Gajeel's POV

I can't help but stifle a laugh.
"Take that!" My hands scream as my weapon did the hard work. You could see the life physically drain from his eyes- I feel so proud as I managed a kill. Successfully. .

My cold hands yank the blade free and I look down at his corpse and wait for the bang. When it finally sounds it's music to my ears.

"I'm free!" My conscious purrs.
"Vengeance has been made for you Levy!" I look to the sky and smile.

A small raindrop falls in between the crease of my eyebrow, then another, then another. I open my mouth to the rain and the liquid moisturises my dry throat.Immediately aftet drinking my feet start to run, weapon still in hand. I don't want to be caught in the rain. The smell of the earth fills my lungs as I brush past tress branches and step in the muck. The sight of trees become endless and the thought of walking in the cold rain makes me shiver. Then suddenly I hear footsteps from behind me. I clench my blade tighter, blood slowly trickling from my hand where it touched the sharpened blade. A cold feelinging touches my neck when I realise there is a blade in front of it

"I have to say, quite impressive. Although you did steal my kill." I carefully turn my head tofacye a blonde haired boy with bright blue almond shaped eyes. His lips part into a smile as he holds his knife to my throat.

"Behind me, s my comrade rogue. Next to him is Minerva. If you do anything with that blade they will gut you." He points with his free hand to the weapon brandished in my hand. I drop it to the group d and grit my teeth.

"P-pleased to meet you." I manage to say amongst shivers.
"I'm G-" he shakes his head.

"Oh, I already know who you are Redfox, but see here. There is a problem." His teeth clench closed into a forced grin.

"A probl-" He shouts over me.

"Yes you deaf bastard! A problem. You stole my long awaited kill and now I am angry." He tightens the grip of the weapon touching the skin on my neck.

The two behind him raise their weapon in sequence with the urge to kill transcribed into their eyes.

"But."

"But?" I question back. He lunges at me and pins me to the ground with the knife still at my throat.

"I would absolutely Love for you to join me. I've seen your capabilities and I have to say I am quite impressed. You handle your iron spear like a pro." He points to the spear lying at my feet.
"In fact I'd say you'd have a chance of winning if it weren't for me." His compliment makes me blush in anger.

"And what if I say no?" I question.

"Well, I will have pleasure in killing you," he licks his dry lips.

My voice cracks. "I suppose I have no choice then,"

"Right you are Bunny Boy." Bunny Boy?

The quiet one behind him, Rogue, brushes his hair out of his face with his left hand before he mumbles.

"Sting don't we have enough people to feed?"

I can't help but stare at the ground when I walk. It is something that I have always done ever since I can remember. Its mostly so I can keep an eye on my feet so I dont trip and fall as I am extremely clumsy. I remember when I was younger that my mum used to always say to me.
"Look up at the sky Gajeel. Its far more interesting than the ground. You have clouds and rainbows to look at up there. All there is on the ground is mud and dirt." And I would smile up at her in defeat.
"Sorry mum," I would beam. She would then mess up my hair with her motherly touch and laugh.
"Promise me you will look at the sky Gajeel" To which I would nod my head. That is something I miss about my mum. When she died I started to look at the ground again. The hard thing though was that it would annoy me that I couldn't keep my promise to her. No matter how hard I would try I just couldn't bear looking at the sky-it hurt too much.

Sting and his crew eventually stopped walking. I felt my heart stop as I nearly bumped into them.
"This seems like an alright place to stop?" Minerva questioned. I looked around and I was met with a deathining 30ft drop.

"At least there is a river nearby." Sting smiled me, I turned my head towards a flowing stream at least 7ft deep.

"I'm just taking any necessary steps in case our new teammate attempts to slit our throats in the middle of the night. Now we a have cliff to throw you off of," he pats me on the head.

"Bunny boy," He finishes. I still can't think what that nickname could potentially mean. I turn my head and I am met with rogues stiff glare. His eyes are half closed over and half awake like he has been awake all night and then just had 15 cups of coffee.

"So, Gajeel was is?" The soft purr of a womens voice whispers in my ear following with, a hot wave of breath.

"Ye." I mumble.

"Nice to meet you, I am Minerva," her voice sends shivers down my spine.
She takes her hand and starts to caress my leg making me feel uncomfortable.

Rogue rolls his eyes whilst he polishes his weapon, the silver of the blade reflecting in his eyes. His strong muscular arms seem to almost throb in anger as he applys elbow grease and immense pressure to the blade. Sting is sitting alone at the edge of the cliff, staring into the distance. "I want to push him off," my mind sings.
