Chapter Fifty: Goodbye
Here it is guys, the final chapter for this fanfic. I had so much fun writing this and it has been a great experience to share my story to all of you readers. Without further ado, let's get on with the Q&A!
•*•
Q1: What's your real name?
A1: Hi, guys! My name is Kaitlyn, but my friends and family call me KK. What's your name?
Q2: When is your birthday?
A2: February 2nd, which is also known as Ground Hogs Day!
Q3: How old are you?
A3: That depends. I sometimes act like a little kid, while other times I would act like a mature adult. I'm a mix, really. Though, I'm actually _ years old!
Q4: If you were the opposite gender, what would I do?
A4: Check to see if I have a male reproductive system. I mean, waking up to find out that I turned into the opposite gender would shock me, so it's normal for me to check to see if I'm really a guy.
Q5: What is your favorite OTP?
A5: NALU! OMFG NALU FTW! *faints*
Q6: Are you in a sport?
A6: Pffft. Have you seen me play sports? I'm a super non-athletic person, so it's really hard for me to join a sport. However, I'm currently in Color Guard and the members there are super nice and fun to be with. I love them so much.
<3
Q7: What's your ethnicity? Nationality?
A7: I'm 100% Asian! I'm half Taiwanese and half Vietnamese, but I was born and raised in America!
Q8: If you were a superhero, what would your name be?
A8: TheKonfusingKK! I love my username on Wattpad, so I'm going to use it for my superhero name. ^_^
Q9: What is your dream date?
A9: Going to Six Flags and riding on all the rides. Don't give me roses and chocolates or take me on a romantic dinner. Take me somewhere fun!
Q10: What is the stupidest thing you have ever done?
A10: To be honest, I've done a lot of stupid things. BUT! One of the stupidest things that I've done was I dropped two boxes of pizza to the ground and one got really messed up. I also hugged a stranger who I thought was my dad, so that was pretty stupid. Oh, I also spitted water all over my friend at math class. Don't ask how...
Q11: Who is your best friend?
A11: I have a lot of best friends, but one of them is aviifors! She my hubby. <3
Q12: What is your favorite anime? Saddest anime?
A12: I have way too many favorites, but other than Fairy Tail, I really like Nisekoi. For the saddest anime I've watched, it would be Your Lie in April. I knew the whole plot before watching it, but I still cried. The feels, man.
Q13: Who's your favorite YouTuber?
A13: *ahem* TOP OF THE MORNING TO YA, LADDIES. MY NAME IS JACKSEPTICEYE AND WELCOME BACK TO SOME MORE HAAAAAPY WHEEEEEELS!
Q14: What's your favorite food?
A14: If you knew me, you would know that I don't have just ONE favorite food. I have like bazillions of them.
Q15: If you could be one anime character for a day, who would it be?
A15: Mira, because OMG NALU IS TAKING SO LONG TO BE CANNON THAT I SHOULD JUST POSSESS MIRA AND HAVE THEM TOGETHER ALREADY! *clears throat* I promise, I'm not crazy.
Q16: What is one thing you like about yourself?
A16: Everything! I wouldn't change anything about myself, because I love who I am. <3
Q17: What is one unique trait about you?
A17: The ability to sing really high. I've been told constantly that my voice can go really high up, but I like it. ^_^
Q18: Who is your favorite celebrity?
A18: CHARLIE PUTH! HE'S THE DEFINITION OF PERFECTION! HOLY SHIZZZ! MY BAE! <3 <3 <3
Q19: If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
A19: If I had a superpower, I would have the ability to make people shut up. No offense, but some people just don't know when to chill.
Q20: What is one wish you have?
A20: I would wish for eternal happiness, because I believe there is no greater feeling than the feeling of being happy. (:

Author's POV:
Packing her bags, Lucy said her goodbyes to her friends and family, thinking that this would be the last time she would see them. Levy was the one who was affected the most, shedding overwhelming tears in front of her friend. Her dad was also affected, but he didn't cry as much as Levy, only producing a single tear down his right eye. Just remembering those moments made Lucy want to ball up in her bed and sob.
Hugging her dad, she made her way into the car, her chauffeur being Virgo. Lucy stared out the window, her mind wandering off to the dimmed sky. She didn't feel like talking, not having the energy to do so. Waking up at five in the morning and getting ready was already enough work as it is. Especially, since her flight was leaving at eight in the morning.
She wondered what the first thing she was going to do when her flight ends. Her dad was able to afford a condominium that was close to the university. She might go there, get settled in, and then take a walk on the busy streets. Perhaps, she could visit the Statue of Liberty one day. She could take pictures and send them to her friends, knowing that they would be jealous and wish her a good day.
Exiting her car, Lucy bid Virgo farewell and entered the airport. She couldn't see Natsu anywhere and she swore she told him everything he needed to know. She even texted him yesterday about the time and place, so there was really no excuse for him to not know where she was.
Checking her time, Lucy got a little impatient. It was currently five forty-five and Natsu still wasn't there. She paced around the building, hoping to calm her worked up nerves. She had to check in at six and Natsu had only fifteen minutes to bring the dog to her.
She didn't want to miss her flight and went to the airline desk to check in. Lucy kept checking constantly to see if Natsu was there, but he didn't show up. The lady who was working on the check-in desk took notice of Lucy's behavior.
"Hey, are you alright?" The lady asked.
Lucy turned her head to face her. "Oh, yes. Yes, I am. I'm just waiting for someone is all."
The lady nodded. "I'm sure he or she will show up soon."
Lucy somehow doubted that. Natsu had a tendency to be late to anything that was important. It reminded her of the time she got detention with him and he arrived ten minutes late. It didn't ease her at all.
After finishing the check-in station, Lucy went straight to the security checkpoint. The line was long with people of different race, beliefs, and values. Checking her phone, Lucy texted Natsu, wanting to know where he was. She waited for him to reply back, but there was no indication of him reading it. She grew more worried.
"Excuse me, miss?" The security officer asked. "Please, hand me your identification and boarding pass."
Lucy followed his orders and gave him her identification and boarding pass. The security officer then gave them back to her and gestured her to go to the screening machines. Lucy placed all her items into the bin and placed it on the conveyor belt. The agent waved her to go through the metal detector and she walked right through, retrieving her stuff afterwards.
Lucy checked her phone again, but there was still no response from Natsu. It was currently seven in the morning, which was an hour before she had to take off. She stopped by to get a cup of coffee, a large cappuccino with whipped cream and cinnamon on top. Lucy went to an unoccupied seat and sat there. She waited for the cappuccino to cool a little and took a little sip, savoring the warm, yet sweet taste.
Lucy felt a tap on her shoulder, but she thought it was her imagination. She then felt it again and turned around to find Natsu with her dog. She got up from her seat and immediately engulfed him in a hug, never feeling so happy to see the both of them.
"I thought you forgot," Lucy said, pulling away from the hug. "You had me so worried."
Natsu shook his head. "I had to make Wendy stay at home. She wanted to come with me and say goodbye to you."
"Why didn't you let her come with you?"
"She had to get ready to go to the dentist. She needs to do a regular check-up to see if she has any cavities and clean her teeth," Natsu answered.
Lucy giggled. "Tell Wendy that I'll miss her."
Natsu smiled. "Will do."
Checking her time, Lucy realized she had to leave. She only had five minutes to board the plane. She quickly finished her coffee in one, swift motion and left the cup on the table for the employee to clean it up.
"I have to go now, Natsu," Lucy said, leaving a two dollar tip on the table. "Thanks for bringing my dog!"
Lucy was about to leave, but not before Natsu got the opportunity to grab her hand. He didn't think very clearly before doing it. It just suddenly happened. The wanting for her to not leave really did drive him off the road to insanity. Was it really that hard for him to let her go?
Natsu held her hand tightly. "Before you go, I need to tell you something."
Lucy looked at the people already boarding the plane. "Fine, but it has to be quick."
Natsu nodded, bracing himself to tell her what had been on his mind this whole time. They say that when you love someone, you would let them go. To Natsu, however, it meant that they've stopped caring. When you love someone, you would do anything in your power to never let them go, because if you do, the only thing that will remain are the treasured memories the both of you had shared.
"I don't want you to go. I know it's selfish of me, but I didn't get to say what I wanted to say." Natsu's heart pounded harder, but he ignored the feeling and pressed on. "When Jellal told me that you were cheating on me for Gray, a part of me knew that you weren't the type of person to do that."
Lucy looked at the ground. "You still believed in him, anyway."
"I know, but not for the reason you think." Natsu placed his hands on Lucy's upper arm, his eyes still gazing into her's. "When my dad left me, I always blamed myself for making him leave. I would constantly ask myself what was wrong with me that was enough to drive him away. I never wanted to feel like that again, so when I broke up with you, I thought I wouldn't have to go through the same emotions like I did last time."
Lucy asked, "And did it work?"
Natsu shook his head. "I felt worse."
Her heart skipped. Her breathing hitched. Her cheeks reddened. Lucy knew what these signs mean, but why were they acting up now of all days? She had to go. She couldn't stay. She must fly to New York. So, why was she still standing there, talking and listening to Natsu?
He continued talking. "Losing you was like losing a piece of my heart that could never be replaced. I never understood what it was like to let someone special slip right through my fingers, until I lost you." Natsu released her from his grip and hugged her with nothing, but his love and devotion for her. "I don't care if we could never go back to the way things were, but I know that one thing's for sure, I will never let you out of my life again."
~PRESENT TIME~
"What happens after that, mama?" A little girl with pig-tails asked. The mother picked her up and let her sit on her thighs.
"She had to leave the boy behind," the mother answered.
The daughter pouted. "But, I thought she loved him. Why would she leave if she loved him?"
The mother chuckled. "Well, she had to go to school and get her master's degree there."
"Mommy?" The little girl called. "The boy said that he didn't want to let her out of his life, so why didn't he stop her from leaving?"
The mother was about to answer, but was then interrupted by the sound of a knock on the door. The daughter quickly got off from her mom's lap and raced to open the knob. Her eyes glistened when she found her dad standing in front of her with a smile casted on his face.
"Daddy!" The daughter exclaimed. "Mommy was just telling me a story."
The dad picked his little girl up. "Oh, really? What kind of story?"
"She was telling about a boy and a girl who love each other, but then they have to leave each other. It was really sad," said the little girl.
The dad looked at the mother. "Oh, really?"
The mother got a little frantic. "Oh, would you look at the time! It's time for you to go to bed, sweetie."
"Do I have to, mama?" The girl asked. "I still want you to finish the story."
The dad tucked his daughter to bed. "Maybe tomorrow, okay?"
The little girl sadly nodded. She really wanted to know what happened to the boy and girl. Do they ever see each other again? Do they ever go back together? What happened to the both of them? She had no idea.
"Fine, but you better keep your promise!"
The mom kissed her on the forehead. "I will, sweetie. Don't worry."
The mom and dad left the room together, switching the lights off in the process. They both made their way to their bedroom and lied down next to each other. The dad scooted closer to his wife and hugged her gently from the back.
"Can you finish the story for me?" The husband asked, burying his face to his wife's neck.
The wife giggled. "Stupid, you already know the story."
The husband smiled. "I know, but I want to hear it from you."
"Fine," the wife said, sighing at how easily she could be persuaded. "I went to NYU, but you missed me so much that you would always Skype me and tell me about your day."
The husband rolled his eyes. "I believe it was you that made the first Skype call. Am I right?"
"As if," scoffed the wife. "It was you that missed me the most."
The husband didn't deny it. "Must be because I love you more than you love me."
The wife gasped. "That's not true! I love you as much as you love me!"
The husband laughed and hovered over his wife, linking his hands with her's. He leaned down to her face and kissed her on the lips, sending sparks down into their stomachs. Before they had their daughter, the both of them thought they had reached their maximum capacity of love for each other. It never occurred to them that they're love had no limit at all.
"You know, our daughter has been complaining about being lonely in the house," the husband said.
The wife grew confused. "Doesn't she have us?"
"Well, yeah," the husband said, "but she told me that she wanted a little brother or sister."
"How on earth are we supposed to-" then it dawned to her. "Oh..."
The both of them blushed from embarrassment. They weren't ready at all when it came to starting a family. Their daughter came by as a surprise, because they weren't planning on having a kid so soon. However, they never regretted that moment when they both welcomed her into the world.
"Hey," the husband said, "I won't force you to do anything you don't want to do. If you don't want another baby, then I'll respect your decision."
The wife was now on top of her husband, placing her ear to where his heart was. "I do want another baby..." The husband's eyes widened. "I'm just not ready, yet."
The door slowly opened, making the couple break apart. They saw their sleepy daughter make her way to their bed. She was in between them, hugging her stuffed bunny for dear life. She did this on rare occasions, though.
"Can I sleep with you guys?" Their daughter asked, yawning at the end. "I feel lonely."
The mother caressed her head. "Sure thing, sweetie."
"We're thinking about giving you a brother or sister," the dad said, joining in the conversation. "How does that sound?"
The daughter shook her head. "I changed my mind." The parents were a bit taken back by her answer. "I want to be the only child."
"Just the other day, you told me you wanted a sibling. Why the sudden change?" The dad asked.
"Because," the daughter held the both of them close to her arms. "I'm afraid that you won't love me anymore and pay attention to the new baby instead..."
The mother looked at her husband and smiled. "Sweetie, we'll never stop loving you. We just thought that it would be nice to give you a sibling, so you won't have to feel lonely all the time."
The father nodded in agreement. "We'll love the both of you equally."
"Really?" The daughter asked, still a bit skeptical.
"Really," the parents said in unison.
The daughter mumbled a few words before falling asleep. The mother noticed this and tucked her into her warm blanket. She watched her daughter's breathing beginning to even out, a sign that she was in deep slumber.
"Hey," the husband said, getting his wife's attention. "I love you, Lucy."
The wife smiled and kissed him on the forehead. "I love you too, Natsu."

Completion: September 18, 2016
And that concludes the fanfic, Fairy Tail: High School. I want to say thanks to every one of my readers who voted, commented, or just simply read my story. When I first made this, it was never meant to have a serious/strict plot. I just wrote the first chapter and went on from there. I guess you could say that I just improvised everything.
I know this is just another one of those Fairy Tail High books and many of you thought that this story was unoriginal, but I don't think that's true. Every single book that has been made in this universe will always be different from each other. Unless you plagiarized, which you should never do.
I truly didn't think that many of you guys would want to read my book, since it was just another fanfic that would be lost from all of the other books, but I'm happy to say that we currently have over 170,000 reads and 8,000 votes! I had no idea that I could ever reach that high of a number. It was absolutely bizarre. I was just happy with the 200 reads I got last year. (>v<)
There are many things that I want to say, but I think there are some other people who want to say some things as well...
