Chapter 5- Reunion Of Tears.

At first, the thought of making breakfast for the blue haired girl sounded so easy in Romeo's mind.

Oh how wrong he was about that.

Because Romeo missed one slight step in his plan.

And what may that plan be?

Simple.

The dark purple haired boy can't, and never in his entire 17 years of living, cooked for himself a proper meal, nevertheless for anyone at all.

But, it won't hurt to try, right?

Wrong.

He sighed in frustration at the 10th burned pancake in front of him. He rubbed his head with his hand, messing up his bed haired purple hair even more then it already was.

How the hell did people who know how to actually cook, actually....cooked?!

It confused Romeo as to how he had managed to burn over 10 pancakes.

A giggle that was heard coming from behind him snapped him out of his thoughts. Whipping his head around swiftly, he stared at the blue haired girl, who was still wearing her black cloak from yesterday since she didn't really get the chance to take it off.

"You don't really have to cook if you don't know how too." Said Wendy to Romeo, slowly approaching him and the mess of pancakes he had created. Romeo pouted at this.

"But I really wanted to make breakfast for you." Said Romeo with a small cute crinkle of his nose and puffed out cheeks. Wendy wanted to hug the purple haired boy so badly at the moment, but chose not too, as she didn't want to make the said boy uncomfortable.

So, she chose to only pinch his cheeks, which earned her a whine from the purple haired boy, as she giggled at him once again.

And so, the two ended up spending their morning while messing around the kitchen a bit and eventually cooking breakfast for the both of them to satisfy their undying hunger.

Wendy was laughing the whole time, which was like music to Romeo's ears. The purple haired boy felt proud that he was the cause of her beautiful laughter and giggling self.

"Hey Wendy?" Called Romeo over to the blue haired girl after they had successfully finished their breakfast.

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to come to the guild with me today?" Asked Romeo to her, carefully visualising her reaction all while still stuffing pancakes in his mouth.

Wendy, who had decided to take a sip of her orange juice right after she had ushered for the boy to tell her what he wanted to say to her, choked on her juice.

Romeo's eyes widdened at Wendy's now uncontrollable coughing fit, as he quickly ran over and poured the blue haired girl a cup of water.

Taking and gulping the said water swiftly, Wendy sighed in satisfaction when the water that had ran down her throat, was able to stop the annoying fit of coughing that she had unintentionally got stuck into.

"I-I'm so sorry Wendy!! I--"

"N-No!! It's okay Romeo really." Said Wendy, waving her hands in front of her chest while smiling at the boy awkwardly. "It was-- it was just unexpected of you to, well--"

"N-No! Sorry! I shouldn't of asked such a thing." Said Romeo as he swiftly bowed in front of the blue haired girl who giggled at the boy's adorable behavior.

"Romeo." Called Wendy to the bowing boy who slightly raised his head to look at her upon hearing her call. "Raise your head, you don't have to bow at me for such a thing."

Romeo chuckled slightly at this, as he was now straightly standing in front of the blue haired girl.

"S-Sorry, it was out of reflects."

"Reflects? Wow. Your so polite then."

"Not really." Said Romeo as he took his seat across from the sky dragon slayer once again. Looking at her with soft eyes, Romeo eyed the smiling girl.

Reaching over the table for her hand, he entwined it into his, giving it a slight reassuring squeeze.

"Why don't you want to come to the guild?" Asked Romeo to her, as he softly caressed her small hand with his thumb.

Wendy, who was slightly dazed by the purple haired boy's hand into her's, only gulped at him in response.

Thought Romeo didn't really notice her slight daze.

"Are you...afraid?"

Wendy's eyes snapped open towards the boy at this.

"...huh?"

"Are you afraid to see the guild again after all these years?" Asked Romeo to her, reformulating his question to her.

Wendy furrowed her eyebrows at this, as a frown had now made it's way on her face.

"It's not the 'reunion again with the guild after all these years that I'm afraid off." Said Wendy followed by a sigh, squeezing Romeo's hand slightly. "I'm...afraid of their reactions."

"Reactions?"

"I know they don't hate me now." Said Wendy with a slight shake of her head. She then smiled, while chuckling softly. "Hell, I know they don't even hate Natsu and Grey. They would never do after all..."

Romeo smiled at the fact that Wendy had no doubt about the love that her fellow Fairy Tail guild members carried for her.

Not only for her, but for everyone in the guild. No matter who it was, or what they did. They could never hate one another.

"Then? What do you mean?"

"I--I'm afraid if my thoughts are wrong." Said Wendy with a frown. "I can't help it. I keep imagining everyone bashing and hating on me. I-"

"Wendy."

Wendy gasped softly when she felt Romeo's arms around her shoulders.

He was hugging her.

But...when did he leave the grasp that he had on her hand?

Averting her eyes down a little, Wendy was surprised to see that Romeo's hand was still squeezing her's ever so tightly.

"All these negative thoughts." Wispered Romeo to her as he kissed her temple, which made a warm feeling to appear in Wendy's stomach. "All these negative feelings and thoughts, you throw them away in the deepest hole that you can find in your mind."

She laughed at this, as she herself started to also to hug the boy who smiled at the sound of her laugh.

"Because, as you said, no one in this guild could ever hate you, or team Natsu."

She felt like crying at his words, but held it all in.

"Your to important for us." Said Romeo in almost a wisper. "And I just realised your also to important to me."

It was so quietly and so softly that he said, but Wendy was still able to hear it.

And oh how much she was grateful of being born a dragon slayer with advanced hearing in moments like these.

"Thank you." Said Wendy, a wimper coming out of her, as her bottom lip quivered. "This means s-so much to me. Thank you Romeo."

Romeo smiled against her shoulder that he had been keeping his head on for a while now.

"Your welcome, Wendy." Said Romeo, kissing her clothed shoulder softly, then giving the exposed croock of her neck a small kiss as well.

Wendy sighed in content at the gesture, that had made shivers run down her spine.

"Come on now." Said Romeo as he broke their hug, but had still kept both of his hands wrapped on her small waist. "Let's go to our home."

A soft giggle was let out of Wendy's mouth at Romeo's words, as a tear escaped her brown eyes.

That tear was soon quickly wiped by Romeo, as he grabbed her hand and started guiding her outside of his apartment, and towards the Fairy Tail guild.

The place that Wendy had missed so much.

Laxus groaned in frustration after hearing Mira's words.

"Just...shut them up somehow."

A perfectly shaped white eyebrow of Mira's was raised at her boyfriend because of his simple response to her question.

"Shut them up somehow? Your kidding right?" Asked Mira to him, crossing both of her arms over her chest.

Laxus gritted his teeth, as he fisted both of his hands on his desk.

"What else can we do?!" Yelled Laxus, slamming both of his fisted hands on his wooden desk.

Mira flinched at Laxus sudden outburst, but looked at him with soft sympathetic eyes once spotting his face clearly.

Dark circles were coloring his eyes, and heavy black bags could clearly be shown under his eyes from all the lack of sleep he was getting.

The poor man hadn't slept for days.

"These shitty and damn reporters are demanding answers from us every single day for the past fucking week that this incident had happened?! How the fuck do you want me to handle this, huh?! How?! What should I do?!"

Mira bit her bottom lip, to prevent herself from crying for the tired man in front of her.

"I.....Mira...I..." Said Laxus hopelessly, as he dropped his gaze on the now damaged table because of his coating hands. "I'm tired Mira..."

Mira didn't waste a second in quickly rushing over the blonde haired man and enveloping him in her embrace, once she saw the tears that he had tried so hard to keep in, flow doen his cheeks like a waterfall.

"I-I'm so tired Mira." Choked Laxus as he weakly hugged the white haired girl back. "I want to do something......anything.....just to fix this but, I--"

"I know." Said Mira patting her boyfriend on his back softly. "I know."

Laxus closed both of his eyes as he finally relaxed in the girl's arms.

The girl who was uncomfortably crouching down in front of him just so that she can hug the man.

Just so that she can comfort him a little bit.

But her warm embrace on the man was soon cut short, by the sound of her younger sister desperately calling for her downstairs.

Not only for her, but for Laxus as well.

"Mira!! Laxus!! Get down here now!!"

"Coming!!" Yelled Mirajane over to her as Laxus slowly broke away from the girl's arms, and scooted away from her. Laxus got up, without forgetting to wear his coat and wipe at his tears quickly, as he made his way towards the door nob to his office.

But before he could twist the door open, he was cut off by Mira's hands slowly cupping his face.

"Hey now." She said, caressing his face with her soft white and delicate hands. "Smile now. For me. For all of us."

A smile indeed made it's way on the tired man's face once she finished her words.

A small nod from the man was also all it took for a smile to adore Mira's face as well.

"Mira!! Laxus!!"

Mira laughed at her sister's constant calling for them.

"Let's go." Said Laxus shaking his head while grabbing Mira's hand as he guided her down the stairs with him.

Once they did reach the bottom of the stairs, they were surprised to see a huge crowd of all the Fairy Tail mages in front of their guild's doors.

Mira and Laxus furrowed their eyebrows confusingly at this.

"What's going on?" Asked Laxus out loud, voicing his and Mira's exact thoughts at the scene in front of them.

Lisanna small face was then shown in their vision being squeezed in her way over to them.

"Guys!! Look who's back!!"

"Who--?"

Laxus's voice got stuck in his throat once he got a clear view of the popular person that had made all of his guild mates so excited.

His eyes widdened in shock once he had spotted the face of the petite blue haired girl, that was not so petite anymore.

She was all grown up now.

"L-Laxus-s--san!!" Exclaimed Wendy as she quickly gave the blonde haired man and 90° bow, which made the said man chuckle at.

She hasn't changed one bit.

That thought made him smile, small tears making their way into the bottom of his eyes.

Wendy, who was still bowing to the man out of respect, was surprised when the said man lifted her up by her shoulders, and gave her a bone crushing hug.

Some of the guild members smiled at Laxus's gesture, while others like Mira cried at the reunion.

"Welcome home, Wendy." Said Laxus into the small girl's shoulder, as he tried his best to not let his voice crack.

Wendy smile happily at this, tears forming in her eyes, as her voice cracked while uttering her next words--

"I--I'm h--home."

★○★

'Home sweet home.' Thought the brown cloaked figure, gazing at the streets of the town that the cloaked figure was practically raised in.

The brown cloaked figure walked slowly, with hesitant and small steps, in the streets of the rowdy town of Magnolia. The gaze of stranger went left and right, as it tried it's best in memorizing all the streets that the figure once knew so well a long time ago.

"Get the last news from here!! Get your latest news from here for only 500 jewels!!" Yelled an old man from the sidewalk, waving a news paper of Magnolia's latest news in his hand.

"Whoa!! Why so cheap?" Asked a young brown haired man as he slowly approached the old man with the money that he requested for him to get the paper in his hand, ready to be given to the old grey haired man.

"Sales have been going through the roof because of what these Fairy Tail mages did!! I gotta cheap up the price to get people's attention." Laughed the old man out as he handed the young man one of the news papers while taking the money for it with the other.

The young brown haired man laughed at this, catching the attention of the brown cloaked figure at his next words.

"Hell, I feel like these mages did all of this on purpose to get their fame back once again."

The figure gritted it's teeth tightly, a scowl leaving it's mouth as it fisted both of it's hands.

"For whatever reason they did it they sure are helping me get a lot of money."

As the two continued to joke around and laugh with each other once again, the cloaked figure quickly scuried away from them, as it was unable to hear them trash talk it's friends any longer.

It had been a week.

A full bloody week of that incident.

Couldn't these people just let it go already?

The cloaked figure slammed their fist into the trunk of a tree that the figure had manage to hind behind it without anyone noticing.

The brown cloaked figure's fisted hand started to bleed because of it's impact with the hard trunk of the tree, since the figure's hands were too delicate to take that much of a force.

That's right.

They were too delicate.

Too weak.

Too useless.

She was always useless after all.

The cloaked figure choked on her spit, as a sob was heard coming out of her mouth, her hand quickly making It's way towards her mouth so that she can cover it.

Useless.

That's what she was.

That's what she always was.

'If...if I was stronger....if I was stronger I could've...'

Tears started to drip out of her unseen face and into the green grass beneath her.

'Natsu....Gray....I'm sorry...

I'm sorry for being useless...'
