Lucy's POV

All that I can think of right now is dad, all that I can think of is how disappointed he would be of me and how he is probably at the bar, drowning in alcoholic anger. Does he even miss me? Does he even care? Would anyone even care? I never really had much friends back home in district 6. My father being the propritor of a higher class home gave me scowls and bullying in all my school classes. No one truly loved me, I was alone in a big home. I never had anyone to talk to and no siblings either people hated me or would use me for my riches. I've only ever had one friend actually, his name was Leo.

he grew up in a big family like me. His father was the maker of a new medication and his family was paid well by the capitol. he would come over for tea and cake, my mother would greet him like family and my father would actually smile. he was like the brother my mother couldn't have. However, his father grew angry and used us heartfilia's to grow. He knew us heartfilia's enjoyed his company, he healed us in a way from the reality of mothers growing sickness...

"Hey Jude could you please advertise our new medication?" His father would say with a smile. Of course father would oblige...
"Anything for the father of my little girls friend..." He would reply. Eventually Loe didn't visit as frequently since we had to stop the advertising.

"I'm sorry but we can't do this anymore..." He said. It was around this time mother died and I was extremely depressed from loss. I needed a friend and he knew that.
"If you don't support my business Leo will stop visiting." Dad pleadingly responded.
"But it's for Lucy. She needs a friend. She's just lost her mother." Dad was paying for my friendship until it became to much. We had to move out of our house. When dad couldn't pay anymore Michelle, our maid stopped coming-turning our house into a tip. Dishes were left unwashed for weeks and I was running out of clothes. Due to the messy environment and his depressed daughter, it was the start of fathers drinking problem.

"Hey Luce?" Natsu looks over to me with a worried look on his face. Wendy is asleep next to me and her head is on my shoulder.

"Why are you crying?" He questions. I put my hand to my face to feel a wet layer of skin.

"I was just thinking..." I smile. Natsu smiles sympathetically. He turns his head to the sky.

"What were you thinking of?" He questions.
"Home." I respond. His smile sinks into a frown.
"So was I..." He let's out a sigh.
"Juvias was also thinking of home..." Juvia frowns.
"What was district four like?" Natsu asks. Juvias sighs and sits up.

"I-it was very busy, full of poverty and smelly..." She laughs. Natsu and I smile in chorus.

"Gray-sama would take away the sadness though, Juvias was extremely happy for that. All of the fish that would be reeled in by our boats, it was Juvias job to skin and gut them...Juvias hated her job..." She continues.

"I've never had fish, what does it taste like?" I question. Juvias laughs and says.
"Fishy."
The happy mood is broken by the sound of a cannon, Wendy's eyes pop open from the sound. Each one of us share the same blank expression. That's when we hear footsteps running at an alarming rate. I snap my head round to the back of me and I see three figures slowly approach.

"Sting..." Lucy shakes. We leave our bags and abruptly dart in the opposite direction. Sting seems to be cussing and swearing as we get away, but not cussing and swearing at us.

"IM GOING TO KILL YOU GRAY!" That name cracks Juvia. I notice her eyes widen and her breathing halter.

"Juvia!" I grab tightly onto her arm and push her ahead of me. That's when I notice they are nearing us, the group of 3. The boy called Rogue from district 11, I notice his weapon. Sting is aproaching Juvia and I quickly. I start to panic and prepare for the worst.

Natsu's POV

We are slowly approaching a dead end, sweat starts to bead anxiously all over my forehead. I feel a hand grip tightly onto my arm and escalate me forwards.
"Run faster!" The person pushes me forwards. I turn my head for a second to see Wendy's hands pressed against my back.
"We should split into two groups!" Wendy suggests.
"We will meet back at cornucopia." I add. Lucy abruptly shakes her head.
"Then what...get eaten alive by the hungry tributes. We should meet on the outskirts of it, that way we can't be seen..."
"Juvia agrees with Lucy!" Juvias adds edging closer to my right. The dead end is coming closer and closer, almost within reach.
"Juvias and I will go right. You and Wendy go left." I say to Lucy.

"Okay on the count of three we split." Lucy says.

"1…" Wendy calls short in breath.
"2…"she continues.
"3!" I start to swerve to the right
Unexpectedly the group cuts between me, messing up my plan. I am forced to go left due to Rogue cutting in closer to me. Where as Juvia is sent to the right by herself. I can't turn my head back now, but the footsteps have stopped chasing us...I feel an impending surge of guilt take over my body. A thudding heart beat, a sickly feeling. However, we have to keep running.
"Ju-via!" Wendy cries still running.

Its then we hear her cry his name.
