POV: Natsu

"No! Lucy!" I screamed, struggling against Gray and Erza as they tried to pull me away from Lucy's body. "Lucy! Please! Please Lucy come back to me!" I continued to struggle.

'Ba-dump!'

I gasped.

'Did I just hear, what I think I heard?'

I listened a little closer.

'Ba-dump!'

I gasped again.

"Wait!" I yelled. "She's not dead! She's not dead!" I yelled happily. Gray and Erza started to exchange looks, probably questioning my sanity.

"Natsu." Erza said. "You must except it!"

"No, no no!" I said still trying to get away from them to know for sure, myself. "I heard it!"

"Heard what?" Juvia asked.

"Her heartbeat!" I said. "I swear it was Lucy's heartbeat!"

"Gajeel did you hear anything?" Levy asked, with hope in her voice.

"No." Gajeel said. "I didn't hear anyth-"

'Ba-dump!'

Gajeel gasped and turned towards Lucy's body.

'Ba-dump!'

"I-I heard it!" He said looking at me. I grinned wildly, and finally escaped Gray's and Erza's grasp. I ran at Lucy a skidded to hult on my knees.

"Lucy?" I asked shaking her but to get her to wake up. But she didn't. I shook her a little harder. "Lucy?" I bent down and put my ear to her chest a listened.

'Ba-dump . . . Ba-dump . . . Ba-dump!'

I smiled and started to cry.

"She's alive!" I cried out. I sat up crying tears of joy.

"Would someone please go get Porlyusica?" Gramps asked the group.

"Already did." Said a voice that I haven't heard for a long time.

"Jellal?" Erza asked as he and Porlyusica walked up to greet Gramps.

"Well Jellal, what brings you here?" Gramps asked. "Not that I'm complaining."

"I got a bad feeling last week. And made my way here as fast as I could. I also felt like Fairy Tail would need some extra help." Jellal said pointing to Porlyusica. She 'hmphed' and then sighed.

"Stupid humans." She said. "Your lucky I even agreed to come here. Now let's get Lucy and everyone inside. At least inside of what's left of the guild."

"Alright." Levy cheered, and took off running into the guild. "I'll go make sure that the infirmary is still intact!"

"I'll help." Gajeel said as he took off after her. I leaned down and carefully picked Lucy up into my arms.

'Alrighty Lucy, let's get you better.'

I walked into the guild right behind Gramps, Jellal, and Porlyusica. As I made my way to the infirmary I looked around at the damage that had been done.

"Damn!" I said. "Levy, maybe tone it down a bit next time you make a tornado storm the place!" I yelled teaseingly at her as she was almost to the infirmary she stopped out side the doorway and tuned to me.

"Shut up!" She yelled. I started laughing at her as her face because it was red from embarrassment, by how much damage she caused to the guild. "You want a peice of me?" She said teasingly as she stepped forwards, Gajeel caught the back of her dress and pulled her over his shoulder.

"Oh no you don't shrimp."Gajeel said as Levy tried to fight back but was failing.

"God damn it Gajeel!" She half yelled half laughed. Gajeel started laughing as well.

'Everyone seems happier now that they know Lucy is going to be okay.'

Levy and Gajeel walked into the infirmary, and I could hear them moving some things around. I walked into the infirmary to see that Levy and Gajeel had moved things out of the way so that there was a bed and space around it, while everything else was destroyed. Wood beams from the ceiling had fallen to the floor. Most of the beds were on there sides or thrown across the room. I genitally placed Lucy on the bed.

"Alright everyone out." Porlyusica barked. "Except for Makorav, Jellal, and Kiara." Kiara was a bit shocked that her name was said but stayed as eveyone but me, and the asked people, filed out of the room. I grabbed Lucy's right hand and held it in mine for a few seconds.

"Come on Natsu, she'll be alright." Gramps told me. I nodded and squeezed Lucy's hand a bit tighter before I left the room.

'Something doesn't feel right.'

As I walked out into what was left of the main hall Porlyusica closed the door behind me. Everyone stood around for a few minutes while we waited. But I couldn't stand still, so I decided to start moving most of the wood beams that had fallen. And soon everyone started to clean things up everywhere. I tried to lift a larger beam but had a hard time getting it over my shoulder to carry it out side.

"Need some help?" I heard Gray ask from behind me. I turned to look at him over my shoulder. To be honest I didn't exactly want to talk to him at the moment, but I nodded anyway. He walked over to the other side and we carried it out to the stack with the rest of the broken beams. "Look Natsu, I'm sorry about what happened earlier."

"I don't want to hear it." I said, as I started to walk away from him but he caught my arm.

"Well you don't have to listen but I really need to say it, or else I'm going to blow up on someone." Gray said. I sighed and turned to face him.

"I'm listening." I said.

"Look, I'm sorry about how I acted when you tried to tell us that Lucy was still alive." Gray started. "To be honest I thought you where just at the denial stage of grieving, so I was trying to snap you out of it. And then when you said that you heard heartbeat. I want to let you go to see for myself, but I figured that it was me starting to grieve again. And when Gajeel said he heard her heart beat too, I let you go out of pure shock that she was still alive. So I'm sorry, that I didn't believe you." I smiled a little bit at him.

"Honestly when I first said that she wasn't dead, it was out of grief." I admitted. "I didn't want to have to admit that I lost her again."

"We all thought we lost her again, you as well." Gray said.

"Aww!" I said. "Frozen freak missed me." I teased.

"Don't start that shit with me." Gray said, and we both laughed a little.

"Anyway, when you and Erza started to pull me away from Lucy, I felt like if I left her side I was going to fall apart from the inside out." I continued. "And when I heard her heartbeat, I thought I was going insane. And when Gajeel said he heard it to, I felt like I was the happiest man alive."

"Yeah." Gray said. He then glanced over at Juvia who was helping Happy move some floor boards that had been smashed. "I think I feel the same way about someone to."

"You should tell her." I said. Gray looked at me questionably.

"Who?" He asked stupidly.

"Juvia." I said nodding towards her. "Tell her Gray. Believe me, you don't want to wait to long to tell her."

"Look at the dumb ass giving dating advice." Gray smirked. I growled at him. "Anyway, you sound like your talking like you lost your chance to tell Lucy. Natsu she's still alive. You still have a chance."

"Yeah." I said looking at the ground as I walked away. "But I've got a bad feeling."

Time skip: About 1 hour

POV: Gray

With the help of everyone, we had pretty much cleaned everything up from inside the guild, and all that we had to do was rebuild everything that got destroyed. Which was pretty much the whole guild. But right now we were sitting down taking a break while we waited to hear anything about Lucy. I sat on a half broken bench with Juvia next to me, leaning on my shoulder asleep. I looked down at her thinking.

'Maybe Flame Brains right. I should tell Juvia how I feel soon.'

Juvia snored a light little snore, so quiet it sounded like it belonged to a baby.

'So cute!'

Then the door to the infirmary opened and Jellal and Kiara started to walk out. I shook Juvia a little to wake her up, knowing that she would probably want to know what's going on.

"Juvia wake up. They've got news on Lucy." I said as her eyes slowly opened.

"They do?" She asked. Her eye started to close again and I shook her a little to keep her awake. "Juvia's tired." She whispered.

"Yeah, I know. I am too." I said. We all had fought hard today. And everyone was proably tired. "How about after we hear the news I'll take you home?"

"Juvia likes that idea." She said, and I helped her stand up. She leaned on me a bit to keep her balance as we made our way to the front of the group. And we joined Natsu, Erza, Gajeel, Levy, and Happy right as Gramps and Porlyusica came out of the infirmary.

"Well my children!" Gramps spoke loudly after taking a deep breath. "What do you wish to know first? The little bit of good news? Or the bad news?" Everyone thought about it for a few moments.

"The good news!" Natsu said.

"Well Lucy's alive." Gramps said.

"What's the bed news?" Gajeel asked.

"Well, there's a lot of that." Gramps said. "Umm. . . . Kiara? Would you like to explain? Since you understand it better then anyone else." Kiara nodded and stepped forwards.

"So when Lucy was battling the evil side of me, when we were in the clouds, Lucy ran out of magic." Kiara started to explain. "And she then chose to do something that not all mages can do, and that's take magic from a different source."

"How did she do that?" I asked.

"Well only extremely strong mages who have studied and practiced it for years can extract magic from other sources. And because I gave Lucy my magic ability's, that made it easier to use a different source of magic. The only thing was that the source she was using was a very stupid choice." Kiara folded her hands in front of herself.

"Why is that?" Erza asked.

"Because the source that Lucy used, was and extremely strong source which aloud her to use large amounts of energy if she wished to." Kiara said as she started to pace.

"And that's what she did?" Natsu asked this time. Kiara nodded. "What source did she use? Your magic?"

"No, no. But, I wish she did." Kiara said as she stopped pacing and turned towards Natsu. "She used her soul." Everyone gasped loudly.

'Lucy used her soul as a magic source to keep fighting Kiara?'

"Also when she brought us down to the ground she used a small amount to boost herself. But when she purified my soul and set my guild members free of the spell that attached me to them she . . . " Kiara started to drift off.

"She . . . what?" Gajeel asked looking at Levy, she looked at him with a bit of panic in her eyes.

"She used up practically all of her soul's magic energy to set my guild members free, and then she used her own soul to filter my soul. So the darkness that was attached to me is now attacking her soul." Kiara said trying not to cry. "To be honest I'm surprised that she's still alive."

"Is she going to die?" Natsu asked, holding his breath.

"No." Kiara answered plainly. Natsu let go of the large amount of air he was holding. "But."

"But what?" Natsu asked.

"Do to the darkness that she excepted from my soul it is keeping her unconscious." She said. "And we tried everything we could to get the darkness to leave, but nothing worked."

"What are you trying to say Kiara?" Natsu said, already knowing the answer like the rest of us, yet it seemed that we all needed to hear it for ourselves.

"Lucy, will probably never wake up."
