The skull-headed man is kinder than I thought. At first, I thought he was gonna subject me to some mad scientist-y experiment with how he stared at me two days ago. But as of now, he didn't do anything too crazy. All he did was get a lock of my hair and collect my dead skin when he bathed me. That's creepy in a way, yes, but it's not too insane.

But more importantly, the inside of the cabin is normal, unlike what I imagined it to be. With how monstrous creatures kept escaping on a daily basis, I thought the cabin's interior would look like that one movie, but nope, I was wrong. Though, maybe, I spoke too soon on that because per usual, two monsters escaped and killed within the two days I've resided here.

Also, Teddy is nowhere to be seen now. Judging from how that big knight talked to it, it probably went to go with him. Probably to a battle or some sort. To say I'm not concerned is not true, but, I'm sure Teddy would go back home safely. Though I don't know about that Knight, seeing how he ran away at the sight of a dead spider.

Spending the rest of the day here with this skull-headed guy alone is awkward to say the least. Firstly, he barely talk. And I don't know how to deal with that kind of people. I was a pretty social guy back then. I had lots of friends in school, though mostly girls, since the boys would often make fun of my name, calling me gay for having such a 'feminine' name and all that. But I just stayed unbothered, because most guys that made fun of me were often ugly and would probably not attract any of the female species whether they're humans or not.

All my life, I've only interacted with at most three guys— my grandpa, my dad, and my nerd friend, Rian. Both of us don't have lots of guy friends either, so we bonded over that but not much else.

Hence why, taking aside that I'm a baby that can't talk, I don't know what I'll do about this skull-headed man. Thinking of... I don't even know his name. I could try to find it through a book of his but when I took a glance at one, they're written in thai-looking writings I don't understand.

Okay, so step one, learn how to be literate, and see what goes on from there. Step two is learning about whatever the hell I am because I'm certainly not human, at least anymore. Step three is whatever, I'll just focus on completing the steps before that.

Today is the third day I've been inside this cabin. So far, nothing much has happened. I'm just sitting here beside the window, observing the rain, as well as the thousands of red eyes stalking me through the forest. I've been wondering about this, but why didn't whatever they are attack already? They've only been watching, even when I'm standing alone outside unprotected. Maybe they're actually guard dogs and I'm the one being protected? I'll never know.

"Small one, are you not afraid?" Suddenly, the skull man's deep voice comes from behind me, asking in a curious tone as if I could answer him.

So I only stare at him, then back at the window.

"Those are the eyes of the elkwolves. They have been stalking this place ever since you arrive here. Perhaps they're waiting for you to leave."

I look at him in question of what the hell is an 'elkwolf.'

He seems to understand, as such, he brings out a book from under his black cloak. Then he swirls through the page, before stopping into one with his finger.

He then shows me the book, an ink painting of an eerie, wolf-like creature donning sharp elk antlers on its head greet me. Along with paragraphs of unreadable writing etched on the page right beside it.

"They usually hunt human children, or pups from rivaling packs. But if you could catch them, their mane could make something wearable."

He then proceeds to pull out something from behind him. A mini black cloak, one just like his but exceedingly smaller.

"For you."

He throws me the cloak, and it hits me right in the face.

Then he leaves, as if he didn't just suddenly do something fatherly for once.

I'm not even disappointed. Just confused.

Immediately after, a knock could be heard from the cabin's door. Could it be Teddy and that knight?

The skull-head then goes to open the door, to be greeted by a tall, dark-skinned man fitting an expensive looking attire.

Taking a better look, I can see that the man has a pair of spiraling horns like that of unicorn's adorned at the sides of his forehead. His fancy outfit doesn't strike as just fancy, but it strikes as royalty kind of fancy, with gold as the lining of every fabrics that make up his blouse-shirt. He also wears a velvet cape that is tucked to his shoulders by a pair of beautifully designed brooches in the shape of the rafflesia flowers.

I can't make up his face clearly, but this guy is probably a big name. Big enough to make Mr Skull-head move all wobbly.

"Your research, how's it going?" The fancy pants speaks to Skull-head in a deep reverberating voice. He begins to walk around the cabin as if this place is his home.

"As planned, your majesty. The Invocation should summon it as you wish."

'Your majesty'? What the? So this guy IS a king. But judging from his appearance as well as those horns... Maybe, he's THE Demon King!? Just like in all those fantasy novels? But I've been here for only a week... I get to see him this fast?

When he walks closer and closer to me as he looks around the cabin, I could somehow feel a very regal and snobby vibe coming from him. That is very expected if he is the king.

"Splendid. Keep it up."

When he said that, he spared a glance at me. Though his face is littered with battle scars, he still looks very handsome and young. Maybe that's the merit of being a demon, you stay young forever, though that's just my speculation.

But quite bizarrely, he gave me a weird smirk when he looked at me. Weird indeed. I'll just hope that he doesn't end up as a pedo.

"I heard you kept a fairy here. I guess that wasn't a lie," He says, looking at Mr. Skull-Head.

A fairy... Is he talking about me?

"Bring it to the palace when it reaches mature age."

Why did that gave me the creeps just now?

"Of course, your majesty. Though, I'm not quite sure if it's an actual fairy or not."

And stop calling me 'it'!

Before I know it, The King already finished his business. He silently exits the cabin while Mr. Skull-Head sees him out.

Anyways, apparently I'm a fairy? Well that answers alot of stuff. From me being born in a literal flower and my body turning into a flock of butterflies, it all add up.

"Now that His Majesty requested me to bring you to him... I suppose I'll do something to make you civilized."

Say what now?

Mr Skull-Head then brings out a whip, as well as putting beside me towers and towers of books, as if I could read any of them.

I look at how a menacing green glow seeps from out of his eyehole as he stares at me. And I could only scream inside.
