Natsu stood there in the ruins of the Fairy Tail café, listening to the sounds of water running through coffee grounds.

His salmon pink hair swayed every few minutes from the cold winter wind through the broken glass windows. His right eye the color of onyx, the left was a ghoul trade eye.

"Sorry if this doesn't taste good. I suck at making coffee." a voice called out from the darker part of the ruins.

There stood Natsu's best friend, Gray, in an officer's uniform.

Natsu remained silent as he tried to cover up his left eye.

Blood began to drop on the ground.

Gray smiled sadly and set down the coffee cups.

"I knew," he said, Natsu suddenly freezing.

More blood dropped on the ground.

"I knew for awhile," Gray said, picking up his cup and drinking from it.

His face suddenly turned disgusted and he said, "Yep. It's awful."

Natsu smiled, seeing that it was the first time in two years since they had seen each other.

Some more blood dripped to the floor.

"So, how's Lucy?" Gray asked.

"Lucy... Well, she said the next time she finds me, she's going to impale me then smother me with kisses." Natsu chuckled as he heard his friend laugh along with him.

"Juvia... She was worried about you." Natsu said, making Gray's face sadden again.

A small puddle began to form.

"She had every right to," Gray said, placing the cup back down.

"I snuck in and dressed up as an officer to find you and maybe help... Obviously, I'm going to worry her." Gray smirked.

A larger puddle began to form and Gray struggled to stand.

"Shit..." Gray collapsed along with the table and Natsu caught him.

The salmon-haired boy stared at the condition his friend was in. A large hole was seen cut through his abdomen and the raven-haired boy was bleeding out.

"Gray..." Natsu uttered in shock.

"I-I got careless..." Gray stuttered as he coughed up some blood.

"Listen, Natsu. Can you do me a favor?" Gray asked as he saw the half-ghoul begin to cry.

"L-Let's go home..." Gray's voice becoming ever so quiet.

Natsu smiled, now both eyes the color of onyx and producing tears.

"Hai," he said and Gray turned cold.

Natsu's smile slowly turned into a frown and his ghoul's eye returned, producing a red tear.

The tear fell on Gray's face and the raven-haired boy's face smiled.

"Hai. Let's go home."

Meanwhile, the sound of crackers was sounding outside.

A girl, no older than twelve, with long blue hair and brown eyes stood in the snow.

The sound of those crackers began to set ablaze and lick the ruins of Fairy Tail.

The girl's eyes began to fill with tears as she slumped to the ground.

(Cue Music)

"Wendy..." she heard.

She didn't look up for, she knew who this was. It was her comrade, Doranbolt. As his eyes diverted from the fired building and onto the snowy night sky, he told Wendy, "Old man Makarov have me one last job to do. He said to watch over his children and more importantly, tell them that all we can do is live to endure the loss."

Wendy heard footsteps in the snow. As she slowly looked up, she saw salmon pink hair swaying in the wind.

She looked shocked to see her brother figure, Natsu, carrying what looked to be a body covered with a sheet.

She slowly smiled as she spoke softly, "Natsu..."

His feet continued to crunch the snow and bodied-covered road and his hair continued to sway in the wind. Those soldiers and ghouls that were still alive mourned and stood silently as they had to drag those that had deceased away.

Juvia's apartment was a block from the road that was blocked off. She was worried about Gray.

"Juvia has to go find Gray-sama," Juvia shouted as she grabbed her scarf and jacket and ran out the door and down the snowy block.

Natsu continued walking with Gray in his arms and his eyes looking at his comrades.

Makarov was lying lifeless in the snow, still having his mask on his face and his coat still clean and white.

Grandeeny and Porulysica tried to help the injured and save some of the soldiers. Others had to carry their bodies away. Some had seen Natsu walking and the sheet on Gray came off.

Loke was given the remains of King Celestial's sword, nothing but a crooked handle. His hands shook as he gripped the object and his partner, Aries, looked just as sad. The ginger suddenly noticed a head of pink hair carrying a soldier in the snow. Aries had seen the same thing.

Levy had curled herself into a ball against the ambulance and covered her eyes. She didn't want to see anymore.

Gajeel's heart constantly beeped on the machine and the boy was unconscious in his sleep.

Mirajane was on her knees before the body of a certain blonde-haired ghoul. She continued to stare at the lifeless body of her love and tears penetrated her face.

Everyone continued to watch as the salmon-haired half ghoul walked with the lifeless body of a soldier in his arms.

Loke called it in and informed the leader that they had found the target.

A man with a long white beard and an eyepatch cringed as he told his second-in-command, a girl with long black hair and pink eyes.

"They have found the one Zeref-sama was looking for." Ultear smiled.

A young man with black hair stared at the snowy night sky.

Natsu stopped when the light of a helicopter appeared over him and he heard the shouts of one of his friends, Juvia.

He suddenly stopped to turn his head and watch Juvia get closer.

As she stopped to catch her breath, she saw Gray in his arms.

"What is Gray-sama doing in... your..." she trailed off, seeing the glare in the boy's eyes.

"No... No! NO!!!!!" Juvia wailed as the tears came down at an extreme pace.

Natsu finally caught the eyes of ghouls he knew, such as his childhood friend, Erza,

She began to cry and held onto her lover, Jellal.

He finally caught the eyes of Lucy, his Lucy.

Natsu set Gray next to Juvia and came up to the blonde.

"N-Natsu..." Lucy cried but, Natsu gave her a slight smile before turning and facing his opponent alone.

Lucy fell to her knees as she continued to hear Juvia's screams and her friends' sobs and wails.

"Are you ready, Natsu Dragneel, for the end?"

"NATSU!!!!"

And the last sound heard was that of a briefcase opening and the screams of Lucy.
