Third POV
The mysterious knight's introduction left everyone except Anna in a state of confusion. It wasn't long before Lucy broke the silence.
"Sir Percival? As in the Round Table Percival?" she asked, her voice filled with disbelief.
The knight, who now identified himself as Percival, turned to face her. His expression shifted as though he'd suddenly realized something profound.
"Lady Anna!" he exclaimed, his voice brimming with joy. He walked toward Anna and, much to the group's surprise, knelt before her, bowing his head with reverence. "By God, it's you. After all this time, you still shine like the sun."
Lucy, caught off guard, felt heat rise to her cheeks. She opened her mouth to say something, but no words escaped. Meanwhile, Happy couldn't contain himself.
"HAHA!!! THE LOOK ON LUCY'S FACE IS PRICELESS!!!" he burst out laughing, clutching his stomach.
Natsu, Gray, Erza, and Carla looked on with blank expressions, unsure of how to react to the scene unfolding before them. Natsu opened his mouth to say something, but Anna placed a hand on his shoulder, silencing him.
"I'm right here, Sir Percival. That is my descendant, Lucy Heartfilia," Anna said gently, addressing the knight.
Percival's expression shifted to one of horror as he glanced at Lucy, then back at Anna. Realization struck.
"By God, my sincerest apologies to you both. I didn't know that you were Lady Anna's descendant. It's just... you look just like her," Percival stammered.
Lucy, still flustered but now understanding, smiled softly. "It's okay. I understand. The fact that we both have blond hair and brown eyes probably has something to do with it," she explained, trying to brush off the awkwardness.
Erza, however, remained suspicious of the situation. Her eyes narrowed as she examined Percival, clearly wary of the mysterious knight's sudden appearance.
"Who are you, and how did you get here?" Erza demanded, summoning her sword as a precaution.
Percival, caught off guard by the question, looked confused, but Anna stepped in.
"It's alright, Erza, he is a friend," Anna reassured her, gesturing for Percival to stand.
Erza's expression was still skeptical, but she slowly unsummoned her sword, trusting Anna's judgment. Anna smiled at Percival and spoke again.
"It's been a long time, my friend."
Percival nodded with a wistful smile. "It certainly has. If I may ask, what year is it? Are you my master?" he asked.
Anna's smile remained warm. "The year is X793, Percival. Unfortunately, I am not your master, but Wendy is." She placed a hand on Wendy's shoulder.
Wendy, still processing the situation, nervously smiled at Percival. "Hello, my name is Wendy Marvell. It's nice to meet you," she said with a polite bow.
Percival's eyes widened, and he knelt once again, bowing his head with the same reverence as before. "It is an honor to meet you, Lady Wendy. I, Sir Percival, shall act as your sword and shield on your behalf!" he declared earnestly.
Wendy's face flushed, but before she could respond, the rest of the group crowded around Percival, eager for answers.
"Who are you?" Erza demanded again, her suspicion lingering.
"How did you get here?" Gray asked, still puzzled.
"Are you a celestial spirit?" Lucy inquired, trying to piece things together.
"WHY ARE YOU SO FREAKING TALL?!" Natsu shouted, unable to contain his surprise.
Overwhelmed by the barrage of questions, Percival hesitated, clearly unsure of how to respond. Wendy, sensing his discomfort, stepped in front of the group.
"Hey, guys, please give him some space," Wendy requested, her voice calm yet firm.
The group reluctantly backed off, allowing Percival to stand in front of them. Wendy, looking back at him, gave a small nod. "Sorry about that. Do you mind telling us what's going on?" she asked politely.
Percival, grateful for the opportunity to explain, took a deep breath and began. "I am Sir Percival, Knight of the Dove. I am a Servant, otherwise known as a 'Heroic Spirit,' summoned by the Holy Grail," he explained with a calm, clear voice.
"Heroic Spirit? What's that?" Gray asked, his curiosity piqued.
Percival smiled as he elaborated. "Heroic Spirits are the spirits of legendary heroes who achieved great deeds in life. After their deaths, they become objects of worship. There are seven classes of Servants: Saber, the way of the sword; Lancer, the way of the spear; Archer, the way of the bow; Rider, those known for riding mounts; Caster, those who use magecraft; Assassin, specialists in assassination; and Berserker, those who have gone berserk in battle at least once."
Erza raised an eyebrow. "Then you must be a Lancer-class Servant, since you wield Longinus, a spear," she stated, piecing together the details.
Lucy nodded thoughtfully. "I didn't know there were so many types of Heroic Spirits," she murmured, clearly fascinated by the information.
Percival nodded in agreement before continuing. "Yes, I am a Lancer-class Servant. As for summoning a Servant, it requires an object that belongs to the Servant you wish to summon," he explained.
Wendy's eyes widened in realization. "Wait... I was carrying Longinus while we were running from Kyoka. Does that mean... I summoned you?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.
Percival nodded with a gentle smile. "Yes and no. Servants are temporarily materialized when summoned by a Master. We rely on our Master's mana to manifest in this world," he explained.
Wendy blinked in confusion. "Mana? Like magic?" she asked, unsure.
Percival looked at her with some confusion, but before he could respond, Erza stepped in. "Mana is what people used to call magic back in the day. Nowadays, it's referred to as ethernano," she clarified.
Percival's eyes widened in surprise at this revelation, but before he could comment further, Wendy suddenly looked down at her right hand. There, she saw a strange marking – red with three sets of wings arranged in different directions, encircling a circle with a lance beneath it.
I begin to panic. "What is this mark on my hand?!" I exclaim fearfully. Percival gave me a kind smile, walked up to me, gently grabbed my hand with both hands, and said, "Don't fret my lady, this mark is where your Command Seals are."
"Command Seals?" I ask.
Percival nods his head. "Command Seals are holy marks signifying a mage's status as a Master. They force a Servant to carry out whatever order their Master gives them and each Master can only use up to three Seals at a time. After that, the Servant is no longer bound to their Master." He states.
Third POV
The group fell silent, processing all the new information. Natsu, ever the optimist, grinned broadly.
"Honestly, man, I don't get this whole Master and Servant thing, but I can tell you one thing: You seem pretty cool to me. I'm Natsu, by the way," he said, extending a hand.
The rest of Team Natsu smiled in agreement.
"I guess he's alright, considering he saved Wendy from certain death," Gray admitted, still trying to process the details.
Percival looked at Gray, his expression confused. "Good sir, where are your clothes?" he asked awkwardly, noting Gray's current attire – or lack thereof.
Gray blinked and looked down, realizing he was in nothing but his boxers. "AWW DAMMIT!!!" he yelled, running off in search of his clothes.
Lucy sighed, rubbing her forehead. "Leave it to Gray to make the best first impressions," she muttered.
She then turned to Percival. "Don't worry about him. It's normal for him to do that," she assured him.
Percival nodded, though his discomfort was evident.
"Umm... You're Lucy Heartfilia, right? Anna's descendant?" he asked nervously.
Lucy beamed, her earlier embarrassment forgotten. "You got it!" she said, her smile wide.
Just then, Happy and Carla flew up beside Percival, who looked at them in awe. Lucy noticed his reaction and explained, "These two are called Exceeds. They come from a parallel universe to Earth Land, called Edolas. The blue one is Natsu's partner, Happy, and the white one is Wendy's partner, Carla."
"Aye, sire!" Happy said with enthusiasm.
Carla, on the other hand, stayed silent, giving Percival a skeptical look.
Erza, introducing herself, said, "I'm Erza. Together, we make up the Fairy Tail guild's strongest team!"
Percival's eyes widened in awe as he took in the guild marks on their bodies. "Guild? What's that?" he asked, clearly confused.
Natsu's shock was evident. "You don't know what a guild is?!" he exclaimed, before Gray yanked him by the scarf and bonked him on the head.
"Idiot. Guilds didn't exist during his time, so how would he know?" Gray said, exasperated.
Before the two could argue, Erza silenced them with a piercing glare. She then turned to Percival. "We should probably head back to the guild and report what happened here to the Master. Percival, we'll fill you in on how much the world has changed."
Percival nodded in agreement, and with that, the group began making their way back to the Fairy Tail guild.
