Encounter || Jellal
Change of plans. Doing Jellal first, and then Gajeel. I just wanted to post a chapter and I had Jellal's written first. Anyways, don't forget to comment and vote! Thanks!

Dammit.
What have I done?
Those same words are a constant in your dreams, never leaving your memory. They haunt you, just like your actions on that day do.
It's a surprise you lived through it really, seeing how you were only eight years old and had no idea how to work a piece of machinery like that.
All you knew was that he was a threat, and how to pull a trigger.
I'm eighteen, I should be able to live with my actions ten years later.
You continuously told yourself that over and over ever since you moved into your own apartment. It was quaint, and the walls were adorned with a couple cracks, but it worked for you.
Most of your possessions weren't that great of quality, but you made do. Telling yourself that it was what you deserved made you appreciate them more.
Even at eighteen, it was hard to live with the guilt of killing a man. The memory and bright color of blood were vivid, and you dreamt of it every night. You lived with your mom, and one night she took you to a nice restaurant, a treat for your eighth birthday. Only, it didn't go how you planned.
A group of insane men and women under the heavy influence of alcohol stormed the place with guns. They were unaware of their harmful actions, but they were still a threat nonetheless.
They shot a family of three, and then a couple people sitting at the bar. In a chaotic mess, everyone started screaming and evacuating. Your mom had been caught up in the crowd, and was desperately searching for you.
Even at eight years old, you had a brave, noble character. You snatched up a gun laying on the floor, aimed it at one of the assailants, and pulled the trigger.
In horror, you watched the blood ooze out of his chest, and he collapsed onto the ground.
No one saw you. No one could convict you. That was the part you wished could have gone differently.
After weeks of crying to your mom about it, you began visiting a therapist. In order to keep your mom from worrying about you, you suppressed your feelings and claimed that therapy had worked. She bought the act.
But now, she wasn't around. You were off on your own. Free to let your memories haunt you. Free to no longer fake a smile.
Deciding that you were done reflecting on the past, you put on your business coat and exited the apartment. It was time for some fresh air.
As you made your way through the town, a couple shouts could be heard in one of the alleyways. You ran towards the sound, and noticed a young man being mugged.
I won't let this injustice stand.
As you were running towards the group of attackers to protect the victim, another man dropped from the rooftop of a building with his back facing you.
Could this be another one of the attackers?
Suddenly, more people jumped down to join the blue-haired man. One was a small girl with bubblegum pink hair, and the other woman had straight jet black hair.
Who...are these people?
"I advise you to step back before me and the others pulverize you." The voluptuous black haired lady said with a sly smirk. The younger girl behind her nodded, and the man in the middle stayed silent. Walking over towards the victim, he whispered a couple words, and the poor man seemed to calm down.
You continued to stand in confusion.
"We are from Crime Sorcière, and we don't tolerate these kinds of acts." The stoic voice of the man said.
Crime...Sorcière?
All of a sudden, one of the attackers was thrown past your head. You covered your mouth, not wanting to let out a small gasp. The others sprinted off with screams and shouts of terror, and the victim let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank you, Jellal." He smoothed his brown hair as he thanked the large male standing between his female companions. Jellal nodded in appreciation as the man he saved ran off.
"Well done Meredy. You're getting much stronger." The black haired woman praised the smaller girl with a smile.
"Thanks Ultear!" She giggled back.
Uh...should I go? You wondered. The situation was already taken care of, so there really was no reason to stick around. Straightening your jacket, you turned around and began walking away silently.
"Hey, who's she?" You heard the girl's voice and froze.
"Hey! Come back!" She called out to you. Turning back around, you faced the three people who had claimed to be part of Crime Sorcière.
"What's your name?" The blue haired male asked as he neared you.
You looked down. Not in fear or embarrassment, but in shame.
"I'm no one." You stated simply. After saying that, your eyes widened.
Did I really just say that? Ugh, I'm such an idiot. Now they'll think I'm just asking for attention...
Warmth filled your body as you felt a hand being placed on your shoulder. You looked up, and your eyes met those of a chocolate color. He wore a serious expression, but he somehow appeared...calming.
"I know that look." Jellal told you. "Those are the eyes of someone who wants redemption."
How did he know?!
You pulled away from him slightly. "Yea..." You replied solemnly.
Suddenly, you were greeted by a soft, gentle smile. The muscular figure held out his hand to you.
"Then join Crime Sorcière."
You were caught off guard by his invitation. You looked at the other two girls behind him, who both seemed to want you to join. Smiling, and slightly blushing, you took his hand.
Maybe this would be a good day after all...
Hope you all enjoyed!
