Natsu--with difficulty--had managed to get the shaking Lucy back to her rented room, trying to calm her down as she continued to cry in fear from losing memories. The sad thing was, was that Lucy would soon start not to know she was losing her memories, and then they would disappear without a trace; all of her times with Fairy Tail.

But why Fairy Tail? Why was it only the memories Lucy had with Fairy Tail the ones that disappeared? Why not her others?

The next day creeped over the horizon, and Natsu worredly watched as Lucy stayed quiet the whole way to the train station. Once they boarded, Natsu got motion sickness as usual, with Happy trying to make him feel better. It would take them a few hours to get there, but not as long as it had taken them to get to Twel City. After half an hour or so, Lucy excused herself without a view of her eyes, walking down the train pathway as she made her way to the back of the train. She walked through all carts of the train, making her way to the back where she could look out across the tracks as they traveled.

Lucy recalled the night before. Natsu had shown her a picture of Levy, and described how they had been friends and she wanted to read Lucy's novel. With no success, Lucy couldn't remember who this "Levy" girl was.

"I'm writing a novel?" Lucy had asked, and fear had flashed quickly in Natsu's eyes as he tried to bring back her memories.

They're going so quickly... She thought, staring down at the tracks that appeared from under the train. Lucy turned, sliding down the bars of the back precaution fence, sighing. Once we get closer to Virel, my memories should come back. She thought, closing her eyes tightly. Let's see where he is now...

Virel flashed through her mind, looking back over the city he was previously in; Time City.

There he is. Lucy thought with bile in her thoat.

Virel had a small smile on his face, and the wind blew, blowing his black hair back and forth in the breeze. His coat swayed as well, and Lucy got a glimpse of a weird yet gigantic ruin behind him; castle-like and yet half collapsed. Slowly, Virel turned his head in Lucy's direction, and his eyes flashed red. Lucy flinched, Virel looking right at her.

It won't be long, Lucy. Virel's voice echoed through her mind. Until I will be able to go back in time and finish everything.

What exactly are you planning? Lucy asked back, her eyebrows narrowed in concentration.

Virel chuckled. I'm planning to go back in time, didn't I tell you?

But you need my magic and anothers in order to do it.  Lucy said with question in her voice.

Correct.

Why? And who else do you need?

Virel sat down on a rock nearby, resting his elbows on his knees. You're magic power along with another's can combine, creating a spell on someone like myself can use in order to travel back through time.

Someone like yourself?  What makes you so special? Lucy spat consciously, suspicious yet wary at the same time.

I am a Multiple Magic User. I can control multiple forms of magic. Darkness, Ice, Earth, and Fire.

No way. Lucy replied, shocked. How can you do that? That is almost impossible!

Almost. Virel re-quoted, smirking. Be prepared, Lucy Heartfilia. Come to the Cermonial Temple. All will end there. And with a flash of red eyes, Lucy's mirror started to shimmer.

Wait a minute! Lucy screamed at him. Who is the other person you need to use in order to go back in time?!

Virel didn't answer, and his image evaporated like mist.

Lucy's eyes shot open, and she stood, struggling to regain a normal pattern of breathing. Fine. She said in her mind, hoping Virel could hear her. I'll stop you for good once I see you.

Be prepared, Virel.

The train had stopped, so Natsu was feeling better. Lucy still hadn't come back yet, so after waiting for a little bit, he went to look for her, leaving a sleeping Happy behind. He followed her scent through the back of the train, stopping once he saw a glimpse of her through the back train door window, where the balcony was.

Sighing slightly with relief, he opened the door, stopping a few feet away from her on her left.

"Oi, Lucy?" He asked, leaning forward slightly to look at her face.

Lucy jerked from her thoughts, smiling when she saw Natsu standing there. "Oh, Natsu." She looked down at the ground. "The train stopped? I didn't even notice..." She wandered off, stretching. "Sorry to keep you waiting."

"Nah, it's no problem!" He exclaimed, grinning broadly. "The train only stopped a few minutes ago; let's get Happy and got off this thing!" Lucy nodded, smiling greatfuly. "Oh, Lucy?" Lucy turned, looking at Natsu with her eyebrows raised. "Did...you lose any more memories?"

Lucy smiled sadly. "No, not any yet. I think..." She looked off to her left. "...It's because I saw Virel."

"You saw him?! Where?!" Natsu exclaimed, looking around abruptly.

Lucy waved her hands. "Oh no no; I saw him in another vision, I guess you could say..."

"What did he want?"

"He told me he needs my magic and someone else's in order to go back in time."

"What?" Shock plastered Natsu's face. "How on earth is he going to do that?"

"I don't know, Natsu, but...I've got a really bad feeling about this."

Natsu widened his eyes slightly when he saw Lucy trembling slightly. His expressiong softened sadly, and he put a hand on her shoulder. "It'll be okay, Lucy."

Lucy looked up at him in shock, but it quickly was replaced with gratefulness, and she nodded, determination beginning to form on her features.

Natsu grinned again. "Let's go; together!"

"Keh?!" Natsu and Lucy exclaimed together, with a surprised Happy floating in between them.

Erza, Gray, and Wendy were standing at the front of the train station.

Yawning, Gray stood. "It's about damn time..."

Erza walked right over to Natsu and Lucy, giving them a stare that scared them to death. "Don't ever leave by yourselves again. Understood?!"

"Y-Yes!" Natsu and Lucy said in unision, cowering back.

"Levy was able to track you two after trying to find Virel!" Wendy exclaimed, as cheerful as usual. Carla stood by her legs, her arms crossed.

Natsu paused, and with a sad expression, he turned to Lucy. "Lucy?"

Lucy had her head bent, and she was looking at the ground, her face crestfallen.

Natsu sighed sadly.

"What's the problem, Flame Brain?" Gray asked, his hands in his pockets.

"Lucy has lost a bit of her memory already." Ignoring the surprised and disbelieving faces, he turned to Lucy. "She doesn't know who Levy is."

"Oh no!" Wendy exclaimed, her pupils contracting in fear.

"This is bad." Erza replied. "We don't even know where Virel is in this city."

"Actually.." Lucy murmured, and everyone turned to her. "I do."
