Edolas Fairy Tail

After escaping the dreaded Black Angel and Fairy Hunter; Dante, Natsu, and the others took this opportunity to explain their situation to the Edolas counterparts of their friends and comrades; though they left out the part of Dante and Modeus being demons for obvious reasons.

Edolas Jet: Wait a second, let me get this straight. You guys are from another world that's called 'Earthland'?

Edolas Droy: And you came all the way over here to save your friends?

Dante: Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

Mary: You're telling me there's another Fairy Tail just like us?

Natsu: Not exactly. You guys are acting more like the complete opposite of all our friends.

Dante: Which would also explain the psycho version of Erza we just met a little bit back.

Mary: I can't believe that she's one of your allies.

Carla: You seem to be rather surprised.

Happy: Aye.

Edolas Macao: You would be too, that's a pretty tall tail.

Modeus: Of course, if you'd been in our shoes, you might understand. For us, a more cruel version of Erza is rather a surprise in on itself.

Edolas Wakaba: Well this is definitely not the Natsu we know.

Edolas Mira : He does look like him though. 

She earned a bit of a laugh from the Edolas crowd.

Admits their talk, Dante manage to glance a bit towards the back of the Edolas crowd and saw Lisanna looking towards them as though she was deep in thought, well actually, she was looking towards a certain Dragon Slayer.

Edolas Wendy: You're telling me this little girl is actually me?!

Wendy: (slightly bow) Uh... hi.

Modeus: Now this is confusing. You're actually older than her, whereas everyone else is more around the same age as our friends. To be honest, you look more like an older sister to her.

Dante: Yo. Any of you guys know how we can get to the Royal City?

That took the Edolas Fairy Tail by surprise.

Natsu: Our friends got captured and we need to go rescue them.

Wendy: Yeah, your kingdom was the one that pulled them into this world and now we have to save them. Otherwise they'll be converted into magic power, if that happens they'll be gone forever!

Edolas Wendy: I know this is the last thing you wanna hear little-me. But it's best if you forget them.

Wendy gasped at that.

Dante: What?

Mary: Anyone who would defy the King of Edolas is as good as dead. He has a mighty army at his beck in call.

Modeus: What about that swordsman from earlier? The one you called 'The Black Angel'? Who is he?

Edolas Gray: To be honest, we really don't know. The guy showed up out of nowhere and apparently works for the King. All we know is his name; Nelo Angelo.

Edolas Juvia: There is no person alive that can match him. Whenever he takes his dreaded sword in his hands, thousands are killed in the blink of an eye. Some say he's not even human, he's some kind of-

Dante: Demon?

Mary: (nodded) Yes, that all we can describe him as, a demon, a monster.

Dante and Modeus looked towards each other at that.

Edolas Elfman: And Nelo Angelo is only one of our problems. There's only so much magic power in our world. There's not too much left of it. It won't be too long until we completely run out.

Edolas Gray: (walked up) It's the King's greatest fear so he tries to keep it all to himself.

Dante: (clenched his fists) I'm liking that old prick less and less.

Edolas Juvia: It is the very reason he ordered all magical guilds be disbanded.

Natsu: I take it that didn't sit well with everyone else.

Edolas Max: (nodded) At first, everyone tried to ignore the order.

Edolas Warren: But then the Kingdom's Magic Warfare Unit started whipping them out one after the other.

Mary: And Nelo Angelo destroyed most of them by himself. Our guild is the only one left... 

Her voice began to crack as she held a tissue to her eyes. 

Mary: (cried a bit) He killed him... that monster slaughtered our master and most of our friends... 

Edolas Mira put a comforting hand on her shoulder. Wendy and Modeus both had sympathetic looks where as Dante and Natsu both looked rather angry.

Dante: Bastards.

Mary: (whipped the tears from her eyes) Please for your sake, leave this world while you can.

Natsu: No way. 

Edolas Fairy Tail got surprise.

Natsu: I ain't afraid of your king and I ain't leaving without my friends.

Dante: Same here. But after what I just heard, we're not just gonna rescue our friends now. We're gonna bring his royal pain in the ass down. (drew Rebellion) I'll run him through with this and fill him with my bullets.

The Edolas Fairy Tail looked in surprise at this, their eyes were white dots and their mouths hung open.

Natsu: Uh... why are they looking at us like that?

Modeus: Perhaps because you act so differently from their Natsu. But I am with you as well. This King needs to learn a lesson, I may be a pacifist, but I cannot stand those who mistreat others for their own personal greed.

Natsu: That makes two of us.

Dante just happened to glance as he looked towards Lisanna in the back, who quietly snuck out the door, with no one noticing, other than Dante and Natsu.

Royal City

High above the royal city, floating in the sky was a massive island with an equally massive lacrima crystal on top of it. It hung there over the city as though it were a fabled omen of terrible things to come.

In the hallways of the castle walked three individuals. One of them was Erza Knightwalker, captain of the Second Division of the Magic Warfare Unit. 

Another was a young dark haired man in white military clothing, the other was a double-chinned, blonde man, with pink armor and a white cape.

Hughes: Holy crap! Have you taken a peek at that giant lacrima!? It's the coolest thing I've ever seen!

This arrogant and cocky guy is Hughes, the Captain of the Third Division of the Magic Warfare Unit.

Knightwalker: Yes, I saw it when I arrived Hughes, it certain is exquisite.

Hughes: It has the power of tens of thousands of Earthland people.

Sugarboy: Hmm, mmm. Which I've been told is the equivalent of about one hundred wizards, not to mention it houses the lives of countless others.

The double-chinned man is Sugarboy, the Captain of the Fourth Division of the Magic Warfare Unit.

Hughes: Aw come on. You're gonna bore me to death with all the details Sugarboy, all that it matters is that it's totally awesome!

???: Don't let this get to your head.

Those words came from Nelo Angelo as he walked down the hall towards them. 

Nelo Angelo: Do not let your guard down, after all there are others who would seek to oppose us.

Knightwalker: Well those idiots are either very brave, or just plain stupid. We hold the greatest power. All that's left are those infernal Fairy Tail insects.

Nelo Angelo: Be careful. Even insects have bites to them that can prove fatal, if underestimated. Your kingdom is indeed strong, but it can easily be toppled by your arrogance.

Hughes, Sugarboy, and even Knightwalker glared a bit at the Black Angel.

???: He may have a point. 

A voice spoke out from behind. This was a short old man.

Knightwalker: Byro.

This creepy old little dwarf is Byro, the Chief of Staffs of the Edolas Royal army reminded.

Byro: Fairy Tail has managed to escape your wrath more than once now. They are the last of the guilds, I realize they are difficult to track down and constantly on the move, but his majesty's patience is at its end.

Nelo Angelo: Perhaps. But it was not the Edolas guild I was referring to.

Sugarboy: Oh?

Nelo Angelo: There is another being here, a powerful swordsman, one who's skills could rival even my own. (glancing at Knightwalker) I dare say he'd even surpass the Mighty Fairy Hunter. 

Knightwalker maintained a serious look at this.

Hughes: (amused smile) Come on, what's one guy gonna do? We're the ones who have all the power.

Byro chuckled at that.

???: I've had enough of that laugh of yours Byro.

This voice came from a tall, well-built, armored, humanoid panther that walked on the scene. 

Knightwalker: There you are Lily. 

Panther-Lily: I can't stand the sound of it, it grates my nerves.

This is Panther-Lilly, the Captain of the First Division of the Magic Warfare Unit.

Hughes: What's your deal, man?! You're always walking around like you're better than everyone else! (gestured to Nelo Angelo) We've already got one asshole here!

Nelo Angelo chose to ignore that comment.

Panther-Lily: You'd be wise to watch your mouth

Sugarboy: You're in a fowl mood.

Lilly walked forward pass the three Captains as Nelo Angelo walked in the opposite direction; the two intimidating warriors passed by each other.

Lily: Angelo.

Nelo Angelo: Lilly.

The three captains looked more towards Nelo Angelo as he walked away.

Hughes: What's that freak's deal?! Just who does he think he is?!

Sugarboy: Well I'll be the first to say he's been a great asset to us. He destroyed most of the guilds by himself, he's like a one-man army. I'd say he's even stronger than you Erza.

Knightwalker: (gave a disagreeing grunt) I still don't trust him. This strange and powerful being just shows up out of nowhere and offers his services without question or even a reward? Something about him just doesn't sit right with me.

In another hallway, a young girl was running through the decorated hallway. 

???: Your Majesty! Your Majesty! Your Majesty! Your Majesty! Your Majesty! 

The girl stopped before a small set of stairs leading to a white throne. She immediately saluted. 

Coco: I've just been told we'll be able to extract power from the giant lacrima in four days time as scheduled.

This young girl is Coco, assistant chief of staffs to the royal army.

Coco: It was a brilliant successes!

Faust, The King of Edolas sat in his throne having heard all of this, but wasn't as pleased as Coco had hopped. 

Faust: It's not enough.

Coco: It's not?

She ran back down the hall and back towards the throne before stopping again. 

Coco: Could you repeat that one more time?

Faust: I said it's not gonna be enough Coco.

Coco then began to literally run in circles. 

Coco: With all due respect your majesty, our calculations suggest that it's actually just the opposite. That giant lacrima contains the magic power of an entire Earthland city, which should be more than enough to keep our kingdom's supply for the next ten years!

Faust still was not convinced. 

Faust: I won't be satisfied until my kingdom of Edolas is free from all restrictions.

Coco stopped running for a minute to listen to her king. He stood up from his throne. 

Faust: And I know there's only one way that can happen. In order to be free, what we need is a source of everlasting magic power!

There as a faint and dark chuckle. 

???: Your lust for power is quite amusing, your majesty.

Coco turned around and saw Nelo Angelo walk down the hallway. The very sight of him made the little girl tremble and run behind the throne to hide.

Faust: Nelo Angelo. Why might you be here?

Nelo Angelo: I am merely passing through, your highness.

Nelo Angelo bow as he turned and walked towards a door. 

Nelo Angelo: Just be sure, those eyes aren't clouded by greed, as it can blind you. When you're blind, it will be impossible to see the danger that may present itself.

Nelo Angelo walked into the door and closed it behind him. Coco peeked out from behind the throne.

Coco: (whimpers) Is he gone? That guy is super scary!

Meanwhile Nelo Angelo stood in a small dark room, the only item that was present was a dark mirror that was on the brick wall. Nelo Angelo kneeled before the mirror.

Nelo Angelo: My Lord and Master, I have returned. 

The mirror then turned black and it appeared to have dark grey smoke form inside of it, as though it were a window to another location. 

Nelo Angelo: I am the instrument of your will, the blade of your dark wrath, I exist only to serve you...

Red electricity then began to spark within the mirror. 

Nelo Angelo: ...Master Mundus.

Three glowing red orbs formed in the electricity, this was the avatar of the Demon King, Mundus himself.

Mundus: Nelo Angelo. What do you have to say to me?

Nelo Angelo: My lord. All is prepared, the Lacrima is here in Edolas, and that foolish King and his idiotic lackeys do not suspect a thing.

Mundus: Excellent.

Nelo Angelo: However, we may have a slight problem.

Mundus: What is it?

Nelo Angelo: The youngest son of Sparda, Dante is here. As are two Dragon Slayers; Natsu Dragneel, the Son of Igneel; and Wendy Marvel, the Daughter of Grandeeney.

Mundus: Are you certain?

Nelo Angelo: Yes my Dark Lord and Master, I have seen them myself.

Mundus: This is only a minor annoyance. You, my Black Angel, I created you from the essence of both Dante and his brother Vergil, as well as that infernal Sparda; you are the sum total of those three warriors combined, they are nothing to you.

Nelo Angelo: You orders, my lord?

Mundus: Proceed as planed my herald. Should you spot Dante or the Dragon Slayers, see to it they are left alive, I will have need for them soon.

Nelo Angelo: As you wish.

Mundus: Soon, my servant... Soon... Edolas will be mine!

Elsewhere.

Dante, Natsu, Wendy, Modeus, Happy, and Carla began walking through a dessert-based area, having just left the Edolas Fairy Tail.

Agni: So what is our plan?

Rudra: Yes, we have a plan, do we not?

Natsu: Yeah we got a plan. (held the two demon swords) We're gonna get to the Royal City, find our friends, and beat the crap out of anyone who tries to stop us.

Rudra: I like that plan.

Agni: Yes, nice and simple.

Modeus: It's not gonna be as simple as that.

Dante: But that is the basic gist of it. If you ignore all the little details we have to deal with.

Happy: So how much longer is it going to take for us to get to the capital?

Carla: You just left and you're already asking me that?

Wendy: They said it'll take five days to walk there.

Carla: Well, without our Aera-Magic kaput, I guess we have no choice but to walk.

Wendy: Hey guys, there's something that's been bothering me for a while. Why didn't we see an Edolas version of you Dante? Or you Modeus?

Modeus: It's probably because we do not have Edolas counterparts.

Natsu, Wendy, and Happy: (question marks appeared above their heads) Hmmm?

Dante: Let me explain. (reached into his red coat and took out a coin) Earthland and Edolas are connected; Edolas is the flipside to Earthland, both worlds are two sides of the same coin. 

Dante showed heads and tails of the coin for emphasis.

Natsu: Yeah, we pretty much figured that part out.

Modeus: But Dante and I, as well as Trish, are not from Earthland.

Dante: Remember, Modeus and Trish are demons; they're from the Demon World. The Demon World is not connected to Edolas like Earthland is, but is in fact a completely different and separate world entirely. 

Dante took out a second coin for emphasis. 

Dante: It's a part of a separate coin here, see?

Happy: Okay, I think I get it now.

Wendy: What about you Dante? Aren't you from Earthland?

Dante: I am. But my old man wasn't. Remember, I'm half demon, my dad was Sparda, who was also from the Demon World. You need a dad to make a son, since there's no Edolas counterpart for Sparda, there's no Edolas version of me. 

Dante gave a somewhat prideful glare. 

Dante: I'm one of a kind.

Carla sweat dropped at that last comment. 

Carla: Ego aside, Dante has a point. Since Demons aren't native to Edolas we can be certain that there is no counterpart to Dante.

Happy: Though it makes me wonder what Edolas Dante would be like. Would he be opposite of our Dante? What would he be like?

Natsu: We don't have to wonder that. We already know what his opposite is like. 

Natsu unbuttoned his shirt and opened it a bit, revealing to the group the diagonal scar he had. 

Natsu: Remember, he was the one who gave me this.

Wendy, Happy, and Carla gasped a bit as they remembered, while Modeus and Dante looked with serious expressions. 

The group then recalled a certain blue-robed, white-haired swordsman who abducted many of Fairy Tail's strongest, impaled Dante, scared Natsu, and attempted to kill many of them.

Wendy: Vergil... 

Happy: Yeah you're right. That guy really was Dante's opposite.

Carla: Though I think we can be glad that we will not be expected to find an Edolas counterpart to Vergil either, just one of that monster is more than enough.

Modeus sought to change the subject to brighten the mood a bit. 

Modeus: Though we did manage to see the Edolas counterpart to Lady, that was rather to strange to see her lady-like, no pun intended.

It seemed to work a bit. 

Dante: (chuckle) Yeah, Lady acting like a lady. That's something I'd never thought I'd see.

Carla: Well it makes sense for Lady to have an opposite, since she's human.

Natsu: But why was her name Mary? Everyone called her Mary, isn't her name supposed to be Lady?

Dante: Well you see... Her birth name was Mary, but she had it changed to Lady.

Wendy: She changed her name? Why would she do that?

Dante: Let's just say she has issues with her father and leave it at that.

Happy: But wait, what about that Nelo Angelo guy?

Dante: What about him?

Carla: The way he moved, the way he was described by the Edolas Fairy Tail; I believe they weren't exaggerating when they said he wasn't human.

Dante: No that guy was a demon.

Natsu: How did you know?

Dante: It was his eyes. You can always tell the difference between a human and a demon by the look in their eyes, and Nelo Angelo was indeed a demon.

Natsu: But I thought you guys said demons aren't from Edolas.

Dante: They're not. He was sent here.

Wendy: Sent here?

Happy: By who?

Carla then remembered their previous discussion before entering Edolas. 

Carla: Modeus. You said that the Demon King knew of the existence of Edolas and attempted to conquer it.

Modeus: I did say that.

Carla: Well, what if he's still trying to, what if he hasn't given up?

Natsu: You're saying Mundus sent that guy?!

Dante: It wouldn't surprise me. That freak always tries to pull stunts like that.

Wendy: (afraid) You're saying... that Nelo Angelo is basically working for the Devil?

Dante: Yes, I believe that's what we're saying.

Happy: (fear) So... we have to fight the Demon King?!

Wendy: I don't wanna fight him!

Agni: You do not need to worry.

Rudra: Yes, there is no need to worry of Mundus.

Agni: Mundus has been sealed in the deepest circle of the Demon World, and the seal around the Demon World itself is all but unbreakable.

Rudra: Indeed, you can gather every wizard in your Earthland and the raw force still wouldn't be enough to free him.

Agni: So, we do not need to worry about Mundus.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Wendy: Thank goodness.

Happy: Aye.

A shadow soon loomed over the group. They all turned around to see what appeared to be a giant cross between a frog and a newt looming over them. 

It gave a croaking roar before jumping towards them, causing the group to fall back a bit.

Happy: What the heck is that?!

Natsu: Whatever it is, it's going down!

Natsu drew Agni and Rudra in his hands, while Dante also drew Rebellion and Modeus drew Nevan. Wendy even tried to muster some courage and drew Cerberus but had no idea how to use nunchucks before.

Dante: I've been wanting to hit something all day.

The giant creature jumped towards them. It didn't get very far though when a certain blonde female came by with some form of energy-whip.

Edolas Lucy snapped the whip at the creature, causing it to skid to the side. She landed on the ground.

Modeus: It's the Edolas version of Lucy.

Happy: Yay Scary Lucy!

Wendy: Thank you Scary Lucy!

Edolas Lucy: Quit adding 'scary' to my name! It's rude!

The giant frog-creature then began to hop away.

Natsu: It's leaving.

Dante: Way to be a killjoy Blondie.

Dante put Rebellion back  as he earned a glare from the Edolas Lucy.

???: Hey, wait up!

The voice made Natsu lose composure briefly as the group looked to see a certain white haired female run up to them.

Edolas Lucy: Geeze, you're so slow Lisanna.

Lisanna stopped to put her hands on her knees and catch her breath. 

Lisanna: Sorry, you're just so fast.

Wendy: Isn't that Lisanna?

Modeus: Why is she here?

Natsu sighed a bit. 

Natsu: (mutters) It's not her. It's her Edolas self.

Dante walked up to the two girls. 

Dante: Hey ladies, thanks for the hand, but why are you here?

Edolas Lucy gave an embarrassing blush. 

Edolas Lucy: I wasn't worried about you, just so we're clear.

Lisanna: What she means is... If you guys are serious about taking down the Kingdom, you're going to need help.

Carla: Let me, guess you two are volunteering?

Lisanna: Well... (rubbed the back of her head) Yeah, I guess.

Modeus: Thank you. We appreciate the assistance.

Edolas Lucy: You don't have to get all mushy.

Dante: Yep, there's no mistaking it, just like our Lucy. Blonde, busty, thinks you're tough, and sassy.

Edolas Lucy: What do you mean 'think I'm tough'?

Dante: When you said not to be called scary, I agree. You're not scary; three headed ice-dogs are scary, a giant spider made of lava is scary, you? You're not scary. Even if you tried, you probably wouldn't scare a little kid.

Edolas Lucy: ( anime anger mark on her head) Say that again pretty boy!

Dante: But you are crazy. So I'm gonna call you Crazy-Lucy from now on, that okay Crazy-Lucy?

Edolas Lucy: That's it!

Edolas Lucy then tried to charge towards Dante but he held her back by her forehead and effortlessly held her back as she tried to swing her fists at him, not unlike what a bully does for a little kid. 

Dante: And just like our Lucy, it's fun to piss you off.

Natsu, Lisanna, Modeus, Happy, Wendy, and Carla all sweat dropped at this scene.

Natsu glanced towards Lisanna a bit.

Natsu: Hey uh listen... About back in the Guild hall... (rubbed the back of his air) I'm sorry. I just... thought you were someone else.

Lisanna looked away shyly. 

Lisanna: It's okay... I mean, everyone makes mistakes, right?

Carla coughed loudly to get their attention. 

Carla: Can we all please focus on the task at hand? (turned towards Lisanna) How do we get to the Royal City?

Lisanna: Follow us.

Meanwhile; two hooded individuals wondered another part of the desert. They manage to come to the outskirts of a small town.

Gajeel: Should of known they'd be catered off to some crazy place like this.

Trish: Ironically, this isn't the strangest thing that's happened to us, well... to me anyway.

Back with the previous group; Lisanna and Edolas Lucy were leading the Earthland heroes through the desert.

Lisanna: I see, so a couple of people spotted you earlier and mistook you two for Exceeds?

Modeus: Which would explain why this Erza Knightwalker was able to find us before.

Happy: That's why everyone freaked out when we said we were friends with Erza.

Natsu: Guess she's as scary here as she is back home.

Edolas Lucy: Excuse me?!

Dante: We're talking about Erza, not you, genius.

Edolas Lucy: Well I don't know what she's like in your world, but it's hard to believe for any of us that she'd ever align herself with Fairy Tail.

Dante: Well it's hard for us to believe that she's a psycho here.

Lisanna: I would recommend staying away from her though, you guys don't know what Erza Knightwalker is like.

Edolas Lucy: Yeah, there isn't a wizard in all of Edolas who isn't afraid of her, when you see her, you're as good as dead.

Dante: Doesn't sound too tough to me. 

Edolas Lucy and Lisanna: (surprise)

Dante: I've been through Hell more than once in my life and seen all sorts of crazy things; I'm sure I can handle a cheap knock off of Erza.

Edolas Lucy: 'Cheap knock off'?

Lisanna: You're a very brave man.

Edolas Lucy: Either brave or stupid. No offense though Mr. uh...

Dante: Dante, my name is Dante.

Edolas Lucy: Hmmm. (gave a slight grin) 'Dante', I like that name. Sounds really cool.

Wendy: Well he is cool. If we do run into this world's version of Erza I'm not too worried, if anyone can handle her, it's Dante.

Happy: Aye! There isn't anything Dante can't handle.

Dante: (smug grin) Come on guys, you're making me blush.

Edolas Lucy: Well good luck. Erza Knightwalker is the second strongest soldier in the royal army.

Carla: Am I correct to assume the first strongest is this Nelo Angelo character?

Lisanna: Yeah, you'd be right. That monster is far worse than anything the Kingdom can throw. He's strong enough to destroy a small army by himself.

Modeus and Dante looked towards each other a bit, both having the same feeling in regards to this.

Modeus: If you don't mind me asking, where are we going exactly?

Lisanna: Don't worry, we're here.

They came to the edge of a cliff.

Edolas Lucy: Yep, the city's down there.

Natsu: Check it out guys!

The group saw the city.

Happy: Thank goodness, I thought we were never gonna get here.

Dante: Was there ever any doubt?

Wendy observed the oddly shaped buildings.

Wendy: It's all very round isn't it?

Carla: Well, lets get going.

Modeus: (turned to the two girls again) Once again, thank you for guiding us.

Edolas Lucy: Sure, no problem.

Lisanna: But you guys are going to need some magic weapons if you're serious about rescuing your friends.

Natsu: Well let's see what these guys got.

Dante: Yep, lead the way Crazy-Lucy.

Edolas Lucy: You're crusin' for a brusin' pretty boy!

Now the group had entered the City of Luen. They were walking through the streets while still being led by Lisanna and Edolas Lucy.

Edolas Lucy: It wasn't that long ago you can sell magic here just like anything else. But then the army began hunting guilds and now selling and buying magic is strictly forbidden.

Lisanna: What's even more horrible is that even having magic is a crime.

Dante: This just makes me wanna storm the castle and put a bullet in his royal assness' head even more.

Natsu: Seriously. Getting in trouble just for having it? What a dick move.

The group now found themselves by a seemingly bored up shop.

Wendy: What about people who've always been able to use it?

Edolas Lucy: (confused) What? Hold on, I don't know how to explain it more to you guys. If you have magic you just have to get rid of it or else you'll get busted or worse.

That statement confused Natsu and Wendy a bit.

Modeus: I believe I understand. The rules are different here. Where we're from, people use magic, it's a part of them.

Edolas Lucy: Part of them?

Modeus: For example... Our Natsu is a wizard called a Fire Dragon Slayer. He has the ability to generate fire from his body and he can manipulate the flames around him for offensive based attacks.

Edolas Lucy: What tools does he use?

Dante: No tools needed. People use magic it's a part of them; a part of their spirit, their soul, it's not something that can just be thrown away like garbage in Earthland.

Edolas Lucy: Well, here in Edolas... Magic is used in tools and items; the people here don't use magic.

Carla: That would make sense. Due to magic being finite in this world.

Happy: So people can't use magic then? 

Carla: That's correct.

Lisanna: Which is why you guys need some magic weapons.

Dante: Nah, I'm good. I'm a swordsman, all I need is just a sword, magic or not, and I'm golden.

Natsu: I'm good too. (took out Agni and Rudra) These two guys will keep me covered, right?

The silent Agni and Rudra both winked in response.

Modeus: I am a swordsman myself as well. I'm sure with a simple object I can defend myself.

Edolas Lucy: Well, some of us aren't exactly swordsmen so we could probably use some.

Wendy: Then let's get going.

The group entered the shop.

Meanwhile; in another part of Luen, Gajeel and Trish had just walked out of an alleyway.

Gajeel: Now what? Just where are we supposed to go from here?

Trish: Why don't we just start asking people around?

Gajeel: Hey, man...

Gajeel tried to ask someone but he walked away before Gajeel could ask.

Trish: Excuse me...

Trish also asked a man, but he walked away too, it didn't take long before other people around started to walk away from the two. 

Trish: Geeze, what's their problem?

Gajeel: These people here in Edolas make the jerks we have to deal with back home look like a bunch of angels.

The two then turned to three punks who were snickering towards the two.

Trish flashed an amused smile. 

Trish: Well, one thing Earthland and Edolas have in common, you can always get answers the old fashioned way.

Gajeel: (mischievous smile) Yeah, by hitting them.

The two walked to the punks.

Punk 1: You bozos wanna start something?

Punk 2: Step up you lousy horseflies!

Gajeel: (glare) You got a lot to learn about insults pal.

Trish: We got some questions we wanna ask you guys.

Punk 1: (whistle) Looky here boys. Quite a number huh?

Punk 2: Yeah, I wouldn't mind spending some time with this chick.

Trish: Maybe you can spend that time answering my questions.

Punk 1: We might be able to answer them if... (his hand down from her shoulder closer to her breast area) You'd be willing to give us some incentive...

Trish immediately grabbed the punk's wrist and twisted in a manner it wasn't supposed to be, causing him to squeal a bit. Trish then gave a kick to the side of his head, sending him to the wall and making a dent on impact.

Trish: How's that for incentive?

Punk 2: That's it!

Two punks ready to punch her, but Gajeel stepped in front and took the fists to the forehead. Gajeel gave a grin, as they didn't hurt in the slightest.

Both punks pulled their aching fists back as they pulsed red. Gajeel punched one in the gut and the other in the face knocking them down. The first punk struggled to get up, but Trish pressed her boot to his face, pinning him to the wall.

Trish: You still breathing? Now, about those answers.

Gajeel: Don't know how long I can keep her off ya, pal. You'd only seen her good side so far.

Punk 1: Okay fine! I'll talk!

Trish then let up, allowing him to stand up along with the other two punks. The first punk, however was grabbed by the collar by Gajeel.

Gajeel: Listen! A giant lacrima should have popped up around here recently, and you're gonna tell us where to find it. So start talking!

Punk 1: (panicky) I don't know where it is!

Trish: Then how about we jog your memory a little bit. (flexed her hand and cracked the knuckles a bit)

Punk 1: Honest! We don't know where it is! Right boys?! 

The other two punks nodded in response as Gajeel let him go.

Gajeel: (to Trish) Guess we're gonna have to ask someone else then.

Trish: (shrugged) Get lost you losers.

Punk 1: What's with you Gajeel? How'd you get so strong all of a sudden? 

This earned a confused look from Gajeel.

Punk 2: And where'd you get this chick? Haven't seen her before. You're usually by yourself.

Punk 3: And you're not the kind of guy to go around picking fights with people.

Gajeel and Trish looked towards each other. 

Trish: Got any idea what they're talking about?

Gajeel: They must be talking about some other version of me here in Edolas.

The two turned back to the punks.

Trish: So where is this Gajeel you're talking about?

Punks: (confused) 

Gajeel: I'm not him, we just look alike.

Punk 2: You joking? Come on you look exactly like the guy.

Gajeel: Just answer the question.

Trish: Tell us what he does, or I'll give you some incentive of my own.

Punk 3: He's a freelance journalist and he has a reputation for being way too nosy.

Gajeel: A journalist?

Trish: Never knew you were that kind of guy. Maybe he might know where the lacrima is.

Gajeel: Then lets get the scoop on him.

Meanwhile, in the black market shop

The group was looking around at the musty old shop. Mostly Wendy, Happy, and Carla; Dante, Natsu, and Modeus just stood around as they claimed to already have all that they'll need. Edolas Lucy and Lisanna were talking to the shop owner.

Dante: This place here smells like crap.

The shop owner: That's because this stuff is old and priceless, it's what separates my merchandise from the rest.

Edolas Lucy: We didn't come here for old, usability is what matters most. There are lots of counterfeits here, so be sure to double-check everything.

Natsu: Well most of us don't need this stuff seeing as we're already set.

Wendy: (held a blue cylinder-like object) Can we get this one? Please?

Carla: Why do you want it?

Wendy: Look how cute and tiny it is.

Carla: Come now, you know better than to choose based on cuteness child.

Happy: Don't you already have something Wendy?

Wendy took out the three-pronged nunchuck known as Cerberus. 

Wendy: Yeah, but I don't know how to use it.

She begun to twirl it a bit before one of the prongs hit her in the head. 

Wendy: Ow! (rubbed her head)

Lisanna put a hand on Cerberus. 

Lisanna: Maybe you should let me hold onto those, okay?

Wendy: Okay. (let Lisanna take Cerberus)

The shop owner: (walked towards Wendy) That pretty little gizmo you got is called an Air-lift Cannon. All you have to do is pull the two ends apart and watch it work it's magic.

He pulled the ends apart and a small breeze of air began to flow from the item. Wendy was very pleased.

Modeus: I believe that suits you.

Natsu: I guess we'll take that then.

The shop owner: Alright. That will cost 10,000; but I'll knock it down to 8,000 just because I like ya. How does that sound?

Dante: It sounds expensive.

The shop owner: Well these items are hard to come by.

Lisanna: Uh... I probably should have asked that first, but do you guys have any money?

Natsu: (laugh) What made ya think that?

Edolas Lucy: That's not funny!

Modeus: I'm sure any currency we do have is useless here.Given we're not from here.

Dante: Come on Lucy, pay the guy will ya?

Edolas Lucy to give a bit of surprised gasp.

Edolas Lucy's mind: I hate to admit it, but being bossed around is kind of a nice change. Not to mention this Dante guy is actually kind cute.

Dante: I'm guessing you guys don't have money either, do you?

Lisanna gave a sheepish smile as she rubbed the back of her head.

Lisanna: Not really...

The shop owner: No. I couldn't take your money after all you lovely ladies have done for me.

Lisanna: It's nothing, just trying to help, that's all.

The shop owner: Just go ahead and take it as a present from me.

Edolas Lucy: Really? You sure?

Wendy: Thank you so very much.

Modeus: Yes, thank you for your help.

Dante: Come on guys, let's beat it, we're in a bit of a hurry, remember?

Once outside Dante was the first to speak up. 

Dante: Seriously ladies, thanks. Any way to pay you back?

Edolas Lucy looked to the side a bit. 

Edolas Lucy: Well... if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to hear more about this other Lucy of yours.

The group was now at an outdoor café. The group had just talked about the Lucy from Earthland, and right now all Edolas Lucy could do was laugh hard while pounding her fist against the table; while Lisanna giggled a bit too.

Edolas Lucy: Wait, you're kidding?! I'm writing a novel?! (continued to laugh) And I'm some kind of rich girl with magical spirit keys?! (laughed a bit too)

Modeus: Not quite the reaction I was expecting.

Lisanna: Well... (giggled) Given how different this Lucy is... even I think it's funny.

Wendy looked towards Dante a bit and noticed an odd expression on his face. 

Wendy: Hey Dante, you okay?

Dante: Yeah I'm fine. It's just something here.

Happy: Something up with the café?

Natsu: Or the city?

Dante: Not the city, but Edolas as a whole. This whole place, this world it has this... smell to it... it smells like shit or more like... blood.

Wendy: Blood?

Dante: There's death here, all over this place. This King here, he's willing to kill anyone for just having something that even looks like magic; kinda scary, for a vulture anyway.

Lisanna: You're calling him a vulture?

Natsu: Yeah I think vulture sounds right.

Edolas Lucy: Watch it! Having magic is bad enough, but talking trash about the King like in public that will get you into serious trouble!

Dante: You're talking to us like we're a couple of ten year olds. Sister, I've seen things that would give you nightmares, the kind that would have you screaming for your mother. I'll call these guys whatever I want to call them. They stole my family from me and they're already messing up their own world to. They need to be put down, and I'm the guy to do it.

Edolas Lucy: What?! Are you insane!? (she stood straight up) There's no way you can fight the Royal Army!

Natsu: Then why are you helping us?

Lisanna: Guys look... Believe me, I'm sure we all want to teach them a lesson. But we just can't, we don't... We don't have the means to fight them.

Happy: We do. And his name's 'Dante'.

Before anyone could answer, multiple Edolas Soldiers entered the outdoor café. 

Edolas 1: There they are! Corner off the area!

Lisanna: The royal army!

Modeus: How'd they find us?

Solder 2: You're Fairy Tail wizards aren't you?

Solder 3: You ain't getting away this time!

Despite being found; Dante remained calm and sat in his seat. 

Dante: Well, looks like we've been spotted.

Natsu: Looks like it.

Edolas Lucy: What are you guys doing?! We need to leave now!

Natsu: (to Dante) Seems she needs some convincing. Come on, show them what you can do.

Solder 4: You're coming with us.

One guard walked towards the table. However, Dante, not even turning around, flashed his Ivory pistol over his shoulder and shot the approaching guard in the head, killing him instantly.

Edolas Lucy and Lisanna found themselves quite surprised at this; while the Royal soldiers also looked surprised as well. Using this, Dante kicked the table; the force sent him and the chair he was still sitting in straight the group of incoming guards. 

The chair shattered on impact and Dante flipped over, landing in the middle of the group of guards on his feet and left hand. 

As they tried to get to him, Dante pulled out his Ebony pistol in his other hand and began to fire. His bullets tore through the front most guards like tissue paper. He continued to fire but soon noticed these bullets were blocked by something.

Dante: Hmph, shields huh?

The guards now held some form of glowing blue shields to protect themselves.

Solder 5: Get him!

They charged forward with their spears; but all the spears met the ground that was supposed to have someone there. They looked in surprise at this.

Dante: Up here dickheads!

They looked up to see Dante high in the air, wielding Rebellion. He dove down, sword-first. The impact caused many of the guards to go flying. Dante swiped his sword in a circular motion to knock back and cut down all the remaining guards.

Natsu had a smile on his face as this was expected and Happy had an even wider smile; Modeus had covered Wendy's eyes so she wouldn't see too much of this. Carla looked unsurprised. However, Edolas Lucy and Lisanna were both speechless as their mouths hung open at this.

Dante stood proudly in the middle of the ring of dead guards. 

Dante: Please hold your applaus.

Edolas Lucy: (stuttered) How did... A whole squad I... just how... who... who are you?

Dante: As I said, my name is Dante.

Lisanna: Where did you find this guy?

Natsu: Long story...

Natsu couldn't finish as a spear was coming towards him. Natsu was able to block it in time by quickly drawing Agni in his right hand. Natsu then gave a kick to the guard's head sending him rolling away, revealing another incoming squad.

Dante: Hey looky, more goons to beat up.

Natsu: (eager smile) I got this.

Natsu drew Rudra in his left hand and jumped into the squad. He swung Agni and Rudra rapidly and was able to cut down most of the incoming spears. 

He blocked one spear-strike by crossing the two demon swords in an x-formation before head-butting the guy. Natsu then swept his legs to sweep the guards around him off his feet.

Solder 6: Attack! Get him!

The solider and his other men were about to charge forward.

Modeus: My apologies.

Modeus quickly stood in front wielding Nevan, using the scythe to block the spears. 

Modeus: But I will not allow you to do that.

Modeus twirled the scythe like a helicopter blade to slice off the blades of the spears before charging forward; the force sent all the incoming guards flying away.

As Natsu, Dante, and Modeus attempted to fight off the guards, Lisanna drew Cerberus and smacked one guard that was running towards Wendy who tried to open her container, once she did however, it released a massive tornado which encompassed the group and sent them flying away from the remaining guards and into an empty building.

Edolas Lucy peeked through a hole in the door to see the Edolas guards running through the streets, they hadn't yet noticed them.

Edolas Lucy: Well, at least we're away from the Royal Army.

Dante: Too bad, I was actually enjoying shredding those idiots.

Natsu: You and me both buddy.

Edolas Lucy: Do you guys have any idea what you did?!

Dante: What?

Edolas Lucy: You, pretty boy, just killed a bunch of Royal Soldiers; now the Kingdom won't stop till you're gone!

Dante: A lot of people tried to kill me, but I'm still here.

Modeus: You'd be surprised of what this man in particular has been through.

Lisanna: Maybe we can argue about this after we find a way out of here.

Wendy: Yeah that's probably a good idea.

Happy: So how do we do that?

Carla: Isn't there any way out of here?

Lisanna: Not that I know of.

Dante: I don't mind fighting our way out.

Before anything else could be said, the group heard some commotion outside.

???: We found you Fairy Tail!

The group looked surprise but even more surprised at what came next.

???: Hey, let go of me!

Dante: What the hell?

The group peered the door open and all looked on with shock at what they saw.

Soldier 1: You're Lucy aren't you?

The soldier and his other goons held a certain blonde wizard.

Lucy: Yeah I'm Lucy, now get your grubby hands off me jerk!

Natsu: Lucy?!

Dante: Our Lucy?!

Edolas Lucy: The other me?!

Modeus: What in the world...

Happy: How's Lucy here?

Carla: I.. I don't know.

Lucy: Let go of me!

Dante: Those pricks.

Dante and Natsu both ran towards this.

Lisanna: Natsu... Wait!

Lucy had taken out one of her golden keys.

Lucy: Open! Gate of the Scorpion...

Dante: Lucy no! Your magic won't work here!

Lucy:  ...Scorpio!

In a flash of golden light, Lucy's celestial spirit Scorpio had appeared in front of the Edolas Royal Guard.

Scorpio: Wicked!

This was enough to make both Dante and Natsu stop in their tracks and everyone else behind to look in complete and utter surprise.

Scorpio: Sand buster!

Scorpio unleashed a twister of sand from his tail that encompassed all the royal guard present and send them flying.

Natsu: Magic...?

Wendy: No way.

Dante: How could she...?

Edolas Lucy: Wow. How'd she do that?

Lisanna: That's your Lucy?

Modeus: Yes that is her.

With that Scorpio vanished from sight.

Dante: Lucy.

And that is when she finally noticed them.

Lucy: Dante! Natsu! I missed you guys! 

She began to run towards the group.

Modeus: This is confusing.

Wendy: No kidding.

Lucy then noticed her Edolas Twin behind the rest of the group. 

Lucy: That's me!

Dante: Well... isn't this awkward.

Chapter 26 ended.
