It's been about four weeks since Ezra adopted Chord as her pet and she's completely infatuated with the dragon. Chord always enjoys the games the young Tennyson plays with him, and he loves the massages she gives him.

Not to mention the young hatchling literally gets hypnotized by his owner's singing, he absolutely loves Ezra's voice. And he always returns by fending off would be attackers from her, comfort her when her parents, older sisters or Lucy aren't around. And one time when she scraped her hand in the park he little dragon had cried in sympathy and had unintentionally healed her.

Funny thing, Dragon tears have healing properties, go figure "here's your food Chord" the girl said giving the reptile a plate of meat. It licked it's lips and had closely started to eat his meal, it made a purring sound as she pet his head. "You're a good boy" she said giggling, nearby on the kitchen table were Amber and Wendy who were observing their little sister interact with her pet.

Carla was there also, discretely taking pictures of the cute interaction, "my my she really is precious" she mewed. "Aww" Wendy said eating a random Banana, "Wow Ezra is really caring isn't she?" Amber commented. "Yeah and it's just too cute" Wendy said, the blonde nodded.

Then spoke again "you know with her being all caring and protective of Chord I nearly mistook her for a mother" she said. The two looked at her funny, "what? You got to admit with her kind nature and caring personality she kinda does seem like a mother" she countered.

They then heard the dragon screech a little, looking to them they saw Ezra clapping "yay you are all your food, you get dessert now" she said before taking some coal out of her pocket. Then fed each mineral to the dragon one at a time, "I still can't see why a dragon would want to eat coal" Wendy said.

Chord has made small growling squeaks, and Ezra then spoke "'they are tasty to earth dragon's and mineral dragon's so as an Omni Dragon I can eat them also' that's what Chord said" she explained. The three sweat dropped at the reminder, "oh yeah, I forgot Ezra can speak dragon naturally" Amber said.

True to her statement Ezra is somehow able to talk to Chord, while everyone else hears growls and squeals Ezra can hear words. "It is impressive though" Carla said before hearing a flatulent sound, and they covered their noses and groaned. Ben and Erza then walked in and when they caught a whiff of a small they covered their noses too, "oh Man" Ben groaned fanning his hand.

"Ezra (cough) (cough) I'm afraid Chord has left us a surprise again" Erza said as they all stepped away. "Oh nice more shiny rocks" Ezra said, and oddly what she had picked up was indeed a shiny rock. Specifically, Diamonds, as mentioned a few stories away Chord has the ability to defecate diamonds if he eats coal. And luckily that also happens to anything else he eats so long as he eats coal after.

"I've heard of dirty money but this is a whole new meaning of the word" Carla said as Ezra put on some gloves and washed the diamonds outside. "so what are we going to do with those diamonds?" Wendy asked, "for one thing we are thinking of saving them to help pay off any damages caused by the guild" Erza said.

"And by the guild she means by Natsu and Gray" Ben added, making the three giggle in agreement. Ezra then came back in with the now clean diamonds with Chord on her back nuzzling her face. "If anyone needs me I'll be in the attic" she said walking down the hall, "why would she be in the attic?" Erza asked "she likes it in there you know that" Ben said.

Inside he attic Ezra was sitting in a little hammock with Chord laying on her stomach, she was currently reading a book titled "The Basics and History of Dragon Slayer Magic"

"Let's see, the origin of Dragon slayer magic" she said looking through the page index,  "here it is, the history of the magic" flipping to the beginning of the book she turned a few pages and found it. "Okay, the first appearance of Dragon Slayer magic occurred around a few hundred years in the past. When the first dragon's appeared in Fiore they caused a bit of a spur with their size and power. In order to help deal with them a wizard had developed a magic after encountering a dragon, by absorbing their attacks and throwing it back" she read. "After seeing the humans shared the similar fire power they had, the dragon's had taken on young apprentices of human children to help them improve on their new magic which was dubbed, dragon slayer magic. Over the years the ancient magic had disappeared when the dragon's had as well. Though it has popped up every once in a while signifying that the dragon's have returned back to Earthland" she then looked at Chord.

"Maybe the dragon's are returning to Earthland" she said petting his head, after finding her new pet Ezra's wanted to learn more about him. But the only thing she's been able to find were books on dragon slayer magic and nothing on the creatures it was used against. "Maybe we'll head to the library to find any other books" she said, "anything on your mind sweetie?" Ben asked entering the Attic.

"I just wanted to learn about Dragons, so I can bond more with Chord. But all I have are these spell books" she said showing it to her dad. "Maybe Gramps can help us out" Ben suggested, later on we see the Tennyson family at the guild hall. Ben and Ezra were talking to Master Makorov about the history of Dragon's, unfortunately the elder didn't have much knowledge on the subject either.

"Sorry I couldn't be of use Ezra, but what brought up the topic?" He asked, she fidgeted her hands "well, ever since adopting Chord, I've wanted to learn about dragon's so I can bond with him and care for him easily" she answered. Makorov smiled "that warms my heart, to see a young child going an extra mile to learn more about their companions" he said.

"But if you want information on dragon's I suggest going to a few mages around the country... Gah" Gramps was saying as he handed her a sheet if paper with various names on it. Only for Natsu to grab it from him "experts on Dragon's? Awesome!" He said, "uncle Natsu give it back!" Erza said trying to grab it from him. "Only if you take me with you to find these experts. I can use their knowledge to help me find Igneel" Natsu said.

"I'm not sure if that's a good idea Natsu" Wendy said, "I want to find my Dragon too but if you try and ask them something they may not respond so well" she added. "What do you mean?" The fire dragon wizard asked confused, Lucy had a blank expression knowing what she meant by that. "Well you don't exactly have the best manners" she commented, "both Lucy and Wendy are right Natsu. If Ezra does bring you along you're bound to do something to get these wizards angry and kick you two out of the house" she said.

"WHAT?! NO I WON'T!!" Natsu yelled indignantly. "Yeah right Natsu you'll probably hit them if they don't get straight to the point" Happy said. Making him more mad, "oh yeah! Well if Ezra here can't beat me in a fight" he was then glared at by Ben and had a sword at his throat held by Erza. Both growling at him, "by that I mean a small contest! Nothing major you know!!" He screamed not wanting to get killed.

"The contest is Target Practice" Happy them posted a small paper target on a nearby wall, "whoever hits the target most wins" Natsu explained. "I'm not sure about this" Ezra said, "you scared? If you don't want to do this just let me join yah" the dragon slayer said.
Having enough Ezra simply created a tiny wrist mounted launcher made with a samurai ninja alien named Clawtana's DNA on her right hand and shot the paper about six times with Kumasi projectiles in the dead center.

Blade on top of blade "WAH?!" He uttered confused, "I'm sorry uncle Natsu but I really want to have Maximus success with learning about Chord's heritage. But with you're destructiveness it would make things difficult" she said walking away and making the launcher disappear. "But I promise that if we find out anything about Igneel we'll tell you" she said, then Gramps handed her the list of people who had knowledge on dragons.

"Here you go Lass, hope you have better luck than Natsu" he said wishing good luck, "so if we are going on this journey, how will we be traveling?" Erza asked. "Well, we'll be going around Fiore cross country, so we'll need a set of wheels. Which gives me an idea" the hero was about to take out his phone when they were approached by Tahu and Cana "hey Bro, What's this about traveling around Fiore?" The blacksmith asked.

"Oh, Ezra just wanted to know more about Dragon's so we decided to ask Gramps. And he gave us a list of people who have data on Dragon's" Ben explained. "Mind if we come?" Cana asked, "why?" Amber replied "well think about it it could be fun" the alcoholic said.

"Erza what do you think?" He asked, "Well as she said it could be fun, we could make it a family thing" the red haired mother replied. "Hey yeah, it'll be like old times when me, grandpa Max and Gwen first went on that summer road trip" Ben said. "Question is" Gwen said approaching them "where're you gonna get a rust bucket?" Kevin asked.

"That's what I was hopping to ask you about" The shapeshifter smirked, later on we now see everyone outside the guild hall, as it was now parked on the ground. With a large tarp in front of it, "ladies and gentlemen, wizards and Exceeds. May I introduce the Fairy Tail guild's own mobile recreational transport" Kevin then grabbed the tarp. "The Fairy Trail" pulling it down it was revealed to be an RV eerily similar to the original Rust Bucket.

Save for the non existent rust marks, "ah, looks like the old gal" Max said remembering his days on the road with the rust bucket. "Yeah only much newer than the pictures you showed me" Rook commented, zed looked it over "seems real cool" she said.

"The latest technology, making her real strong, comes with top furnishings to be extra comfortable. And multiple weapon systems to go on the attack if needed" Kevin said. "And inside has several thugs to do" Ben then showed everyone inside, "from entertainment" he then shows a large flatscreen and a game console based on Ben's.

"To research" he then gestures to a book shelf of spell books and others with a crystal ball. "To a whole bunch of others", "awesome!" Amber said looking at the place's interior. Wendy then took out one of the books "half of the books here I haven't even read yet" she uttered in awe.

"And the best part, we're currently working on more in case other members of Fairy Tail want to go on missions and need some mobile recreation" Kevin added. "So we're actually going?" Ezra asked, "well you wanted to learn more about Chord's species. And who are we to stop your quest for knowledge?" Erza asked.

Her daughter smiled, excited she was going on her first time trip away from her home.
