Narrator: Natsu was tearing up the guild hall trying to figure out why Maddie hates Fallen so he could have a reason to punch someone's teeth in.

Meanwhile Maddie was hiding in the corner of the bar, hiding from them.

Narrator: Maddie grabbed her arm and covered her mouth then dragged her into the janitors closet.

After letting her go...

Cz: What's wrong with you?! We haven't conversed in days! I had to talk to Natsu! Natsu I tell ya! NATSU!

Maddie: Sorry but..

Cz: NO EXCUSES!

Maddie: ....

Cz: ...

OK fine excuses just stop with the awkward silence it's killing me!

Maddie: Sorry it's just that something VERY bad is happening to me right now...

Cz: Ok, lets go back to the awkward silence...

Maddie: No! Not that kinda problems!

Cz: Oh! Cause we're not that CLOSE!

Maddie: -giggles- Yeah...

Cz: So, what'd wanna....tell....me....-looks around slowly-

Maddie: -breathes out- Ok, your one of my two friends who I trust a lot so you gotta promise not to say a WORD!

Cz: When did we get a janitor...?

Maddie: Cz? Focus?

Cz: Is Mira the janitor or is there someone else?

Maddie: -_- And I failed. Forget it.

Cz: Wait! Sorry! I was just wondering!

So, tell me. What is it?

Maddie: It's uh...what happened last night...

Cz: You mean that party I couldn't go since I was forced to stay at home because you didn't TELL me? THAT party?

Cz: Oh cool! What happened?

Maddie: It was awoken...

Cz: What was?

Maddie: -sighs- Might as well just...-leans over and whispers in her ear-

Natsu: Wait...what were you doing in the janitors closet?

Maddie: Heh, well I was--

Natsu: Wait, do we even have a janitor?

Cz: That's what I asked!

Natsu: Anyways, now your gonna tell me the story.

Maddie: Story? I have a lot of stories! >^3^< Which one?

Natsu: The one between you and Fallen. Why do you hate her so much?

Maddie: -sighs- Well...it was back in grade 1 when I was five...

Natsu: Ugh. Is it gonna take long?

Maddie: Well I'm starting from the very begging so...

Natsu: -groans- Now I regret thiiiis...

Maddie's POV

It was a bright morning. I just woke up and my mom drove me to school. It's lonely there. I don't have any siblings. Mom and dad has been acting weird recently and I don't know why.

Mom walked me to my class. I gripped her hand tightly. I was nervous. I just lost my front tooth and I'm scared they'll make fun of it.

As mom opened the door, I hid behind her. The teacher looked this was, smiling at my mom and me.

"Hello! You must be Mrs. Wellington!" The woman of the class smiled, getting up from the table surrounding with children.

As she stopped in front of mom, I hid deeper behind mom long, silky, peach dress dad got for her for her birthday last month.

Mom smiled. "Yes, I am."

The teacher squared down to my size. "And you must little Maddison! Nice to meet you! I'm Ms. Foxx!"

I slowly emerged from behind mom. I wasn't that scared.

I nodded slowly.

Teacher smiled and got back up. "Don't worry, she's in good care."

"Alright. Bye honey, I'll see you later ok? Be good!" My mom blew me a kiss and I caught it, kissed it and placed it on my forehead, giving her a toothy grin. Just missing a tooth. It was out tradition since last year in February.

Teacher took my hand and walked me over to a table with a boy with orange hair and another boy with blonde hair playing together with some blocks.

"Alright everyone! May I have your attention?"

Everyone's eyes were up to the front. Everyone grabbed some air from the side of their heads and threw it at teacher, giggling.
"We have a new student! Everyone, this is Maddie. Maddie, this is everyone!"

I gripped her hand a little tight for a second then I have a small smile.

"She's new so I expect everyone to be nice to her ok?"

"Yes Teacher!"

Teacher smiled and took me back to that table before and sat me next to the orange-haired boy.

"Maddie, you can play for the remainder of the time until play time ok?"

I nodded.

When she left, I just sat there.

In the corner of my eye, I saw the boy with orange hair looking at me.

"..."

It was horrible...

I never wanna go back...

I ran from the school area over to the grassy hill in the distance with the pink leaves falling from the tree on it.

I cried as I ran.

I missed mommy. I missed daddy.

I tripped on a rock and landed flat on my face.

I crawled, my face covered in little mud. I sat under the tree by the hill and buried my face in my knees.

Stupid idiots...

Well, when it was time for school to over I was heading out the class. I didn't make any friends. I didn't talk to anyone. I didn't want to open my mouth because of my tooth.

But when I was entering the front yard, a couple of third graders, it looked like, confronted me and cornered me.

"Hey shrimp! Nice outfit! Is the garbage site still opened?"

They all snickered.

I squeezed my eye shut as one of them stuffed a chocolate frosting cupcake in my face.

They threw more insults at me, including some with my tooth then left. But not without punching me in my arm.

Harshly.

It left a bruise.

That's when I started crying and running.

As I was crying, there was crunching of grass.

I hopefully hoped that it was mom. I looked up, my face tear stained. It wasn't mom but the boy with the orange hair who say next to me.

He was holding a friz-bee in his hand, staring down at me.

"Hey, you ok?" He tilted his head like a confused puppy.

I didn't answer. I sniffed and rubbed my eyes as tears forced their way out.

He crawled down and sat next to me.

"I remember when I was new here. It was scary too but I made friends and it was fun from then. You should make friends too."

I blinked and sniffed again. "B-But I don't h-have any f-friends here..." I stammered out.

"Well...I can be your friend...i-if you want, of course."

I gave him a small smile. "I'd like that..."

"Well then! I'm Luke!" He grinned. He stood up and extended his arm. "What's yours?"

"M-Maddie."

I took his hand. He led me back to the school yard while telling me a little about himself.

I made my first friend...

"Hey Maddie!"

"Hey!"

We were in fifth grade and its bin about four years since I met Luke.

Ever since grade one we've been best friends.

Inseparable.

I smiled as I neared Luke.

He was standing outside the front door the theater behind school.

I jogged up the front steps and high-fived him.

We walked.

"I can't believe we get to be in the play together! Our first play!"

"YOUR first play." He corrected, smiling with his hands in his pocket.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. In still excited! Aren't you?!"

"Not really. I've been in a play before already."

"I know! You've told me several times!" I giggled.

"Just makin' it clear." he put his hands up defensively.

"Well its crystal."

"Your comebacks are lame, have I ever told you that?"

"Shut up!" I punched his arm.

He laughed. "Sorry! "

"You better be!" I pouted.

Our teacher was in front of the stage, watching the older kids putting up decorations.

I tapped her shoulder and she whirled her body around.

"Oh! Maddie! Your here early! "

"Sorry I'm just super excited!" I admitted, anxious.

"I like that about you! That's why you'll be playing the part as the star! The sprightly, bubbly girl who sees beauty in everything!"

"Super!"

"And you, Mister Luke, weren't you a...tree last year?"

Wait, hold on.

I puffed my cheeks and bit my lip trying not to laugh.

"Y-Yes..."

"Well good news for you! You just got promoted from tree number three...again...to the substitute of the male star!"

"W-What?! Um, heh, no thanks! I'll just rather be a tree--!"

"Oh no! Billy! Take that down! That won't do!" She ignored his statement and rushed over to the boy who was hanging up the decors.

That's when I burst into laughter.

"Hm? What's so funny?"

"Y-You were a TREE?!" I laughed out.

His face grew a bright red. "N-No! Well, yes but--well--IN MY DEFENSE I WAS AN AWESOME TREE!"

I just laughed more. I gripped my stomach as I fell to the ground. "I-I-I can't b-breathe!! A tree! I can't!"

He crossed his arms and puffed his red cheeks. "Well, if your gonna act that way..."

I soon calmed down. "I-Im sorry. It was just--A Tree! Wow! Why?"

"I don't know...I was just picked to be a tree..." He stuffed his hands in his pocket.

I patted his back. "Well, you'll do great as the substitute!"

"Oh, ha ha."

"Maddie! Luke! Come over here please!"

"Coming!" I grabbed his hand. "C'mon!"

"This is Fallen. Fallen, this is Luke and Maddie. Fallen's my granddaughter who'll be the twin sister of Maddie!"

The girl was about our age. She had blonde hair and blue eyes.

She smiled. "Hi! I'm happy to be starring with you two!"

"Heh! Thanks! You too!" Maddie smiled.

Fallen smiled at Luke. Like, REALLY smiled.

"So, your Luke right?"

Luke looked down and patted himself. "Um I....think so..."

Fallen giggled. Like those perky cheerleader giggles. Yuck...

I just stood next to Luke. Staring the hell out of her.

What is she up too?

Are trying to steal my best friend?

You just f***ed with the wrong girl...

"W-What?!"

It was a couple minutes until stage time.

Madam was eyeing me rudely, accusing me of stealing her granddaughter's outfit Which I DIDN'T do!

"Well, it was found in YOUR bag!'

"But I didn't do it! Ask Luke! He was....with Fallen the whole day..."

Yep. They hung out all day. Without me...

I'm not mad...at him atleast...

"Well, I'm sorry but I can't have you in my play if your gonna steal the students' clothes."

I opened my mouth but nothing came out.

She walked off. "Set curtain! Fallen, be prepared to be the star role ok?! Where Amanda? She needs to be the twin!"

Just great..

I sighed, walking from the backstage.

I bet that girl set me up...

Maybe that's what she was doing in my dressing area by my bag earlier.

I'm such a moron...

Maddie: Shut up!

Natsu: So....did you ever get her back for what she did?

Maddie: Well, no. I really never had 'proof' she really did it. But I know she did.

Natsu: Congrats. I just lost interest. But I do have a question.

Maddie: Throw it at me.

Natsu: After all you guys been through, did you ever start to like him?

Maddie: Who?

Natsu: -_-

Maddie: Oh! Luke? Pshh! Are you crazy?! I-I would never! I don't! Never! I never ever did! I mean, c'mon! I-I-- -scoffs- Lay off the sodas Natsu! Your asking stupid questions again! I gotta run! Bye! -runs off-

Natsu: -shouts- I'LL REMEMBER THAT!

Maddie: -shouts from distance- I'LL BEAT IT OUTTA YOU IN THE MORNING!

Luke: Hey, was that Maddie?

Natsu: Mmmmmmhm....>3>

Luke: Um...what's with that look...?

Natsu: She told me the stowy...

Luke: Ok...? Um, congrats?

Why did you wanna know it anyway?

Natsu: Oh, no reason...

Heh, not because Mira threatened to kill me if I didn't get something good on her otp! That's for sure!

Luke: -rolls eyes- Mmhm...

Natsu: Heh, gotta go! YO ERZA! YOU OF SOME BACK STORY 'SPLAININ' TO DO!

Luke: At least they're the only weirdos--

Cz: -jumps on table- CAN SOME PLEASE TELL ME WHO THE FUCK THE JANITOR IS!!!??!!
