Chapter Twenty-Three: Do You Want Me To Die?
Maybe we can have some Gruvia and Rowen in the next part? Or maybe we can throw in... Never mind... I don't like seeing you guys mad >:) I just want to say that this chapter took place at the same time as Jellal and Erza's date!

Levy's POV:
"Oi, Shrimp!" Gajeel called. I turned around and saw him walking towards me. For every step he took, I felt butterflies multiplying in my stomach.
"Y-Yes, Gajeel?" I asked. He gave me what looked like a test. I flipped it over and saw a C- on the upper right-hand corner.
"Can you help me on my history? I sorta failed on my last test," Gajeel said as he scratched his head.
"I can see that," I replied. I heavily sighed and motioned him to follow me. I opened the door to the Tutoring Center and we sat on an empty table. I only saw three or four people in here, so it should be quiet most of the time.
"Don't we need a history textbook?" Gajeel asked. I shook my head.
"I basically know everything about history, so we don't need a textbook," I answered. He rolled his eyes.
"Show off," he muttered. I stuck my tongue out.
"Maybe you should spend more time on reading instead of goofing off," I told him. He crossed his arms.
"What made you think I was goofing off?" He asked. I showed him his test.
"Hello? Can't you see the C- on the corner of your history test?" I said as I pointed to his grade. He sighed.
"Having a C- doesn't mean I was goofing off," he defended.
"It kinda does," I said. He went to go get his backpack and unzipped it. He pulled a doorknob and handed it to me. I examined it carefully.
"Is it iron?" I asked. He nodded. I examined the details throughly. Admittedly, it was beautiful.
"See? I told you I wasn't goofing off. This is what I usually do most of the time," he said. I gave back the doorknob and he puts it away.
"Do you like crafting?" I asked.
"Not exactly. I like to craft if it involves iron," he answered. I raised my eyebrow.
"Why iron? Why not use gold or silver?" He shrugged at my question.
"I don't know. I guess I find iron interesting than other metals," he said.
"Well-"
"Oh, Levy. I'm sorry to be a bother, but I must close up the Tutoring Center early. I need to attend a very important meeting and I can't leave you students here," Mr. Makarov said as he interrupted me. I gave him a nod and all the students started packing up. Gajeel and I walked outside of school together.
"So...do you still want me to tutor you?" I asked. He thought for a moment and inclined.
"Sure, how about we go to my place?" Gajeel suggested.
"You mean...just the two of us?" He nodded at my question. I blushed a crimson red. We're going to be alone...
"Where are your parents? Don't you live with them?" I asked. He shook his head.
"It's a long story. Well, not really. I'll tell you when we go to my place," he said. We walked together in silence and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

Gajeel's POV:
I opened the door to my house and threw my backpack on the table. I lied on the couch and turned on the television.
"What do you think you're doing?" Levy asked. I gave her a bored expression.
"What does is look like I'm doing? I'm watching TV like any normal teen would do," I said. Levy sighed. She snatched the remote away from my hand and turned it off.
"Come on, Gajeel. I'll never help you with History at this rate. Plus, watching television is bad for you. Did you know that about 25% of Americans were nearsighted in the 1970? Now, it increased to 42% because we use electronics such as our phones, laptops, and computers for who knows how long," Levy informed me. I groaned in annoyance, but listened.
"Fine, let's just get this over with," I said. She gave me a warm smile and we studied away.
[TIME SKIP]
"Do you get it now?" Levy asked. I nodded my head.
"Can I watch TV now?" I asked. She gave me a glare.
"Seriously? Why are you so hooked up to the TV?" She asked as she poked my head.
"Well, why are you so hooked up to your homework?" I countered. She rolled her eyes.
"Unlike most people, I would like to get good grades, go to a good college, and have a good career," she said.
"Don't you take a break once in awhile?" I asked. She shook her head.
"Lu-chan and I are committed to our studies. We even shared the same philosophy that school comes before guys," she explained.
"Well, that sucks," I muttered. She gave me a weird look.
"How so?" She asked.
"Don't you want to experience what it's like to fall in love? Or maybe just have some fun and cool off?" I asked. She scratched her head.
"I don't know..." She said honestly. I grabbed her hand and got my keys. I closed the door and we ran all the way to my car. She had a shocked expression on her face.
"Don't worry, Shrimp. I'm going to take you to somewhere fun," I said. She looked confused for a moment, but formed a tiny smile on her lips.
[MAGNOLIA FAIR]
"The Magnolia Fair?" Levy asked. I nodded.
"I was planning to go tomorrow, but I decided to do it today just so that you know what the definition of fun means," I said. She crossed her arms.
"For your information, I know how to have fun!" She grumbled.
"Reading a book and studying for tests are not fun," I said.
"I agree to disagree," she said. I rolled my eyes and took her to The Cyclone. She looked at me as if I was crazy or something.
"Why are you giving me that weird look?" I asked.
"Do you want me to die? I can't ride this thing!" She exclaimed. I patted her head.
"Yes, you can," I encouraged. She puffed in annoyance. The ride ended and it was our turn. We took seats next to each other and Levy was trembling.
"Can I get off and let you ride alone instead?" Levy asked. I pulled the restraints down.
"Nope," I said. The ride slowly started and we were spinning around in circles. Overtime, the spinning began to go faster. I could hear Levy screaming my ears off. I just laughed and enjoyed the moment. After what seemed like 5-7 minutes, the ride began to stop. The restraints automatically lifted and we went to the exit.
"So? How was it?" I asked.
"That...was...AWESOME!" Levy exclaimed.
"See? I told you so," I said. Levy started dragging me to who knows where.
"Let's go to the bumper cars next!" Levy said as she pointed to line.
"Whatever you say."
~~~
Levy's POV:
"Please, Gajeel!" I begged.
"No," he said. I was trying to convince him to go to another ride, but he wouldn't let me.
"Why not?" I asked. He motioned me to follow him. We were standing in front of a game booth and the prize was a big stuffed cat.
"How do you play?" Gajeel asked the attendant.
"Just shoot the basketball and you will win the prize. Any prize you like," the attendant said. Gajeel paid $2 for one ball and tried to aim. He dribbled the ball three times and shot the ball in the net.
"Whoa," I said in awe.
"It pays to be in the varsity basketball team," he said. The attendant gave Gajeel the stuffed cat. He gave the cat to me and I looked at him confused.
"Why are you giving me the cat?" I asked. His cheeks were tinted pink.
"Just take it," he said. I accepted the cat and hugged it tightly. I thanked him for the present and we walked back to his house. The night was filled with countless of stars in the sky. However, that ended when rain started pouring out of nowhere.
"Do you have an umbrella with you?" I asked. He shook his head.
"I didn't know it was going to rain hard today," Gajeel said.
"It's so cold," I complained. I could feel the cold breeze sending me shivers down my body. My hair and my clothes were soaking wet. After walking for a minute, I noticed that the rain wasn't falling on my hair. I looked up and saw Gajeel holding a jacket over my head.
"You might catch a cold you know," Gajeel said. I blushed at his courtesy.
"Arigatou," I said.
"For what?" He asked. I gave him a peck on the nose.
"For everything," I said. He was blushing a deep shape of red.
"F-Forget about it. I-It was nothing," he said. We walked all the way to his house and turned on the heater.
"I should get going," I said. I looked back and saw Gajeel stripping his shirt off. I looked at his lightly tanned skin. There was no doubt he was fit. I think I'm going to get a nose bleed.
"You should stay," Gajeel said as he changed into a clean T-shirt. In all honesty, I still wanted to see his exposed body...
"Uh... I-I don't think that's such a good idea," I said. Thunder began booming all of a sudden.
"Do you want to die out there?" He asked. I gulped.
"M-My parents..."
"Just call them," he said. I looked through my bag and found my cell phone. I dialed my mom's number.
"Hello?"
"Mom?"
"Levy! Oh, thank goodness you're ok. Where are you?"
"I'm staying over at a...friend's house."
"Good. Whatever you do, don't come out tonight. I heard it's going to rain all night. Can I speak to Lucy?
"Actually...she's not here..."
"What do you mean, darling?"
"I'm staying over at Gajeel's house..."
"Gajeel? The troublemaker you always talk about? Please use protection!"
"MOM!"
"Haha! I'm kidding!"
"It's not funny!"
"It's a little funny. Don't worry, Levy. I trust you."
"You do?"
"I don't really have a choice in the matter."
"Oh, I see."
"You're growing into a fine woman, Levy. I just don't want to see you getting hurt."
"Don't worry, Mom. Gajeel won't do anything rash."
"I hope so. Otherwise, I may have to make him a knuckle sandwich."
"Hehehe! Goodbye, Mom!"
"Sweet dreams!"
I hung up the phone and went to Gajeel's bedroom. He was rummaging through his closet to find some clothes. It's probably for me, considering I didn't bring any pajamas.
"What did your mom say?" Gajeel asked.
"Well...not much."
"I don't know if this will fit you, but it's better than nothing," Gajeel said as he threw an oversized shirt. I went to the restroom and changed. The shirt went all the way down to my thighs. He forgot to give me pants!
"Do you have any pants, Gajeel?" I asked as I slightly opened the door.
"I do, but it won't fit you," he said. I went out and set my clothes to the side. Luckily, the oversized shirt was enough to cover me.
"Where do I sleep?" I asked him.
"You can take my bed. I'm going to sleep in the couch," he said. He was about to head out when I grabbed the back of his shirt.
"If you like, we can share the bed," I suggested.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"I trust you," I answered. He gave me a heartwarming smile. He claimed the left side of the bed and I claimed the right.
"Goodnight, Levy," Gajeel said as he turned off the lights.
"Goodnight, Gajeel..."
What is this? Chapter 24 and there's still no romance! Argh! Nalu is my #1 priority right now, but it's so difficult to make it come true. On my book at least. I STILL PROMISE TO MAKE ALL THE SHIPS HAPPEN! I just need a little more time. Speaking of promises, give a warm welcome to our special guest. Master Makarov!
~~~
Makarov: It's a pleasure to be here, Author-san.
Author: Thank you for being patient with me, Master. I just needed to make more room for you. How are you?
Makarov: I'm doing fine, but I have a request for your book.
Author: I'm all ears.
Makarov: I haven't been mentioned in the book for a very long time and I was wondering if you can fix that.
Author: I'll do my best, but I also have to include other people as well. I want this book to be balanced.
Makarov: I know it's very selfish of me to ask those things, but why put somebody in a book if they are going to be there for only 2-3 chapters?
Author: I see your point. Very well, I shall try to include you more in my book as possible.
Makarov: Arigatou, Author-san.
Author: No, thank you. This is the only conversation I had with a special guest that's not crazy!
Makarov: I wouldn't be so sure about that...
Author: Really? Why?
Natsu: AHHHHH~!!!
Author: What the heck?!
Natsu: *lands face first on the ground*
Author: Where did he come from?
Makarov: Remember? You kicked him...
Author: That was a long time ago. He was perfectly fine before. Why is he here now?
Natsu: Erza... Cake... Not happy...
Author: Baka... (-_-)
Makarov: Don't worry. I'll take him to the hospital.
Author: Before you do though, shall we start the disclaimer?
Makarov: Author-san doesn't own Fairy Tail. Hiro Mashima does. If she did, she would've been the luckiest girl in the world.
Author: See you in the next chapter!
