Chapter 51: The Proposition

Wassup Minna~

I am here with a new chapter from the depths of my crazy mind. Ha ha, yes.

Anyways, in my art class we had a cosplay day. I went as Dave Strider from Honestuck but that's not important.

There were two people dressed as Luffy from One Piece and they got into a war with another girl in my class about Fairy Tail.

One girl said that she still watched all the episodes and read the manga, but still wasn't a big fan. Which I can respect, but then she started bashing on Lucy and everything went crazy. The Luffy people shot up from their seats and started screaming, 'Don't you dare insult Lucy! She has been through so much-'

Then a war began between our class on Fairy Tail. But I never told them about this fan fiction but I was our sides main defender. Boom.

~Lucy's POV~
"Levy, it's okay. Let it all out." I whispered into the petite girl's ear as I rubbed her back soothingly. Levy was sprawled on my bed, covering her face with a pillow that rested on my lap.

"B-but Lu-chan," She sobbed, momentarily raising her head from the pillow, "He probably knows that I like him now. It'll be so awkward. I-I won't be able to talk to him, let alone be in the same room...."

I frowned at her words as tears poured animatedly from her eyes. Although I do usually spring at the opportunity to tease my best friend about Gajeel, I could understand what she was going through.

I faked a smile, "Hey, it'll be alright. I'm sure he's already forgotten about it, or maybe he didn't even think much of it!"
Her hopeful eyes stared up at me.

"Really, you think so?" Levy let a small smile tug at her lips. A chuckle escaped my lips at her adorableness. She was like a puppy.

"Positive." I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and brought her into a tight hug. She giggled against my chest and was soon hugging me back.

~Natsu's POV~

"Dude, calm the hell down. You look like you're about to die from either terror or happiness." I groaned at the sight in front of me.

Gajeel has been hanging around in the corner of my room for the past twenty minutes of this damned morning without saying a single word to me. He just mumbled to himself constantly.
His eyes were wide and alert, but every so often he would get this horrifyingly goofy looking grin on his metal clad face. It scared the crap out of me.

"Levy.....she.....me.....cheek...." His face, although tinged with metallic gray, was dusted in a bright pink blush.

I sighed and brought my hand to my face. I took my forefinger and thumb and pinched the bridge of my nose.
This idiot was getting really annoying. "Okay, would you just tell me what happened or get the hell out of my room?"

"The Shrimp, s-she," He unfurled his hands from his legs and began to frantically make gestures in the air. After a minute or so, he took a deep breath, "...kissed me."

"Wait, like on the mouth?"

"No, you idiot, on the cheek!"

"Alright, calm down," I chuckled at his angered face. "So then, what're you going to do about it?"

After a long pause Gajeel finally huffed, "Hide forever so I don't screw up."

Oh, hell no. That is not going to happen on my watch.

"Levy," I pleaded with the bluenette who had latched herself onto my leg. She defiantly didn't look like she was going to let go any time soon. "Could you please let go of my leg?"

"No, Lu-chan don't leave me!" She sobbed, tightening her grip on my leg. I winced in pain as I began to lose feeling in the leg.

I huffed out my cheeks and decided to try to pry her off, but to no avail. That tiny bookworm was strong. "Levy, I'm not leaving. I am just going to answer the door."

After a minute or so of constant pulling and cries of protests, I decided to just take her with me. But it didn't help with the fact that she refused to detach herself from my leg.

Knock. Knock.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." I shouted in annoyance to the person on the other side of the hotel door. I grabbed the door knob and the door swung open.
Standing in front of me was Natsu and Gajeel. But Gajeel and lying face down on the carpeted hallway floor, two hands grasping onto Natsu's ankle like his life depended on it.

"Hey, Luce." He gave a shy smile and used his free hand to scratch the back of his neck. He glanced down and saw Levy. "You too, huh?"

I nodded and felt Levy squeak against her leg at the sight of the grumbling Iron Dragon Slayer. I patted her head, hoping that it would grant her some form of reassurance. "It's alright. He's probably dead or something, he can't see you."

Levy and Natsu both gave me a questioning look. I waved them off and asked him, "So what did you want, Natsu?"

"Erm, can I come in?" He asked me, peering over my shoulder to look at the inside of our room. Is he feeling alright? He never asks to come in. He'll just climb through a window, or breakdown the door, or actually melt the window.

I felt Levy squeeze my leg, as if begging me to reject his question. Of course, I didn't listen. "Oh, sure. Come on in."

"Thanks," He grinned at me and shuffled into the room. Gajeel was dragged behind him with his face still rubbing against the carpeted floor. "It's quiet in here. Where is everyone?"

I closed the door behind him and lead him down the hall. "Juvia and Erza are out with their boyfriends, as you know. Wendy and Romeo decided to tag along and possibly the Exceeds. And I don't actually know where Lisanna and Mira are."

"How do you not know where those two are? They're both so incredibly loud. I though it would be easy to spot them." He joked with me. We sat down on the couch as Levy slowly unfurled herself from my leg. She got up and sat beside me, now burying her face in my shoulder.

I rolled my eyes at the both of them, "Like you're one to talk, Natsu. People could tell where we are because of your constant fighting with Gray or the others. And pretty much anything else you manage to yell."

He pulled away from me and pretended to look offended. "Well, excuse me, Heartfilia. But when I do it, it's charming." He flicked his hair out of his face.

"Charming?" I snorted loudly, "The day you seem charming is the day that pigs fly." I felt Levy giggle against my back and my smile grew a little wider.

"Happy flies," He pointed out with a smirk, "So why can't pigs? And besides, I am probably the most charming person you know!" The sheer confidence in his voice was enough to make me cringe.

"Are you serious?" I giggle into the palm of my hand.

"Of course, you have offended my charming capabilities. I must prove myself to the world now." He searched the room and found a black marker as well as some hair grease that Mirajane left out.

He grabbed the materials and ran into the bathroom, leaving me with Gajeel and Levy. "So, how are you two cuties doing?"

"Lu-chan, stop." She pleaded into my ear. Her cheeks had grown a considerable amount of red with my comment. Before I could reassure her that I wasn't going to try anything Natsu came sprinting into the room.

I stared at his new appearance for awhile before falling onto the floor in a heap of laughter. I clutched my sides with my arms as my legs kicked freely in the air.

He had drawn a circle around his left eye that I am guessing is supposed to be a monocle. Above his upper lip he had drawn a rather large, bushy mustache. It was actually quite good for a mustache, but that didn't make his appearance less funny in the slightest.

His once spiky pink hair was now greased backwards and was shimmering in the sunlight. He had his scarf now lazily tossed over his shoulder like male models would do. On the couch, Levy had finally stopped with her moppy mood and was trying to conceal her laughter behind her hand.

"So, Luce," He spoke with a deep voice that brought tears of laughter to my eyes. "Am I fabulously charming?"

"Oh my gosh, N-Natsu. What d-did you do to your f-face?" I had to take deep breaths in between my gasps of laughter.

He puffed out his cheeks and stuck his tongue out at me, "I made my face even better than it was before."

It took a few minutes for Levy and I to calm down, but Natsu still refused to take off the marker or clean his hair of the grease. "So, Natsu, was this the only reason you came over? To show us your dazzling charm?"

"Well, it wasn't the only reason. I actually came here about these two." He gestured Levy and Gajeel, one of which was still lying face down on the carpeted floor. Levy was currently in the kitchen, making snacks for their visitors. "I think it's pretty obvious that these two have a thing for one another."

I gaped at him, my eyes widened at his comment. He looked surprised, "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"S-sorry, it's just that I didn't think someone like you knows about romance, let alone when to spot it." I was honestly shocked at the very thought.

"I do spend a lot of time with you, don't I? And Mirajane never shuts up about romance and stuff like that." He shook his head as if he was thinking hard about something. "But that's not why I am here. I have a proposition."

"Go on."

"Luce, you're the only person I know that knows a lot about romance and crap like that. So I need your help in.....something."

"Which is....?"

"A date."

Oh look at that. It's a cliffhanger! That's surprising.

Anyway, I have to apologize for the late update. As some of you might already know, Wattpad has been bugging out on phones lately. It get rids of all of your 'indents' and just makes the whole thing one large paragraph.

So that's that. The next chapter is going to begin with a Jellal and Romeo bonding moment, then goes on to GaLe and NaLu.

ALMOST TO A MILLION VIEWS~
