It was a rare rainy day in Magnolia, and Wendy Marvell and her partner, Carla, were running through the streets, desperately trying to reach the Fairy Tail guildhall before they got completely soaked. The air was thick with the scent of rain as they hurried, their feet splashing through the puddles.

As they neared the door of the guild, Wendy heard the unmistakable sounds of shouting and chaos coming from inside. There were loud voices arguing and clattering noises—sounds that were all too familiar.

"It seems like some of the members are fighting again," Wendy chuckled, her tone light, though a touch amused.

"Probably Natsu and Gray bickering again," Carla said with a scowl, her wings fluttering anxiously as they pushed the guild doors open.

Inside, the usual scene awaited them: laughter, brawls, and the usual noise of Fairy Tail. Wendy grinned as she scanned the room, spotting her guildmates and their antics. She soon found Natsu and Gray, as expected, near the request board, shouting at each other, neither one willing to back down.

"Oh, Natsu, Gray..." Wendy thought to herself, shaking her head with a fond smile.

But as she stepped into the guildhall, her attention was quickly drawn elsewhere. A familiar voice, smooth and calm, called her name.

"Hello, Wendy. You're right on time."

Wendy turned to see the scarlet-haired woman, Erza Scarlet, standing nearby with a mysterious smile on her face.

"Hmm?" Wendy replied, slightly confused.

"The master said he wanted to show us something he found in the guild's storage room," Erza explained, her smile fading into a more serious expression.

At that moment, Makarov Dreyar, the beloved guild master, appeared on the second-floor railing. His loud, booming voice echoed throughout the hall, demanding attention.

"Children! While I was cleaning out the guild's storage room, I found a treasure that has incredible power!" Makarov shouted, his voice carrying excitement.

"TREASURE! NOW THIS IS GOING TO BE COOL!" Natsu's voice rang out as he jumped into the air, his fists pumping in excitement.

"Treasure?" Gray muttered, uninterested, leaning against the wall with his arms folded. "Come on, gramps, there's no way that's true."

Wendy stepped forward, her curiosity piqued. "Come on, Gray, maybe it's true. Master, may I see the key?"

Carla quickly flew in front of Wendy, her face etched with concern.

"Wendy, no! It could be dangerous!" Carla protested, her voice tinged with fear.

Wendy looked down at her partner, her expression warm and reassuring. "It's okay, Carla. I'll be fine."

Wendy gently reached out for the object that Makarov was holding. He handed it to her with a proud grin, revealing a golden key with a strange green vertex shape at the top, glowing faintly.

This is called a Portal Key," Makarov explained, his excitement growing. "Apparently, it can allow the user to travel to another world!"

"Another world?" Gray raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "Yeah, right."

Wendy's eyes widened with intrigue. "Could it really be true?" she whispered, her voice filled with awe.

As she took hold of the key, a strange sensation rushed through her. The key began to glow more intensely, almost as if it had a life of its own. The room fell silent for a moment, as if sensing something was about to happen.

Suddenly, a cold shiver ran down Wendy's spine. The key felt unnaturally heavy in her hands, as if it had become locked onto her, and she tried to pull it away, but it wouldn't budge.

"WENDY! RELEASE IT! NOW!" Makarov shouted, his voice filled with urgency.

"I—I can't! It's stuck!" Wendy cried out, panic creeping into her voice. She tried to pry the key off, but no matter how hard she struggled, it wouldn't come free.

"Wendy!" Lucy exclaimed, rushing to her side. "It's going to be okay! Even if you end up in another world, we'll find a way to bring you back!" She placed a hand on Wendy's shoulder, trying to reassure her.

Wendy looked at her guildmates, her eyes brimming with tears. She gave them a faint smile, nodding despite the fear building inside her. "I trust you all. Please, don't worry about me."

With one last, heart-wrenching glance at Carla and her guildmates, Wendy felt a rush of light envelop her. In an instant, she was gone, leaving only a flash of bright light behind her.
