Chapter 2: Terra, Aqua, Ventus, and Chirithy Find Wendy

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon in the Land of Departure, the air warm with a slight breeze. Terra, Aqua, Ventus, and Chirithy were making their way to Master Eraqus' grave, a spot where they would often go to pay their respects. Aqua carried a picnic basket, Terra a jug of water, and Ventus, or "Ven" as his friends called him, had a blanket slung over his shoulder, while Chirithy waddled behind, panting occasionally.

As they reached the site of Eraqus' resting place, Ventus, always the most energetic of the group, ran ahead and spread the blanket out near the grave. He plopped down on it with a wide grin.

"Could you guys wait up?" he called back to his companions.

The trio turned to see Chirithy struggling to keep up, the little Dream Eater huffing as it slowly waddled towards them. When it finally reached them, it collapsed onto its belly with a tired sigh, causing the group to chuckle.

"Sorry, Chirithy," Aqua said, placing the basket down beside the blanket.

Terra placed the water on the ground and stretched, his deep sigh of relief echoing through the peaceful surroundings. "Finally, a nice day. I thought the rain would never end."

"Yeah, it was raining cats and dogs for the past three days," Ventus added with a laugh, his eyes bright. But he stopped mid-sentence as Chirithy gave an exaggerated grunt.

"Sorry, Chirithy," Ven said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. Terra and Aqua exchanged a light-hearted laugh.

After settling down, the group chatted, ate, and made small jokes. Ventus and Chirithy playfully chased each other around, their laughter echoing through the air. Terra and Aqua smiled as they watched the duo, the simple joy of the moment settling in.

"The breeze is nice," Aqua said, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath.

But as if in response, the wind suddenly picked up, becoming much stronger than before. It swirled around them, pushing against their bodies as if trying to pull them away. The peaceful atmosphere was quickly replaced by an unsettling roar of wind.

"What in Kingdom Hearts' name is going on with this wind?!" Terra shouted, his arm shielding Aqua from the gusts.

"I don't know! It was fine a second ago!" Aqua yelled back, her hair whipping around her face.

"Ugh, not more rain! We just got over three days of it!" Ventus complained, holding Chirithy close as he grabbed Aqua's hand.

The wind howled like a storm coming from all directions. The sky darkened, casting an ominous shadow over the Land of Departure. And then, the swirling winds began to form a vortex. It hovered above the training grounds near the castle, spinning faster and faster until a bright beam of light shot down from the center. The energy crashed into the ground with an explosive force, sending a shockwave through the area.

"What was that?!" Terra exclaimed, his arms instinctively going to Aqua, protecting her from the aftermath of the blast.

"I don't know... but something definitely fell from that opening in the sky," Aqua said, her eyes wide as she scanned the area where the light had landed.

"A shooting star?" Ventus offered, but his friends shot him with disbelieving looks.

"I don't think stars fall to the ground, let alone out of a giant swirling vortex in the middle of the day," Terra said, clearly unimpressed with his friend's idea.

"We need to figure out what fell from the sky. It looked like it landed on the training grounds," Aqua said, her voice firm with resolve.

They quickly packed up, but Ventus, his curiosity piqued, didn't wait for the others. He sprinted off towards the training grounds, eager to see what had fallen from the sky.

"Ven! Come back! You don't know what fell from the sky!" Terra yelled, chasing after him.

"Terra, wait! Ven's gone already!" Aqua called out as she grabbed Chirithy, ready to follow.

"I'll never understand those two," Aqua muttered, shaking her head as she sprinted after them.

Ventus' POV, 10 minutes later

"I wonder what fell from the sky?" I think to myself, the thought racing through my mind as I approach the training grounds. The ground is still scorched from the blast, and as I get closer, something catches my eye in the center.

"What the...?" I blink in disbelief. In the center of the training grounds, there's a girl lying unconscious.

I pick up speed, my heart pounding in my chest. As I get closer, I can make out her features. She looks to be around my age, with long, dark blue hair that reaches down to her waist. Two bangs frame her face, hanging just over her chest. She wears a flowing dress with a triangular pattern near the top, and a crossing pattern along the rest of the dress. Thick bands are tied around her arms, and she's wearing sandals with ankle bands.

But what stands out the most is the mark on her left shoulder—an intricate design that looks like a fairy with a tail.

I stare at her for a moment, unsure what to do, until I hear Terra's voice shouting behind me.

"Ven! There you are! What are you—" His voice trails off as he catches sight of the girl. "Ven! Where did you find this girl?" he demands, concern in his tone.

"I don't know! But I think she was what fell from the sky during that little hurricane!" I yell back.

Aqua arrives next, equally shocked by the sight of the girl.

"We need to help her," Aqua says, crouching next to the unconscious girl. "She may be unconscious, but she's still alive. Let's get her to a room so she can rest."

Terra nods, gently lifting the girl in his arms. Together, they carry her across the courtyard and into one of the nearby spare bedrooms. Aqua pulls the covers back on the bed, and Terra lays the girl down carefully, tucking her in.

"Wait here until she wakes up," Aqua tells me, looking back over her shoulder as she and Terra leave the room.

I nod, taking a seat beside the bed and watching the girl carefully. Today has been insane, but I can't help but feel curious about her. What is she doing here? Why did she fall from the sky?

Chirithy hops onto my lap and looks up at me with wide, curious eyes.

"Today's been a crazy day, huh, Ven?" Chirithy asks, its voice a soft murmur.

I pet it gently, my mind still racing. "Yeah, it really has been..."
