. Ultear glared at her little brother, his attitude was beginning to annoy her. She clenched her fists by her side. She stayed like that for a few moments before sighing.

"I honestly don't care anymore." Ultear said. She glanced at Alexis for a second and saw a fragile and soft-spoken girl who liked dresses. That was no where near the person she had grown to despise. "I have to go talk to Gramps." Without another word, she disappeared to the Master's office.

"Who is she?" Alexis asked once the girl was out of sight. "She's crazy intimidating."

"That was my older sister, Ultear." Storm answered lowly. Alexis' eyes widened.

"She's actually really fun and cool, once you get to know her." Nashi interjected. She side-glanced Storm and shot him a sour look. "Some losers just don't appreciate that side of her." Storm just rolled his eyes ignoring the opportunity to argue with the pink haired dummy.

"What did I do to her?" Alexis asked. Gale, Storm and Nashi just shrugged.

"You were kinda mean to everyone so it's hard to narrow down any specifics." Gale explained slumping back on the stool. Alexis just frowned until she noticed Hunter. He hadn't even moved the entire time. She narrowed her eyes at him.

"You totally knew she was going to attack me, didn't you?" She said angrily. She sensed a sort of tension between Hunter and Ultear so she gathered that they knew each other pretty well. "You could've stop her."

"Payback for what you put me through, yesterday." Hunter replied simply.

"I said I was sorry!"

SORRY FOR THE SHORT-ISH CHAPTER! I actually had the chapter done a few days ago and then something happened to my account and it was all erased 😭😭 so I had rewrite the whole thing and that just put me off so it's short. Due to that, I did not edit (not like I do anyways 😂) Basically Storm is salty because Ultear abandoned him when he needed her.
