In the Kingdom of Crocus, located in the country, lived a princess. Her name was Lucy Heartfilia daughter of Jude and Layla Heartfilia, King and Queen of all of Fiore. She lived isolated from the rest of the world. There were many tales of gruesome pirates who sought to only kill and were full of greed. One of the most infamous pirates was Fairy Tail. Were they truly evil? Or is it all a horrible lie? Will there be love and betrayal..even rebellions? Yeah most likely.

Third Person

   "Supetto why aren't I allowed to step outside?" Lucy sighed.
"Ms.Lucy you know about evils that lurk out there."We don't want you getting hurt now do we?" Spetto said folding all her laundry.

  "Yeah, I know Spetto..." Lucy got up to help Spetto with the laundry.  She looked out towards the window.

"I just want to know how it feels to be free from the castle and enjoy life just how my mother used to do."I heard Crocus has so many new places to go."

"Lucy, we keep you here so the same thing that happened to  Ms.Layla won't happen to you." Spetto sighed and patted Lucy's head.

"It feels like it was just yesterday Spetto..."

Flashback

It was a peaceful night until a window shattering awokened 7 year old Lucy.

"LET ME GO!" An older womanly voice yelled from the hallway.

"What's going on?" Little Lucy said while rubbing her eyes as she made her way out of bed toward the door.

As Lucy opens the door she opens it to a horrific view.

"Mama?" Little Lucy asks

"Honey go back to your room..Mommy will handle this."Layla Heartfilia says struggling.

"I don't think so Mrs. Heartfilia"

"You took everything I love from me!" Now it's your turn." As the man stabs Layla in the chest and jumps back out the window. As for Lucy , only seeing the man for a slight moment she was able to capture his description.

A nasty dirty grin filled with golden teeth, wearing a brown bandana with messy hair, wearing clothes that looked like they hadn't been washed in ages, the hands of a cold-blooded murder filled with jewels and golden rings, a hat that isn't like many others, a hat with a certain mark right across it. There was no mistaking it. That man was a Pirate and not just any pirate. A pirate who bore the mark of the infamous pirate ship...Fairy Tail.

"Mama?"  Lucy runs to her mother's side. "Mama why are you crying?!"

"What's going on?!!" A guard yells towards the Lucy and Layla.

"It's Ms.Layla she needs urgent care right away!"Someone call for help!"

"Lucy, you are going to be the most beautiful young lady in the world. But at last, Mama w-won't be able to see you grow." Layla softly spoke as tears ran down her face.

"M-mama.." Lucy cries.

"Lucy..." Layla reaches for her cheek "Mama will always love you...no matter where she is.."

"Here." Layla slowly removes her necklace and gives it to Lucy with her hands shaking.

"Mama will be with you forever now." Layla smiles softly as her eyes fluttered closed.

"I love you, Lucy..." Were the last words Layla Heartfilia ever said.

"Mommy please don't leave!!" Lucy shook her Layla gently receiving no response.

"Lucy!!" Spetto grabs her away from Layla side and hugs her tightly. "Don't look anymore," Spetto patted Lucy's back as she too, mourned for the loss of her dearest friend.

(End of flashback)

Third Person.

As Lucy comes out of her flashback she realizes she is holding her mother's necklace.

The necklace was beautiful indeed. Though no one knew about the necklace itself beside Lucy.

It was round-like..sort of as a wheel. Didn't seem like it was worth much. But to Lucy, it was worth billions.

Lucy later found herself outside of her father's office. Today was the day.
She was turning 18 tomorrow and the only thing she ever wanted to do was to step outside.

She has decided to ask him when she was 18, she would claim to be mature enough to travel outside the castle. She grew tired of her normal walks to the kitchen. They didn't quite fill her hunger for adventure as much as it did before.

Lucy speaks to herself, "Here I go," She takes a deep breath before knocking.

"Come in." He rough voice commanded.

"Father it's me, Lucy." Lucy smiles. "Yes, what is it?" He said with a tone of hurry.

"As you are probably aware of...I'll be turning 18 tomorrow and I wanted to ask...if..." Lucy started stuttering.

"Out with it girl." Jude looks at her seriously as he puts down his paperwork.

"If I can travel outside the castle," Lucy says quickly.

Lucy could feel the tension grow in the air. It was a deathly silence until Jude cleared his throat.

"Lucy you know you can't do that." Jude states.

"But father haven't I proven myself--" Lucy said with her voice faltering.

"Lucy that's not the case." Jude's voice becomes more strict and aggressive.

"But--"

"Lucy Heartfilia you have everything that you want here!" Jude's voice booms through his chambers," Why do you want to go outside!?"

"Because I don't want to be trapped in here for the rest of my life!" Lucy yells back at him with tears threatening to spill down her face.

"I forbid you from ever leaving this castle. Never ask me again for this stupid idea of yours. Do I make myself clear!?" Jude says in a fierce voice.

"Y-yes." Lucy chokes as she is fighting back her tears.

"You may leave now," Jude says as he turns around to his window looking out to the outside.

"As you w-wish," Lucy mumbles and leaves as she slams the door close. She runs to her room as she lets her tears fall.

"I hate this." Lucy sighed. "I just want to be free, IS THAT SO HARD TO ASK?!" Lucy yelled into her pillow out of frustration. As she calmed down she found herself slowly drifting into a slumber.

Fairy Tail's P.O.V

"Woohoo!" A pink haired Pirate cheers as he swings from one side of the deck to another.

"Hey, Natsu! Don't be an idiot and accidentally swing out into the waters again."  A dark blued hair pirate shouts from below.

"Shut up stripper!" Natsu yells back as he lands perfectly onto the deck.

"What was that freak?!" Gray yells as he clenches his fist.

"You tryna start something doofus?!" As the Natsu gets ready to throw a fist towards Gray.

Before anything else could happen, a bonk was heard.

"GRAY. NATSU." A redhead yelled as she smashed their heads together.

"Sorry, E-Erza! Natsu and I were just having a nice conversation. Weren't w-we Natsu?"

"Aye!" Natsu saluted "I was teaching Gray how to be a better fighter Erza, sir!"

"What is that suppose to mean killer-breath?!" Gray's head snaps back in his direction.

"You know what I meant flag wrecker" Natsu scowls. "That was one time!" Gray gets ready to throw a punch.

"BOYS." Erza knocks both their heads together. 

"Sorry, Erza." Both boys said nearly unconscious.

"WOULD YOU THREE BRATS KNOCK IT OFF?!" An elderly voice booms

"Sorry Captain Makarov!" All three salute.

"We should be reaching the ports soon, right Levy?" Makarov questions their map guider.

"No more than 12 miles out Captain!" Levy shouts.

"That's our Levy!" Jet and Droy fanboy over Levy.

"And Jellal is supposed to meet us when we got there right?" Makarov asks.

"Yes, sir!" Erza, the ships captain assistant, exclaims.

"Alright, I'm all fire up!" Natsu cheers.

"Anyone care for a drink." Mira, the ship's bartender, asks holding a tray for them.

"HERE HERE!" They all yell as they make their way to the only kingdom of Fiore in...Crocus.
