Natsu and the others have brought the unconscious Dante back to the guildhall. To say many of them were surprised was an understatement. Trish and Wendy were particularly shocked themselves.

After bringing him to the infirmary, Wendy asked if she could heal him; but she was surprised to find that he had no injuries. Trish was now looking over her unconscious partner while Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Gray, and Happy were explaining the situation to Makarov while the rest of the guild listened.

Makarov: Hmm. Strange that he would attack then retreat.

Erza: He said he had what he needed. But I also think he was letting us know he's out there and can attack us whenever he chooses.

Lucy: That guy was definitely freaky. He moved so fast, it was almost like he was wind.

Erza: Not just the way he moved, there was something odd about him. Like this feeling around him. Not like a normal person, more like some kind of monster; the way he felt, it was cold and dark.

Elfman: Sounds like some fancy dark wizard who needs a manly kick in the ass.

Gray: Man, I can't believe we let that guy blindside us.

Juvia: In your defense, he must have been a strong and powerful opponent to defeat one such as Dante.

Natsu: Guy pulled a cheap shot.

Makarov: I'm sure we'll see this man again soon. I'm more interested in this transformation Dante underwent.

Mira: Are you sure it wasn't a takeover?

Erza: No, it definitely was not.

Carla: Seems like Dante was hiding some information from us. I knew he was.

Wendy: What about this other guy though? Did he say why he attacked Dante?

Erza: No, but he did say he was Dante's brother.

That statement was a major shock to the present audience.

Cana & Levy: His brother?!

Gray: It's a load of crap if you ask me. Guy probably said that just to mess with us.

Natsu: I don't think so. He did smell a lot like Dante.

Makarov: Did you get this man's name?

A single 'ahem' caused the wizards to all turn around to a certain she-demon who had just arrived.

Happy: Trish? Shouldn't you be with Dante?

Trish: He's fine, I couldn't help but overhear though. This man; blue robe, a katana blade, white hair, eyes that look like they could bore a hole into your very soul?

Erza: Yes. How did you-?

Trish: His name is Vergil. And he is Dante's brother; his twin brother in fact.

The wizards were taken back even further by that little revelation.

Lucy: Twin brother?!

Natsu/Gray/Happy: Are you for real?!

Makarov: Are you certain of this Trish?

Trish: Yes, Dante and Kat told me so themselves.

Natsu: So this whole thing is just some fight between two brothers?

Trish: I'm not entirely sure. They never told me the specifics.

Levy: Did you meet this guy before?

Trish: Once, he wanted my sword; I fought him, and I almost died, but Dante, Kat, and Lady both got me out of there.

Wendy: He almost killed you? Why is he doing this? If he's really Dante's brother...

Carla: Of course. I should have known that man would bring trouble.

Trish: Hey back off, will ya? Sure he's secretive, but he deserves a lot more respect, he's been through all sorts of Hells.

Lucy: What do you mean by that?

???: It's best if you hear it from him.

They turned to see Kat.

Kat: But you should know Vergil wasn't like this before.

Mira: How so?

Kat: Because, he was my ex-boyfriend.

Juvia: Ex-boyfriend?!

Levy: No way!

Kat: (nodded) That's right.

Elfman: So what's your story with him?

Kat: He rescued me. I was in a foster home. My foster father was a demon. He attacked me most nights. I had to get out.

Wendy: (covered her mouth) Oh you poor thing...

Lucy: I'm so sorry about that.

Kat: It's ok. I felt nothing. I couldn't physically escape so... I found another way. I aimlessly wandered Limbo in spirit form. And I found Vergil there. He heard my cry for help. He helped me to deal with the demons, both figuratively and literally. I killed the bastard. Now I want to deal with them all.

Infirmary

Dante's eyes began to slowly open to a light. He had to briefly close them again to prevent himself from seeing spots. He remembered how he got here, he lost to Vergil; yet somehow, he felt extremely energetic, like he could run a marathon and fight an army of demons at the same time.

???: Bout time you woke up.

Dante slowly turned his head to see the Iron Dragon Slayer sitting on the bed next to his.

Gajeel: I was getting tired of babysitting a near-dead man.

Dante: (joked) And I was having a nice dream involving me on a tropical island with tons of babes. So, you been here the whole time?

Gajeel: Nah, your blonde girlfriend's been here; but she asked me to cover for her.

Dante: She's not my girlfriend.

He tried to get up, he soon found himself without his shirt; his red Fairy Tail guild emblem on his shoulder was clearly visible. His jacket was thrown at him.

Gajeel: Get up, the old man's expecting you.

Dante sighed as he had a good idea of what was to expect next. Gajeel then helped Dante into the main hall, he sat down on a bench and was surrounded by most of the members.

Dante: Let me guess, Vergil?

Carla: You mean your twin brother? Yes.

Natsu: What the hell is that guy's damage?!

Lucy: If he's your brother why is he attacking you?

Dante got all sorts of questions coming to him, but before he could answer, Makarov spoke up.

Makarov: Enough! Dante just got out from the infirmary, I'm sure he has an explanation ready, but let him talk at his own pace.

Dante: Thanks gramps. Alright, before I get started though, I have to ask you all something; how many of you heard of the Legend of Sparda?

Natsu quickly raised his hand with Happy. Erza explained the details of the story that she heard from Morrison during their job in which they met Dante; the demon who turned on his own kind to protect the human world, the Dark Knight.

Makarov: I have myself heard of the Legend of Sparda. But what does that have to do with all of this?

Dante: Because I'm his son.

The entire guild was silent for about a whole minute.

Everyone: WHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT?!?!?!

That scream echoed from outside the entire Guild Hall.

Natsu/Gray/Lucy/Happy/Elfman/Cana/Levy: FOR REAL?!?!

Erza/Mira/Gajeel/Carla/Wendy/Juvia/Makarov: YOU'RE SPARDA'S SON?!?!

Dante: Yep.

Lucy: (shaking) So then... That Vergil guy-

Dante: Is also Sparda's son.

Wendy: You're.... you're.... a demon?

Dante: Half demon. My father was a demon, but my mother was a human. 

Kat pulled out a picture of her along with two young man at their teens. One of them has black hair while the other has white hair.

Kat: Here.

Happy: Wow, it's you.

Erza: And the man with the hair must been Vergil when he was young.

Gray: But, who's the guy with the black hair?

Dante: That was me.

Everyone: WHAT?!?!

Lucy: No way! That's you when you were young?!

Kat: (giggles) Yeah. He had born with black hair to hide his identity, but now his hair changed to exactly the same colour as Vergil's.

Gajeel: Got to say, that was impressive. 

Natsu: So... What's the deal with your brother?

Dante: (sighed) After spending some time here in the human world, my old man settled down and married an woman named Eva. They had two kids, me and Vergil, and for our first few years it seemed like a normal family. But then one day, our old man decided to leave, and he didn't come back.

Gray: Your dad abandoned you?

Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy were thinking at this; something very similar happened to each of them.

Dante: I don't know the details at first, but mom told us he had something important to do; it wasn't until recently that I learned he died doing what he was doing.

Wendy: I'm very sorry to hear that.

Dante: After that it was just the three of us for a few years; some time later we were attacked.

Erza: A dark guild?

Dante: Demons. Or more specifically, Mundus.

Lucy: Mundus?!

Makarov: The Demon King?

Gajeel: I thought he was sealed away by Sparda?

Dante: His body was sealed, but not before he was able to seperate his soul and possessed Kyle Ryder. A banker who uses  propaganda to portray himself as a philanthropist.

Levy: Why would Mundus and Demons attack you though?

Dante: Well, for humans; what Sparda did was something that made him a legend. But from the Demons point-of-view it was betrayal and an unforgivable crime. They saw me and my bro as 'half-breeds' and wanted us dead, for bearing the blood of Sparda. My mom died by Mundus's hands, Vergil and I were separated. 

Mira: And your father, Sparda?

Dante: He was banished. Imprisoned in a life of torture by Mundus, before he was executed for his crime of betraying the Demon Realm. 

Each guild wizard had his or her own look of sympathy, even Carla. 

Dante: Years ago, Kat founded me and she lead me to Vergil. We did a lot of things together. Destroyed the Virility factory, killed an asshole reporter, saved Kat, we even killed both Lilith and Mundus's unborn son. I remember when we teamed up together to defeat Mundus. (chuckles) It feels like yesterday.

(Flashback)

Dante reaches the office while Mundus sits in his chair, collecting power from the Hell Gate.

In his human form, Mundus is a tall, bald man with a scarification tattoo of a third eye on his forehead, and he wears a dapper suit with gold pins on the shoulders. His grey eyes glow in the dark, his right one lacks a pupil, and he has a scar on his lower lip and chin.

He then hears Dante's footsteps.

Mundus: Why did you kill my child?

Dante is silent and Mundus gets up from his chair.

Mundus: I will ask you again. Why did you kill my child?

Dante: Because you killed my mother.

Mundus: Ah. So it was revenge. I see.

Dante: It was more than that.

Mundus: Oh?

Dante: It was for freedom.

Mundus: Freedom? Well, You seem to have all the freedom you need. The freedom to murder my heir.

Dante: I'm not talking about my freedom. I'm talking about mankind's.

Mundus: Mankind. What would mankind do with freedom do you suppose? Because when I arrived, they had it. And what do you think they did with it? They fought. They killed. They starved. I brought prosperity. I brought structure. What have you brought? Besides violence. War. Death!

Scene jump to Vergil outside the office, holding on to his weapon, Yamato.

Vergil: Come on, Dante... Get him pissed!

Back to the office.

Dante: You know what Mundus? You're right, it wasn't for mankind. It was - it was for revenge. I gotta tell ya - killing your child like that, watching it explode into little wet chunks, hearing you scream like one of your little demon bitches. Priceless.

Mundus uses the shockwave to push Dante out of his office. Dante lands near Vergil and they look at each other. And then Mundus flies towards Dante, taking him out of the tower, alongside him. They land on the building and Dante, being disoriented from the attack, is unable to defend himself when Mundus is trying to rip out his heart.

Mundus: I am going to make you watch me, while I eat your beating heart.

The scene jumps to Vergil in the Mundus' office.

Vergil prepares himself, then it cuts to Dante and Mundus, showing a flashback of Eva's death, back to the fighting duo and finally back to Vergil. He uses Yamato to close the Hell Gate, while Dante almost falls unconsious, with brief flashback of his mother. Mundus then notices the Hell Gate closing.

Mundus: The Hell Gate...

After the Hell Gate closed, the real world and Limbo combine, with humans seeing the demons.

Mundus: What have you done?!

Vergil appears behind Mundus and stabs him in the back.

Vergil: Leave my brother alone.

Dante put his palm out as if calling Rebellion and it flies to the back of Mundus's head. Dante takes Rebellion out before overpowers Mundus and throws him off the roof. Also he spits on him for good measure.

Vergil: You okay Dante?

Dante: You took your time.

Vergil: You're welcome.

Dante: Ugh... (facepalm)

Back on the ground, Mundus starts to suck everything in size, growing in size, bigger than every building around him. Then he looks down on the duo.

The duo turned to face the amalgamation of demolished buildings and ripped up concrete – Mundus, this time in his true form.

Mundus takes on the form of a pitch-black humanoid the size and complexion of his human disguise, whose body is covered with silver lines and cracks.

Mundus: Two Nephilim? Two sons of Sparda?

Vergil: (looks at Dante) You ready for this?

Dante: We can kill him now?

Vergil: The Hell Gate is shut.

Mundus: You will die!

Vergil: NEVER!!! (looks back at Dante) Any ideas?

Dante: (points to Mundus' third eye) See that eye of his?

Vergil: Yes.

Dante: His demon child had something like that. We start there.

Vergil: OK. We'll have to get it open.

Mundus: I am Mundus!

Dante: YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE!!!

Mundus prepares for attack.

Vergil: Keep him busy, I'll try and get the eye exposed.

The brothers dodge split as Mundus brought his fist crashing down on the roof: Vergil to the right, Dante to the left. Vergil stop Dante before he tries to attack.

Vergil: Don't attack him, just stay alive until I expose his eye.

He summoned a sword made of pure energy and sent it towards Mundus with a flick of his wrist. After Mundus destroys the building brothers were on, Dante sees Vergil in another one shootin his spectral swords at Mundus. Mundus notices Vergil thanks to this.

Vergil then gained in a twist of blue smoke soon after. His form was so different from his brother's, feet light as he threw another barrage of energy swords while Mundus swiped at him and further toppled the building he stood on, sending Vergil flying to the ground.

Acting quick, Vergil rolled over and braced himself as Mundus poised to strike again.

Vergil: Dante! Do something!

Dante answered with a roar, his hair bleeding white and his eyes became red as he had a red aura around him.

Dante punches off Mundus' attack before he grapples back using Ophion, allowing Vergil direct hit to the Mundus' forehead. To stabilize himself, Mundus holds on the building. Vergil picked himself up effortlessly and continued to summon his projectiles, launching one straight at Mundus' eye and forcing it open even as Mundus was slowed by Dante's trigger.

Vergil: Now Dante, get to the eye!

Dante pulls the eye, dodges Mundus' attacks and uses Eryx to punch and land on his face. The blow that Dante struck sent Mundus scrabbling for purchase on nearby buildings. Then, finding his feet, Mundus picked Dante off of him like a bug and flung him across the chasm and into the side of a building.

Concentration shattered, the oppressive weight of Dante's trigger lifted, as keeps falling. Vergil notices it and transports himself to save Dante by crashing inside the building with him.

Dante: Good save.

Vergil: Can't you use your–

Dante: Already used it!

They then look at Mundus who appears to have cracks all over his body.

Vergil: Look, he's showing cracks.

Vergil notices something inside the construct of buildings.

Vergil: Dante, do you see that?

Among the cracks in Mundus' chest there was a glowing red cluster, and inside that the pure black silhouette of a man.

Dante: Yeah I see it. He's still in there.

Vergil: We need to get in there, and kill him.

The brothers look at Mundus again. Vergil led them through the building as it fell apart.

Dante: Why was his body in there?

Vergil: Mundus is merged with his physical body. That's why he's protecting it!

Dante: So if we kill his body...

Vergil: We kill Mundus!

The duo reaches an office and Mundus notices them, destroying it in the process. Mundus' face eclipsed the windows, a giant fist wiping out the glass with ease and catching Vergil in his vacuum. Dante slid after his brother, but Mundus had already grabbed Vergil around the jaw and sucked him into the demon's red core.

Dante: Oh no, Vergil! NOOOOOOO!!!

Mundus then looks at Dante.

Dante: What have you done to him?!

Dante reappeared on a new building. Mundus began slamming his fist down and barely missing him on the left side. He attacked the fist nearest to him, making his way to a different rooftop when Mundus spewed molten lava at their perch.

The next fist, they attacked together. Dante held it in place with his grappling hook while he channeled his rage to power his attacks until Mundus broke Dante's hold with a wail, watching as his right arm disintegrated up to the molten shoulder.

Before Mundus could douse him in magma, Dante ripped his eye open. The demon tossed his head back with a thunderous cry. Now he could see Vergil brawling with the smaller manifestation of Mundus.

After doing so, the "little" body fighting with Vergil inside feels pain. Dante then proceeds to do the same on the other side of the body, with the same result.

He moved to the next building; Mundus hot on his heels. Dante attacked Mundus with a renewed vigor, effortlessly switching between the weapons in his arsenal. He brought down Arbiter with a satisfying crack, the second hand disappearing much like the first.

The demon fell forward as he moved to attack its directly. Inside, they could see Vergil, nose bloodied as his body absorbed hit after hit. Dante unloading round after round into Mundus with Ebony and Ivory until Mundus dared get close enough to attack them with his face.

Dante slamming it home with a solid punch that forced the demonic form to stumble backwards, stunned. Then he jumps to Vergil to finish the job. Dante Reaching for Rebellion, Dante took his chance and launched himself at Mundus with a battle cry.

Vergil kicks Mundus towards Dante and he slices him with Rebellion, causing him to explode, while the brothers leave through his back. The demon crumbled, falling to the ground in great chunks. After the battle, Dante and Vergil walk up to each other.

Vergil: We did it.

Dante: (chuckles) I did it.

Vergil laughs and Dante joins him. Then they look at the destruction, while patting each other on their backs. The scene then jump to the social media, where people are horrified that demons exist.

(flashback ended)

Juvia: You two defeated Mundus?!

Kat: That's right.

Dante: And Mundus' soul is now back with his sealed body.

Carla: That was incredible.

Elfman: And so manly!

Mira: (smile) You two really are brothers.

Dante: We were. But... After the defeat of Mundus, Vergil changed.

(flashback)

Dante and Vergil reunite with Kat and look at the destruction.

Kat: (eyes widen) What's happening?

Vergil: (proud look) Limbo has collapsed into the real world. What was once hidden is now laid bare for all to see. Revolution is in the air.

Kat: I never believed I'd live to see this day.

Dante: It's the beginning of the end for the demons. Mankind will be free.

Vergil: Yes. Free from the demons, the path is clear for us to rule.

Dante and Kat look at Vergil, shocked.

Dante: What did you just say?

Vergil looked back at his brother; brows furrowed in confusion.

Vergil: The path is clear for us to rule.

Dante: To rule what?

Vergil: (looking across the city) This. Everything.

Kat: Vergil?

Realization passed over Dante's face. He pushed himself off of the railing.

Dante: You mean... like Mundus?

Vergil: No... No, we will be nothing like Mundus. We respect our subjects, not enslave them.

Kat: Subjects?

Dante: He means you. (walking past Kat to his brother) He means humans.

Kat: I thought we were fighting for freedom.

Dante: It was his freedom we were fighting for. Not yours.

Vergil: Don't be so simplistic. Humans are frail. They are like children. They need protection. Not just from others, but from themselves! We, you and I, have saved them.

Dante: You and I saved them?

Vergil: Who else?

Dante: (points at Kat) A human!

Vergil spared Kat half a glance.

Vergil: Kat was useful, but-

Kat: (gasped) Useful?

Dante paced before his brother and, unable to hold himself back any longer, laid into him.

Dante: Kat saved my life! Kat held out under torture to keep your existence a secret! Kat led us through the tower to Mundus' lair! We would have failed twenty times over if it weren't her!

Vergil: And I am grateful for her sacrifice, but-

Dante: But she's human!

Vergil: Listen! If you can't see the chaos the humans will cause, if you don't want the responsibility of protecting them, then stand aside. I will rule alone.

Dante aggressively points at Vergil as he shoved a finger into Vergil's chest.

Dante: I DIDN'T HELP YOU DESTROY MUNDUS SO YOU COULD TAKE HIS PLACE!!! I can't let you do this, Vergil.

Vergil stood to his full height and rolled his shoulders back; seething.

Vergil: And I can't let you stop me, brother. Stand aside.

Dante: Don't do this.

Kat: Vergil, please!

Vergil: STAY OUT OF THIS!!!

Kat hides towards the car then watched in a numb sort of fascination as Vergil, the man who had saved her, transformed to a stranger before her very eyes.

Black clouds began to form in the sky as the two brothers slowly took a few steps back. Dante put his hand on the summoned  Rebellion while Vergil gripped Yamato's handle tightly. The sound of thunder could be heard as the two stopped and stared at each other. 

Vergil charged towards his brother with Dante doing the same. The two clashed swords for a few seconds before the both leapt away from each other.

Dante went in with stinger but Vergil parried the attack, causing Dante to stagger before using his teleport slash on him, knocking him back. Shaking his head, He got back up and took out Ebony & Ivory and began to open fire at Vergil to which he easily deflected by merely twirling Yamato in a circle. 

Vergil gave small smirk before summoning his blistering swords and launched them at Dante. Out of reflex, Dante took out Osiris deflected them back at Vergil with shredder, impaling him with the swords in the process.

It became immediately apparent that Vergil hadn't expected Dante to hold his own during the fight.

Seizing the opportunity, Dante took out Aquila and pulled Vergil towards him before doing his tornado spin. The moment he stopped, Vergil was sent tumbling to the ground.

Dante: Sorry, brother.

Vergil got up from the ground, sheathing Yamato.

Vergil: Don't be.

He teleported in the air much to Dante's surprise and did his Ariel flush move to which Dante used his angelic evade to dodge the attack. Dante used demon pull on him and batted him away with arbiter. 

The two brothers stopped their attacks to catch a quick break, breathing heavily. It then began to rain heavily out of nowhere.

Vergil: It's raining...

He turned his attention back to his brother who threw Aquila. Vergil just merely swatted them out of the way like an annoying fly. 

What he didn't expect was for Dante to follow up with a stinger punch to immediately after knocking him back down to the ground.

Dante: It's not too late.

Dante offered his brother an out, desperately trying to hang on to the only family that he had left; the long-lost brother that he'd just found. Vergil got back, his back turned to Dante. He disappeared and reappeared behind him.

Vergil: Yes it is.

Dante swung Rebellion at Vergil only for him to teleport out of the way. He reappeared behind him again and shoved Dante full force against a wall. Dante gritted his teeth as the veins around his eyes glowed. 

He walked towards Vergil  swung Rebellion at him with intent to kill. Vergil parried his attack and went in with his Divorce combo, the last strike knocking Dante onto his back.

Dante did a quick kip up and held his sword on a reverse grip charging his Drive. Vergil smirked before teleporting in front of Dante only to be on the receiving end of his Drive/Overdrive move. Vergil was knocked back for the last time before he unsheathed Yamato and stabbed it into the ground and activated his devil trigger. 

Dante narrowed his eyes as the storm grew worse. Then all a sudden, another form ripping itself from his being: a doppelgänger.

All the times they had trained together, Dante had never seen Vergil fight like this before. He held nothing back, coordinating his attacks with his double with the sole focus of securing a win, on taking the throne that he believed he was owed.

Dante activated his own Devil trigger as the colour around them changed. The two walked towards each other and exchanged swings with each others swords. The others just kept watching nervously as the two brothers fight escalated while trying not to get knocked down by the wind. 

As their blades we locked, Dante grabbed Vergil by the throat and began to strangle him. Vergil grabbed his arm and pried it off of him and threw him, causing him to land a few feet from the others. Shaking his head, Dante looked up to see Vergil brandishing Yamato.

In a blink of an eye Dante stabbed Vergil with the Rebellion. The Yamato clattered to the ground. Vergil froze up, gasped in pain and surprise; Rebellion run through his chest. 

He pawed at the flat of the blade as Dante forced him to the ground, driving the sword further into Vergil's chest and the dirt. Kat then comes out of hiding and approached the brothers, tears welling in her eyes.

Kat: (crying) Dante... Dante, don't kill him. Please.

She begged, desperate for Dante to let his brother live. Even though Vergil had thrown Kat away the instant she'd fulfilled her purpose she still wanted to save him. Still loved him. Kat had been saved from one abusive relationship only to fall into another.

Rebellion was forced further into the ground, Dante deaf to Kat's plea. Vergil let out a cry of pain and agony as Dante sunk the blade down to the hilt.

Kat: (crying) I am begging you.

She fell to the ground, a tear making its way down her purple cheek.

Kat: (crying) Please stop. For me.

His red eyes turned on Kat, and then Dante came back to himself. Dante snaps from his state and pulls Rebellion out from Vergil's chest. Due to his longer usage of Devil Trigger, his hair permanently turned white.

A snowy-haired Dante stood and offered Vergil his hand which Vergil accepted, hauling himself to his feet while clutching the gaping wound in his chest.

In the same moment, they released each other, Dante's expression stern. He had taken no pleasure in winning this fight.

Dante: The world is under my protection now.

Vergil: (shook his head in disgust) You've chosen the wrong side. You're not human, Dante, and you will never be.

He rebuffed Kat as she approached him, instead bending painfully to pick up Yamato where she had fallen and opening a portal. Before entering, he took one last look at his brother. A look of betrayal on his face.

Vergil: I loved you, brother...

Vergil then leaves through the portal. Dante and Kat are now alone and Dante is confused about himself.

Dante: I don't know who I am anymore.

Kat puts her hand on Dante's cheek.

Kat: I know exactly who you are... You are Dante. Nothing more and nothing less.

Dante then looks into the distance as his eyes glow red.

(flashback ended)

Dante: He wasn't the same brother I knew as a kid or the one who helped us defeat Mundus. Something happened to him, I don't know what, but he became something else.

Natsu: What is Vergil's problem?

Dante: He thinks that the only thing that matters in life is power, and without it you're nothing. He doesn't care who gets in his way or how he does it; if it involves obtaining more power, he'll do it without a second thought.

Happy: But if your his brother can't you just say he's wrong?

Dante: I tried, several times, and he tried to run me through with his sword each time.

Erza: How did he get that train of thought?

Dante: (shrugged a bit) I don't know the specifics, but my guess; he found out who our dad really was and he got some kind of superiority complex. He wants as much as power as possible to surpass our father and become the ruler of the human and demon world, because that's how he thinks it can work.

Natsu: You ask me that's a load of crap.

Gray: Same here.

Makarov: Regardless. Do you think he may come again?

Dante: It's possible, but I'm not sure. Vergil is the furthest thing from predictable, but when he does, I don't want anyone in this guild to fight him.

Natsu: No way! (slamming his flaming fist into his palm) That guy blindsided me, not to mention he hurt my friends! If he show's his face I'm gonna put the smack-down on him!

Gray: Get in line! I wanted a piece of payback at Vergil too!

Dante: No. You guys are not gonna fight him.

Natsu: Hey! Don't tell me who I can or can't-

Dante: Listen to me!

This caught everyone in off-guard.

Dante: Vergil is not someone you can trade fists with. He'll tear through you before you could even blink. (summoned his sword) You see this?

Lucy: Your sword?

Dante: It's a Devil Arm. And it used to belong to our Father, Rebellion. Vergil's got one to. It's called Yamato, it's made of the same kind of metal, and it also belonged to our father. When Vergil picks up his blade, dozens of demons are killed in a split second.

Several wizards were surprised at this.

Erza's mind: Someone strong like that? How could he even exist?

Dante: If or when Vergil comes back, just back off and leave him to me.

Makarov: (deeply sigh) Very well.

Erza: Master?

Makarov: I'm well aware that if even one of my children is danger, we all must strive to assist him or her. However, if Vergil is really as strong as Dante makes him out to be, I won't be risking any of your lives fighting him. Should he be sited do not engage him, that goes for all of you.

Most of the wizards nodded in agreement, except for Natsu who was clenching his fists in anger. Dante stared up at the ceiling, deep in thought. He felt his chest and knew Vergil had taken his mother's amulet, why?

Dante's mind: What the hell are you up to this time?

Unknown location.

Vergil sat in a chair and held two objects in his hand; one of them was the red amulet he took from Dante; the other was near identical only it was blue.

Vergil: So... You've involved yourself in a guild brother. That's surprising. (gets up from his chair) Let's see what Fairy Tail has to offer then, shall we?

Vergil then began to walk out; it was time to do some researching. Find out why Fairy Tail is so special.
