XXIV. Sting Eucliffe & Yukino Aguria

“The Heart Sparks the Brightest”

So Sting-kun’s the new Master… Yukino thought as Sting brought her back to their guild, Sabertooth. The party ended and the others went home already. Sting gave Lector to his best friend, Rogue Cheeney for them to go home since they live in the same apartment.

“Yukino go with me in my office for your guild mark.” He said to Yukino.

Yukino felt her eyes tearing up and smiled. “Sting-kun, I mean Sting-sama… Arigato. I’m back in my first home, thank you for bringing me here again.”

Sting grinned. “Thanks to Natsu-san, I wouldn’t be like this on what I am right now! He’s really awesome!”

Yukino nodded. “Natsu-sama also amazes me.”

That’s what a Fairy Tail wizard is… They both thought.

Sting patted on her shoulder. “We should get going now, You still need to find your apartment.”

Yukino followed him into the Master’s office and Sting put Yukino’s guild mark at where it was before their old Master had ordered her to erase Sabertooth’s guild mark by only using her own magic.

“Good as new.” Sting said and Yukino’s eyes sparkled. I have my own guild mark back…

“I must get going…” Yukino said and before she gets her hand on the door knob, Sting grabs her other hand.

“Yukino.” He said. Yukino’s heart beats faster waiting for what he is about to say. “Let me help you find one, as the Master I would protect my comrades. It’s dark outside and you know how it isn’t safe to go out by yourself. Anything could happen there to you without some company.” He said in a serious tone.

He’s concerned about me… Yukino blushed. “O-okay Sting-sama…”

Sting chuckled and let goes of her hand and she faced him. “Just call me Sting.” He scratched his head. “I’m still not used being called as a Master… But maybe someday.” Yukino giggled. “Okay.”

The two went out of town, dark appears on the skies, but there’s the moon shining brightly in the dark skies. Some houses on the streets were at peace and quiet, but some have their lights on and you can hear loud noises from it. D-Drunkers??? This thought of Yukino makes her feel scared.

Known to Sting, because of his dragon senses, he noticed Yukino feeling scared and he decided to hold her hand. Yukino looked at it, then at him, staring down at her and she blushed a little. “Sting-kun, why are you holding my hand?”

He smiled at her. “So that you won’t feel scared anymore.”

She turned to the other side. “Thanks.”

They arrived at Yukino’s old apartment, they walked in and they found the recipient reading a book on his chair. As soon as the recipient heard the bell from the door that means someone’s coming in, he darted his eyes away from his book and looked at the guests.

He was surprised. “Good eve Yukino-san! And your friend there uhhh-“

“Sting.”

“And Sting-san. You’re looking for a room the two of you eh?” He smirked.

Yukino waved her hands while Sting smiled. “No, no sir. I’m asking if there’s any room left for me only.”

“Ohhh…Hmm… I don’t have any keys left here. Sorry there’s no vacant here Yukino-san.” He sighed.

She looked a little bit disappointed. “That’s okay sir, thanks.”

They tried several apartments, but no luck.

“Yukino let’s try if there are any room left in my apartment.”Sting offered. She nodded and they went there.

While they were looking near the alley, someone grabs the wrist of Yukino from the alley, but good thing Sting’s grip on her hand from earlier is strong. “Yukino!”

Sting while still holding her hand, he runs to the suspect and kicked him in the face. “Bastard!”

The suspect flies off screaming. Yukino was panting really fast her heart beat getting faster by the minute and her head spinning. “Sting-kun…” She said and fell down, Sting captured her in time. “Yukino, Yukino!” She closes her eye and fell unconscious.

Sting brought her to his apartment by running and carrying her. He opened the door of his room making Rogue and the others wake up on their room, which is in the opposite side of Sting’s room.

Rogue walked to Sting’s room which is already open. “Hey Sting what’s going on?”

Sting was putting Yukino on his bed and went to his own bathroom and goes out while carrying a bucket of water and a towel. Rogue walked closer to the bed. “Is that Yukino?”

“Who do you think it is Rogue?” Sting rolled his eyes and put the wet towel on Yukino’s forehead. He gets her sandals, gloves and her hair pin.

“What happened to her anyway?”

“She was in shock when someone tries to kidnap her.”

“Ohhh I see, a heart attack. Maybe it’s her first time.” Rogues said and Sting nodded. “I’m going back to sleep.” Rogues said and leave the room.

Sting continues to take care of her and lost in his own thoughts, thinking about Yukino, how sparks he felt when he first saw her and felt that Yukino is his, forever. And then fell asleep as an hour passes by.

It was already morning, and Yukino wakes up. “Where am I?” She sat up and rub her eyes. She gasped as she saw Sting’s head and arms was resting on her bed, he was still sleeping. Yukino smiled to herself and remembered what happen. Ohhh I was having a heart attack. Again. She sighed.

Sting groaned and opened his eyes, he saw Yukino and murmured. “You’re awake.” And then he realized that he was fully awake, opened his eyes wide and looked at Yukino. “You’re awake!” Sting exclaimed. Yukino sweatdropped. “Yeah...”

“Oh God I was worried last night!” He said. “I’ll cook for breakfast!” He said and dashed downstairs, where his and Rogue’s kitchen is. “Take a shower Yukino!” He said.

She followed him. She gets her clothes from her suitcase and went to the shower.

“Itadakimasu!” They said. And they started to eat.

“Sting-kun I never knew you were a great cook!” Yukino said.

Sting grinned. “I’m the best! I’m Fiore’s number one cook!”

Rogues said. “Stop dreaming Sting!” They laughed and Sting pouted.

“Yukino, I think there’s one room more available in our apartment, there’s a room on the third floor. And we just have to tell the owner of this apartment.” Rogue said.

“Wait, whoa, whoa! We have a third floor here?” Sting asked.

 Rogue facepalmed, while the exceeds laughed. “Oh Sting/Sting-kun…”

Yukino giggled. “Okay, I’ll stay here.” Lector cheered, Fro clapped and the boys smiled.

“Get her back!” Sting said as the demons captured her.

“Sorry, but we need this celestial spirit together with the Heartfilia girl. They will be useful that much to us.”

Yukino whimpered in the demon’s grip. Sting activates his dragon force. “No one gets her.” He said in a dangerous voice. The demon smirked. “Then fight with me first.”

The demon ran swiftly to him. But Sting attacked it first causing a little damage to the demon’s skin. They kept attacking and attacking until the demon felt weak and needs to retreat, felts like he can’t carry the girl. He gave Yukino to Sting and he captured her. “I’ll be back next time.”

Sting sighed and carry Yukino going back to the others. “Yukino don’t worry, everything’s safe now.”

“Sting-kun… I feel afraid.” She said while trembling a little.

“Yukino, sometimes you need to be brave. You need to think, that you need to fight for your comrades.” Sting said and peck her lips which made her surprised. “I’m here always. And…” He took a deep breath. “I love you Yukino.”

She puts her hand on his chest and blushed. “I love you too, Sting-sama…” And she closes her eyes and rested her head on his chest listening to his own heart beat.
