Prolouge
Third person POV
Kakashi was exhausted.
He just finished his tiring mission, and somehow, before the mission, he accidentally told his team that he will be treating them ramen.
Knowing a certain blond's stomach, he knew that his wallet will perish.
He sighed. That made him think twice about returning to Konoha.
Suddenly, he felt something weird. He felt an eccentric chakra inside a little cottage.
A cottage in the middle of nowhere? He thought curiously.
Due to his curiosity, he walked towards the small cottage with his guard up. He noticed droplets of blood in the front door.
Kakashi's eye narrowed as he grabbed a kunai from his weapon pouch.
He entered the cottage cautiously, ready to attack if someone wanted to jump on him.
The house was empty. The only thing he saw was blood in the floor. The walls were also painted in dry blood. Meaning the blood was not newly spilled.
He continued to roam the house. While wandering inside the small cottage, he stepped on a stained picture.
In the picture, there was a lady with beige colored hair and emerald green eyes, smiling brilliantly. Next to her was a black haired teenage boy with ruby red eyes, his face emotionless. Beside him, was a small boy and girl who are clearly identical twins. They both had looked a lot like the emerald eyed woman, with the same hair and eyes. Both of them are grinning mischievously with their hands entangled with each other. At the back of the picture, the word "かぞく" was written in a barely understandable handwriting.
Something was telling Kakashi to keep the blood stained picture. It wouldn't hurt to take picture, would it? So, he hesitantly picked up the picture and put it in his pouch.
After that, he sees a knob underneath the picture. Much to his surprise, he sees a small door under the floor he was standing on. Cautiously, he opens the door and finds out that it leads to a basement.
Kakashi's POV
I slowly yet carefully went down the basement.
It was dark. I barely see anything.
I lit up a fire and continued to roam the place. Surprisingly, the place looked bigger than the cottage.
I glanced at the small table beside the wall. It was filled with scissors in different sizes, drenched in blood. I didn't miss the other equipments for experimenting, which are also covered in dried blood.
I walked around the room and found a small book. It looked like it was a journal.
With slight hesitance, I read the book.
Entry no. 1 September 18
Project: Alex
Test subject no. 14
Codename: ALAISA
The subject is responding astoundingly to our tests. It is almost done and if we can perfect the experiment, we will be unstoppable. Nothing will defeat this monster we are currently creating. Its just a matter of time until it will be complete.
My brows furrowed as I read the small journal.
Third person POV
Subject? Tests? Experiment? Monster?
These questions swirled inside Kakashi's head as he browsed the papers for answers but found none.
He sighed. This day is very tiring and he wanted to go home as soon as possible.
Kakashi was about to leave when he accidentally hit his foot on the big shelf which caused the items in it to fall on him.
Crash!!
He groaned as he stood up from the pile of books he was recently covered in.
"That's the first noise I've ever heard from you people since last month."
Kakashi was startled. Whoever or whatever was speaking to him had a very hoarse and raspy voice. As if it haven't talked for ages.
He tried to find the source of the voice. He ended up in front of a metal door.
Reluctantly, he spoke "Who are you?"
"Nobody important." the voice answered.
Now that Kakashi could hear it more clearly, it was safe to conclude that it was a girl.
"Where are you?"
"Inside the cell."
"....."
Kakashi wasn't sure if he should trust the voice. It could be a trap. Who knows.
"It's okay. I can't jump on you or anything. I'm chained here."
He wanted to be sure so he checked its chakra. Its chakra was so weak and unmoving.
With slight hesitation, he laced his hand on the knob and pulled it.
The first thing he saw was a hand. A pale, bony and unmoving hand as if it was frozen.
He unconsciously gripped his kunai harder.
Inside the dark cage, was a girl. She was a petite and skinny. Very skinny. It looked like she hasn't eaten for days. Weeks. Months.
The first thing that came out of his mouth was:
"When was the last time you ate?"
Silence spread inside the small cell as Kakashi never left his gaze on the poor and obviously hungry girl.
The mysterious girl just shrugged and muttered a silent "I don't remember".
But Kakashi noticed something funny in her behavior. She was blinking rapidly and her eyes looked drowsy.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I'm just...... sleepy and....... hungry and-"
She wasn't able to finish her sentence as she fainted.
Kakashi could do nothing but stare at the unconscious girl. Yes, he was sympathizing the girl right now but...
He sighed again as he carried her on his back not long after he broke her from the chains using a jutsu.
What a very exhausting day for Kakashi. He thought as he sprinted to his village with the mysterious girl on his back.
-------------
So that's all for today. Did you like it? I dunno but my plot is very very random (;ω;)
Anyway, I'll say bye for now.
