It was a cold night in Magnolia, Ben was walking around the ravine trying to clear his mind. Ever since the attack from Daphne's dragons he's been very concerned about the safety of everyone in town. So he's been patrolling the area making sure nothing sinister was afoot.

But tonight he was just clearing his mind, about what though you may ask? He has jurisdiction over Wendy because of his Dragon slayer magic. And for some reason Erza has only... snuggled with him in bed, before she was way rougher...

If anyone knows what it means when two people "go to bed" you'd get the idea. However since the incident with the Oracion Seis Erza has been less active in Bed.

"Just what is going on?" He asked himself, 'I know I shouldn't be thinking this... but sometimes I wish I could at least go back to my world... just to try and reminisce on what had happened before' he thought. Then screaming could be heard along with angry yelling from across the water way.

Looking to the source Ben saw a small child, most likely around 10 or 12, being chased by an angry farmer. "Get back here you no good free loading trespasser!!!" He yelled to the child. "Stop I just want a place to live" the kid said before falling into the water, "AAAHHHH!?!?!?!?!" She ten started flailing around.

"HELP!!!" She screamed struggling to swim, "Don't worry help is on the way" Ben yelled jumping into the water. A minute later the farmer was gone and Ben had pulled the child out of the ravine. "Come on kid please wake up" he said trying to keep the kid conscious, the adolescent seemed very much androgynous having slightly broad shoulders like a boy.

A thin neck like a girl, and blondish bronze hair, "please kid, I... I can't let anyone else die" Ben said. As you could tell he's a little bit hung up on not being able to save his old universe and still can't handle the pain. Having no response from the undetermined gendered child Ben had proceeded with CPR. After five times the kid finally coughed up the water he or she had in her lungs.

"(Cough) (cough), oh... uh... thank you sir" the kid said in a slightly high voice. 'Girl then?' Ben thought, "it's nothing, its just what I do, but still why was that man chasing you?" Ben asked, then realized the girl or boy was soaking wet. And also... their underwear was showing... and apparently the child was a girl.

"Uh come on, let's get you dried off first" he said ushering the young girl back to his house.

Once the two had gotten there Ben had given her some spare clothes she could wear. It was actually one of the old outfits he had from when he was 10 years old. to keep for prosperity.

And surprisingly they fit her well, she also had green eyes like Ben, in fact take away the blonde hair she could pass as younger Ben. "Okay then, for now your clothes are in the washer. Just need to wait a while" Ben said before looking at her, "you know those were actually my old clothes" he added. The girl looked at them, "well... they fit me well... and thanks" she said, "so why was that farmer chasing you?" Ben asked her.

"Well... I was living in his shed for a while, but then he found me and started chasing" she explained. "So why were you living in his shed?" Ben asked, her eyes then started to tear up, "oh sorry. I brought up a sensitive... again I apologize" Ben said concerned he might've struck a cord in the child.

"My... my parents... they..." she then bursts into tears, the hero couldn't stand to hear a girl so sad they cry. Much less a child, he then patted the child's back, "it's okay... it's okay... just tell me what's wrong" Ben said.

She told him that a few months ago her parents were taken from her by a monster and she had been alone ever since. Shocked and mortified by what the girl had said, Ben had again comforted her. And allowed her too stay the night.

The next day

Ben is now seen with the girl walking around Magnolia, "so what are we doing?" She asked now back in her old clothes. Which had consisted of a orange and peach long sleeve shirt, jeans and oddly chest and shoulder armor. Much like the athletics gear football players wear, "well for now we're going to get you something to eat. Besides you look like you haven't eaten in days" Ben answered.

"Three weeks actually, not easy when your foods either harvested or taken by crows" The girl, who's name was revealed to be Amber said. "Seriously what have you done for faith to do this to you?" Ben asked.

They then stopped in front of a restaurant, it was actually one he went to a couple times before when he wasn't in the mood for making his own food. "Oh mister Tennyson, good to see you again. And who might this be?" A waitress asked spotting Amber, "this is Amber, I found her yesterday being chased by an angry farmer and almost drowning in the revive last night" the Fairy Tail member stated.

"Oh dear" another waitress added, "and the worst part she lost her parents and hadn't eaten for three weeks" Ben added, that made everyone in the place pale and then pull the two into a booth. "Get this young lady something to eat" the manager said, "Tennyson? Oh yeah now I remember why your name is familiar. Your that famous Fairy Tail guild made Ben Tennyson" Amber said.

"The one who defeated two demons, Lullaby at Onibus and Deliora on Galuna island. Defeated guild master Jose of the former Phantom Lord guild, the Etherio Mage Jellal, Laxus Dreyar one of the Thunder legion, alongside Natsu Dragneel Zero the master for the Oracion Seis. And recently you and Fairy Tail beat those dragon things" Amber said. "Well you know your stuff kid" Ben commented chuckling, "well when you live near here you tend to hear some stuff" Amber said.

A little later the food finally arrived and both dug in, Ben was surprised to see Amber eat so much. Heck she even ate one of the plates before coughing it back up, 'she really was that hungry' he thought.

"Sorry... like I said haven't eaten for three weeks" the said awkwardly, after breakfast the two went back to Ben's house. "So what happens now?" The shapeshifter asked the girl, "well I sure ain't going back to that shed. The farmer probably has it on lock down now" she said downcast. "Maybe for now you should stay here, until we figure something out" Ben said as they walked inside.

Only to see Gramps inside with Natsu "Hey Ben" the dragon slayer said happily eating out of Ben's fridge. "NATSU HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THIS GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!!" Ben yelled throwing the annoying pink hair out the window.

"Hello Ben, may I ask who's the kid?" Gramps asked gesturing to Amber, "hey master Makorov, if you must know this is Amber. I found her last night drowning in the ravine, she lost her parents and I'm trying to help as best I can" Ben said stroking Amber's girl hair. "Well nice to meet you Amber" Makorov said offering his hand out to shake which she did.

Just then Natsu came back in "HEY BEN WHATS THE DEAL KICKING ME OUT OF YOUR HOUSE I JUST WANTED TO VISIT!!!" He yelled. Amber got startled then screamed and glowed a golden light, the she was seen to have white almost indestructible armor on then punched Natsu out with one of her fists. "Okay, you never told me you could do that" Ben said looking at Amber.

"I... I have magic, it's similar to the woman Erza Scarlett's magic... requip, with it I can change into different outfits and armor's like her knight" Amber explained. Then unquipped back into her original outfit, "but mine is more different... instead of the knight it's called the guard. The knight only offers the user to hold different armors at a time. The guard can allow the user to not only store armor's and weapons in infinite pocket space... but too also create new armor's" Amber added on.

"That's... pretty awesome" Ben said, "and handy" he added, "only problem is. I have zero creativity to make my armor's and weapons" she said sadly. Then Natsu came back again "THATS IT!!  BEN KICKING ME OUT IS FINE BUT I'M NOT GONNA LET A KID GET THE BETTER OF ME!!!!" He yelled.

Ben then turned into Omni sand shot at the pestering Dragon slayer, only he shot out an Omnitrix patch by accident. However instead of hitting him the latch bounced off Natsu because his scarf knocked it away. Then the victim of the patch was actually Amber, fortunately it only hit her armor.

"Hey, what's going on!?" She yelped surprised, the she began glowing again. Only this time it was emerald mixed in with the gold light. Once it dimmed down Amber's black and white armor now had the Omnitrix symbol on it and glowed bright emerald. Then after she requipped into something new, this new outfit she made was red, had a mask and.. four arms?

She looked at herself stunned with her new armor, "looks like you got something" Natsu said rushing her, only to be hit with a low blow with her lower left arm then sucker punched with Amber's upper right. Ben whistled impressed, "nice job Amber, normally it takes a lot more to actually hit Natsu let alone hurt him" he said.

She blushed then unquipped, Makorov then examined the girl "it seems like that Omnitrix patch that hit Amber must've some how fused with her magic. Allowing her to gain armor's and outfits based on your old alien forms" Gramps explained.

"Wow" the girl said amazed by her new abilities, FYI on their way back to he house Ben had told her about him. "I don't think we can get it off either" Ben said referring to the patch, "well, Amber since you've got my powers now. It looks like I'm gonna have to teach you how to use them" he said.

She looked at him confused, "what do you mean?" She asked, "Amber you have my abilities, but you don't know how to use them. So from now on I'm gonna be your teacher and show you how to use your newfound powers. So that way you can find out what happened to your parents. And maybe you'll even become part of fairy tail, so what do you say?" He asked.

She looked hesitant, but when she thought about it he was right, she was now blessed with powers she didn't even know how to use. And he was a really nice person saving her, letting her sleep at his house, and now he's offering to show her the new skill she now possesses. She then had a look of determination "yes, it will be an honor to learn under you" she said.

"Great see you around fairy tail some time my boy" Gramps said walking out the door. Amber then flinched then slumped over, Ben's eyes shot open with concern. "Uh Amber are you alright?" He asked, "people always keep calling me a boy when I'm a girl" she said. "Oops sorry, I forgot" the old man said then started running, "ignore him, now come one we have a long while of training ahead of us" Ben said.

And from that day on he trained Amber to use her new powers at near max potential.  And she learned so fast also, able to master Heatblast's pyrokinsis and geokinesis to make flying rock platforms. And even took Lessons from Erza once the red head saw Amber during a visit, and saw her as another role model to fallow along with Ben.

Amber even cheered him on during the 24 hour endurance race.

But Amber for some reason felt close to Ben, not like as a friend or mentor, but a deeper connection. Almost as an older brother, if not that then... as a father.

In fact what Amber hadn't known, Ben was actually considered adopting her, he was already her legal guardian. That was a long wait for papers, and in Amber's opinion she wanted to smack the employee's head for being so slow. She definitely took after Erza on that one, Ben had to hold her back at the office.

But still what will become of young Amber and her new life?

"Only time can tell" Professor Paradox said chuckling to himself then disappearing.
