As Lucy smiled and walked into the guild, she spotted Lisanna Strauss, one of her closest friends in the guild. She was sitting with Team Natsu, which includes Natsu Dragneel, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, Wendy Marvell, Happy, and Carla. Lucy walked over to the bench they were sitting at, and sat down. 

"Hey guys!" she smiled.

"Hey Luce!" they all grinned in unison.

"Hey Luce, can we talk in private?" Natsu asks Lucy.

Lucy nods, and goes over in the far corner of the guild so no one could hear their conversation. "So, what is it Natsu?"

"Lucy, Listen. Everytime you come with us on a mission, we either have to save you, protect you, or have you hide behind us while the rest of us fight. I didn't want to do this, but 3 out of the four of us agreed that we should replace you with Lisanna. So, with that said, we have to kick you out of Team Natsu. I'm sorry to say this, but your weak. Your not even close to strong. You can't defend yourself, and whenever you get into a fight, you always have to hide behind me, or the others."

"N-natsu..." Tears started to swell in her eyes. 

"I'm sorry Luce... but we didn't want to exclude Lisanna, and we want to spend more time with her to make up for all the time that we have all lost with her." Natsu tries to place his hand on Lucy's shoulder, but she smacks it away, very hard so it left a huge red mark on his arm.

"Ouch!!!" Natsu yelped. 

"You jerk..." Lucy cries and runs out of the guild.

Natsu walks back over to his team.

"I just told her the news..."

"How did it go?" Erza and Lisanna ask in unison.

"Not very good... she was crying, and when I tried to comfort her, she slapped my hand away, really hard." Natsu shows them the red mark left on his arm.

"Ooh... That looks like it really hurts..." Gray exclaims.

Natsu nods slightly, sits down next to Lisanna, wraps an arm around her, and kisses her cheek.

Meanwhile:

Lucy was running back to her apartment, when she ran into a girl with black, short hair, and a orange jacket with a symbol on it looking like a pair of wings.

"Sorry!!!" Lucy exclaims, and helps her back up.

"It's alright." the girl smiles.

"Hi! I'm Lucy!" 

"Hi there Lucy. I'm Mikasa Ackerman, the top female in the Survey Corps."

"The... Survey Corps? What's that?"

"It's a squadron that attacks titans, and protects innocent people from the titans."

"Titans... as in the HUGE titans?!" Lucy was shocked. 

"Yeah." Mikasa itches her scalp.

"Cool! Can I join the Survey Corps?"

"Sure! You might die, just to warn you."

"Eh... It's fine. I just wanna join the Survey Corps!!!"

"Alrighty then!" A blue, swirling vortex appears in front of Mikasa, and she walks inside of the vortex. Lucy hesitates for a couple seconds, and slowly walks inside of the vortex.
