one - Sky People
Shifting, she tightens her grip on the handle as she slowly drags in the air to only let it back out with a sigh.
A soft breeze blows by, the rush grazing against what was left of her bare skin with her hair swiftly shifting to her left shoulder while her dark orbs scan the area of new found civilians that dropped from above.
She cocks a brow once she sees everyone explore their surroundings. Whether it was they were examining the leaves, or letting their chest heave from inhaling so much natural oxygen.
Something bright was soaring from the skies, and everyone on the ground caught sight of it.
She wasn't quite sure of what it was, so she was thankful and most curious of what it'd be when it landed near her shelter.
Now here she was, the experience grounder, observing the people who happened to miraculously fall from the sky.
''Hey, hey, hey, hands off of him.''
She tunes her attention to the vague voice that was being shadowed by a posy.
''He's with us'' He says, approaching to two guys and one female blonde.
One of the two raised his arms in defeat. ''Relax, we're just trying to figure out where we are.''
''We're on the ground'' another voice spoke aloud. She shifts her gaze over to another male who stood next to a brunette. ''That not good enough for you?''
The other one briefly contemplates before responding ''We need to find Mount Weather.''
The mountain men. They're reputation is to be known nonetheless horrible, specifically prescribed by grounders.
''You heard my fathers message. That has to be our first priority.''
Her thin brows furrow at the mentioning of his father as the civilians start to crowd around the unnecessary scene.
''Screw you're father'' the brunette spits out.
Him and the blonde take in the fact that nobody truly cares for their survival status.
''What? You think you're in charge here? You and your little princess?''
''Do you think we care who's in charge? We need to get to Mount Weather. Not because the chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we'll get and the harder this'll be,'' the blonde informs promptly.
By the look on everyone's face, she could tell they were second guessing their I-don't-give-two-shit's behavior.
''How long do you think we'll last without those supplies? We're looking at a twenty mile trek, okay? So if we want to get there before dark, we need to leave now.''
''I got a better idea,'' the male next to the brunette speaks again. ''You two go, find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change.''
Brandi lowers her weapon with a scoff as certain people preach, ''yeah.''
''You're not listening. We all need to go-'' He continue towards his point when the leader of a posy pushed him away.
''Look at this, everybody; The chancellor of earth.''
The other one chuckles dryly. ''Think that's funny?''
The pale boy swings his foot around his leg, causing him to drop harshly from the lack of predictions.
''Wells!'' the blonde calls, attempting to go after him but was held back.
Brandi clenches her jaw as she readies the sinew of her arrow against the barely visible string. She brings it up to eye level, letting her weapon aim her towards the pale boy.
It was out of character for Brandi to proclaim such actions, but at the end of the day, she knew what was the right thing to do.
''No but that was,'' He deadpans as he stalks around him.
Wells as she recalls, takes a stand. He limps in his spot while holding up his fists.
Others started to chant a fight while Brandi was ready shoot her first victim when a shaggy hair kid appeared between the two.
''Kid's got one leg. How about you wait till it's a fair fight?''
The brunette walks towards the shaggy hair kid. ''Hey spacewalker? Rescue me next.''
Everyone giggles, easing what was once tension before the suppressing crowd divided.
Brandi heaves a deep sigh and drops her aim. Though, her gaze lingered further on the brunette and male who were most inseparable since landing.
× × ×
Brandi was back in her same hiding spot as the day before, only matters around these sky people seem to have gotten worse by the increase of rebellious acts.
She watched Wells carry a bundle of clothes back towards his makeshift shelter.
''Hey, where'd you get the clothes?'' a boy stops him.
''Buried the two kids who died during the landing,'' He responds shortly but quick.
''Smart. You know, I'll take it from here. There's always a market for-'' He says, attempting to take the clothes from Wells grip but he retaliated.
''We share based on need, just like back at home,'' He reminds softly.
Suddenly, what appears to be everyone's leader comes out of the ship bare chested. Through the morning, she's come to known that his name was Bellamy.
Though the girl who followed after hasn't been quite mention to her knowledge.
''You still don't get it yet do you, chancellor?''
He stops briefly to share a chaste kiss with his companion before she heads off.
Brandi felt the need to roll her eyes but she was more confused than annoyed.
Brandi left by night fall to rest so she couldn't stay, but something in her gut has her regretting her need of sleep.
''This is home now. Your father's rules no longer apply,'' He explains before walking up to Wells and snatching the first available item on his shoulder.
Wells charged for what was his when the other boy pulled him back. But Bellamy stopped him.
''Oh, no no, Atom. Atom hold up.''
Atom retracts himself to listen to Bellamy.
''You want it back? Take it'' He challenges, only causing more anger towards the boy.
Brandi's caught off guard when Wells tosses aside the remainder of his things.
The second those items hit the ground, they began to get savaged by others around.
''Is this what you want? Chaos?''
Bellamy shrugs his shoulders while entering his arms through the sleeves of the shirt he had taken from Wells ''What's wrong with a little chaos?''
Wells didn't have time to answer when a scream pierced through the air, alarming everyone's attention.
Brandi turns to her side to watch the pale boy from yesterday to have a girl straddled with her face near the small flames of the fire.
''Bellamy, check it out. We want the Ark to think that the ground is killing us right? Figure it'll look better if we suffer a little bit first.''
Wells dash towards the two and pushes him away from her grip. ''Let her go!''
Wells turns to Bellamy who steps out from the crowd. ''You can stop this?''
His eyes sparkled while his lips curled into mischief as he says ''Stop this? I'm just getting started.''
Once the pale punches Wells, Brandi readies her bow and arrow once again, aiming for the attacker.
Though it was hard to keep aim when the two pulsed each other senselessly back and forth.
After banging his head against the ground, Wells returns his attention towards Bellamy. ''Don't you see, you can't control this?''
Her eyes narrows when she sees the pale boy's hand crawl to the front of his jeans to grab something.
The sharp object is pulled out before getting up from the floor.
''You're dead.''
''Wait'' Bellamy stops and takes a step in between the two.
Just when she thinks some actual sense was knocked into him, he pulls out a knife smaller compared to the ones in the others hand.
''Fair fight'' was the only thing he shares before dropping it to the ground and walking away.
Wells picks up the handmade object, letting the other boy know it's the beginning of yet another fight.
Without thinking, Brandi's arrow slipped from her fingertips and flew upon the open scene.
A wave of panic surrounds them by the shrieks that fill the air.
Her nerve system releases and has her trembling wildly at her mistake that she falls from the tree she was hiding in, alarming lots of heads.
