one - trouble in paradise
"This is the third time this week, Nashi." Principal Laxus Dreyar snarled as he glared daggers at the pink haired girl who sat across from him. It was no secret that he was furious. Sparks of electricity literally radiated from his fingertips.
"Principal Dreyar, it was an accident." Nashi chuckled nervously. Her knees were shaking as sweat dropped from her forehead.
Nashi was never one to be scared of teachers. She always found a way to get on their nerves and torment them but Principal Dreyar was a different story. He didn't take crap from any student and he wasn't afraid to electrocute them. Nashi had her fair share of lightning bolts and she wasn't a fan of them, to say the least.
Laxus crossed his arms over his chest. "So you're telling me, your fist accidentally collided with someone's face?" He asked never faltering his gaze into Nashi's onyx eyes.
"Y-Yup." Nashi stammered. "You're exactly right, I think it's muscle spasms." She added stretched out her arm as if it hurt.
Laxus shook his head and sighed. "This crap has to stop." He said sounding exhausted. "Another fight and you're out of the Magic Leagues for the rest of the year."
Nashi's eyes widened in shock and she jolted to her feet. "You can't do that! I trained so hard! This is year is my year to finally win!" She yelled as she slammed her hands onto the desk blinded by her sudden rage.
It took a few seconds before she realised what she had done. Small burn marks in the shape of her fingertips were now charred into Laxus' desk.
"Sorry." Nashi squeaked before planting herself down back on her seat. She avoided Principal Dreyar's gaze like her life depended on it. At this point in time, she was surprised she hadn't been electrocuted.
"Nashi, you're a talented fighter just like your parents were when they came to this school." Laxus said unusually calm. Nashi's eyes slowly looked up to him with heavy hesitation. "You need to learn to use your mind instead of your fists to solve your problems." His tone was gentle and soothing. "Also, you're one of my top Magic League Fighters so I can't afford to expel you and possibly risk you transferring to another school." He quickly added with a shrug.
Nashi's face palmed. He totally ruined the moment. "Is that all?" She asked.
"Yeah, you can leave." Laxus replied waving her off. Nashi rose to her feet immediately. "Try not to disappoint me, Dragneel."
Nashi turned to him and smiled widely. "Since when have I ever disappointed you, Dreyar?" She said clasping onto the doorknob and opening the door.
Laxus just rolled his eyes. "Only every day since you started at this school four years ago." He responded with an annoyed expression on his face.
Nashi shrugged, her grin never fading. "I'm still your favourite student though."
"Leave already before I rethink not electrocuting you." Laxus threatened. Without another word, Nashi rushed out of the door, slamming it behind her.
Laxus couldn't help but smirk. "That brat is exactly like her dad." He said clearly amused.

Blood dripped from Storm's lip and onto his shirt as he limped through the Fairy Tail High corridors. His torn clothing and the pulsing bruise on his right eye earned many wide eyed stares from other students as he passed.
Storm was travelling at a slow pace when a speeding pink blur collided into him. They both plummeted to the ground with a loud thud.
It was a girl with pink hair and a scarf wrapped around her neck. Clutching onto her head with a groan, she yelled, "Watch where you're going, moron!" As her eyes finally met his, her anger suddenly faded. "Wow Ice Princess, are you okay?" Her gaze seemed glued to his eye.
"Never better, Flame Brain." Storm snarled slowly rising to his feet. He knew all too well of the troublemaker Nashi Dragneel. He wasn't a fan at all. They'd only rarely talked to each other throughout the entire high school life, mainly due to the fact that Storm couldn't stand Nashi's personality in general.
"You're so useless at fighting." Nashi said frowning at his face. "I seriously feel sorry for you." Storm's face was unfazed by her remark.
"I don't have time to stand here and talk to someone who's probably not gonna graduate at the end of the year." He replied as he shoved his way past her. Suddenly he felt two hands grab onto his back. "Fan-f*cking-tastic." He muttered under his breath.
Nashi slammed Storm into the lockers, her eyes filled with fiery rage. The corridors were silent as students watched the display.
"I am gonna graduate! You just wait!" She yelled as she pulled back her fist. Storm looked at her with a sigh.
"There you go again, using her fists before words." He said. Nashi's anger suddenly faded and Storm felt her grip on him loosen as her fist slowly lowered.
"This isn't over." She simply stated before turning her heel and leaving. When she was out of sight, the corridor was filled with low chatter and whispers.
Storm turned around and continued walking to his destination; The Nurses Office. He would never admit it out loud but all his injuries were hurting like hell.

Rose Fernandez was a lot of things. She was the President of the Student Council, Honour Student, Head of Homecoming committee and also the Champion Female Magic League Fighter. Doing it all was hard, even overwhelming at times. However, she made it her mission to look unfazed.
Currently, she was failing that mission.
"Miss Fernandez, are you okay?" A man with a pair of shining glasses and a sleek suit said.
Rose felt a lump in her throat. Her knees were shaking uncontrollably and her palms were wet with sweat. She couldn't utter a damn word. That man was her ticket to the best university in all of Fiore and she was blowing it.
"I-I..." She stuttered. "I'm sorry... I can't-" she jolted to her feet running out of the room. She burst into the corridor. The air in her lungs seemed to escape her as she was hyperventilating.
"Rose? What happened?" A soothing voice asked. Rose, who was on the verge on tears, turned to face Alexis Dreyar, her best friend.
"I messed up. I messed up. I f*cking messed up." Rose croaked, her voice cracking. Alexis immediately wrapped her friend in her arms, encasing her in a hug.
"Calm down. It's gonna be alright." Alexis soothed clutching tighter to Rose who was trembling in her arms.
Slowly, Rose's breathing went back to normal and she was no longer shaking so violently. The red haired girl pulled away from the embrace of her friend.
"I choked. I choked at the most important interview of my life." She whispered clenching her fists tightly. "I might as well curl up in a ball and die." She said as she ran her fingers through her scarlet red hair.
"Rose Milliana Fernandez, don't you dare say that again." Alexis clutched onto both of Rose's shoulders looking her in the eye. "You are a strong, independent, not to mention beautiful young woman and you'll get another chance at this interview." She said with an encouraging smile.
Rose raised an eyebrow. "I'll get another chance?" She questioned hesitantly. Alexis nodded.
"You're the No. 1 student in this school. Universities are literally knocking down my dad's door to try and get you. I'm certain they'll give you another chance." She reassured. Rose let a huff of air in relief.
"Thanks, Lexi." Rose said hugging her friend again. "By the way, how did your interview go?"
Alexis shook her head. "I'll tell you about it later, Rose. First let's get you cleaned up." She pulled at Rose's arm guiding her to the girl's bathroom.
When they arrived, Rose broke free of Alexis' grip. "I want to go in alone." She said with the look of determination of her eyes. Alexis was hesitant at first but in the end she nodded.
"I'm waiting right out here." Alexis told Rose.
Rose just nodded and went into the bathroom.

Hunter Fernandez walked through the halls with a bored expression on his face. Beside him was other than Gale Redfox whose face was hidden behind a book.
As Hunter passed random people, girls would giggle and blush. It was a usual occurrence that he didn't really pay much mind to. Mainly because it was too troublesome and complicated. He couldn't really be bothered with relationships. However, there was one girl who made his judgement slightly change and she was standing right next to the lockers near the girl's bathrooms.
"I'm just gonna go talk to someone." He said to Gale. Gale just gave him a 'I don't care' look and waved him off. Hunter had a feeling the only thing he cared about was the book. "Douchebag." He mumbled looking at the dark teal haired boy.
Hunter approached the blonde haired girl. "Hey, Lexi, can we talk?" He asked. Alexis' sighed with dread as she looked at him.
"Depends what it is, Hunter." She replied curtly.
"Us." As the word left his lips, Hunter could see her tensing. She clenched her fists by her side.
"There isn't an us." She said softly avoiding eye contact with him.
"So let's forget about what happened Friday night?" Hunter questioned as he looked down at her. His tone seemed more annoyed.
"It was a stupid party and we both weren't in our right mind." Alexis explained adamantly. Hunter could sense hesitation and even doubt in her voice as she spoke.
He sighed crossing his arms over his chest. His softened his tone and said, "What do you want, Alexis?" He made sure to make eye contact with her. Her glistening blue eyes looked up to him.
"I- I want..." she stammered fidgeting with hair. She paused for a moment and avoided his eye contact. "I don't want to hurt Rose...My friendship with her is more important to me than anything that may be going on with you. So could you just stop...please."
Alexis wasn't sure what washed over Hunter's face. Anger? Hurt? Maybe even both. But she didn't like the sense of guilt that filled her when he stormed off. Rose came out of the bathroom, all freshly cleaned.
"I fee better now." She said with a wide grin on her face and hands on her hips. Alexis forced a smile on her face.
"How bout I treat you to a strawberry cake then?" She asked. Rose' eyes lit up and she nodded eagerly.

After being left by Hunter, Gale found his way to the School Library. Some would say the Library was his natural habitat and if he had a voice, he wouldn't argue with that.
Being a mute was, in a way, satisfying for Gale. He had a total of two friends which meant no one really bothered him. Therefore there was no drama. Therefore he could always read a good book without being interrupted. He planted himself on a chair and continued reading.
"I knew I'd find you here." A voice said. Gale, recognising who it was, inwardly groaned. He looked away from his book to make eye contact with Storm Fullbuster. Storm had bandages on his face and multiple bruises on his face.
Gale raised his eyebrow. He ripped out a page of a notebook and scribbling down writing.
What the hell happened to you?
Storm shrugged before sitting down next to Gale. "These dirtbag seniors were tormenting this Freshman so I stepped in." He explained.
Gale nodded his head, knowing all too well why Storm had done it. He scribbled on the piece of paper again.
So you were playing Hero again?
Storm looked at the paper and instantly rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He responded with disregard. Gale tapped loudly on the paper again and Storm looked at it again.
Heroes fight back too.
Storm was one of Gale's friends. Hunter, being the other. One thing he knew about Storm was that the guy never fought back. Gale gathered that the reason was the idiot wanted to get hurt or something.
"I guess I'm not a hero then." Storm said crossing his arms. Gale, getting annoyed by the situation, returned to his book without another word.

First chapter done. Lol if you don't get what's happening, just ask in the comments. I have the tendency to like just write random things that don't make sense. Gale's section is a little short but I'll be extending it next chapter so don't worry.
Anyways if you're wondering what Magic Fighting Leagues are, it's basically like 'sports' for Fairy Tail High. Like I said in the description, all characters have their magical abilities. So they use it to battle out and see who the best fighter in their school is.
Hope you enjoyed! Don't forget to Vote/Comment! Thanks for reading.
