It's been almost a week since Dante and Kat have joined up with Fairy Tail, and they enjoyed every moment of it. Most of their time, they spent doing jobs. Dante and Kat usually went for the ones involving combat and fighting. Already, he's cleared out most of his debts with many of his clients and was now starting to earn a profit for once.

He was also enjoying the guild as well. He clicked with Natsu very quickly, Dante saw a bit of himself in the fire dragon slayer, though with Natsu constantly challenging him to fights it was getting a little annoying, but he could always count on him to get a good workout in and stay in shape. He was also on good terms with Gajeel and Gray; Gray was the kind of guy Dante would chill with when he wasn't busy, though he found his stripping habit to be weird; Gajeel would also spar with Dante quite a bit as well, but when Dante noticed how Natsu and Wendy both had cats and he didn't, Gajeel simply walked away. Dante found Wendy to be adorable, though Lucy and Carla preferred it for Wendy to not spend so much time with him. Dante seemed to earn the respect of Makarov as well, especially when Dante noted how many hot chicks were a part of the guild as well. Though Erza seemed to notice something about Dante that wasn't like anyone else she came across, Dante seemed to notice, but would keep that secret to himself for a while.

It was a nice day in Magnolia and Lucy was walking down the streets to her apartment, with her spirit Plue right next to her.

Lucy: I haven't been able to get a decent job in recently. If I can't pay rent I'll get kicked out.

She noticed Plue dancing around Lucy adorably, in attempt to cheer her up which seemed to work as she smiled a bit.

Lucy: Well there's some optimism if I've ever seen it.

Lucy was now at her apartment and just opened the door, but was not surprised for what she saw inside.

Happy: Hey Lucy!

Natsu: Sup!

Gray: Yo!

Dante: Nice place you got here.

Lucy: (bulged out eyes) What the heck!? How do you guys keep getting in!?

Dante: (sitting on a chair, his feet on her desk) You should really lock your windows.

Lucy: (a large sweat drop on her forehead) Oh, don't tell me they hooked up you too Dante.

Dante: Come on, is that anyway to treat your neighbor?

That last word caught Lucy's attention.

Lucy: I'm sorry, did you just say 'neighbor'?

Dante: Yep, I got the apartment right next door.

Lucy: Please tell me you're joking.

Dante: Nope, dead serious, you wanna see it?

Within five seconds, the group was now in Dante's apartment. It was simple, it had windows to view outside, a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom, all with bare essentials; save for a few swords that decorated the walls.

Lucy: It's... cozy?

Dante: I've only had this place a few days okay, so sorry if it's not decorated to expectations.

Gray: It's simple at least, and you got your own place to crash.

Dante: True. You guys wanna come here, feel free.

Natsu: Awesome! Do we get to raid Lucy's apartment later on?

Lucy: (multiple anime anger marks on her head) DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!

Dante: (to Happy) You're right. It is funny to see her pissed off.

Happy: Told ya.

Lucy: I'm within ear-shot you know?

Dante: Oh that reminds me. You're short on money right?

Lucy: Uh yeah?

Dante: Well, here's your answer. (Reached into his jacket and pulled out a flyer) I just got a job that has enough to cover both our rents for months.

Lucy: Wait are you serious?

Dante: Yes. (Thumb pointing at Natsu and Gray) And we can get these two knuckleheads to come with us.

Natsu: As long as it involves fighting, I'm in.

Gray: I need some money to, so why not?

Happy: (comical tears) Hey what about me? I'm a part of Fairy Tail to!

Dante: So what ya say blondie? Interested?

Lucy: Are you kidding? Yes! Uh wait, what about Erza? Can't be the strongest team without her.

Gray: Erza took on an S-class quest, said she be back in a couple of days.

Dante: Alright then, let's head out.

Natsu: Yeah, I'm all fired up!

Fairy Tail guild hall

Kat and Wendy were walking up to Cana.

Kat: Hey, Cana, you seen Natsu or Dante around?

Cana: I think they went on a job with Lucy and Gray. (Chugged down a barrel of beer)

Kat: I'm surprised you're not dead yet from drinking so much alcohol.

Wendy: Oh, that's too bad, I wanted to go with them.

Carla: It's best you didn't, those two could be a bad influence on you child.

Wendy: What do you mean? Dante and Natsu are both great people.

Carla: Natsu is a good young man with a strong soul, no argument there. Yet he is reckless and destructive. And besides that, we still know little about Dante other than the fact that he's a devil hunter. Something about him doesn't quite feel right, like he's hiding something.

Wendy: What's wrong with that? Shouldn't he be entitled to his own secrets? Everyone's got them.

Carla: Not when it could potentially endanger others.

Wendy: Why do you always try to find the bad in people Carla?

Carla: I don't try to find the bad in them, I'm only saying we need to know more about him.

???: Good luck with that.

A female voice spoke up from the entrance, catching the attention of most of the wizards present. The source of the voice was a young woman with short dark hair, a white blouse, a black platted skirt, black leather boots. Two things about her really caught people's attention, her right eye was green and her left eye was red. Plus, she had a rocket launcher strapped to her back with a blade at the end of it.

As this woman walked to the counter she was eyed by most of the guild wizards, though for different reasons. Most of the male population was paying attention to her exposed legs as she walked, while the females were more concerned with a heavily armed individual walking in their guildhall. Kat however had a shocked looked on her face which Wendy notice it.

Wendy: Kat, are you okay?

Kat: Huh? Oh, I'm fine don't worry about it.

The woman came up to the counter where Mirajane was at.

Mira: Hello there, can I help you?

Most of the wizards fainted with Mira being oblivious to the amount of weapons she had, especially the hard-to-miss rocket launcher.

Black haired woman: Yes, I'm looking for a man named Dante. White hair, red jacket, large sword; he's hard to miss.

Mira: Dante is the newest member of Fairy Tail.

Black haired woman: So he did join a guild huh? Never took him for a team player. So do you know where I can find him?

Mira: He's currently on a job right now, though he should be back later today. In the meantime, make yourself at home. So what's your name?

The woman sat down at one of the barstools.

Lady: Call me Lady.

Kat's mind: What's she doing here? And why is she looking for Dante?

Mount Hakobe.

Lucy: Open, Gate of the Clock Constellation: Horolochium!

Lucy was now shivering inside the clock celestial spirit with a blanket. 

Horolochium: Brrr. I've been here before, you would have thought I'd remember to wear something warmer, I'm freezing my butt off' she says with great discomfort. 

Horolochium translates for Lucy as he walks with her inside him, with Dante, Natsu, and Gray.

Dante: The flyer did say that we'd be going to a mountain, so it's your fault.

Horolochium: Not funny.' She replies quite sharply.

Gray: So let me get this straight, our job is just to find some rare herbs up in these mountains?

Dante: Yep that's it.

Happy: (flew next to Natsu) Seems a little over-kill, don't you think?

Natsu: What do you mean?

Happy: He's paying us so many jewels just to find some plant? I'm mean sure it's cold up here, but anyone could do it.

Dante: Well the client also said when people came up here to try and find some, many of them didn't return, and the ones that did, never wanted to set foot on this mountain again.

Horolochium: "Hold on! You didn't say that!" She exclaims with shock.

Lucy was now shivering with both cold and fear.

Dante: Didn't wanna spoil the party.

Natsu: Ah yeah! Hey monsters! Come and out and fight me!

Gray: (rolled his eyes sarcastically) Yeah, sure just call em out, I'm sure they're just eager to fight you.

Dante: I got a question. Why do you like fighting so much? I mean, I love a good brawl as much as the next guy, but you pick fights like your life depends on it.

Natsu: I gotta fight so I can get stronger. And if I get stronger I can find Igneel.

Dante: Igneel?

Happy: Igneel's the name of the dragon that raised Natsu and taught him his Dragon Slayer magic. When he hears the word 'dragon', Igneel's the first thing that comes to his mind.

Dante: So why don't you go looking for him?

Natsu: I've been looking for him. I've been looking for seven years.

Dante: (surprised) Seven years?

Natsu: Yeah, he vanished seven years ago, along with Gajeel's dragon Metallica, and Wendy's dragon Grandeeney.

Dante: Hold on, all three dragons disappeared seven years ago?

Natsu: Yeah, on the same day; July 7, X777.

Natsu held his scarf that was given to him by Igneel.

Dante: Vanished on the same day? Sounds like we got a real mystery on our hands. Tell you what kid, I'll help you find them.

Natsu was surprised to say the least.

Dante: Yeah, why not? When I was little, my old man said he knew a few dragons, I'd like to see one.

This earned surprised expressions from everyone present.

Natsu: No way!

Gray: Really?!

Happy: Wow!

Horolochium: "Are you serious?!" She yells with great surprise.

Dante: Yep. Though I've never seen a dragon myself, just pictures.

Natsu: So where's your dad? Maybe he knows where Igneel is.

Dante: He died a long time ago.

This earned somber expressions from everyone.

Happy: I'm sorry to hear that.

Dante: (inhaled deeply for a little bit) Forget it, let's just keep going.

As soon as Dante said that, there was the sound of an alarm clock going off, it was coming from Horolochium.

Horolochium: I'm sorry, but my time is up. Farwell.

In a puff of smoke, Horolochium vanished, leaving Lucy comically shivering in the cold. Before anything else could be said Natsu took a few whiffs of the air and a huge grin formed on his face.

Natsu: Hey guys I found it!

Lucy: Really?

Natsu: Yeah it's gotta be it, it smells like plants!

Dante: Man, you've got a nose that could put demons to shame.

Natsu: All I know is that we found em! Let's move!

Natsu ran at near-super-human speed, leaving behind a trail of dust. Dante, Gray, and Lucy all sweat dropped.

Dante: Well, he's certainly enthusiastic.

Happy: That's Natsu for ya!

Gray: (sighed) Always running on without a thought in his head.

Lucy: Sometimes I worry about his mental health.

Natsu quickly ran to the top of a large hill and spotted a large variety of herbs. 

Natsu: Ha ha! I found ya!

Before Natsu could make a grab, a large gust of wind sent him flying back.

It wasn't long before everyone else caught up and saw what forced Natsu back, forcing them to stop in their tracks, a massive white wyvern. 

The wyvern took a protective stance in front of the herbs that just so happen to be it's favorite food.

Natsu: You've gotta be kidding me!

Happy: I don't think he wants to share.

Dante: Well what do you know? Looks like we hit the jackpot.

Lucy: Jackpot?! We've got a massive wyvern guarding the plants! How is that a jackpot?!

Gray: He's right. 

Lucy had a surprise look.

Gray: White wyvern scales are very valuable they can get us a lot more money if we sell them.

Dante: Bingo.

Natsu: You hear that big guy? We're gonna take your food and skin ya for good measure!

Wyvern: (sweat drop)

Lucy turned behind and didn't like what she saw.

Lucy: Uh guys?

Everyone turned a bit to see what she was seeing.

Lucy: (shaking) I don't think the wyvern is our only problem.

A large pack of at least thirty Vulcans had just arrived on the scene all with sinister grins and a few we'e cracking their knuckles eager for a fight.

Dante: (draws Rebellion) Well this just got a whole lot more interesting.

Gray: Looks like we're gonna get quite a workout.

Gray put his hand to his palm and icy wind was coming from it.

Natsu: (engulfed both his fists on fire) Aw yeah, I'm all fired up now!

Happy: Aye!

Lucy was hiding behind a nearby rock, not wanting to get caught up in the oncoming battle.

Lucy: (endless tears) One these days, this guild is gonna kill me.

Loke: (materialized in golden light in front of Lucy) Have no fear Lucy. You're knight in shinning armor is here for you. (His rings glowing gold ready to fight as well)

With that, the Wyvern and the Vulcans all roared as they charged towards the Fairy Tail heroes; Natsu, Gray, Loke, and Happy yelled as they charged as well, Dante simply smiled.

Fairy Tail guild hall

It had been a few hours since Lady arrived at the guildhall. A few of them asked questions about her, who was she? Did she want to join? How does she know Dante? She did not want to join the guild, and she said she was an acquaintance of his and he owed her quite a lot of money.

Wendy: So you're a friend of Dante's?

Lady: More or less.

Wendy: Well he's a great person, he saved my life.

Lady's mind: "Dante" and "Great" in the same sentence? I'll never get used to that.

Lady pattered Windy's head.

Lady: Sure, whatever you say kid. (Return to her drink)

Mirajane: By any chance, is Dante your boyfriend?

Lady spat out her drink, which left a rainbow, as soon as she heard that.

Lady: Are you kidding me?! No way!

Mirajane: What's wrong?

Lady: He's not my boyfriend, he just owes me money! That's it!

Carla: What exactly do you know of Dante?

Lady: Not much, he's very secretive and tends to keep to himself.

Lady could tell that Dante didn't say anything in regards to his family's history; she respected him enough to keep his secret.

???: Yo! We made it back!

A voice called out. All turned to the entrance to see Natsu kick the door open, revealing him, Dante, Gray, Lucy, and Happy. While everyone else was warmly welcomed back by their comrades, Kat walked to Dante.

Kat: Dante, we have a problem. And you're not gonna like it.

Dante: Why?

Kat pointed at the counter as Dante looked at where she's pointing at as soon as he saw Lady he sighed. He walked up to the counter and greeted her.

Dante: Hey, it's been a while.

Lady: Yeah, sure has.

Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Happy joined them.

Natsu: Yo, Dante, who's this chick?

Dante: Guys, Lady. Lady, guys.

Lucy: You're a friend of Dante's?

Lady: More of an acquaintance than a friend.

Gray: So what do you do?

Lucy: (pointed at her rocket launcher) And why do you have a massive rocket launcher with you?!

Lady: I'm a devil hunter, and I gotta fight demons somehow, don't I?

Happy: You're a devil hunter too?!

Natsu: So you wanna join Fairy Tail?

Lady: Nope, just here to collect on a debt this guy owes me. (Pointed at Dante)

Happy: (rolling his tongue) Or you liiikkee him.

Lady's eye twitched, she came up close to the flying cat's face.

Lady: Listen up cat, cause I'm only gonna say this once. (Happy gets scared) This bastard here is a strawberry sundae freak! He eats pizza everyday, and he never pays back the money he borrows from me or anyone else! How exactly am I supposed to fall for him?!

Happy: (scared) Sorry just kidding!

Gray: That's almost scary as Erza.

Natsu: Hey! You're a devil hunter huh?

Lady: Yes, and you must be the Salamander. You're much younger than I thought you be.

Natsu: (ignored the comment) If you're a devil hunter, than you gotta be strong; and if you're strong, you gotta fight me!

Dante, Kat, and Lady both sweat dropped at that.

Lady: Sorry, no.

Natsu: To bad, cause here I come!

Natsu charged in, only for his face to make contact with her boot, he fell back with swirls in his eyes.

Mira: Oh, my.

Mira shook her head as Gray and Happy tried to help him up.

Lady: So...

Dante: Don't bother, cause I'm already getting it out. (reached into his jacket and pulled out a large stack of money and handed to her) I had a feeling you'd show up, so I'd save some just for this moment.

Lady went through all the bills and counted the money.

Lady: 35,000 jewel huh?

Dante: Yep, all in cash.

Lady: Good, that means 20% of your debt is now cleared.

Lucy: 20%? Hold on, are you seriously that far in debt? Geeze, what did you do that made you owe this chick that much money?

Dante: Don't ask. I guess it's a good thing we hit that jackpot today huh?

Lady: Jackpot?

Dante took out two items from his jacket and tossed them to Lady, she and Kat were surprised to say the least.

Kat: Holy crap.

Lady: Are these white wyvern scales?

Dante: Bingo sister. Ran into one on my last job, that should be more than enough, so I'd say we're square at this point.

Lady was indeed taken aback, Dante rarely paid back any debts, least of all to her. She kept her surprise well hidden as she flashed an amused grin.

Lady: That depends, if these are the real thing or not.

Lady got off the counter and left some money for Mirajane.

Lady: Thanks for the drink.

Dante: So where you headed?

Lady: You got your business, I got mine.

Dante: If you get sick of it, try joining a guild, it's a lot more fun that you might think.

Lady: I'm more of a solo-act. (Left the guildhall) See ya.

Gray: You didn't say there were other devil hunters out there.

Dante: You didn't ask.

Lucy: Who exactly was that?

Dante: No one you wanna mess with, trust me.

Kat: He's right, she's one badass devil hunter chick.
